It had been three days, seventeen hours and…twenty-five minutes since Touya had last spoken to Tomura. Even then it had barely been a grunt. Why? Well, because Tomura didn’t want to have a drink with him, he was meant to be playing video games with Spinner that night.
“Got it...boss,” He’d grumbled, kicking an empty beer can on the floor of the bar before leaving, the door swinging in his stead. And that had led him to the gaming arcade that he’d sworn never to go into, even going as far as to call them stupid and childish. After checking all the machines, he’s managed to scrounge together some money to play something. Maybe if he was good enough then Tomura would prefer him over the lizard. Grunting at the thought, he pushed a coin into the slot and watched the screen fire up, a countdown beginning, and Touya groaned while re-evaluating so many life choices.
Video games had always been more of his brother’s thing. Touya had preferred the outdoors as a kid, hiking and fighting and climbing. A reckless child, until he’d become Dabi. Then he’s wished he’d shared his brother’s love for blinking screens and boss fights. Perhaps none of this would have happened if he had been more like Natsuo. But if he had been more into playing football in the yard than getting his knees dirty and starting fires in Sekoto Peak, then he would not know Tomura.
Blinking, Touya looked at the words on the screen. GAME OVER. Touya had spent the last three and a half days trying to beat the high score, which belonged to some guy who named himself TEN. He grunts with amusement, pulls the next coin from his pocket and pushes it into the machine. This time he lasts nearly ten seconds longer. From the corner of his eye, he sees a boy waiting for a turn, perhaps the age of his youngest brother.
“What you looking at, brat? Go play some other lame game, I’m not done.” He returns his gaze to the screen. Fuck you, TEN, he thought to himself, hitting the start button. He’s trying to concentrate when he catches a glimpse of pale blue hair sticking out from under a black hoodie in the reflection over his shoulder. Eyes wide, Touya turns around and tries to find an excuse.
“Some kid was…erm…you shut the fuck up about this, nerd. Not a word to no-one or I’ll burn those stupid gloves of yours,” Touya grunted, hearing the sound of the game ending. The red GAME OVER flashed on screen, periodically lighting up Tomura’s pale skin.
“I’m guessing you’re DAB, then?” Tomura was looking over his shoulder, absently scratching his throat, and Touya turned around and looked at the leaderboard. He had the second highest score, right in between the two scores set by TEN.
“Tried to put Dabi but its only three letters.” It came out as more of a grunt, looking away shamefully. He’d been caught red handed, and he had no reason to stick around now so tried to push past Tomura. A hand shot out, grabbing his elbow for just a second, enough to make Touya freeze and look down at the half-gloved hand just before it let go.
“You beat one of my scores, took me years to be able to beat that score. I thought you hated video games.” Touya let out a choked sound. TEN was Tomura? He quickly composed himself, half-stepping away from him.
“I do, just…it’s stupid.” He shrugged as they began walking back to the bar they use as their base, leaving a distance between them that was smaller than usual but still awkward. A person couldn’t fit between them, but they still took up most of the pavement.
“What were you doing there, Touya?” Tomura asked after a lengthy pause, his hair blowing in front of his face, so he used the back of his hand to brush it away out of habit. He swore that Touya’s lips twitched at the corners when he did it, but before he could properly register it the other boy had turned his head away.
“Nothing, it was raining earlier and I went in and-”
“We’ve not had rain in a week.” Touya cursed himself for using a flimsy excuse, so resigned to not speaking for the rest of the walk.
Nobody was there when they got back, Tomura pulled off his hoodie and threw it onto the bar stool before sitting on it, watching Touya kick the same beer can as a few days ago. Tomura made a mental note to pick it up later. Two boots appear in his line of vision, and he looks up to see how close Touya is stood.
“It was nothing to do with you, before your head gets big about it.” Touya’s voice was dry and crackled like the flames of a fire, and Tomura hated it. Of course he did. He rolled his eyes at Touya’s suggestion.
“Never said it was.” He grunted, but soon his jaw was in the pincer-like hold of Touya. No, not Touya. Dabi. His head we turned so he couldn’t look away from the white-haired young man, and he gulped. The silence between them extended, and just as Tomura thought the grip on his face would drop, the fingers flexed and dug in more.
And then lips were on his. It was disturbing, the noise that came out of Tomura, something between a choke and a gasp, but Touya’s hold on him was too rough, too tight that he couldn’t pull away until he let go, stumbling back as if he’d caught himself by surprise. Tomura was panting for breath, ungloved fingertips brushing his bottom lip, as he looked at Touya, noticing a slight tremble under his signature coat, the blue of his eyes wavering. But before either could speak, the door swung open and in walked Toga, Twice and Spinner, completely none the wiser about what they had narrowly missed. Tomura pushed past Touya to run upstairs, grabbing his hoodie to hide himself within, and Touya just...watched.
“What did you do, flamehead?” Himiko asked, and Touya flashed her a warning look.
“Why are you blaming me for his freakouts? I didn’t do anything!” He yells, the tension in the room as tights as a taut rubbed band as the three look between them. It was Spinner’s eyes that landed on Touya first, but he wasn’t going to let him intervene and steal his stupid moment. Trying to seem like it wasn’t urgent, Touya went up to find Tomura, but as he walked past his own room, he heard a creaking floorboard and slowly pushed his bedroom door open.
It was a bland room; it didn’t need anything more than a bed because all Touya used it for was tossing and turning at night before getting an amount of sleep some would call a nap. But stood in the middle of it was Tomura, hoodie fisted in his hand before dropping to the floor when the door opened and he was caught. There is a second where neither man really knows what to do, before they both suddenly leap into action, launching at each other so Tomura’s lips were crushed by Touya’s once again in a savage kiss.
It's a game of push and pull, neither of them deciding whether they are pissed off with or turned on by the other as Touya shoved Tomura towards his bed, ignoring the protests.
“You fucking pig,” Tomura grunts as he hits the mattress, but his half-gloved hand forms a fist in the front of Touya’s shirt, pulling him down on top. It’s brutal and violet, the way Touya practically tears Tomura’s shirt off him, shoved his shoulders against the mattress if Tomura tried to sit up, but Tomura returned it equally, gripping Touya’s hair to pull his head back so the younger man had access to his throat, teeth sinking in to charred skin. The smell of singed cotton filling the room as he a flicker of uncontrolled blue licked at the sheets as Dabi came out to play for a second before Touya reigned in his self-control. Touya’s fingers were working on Tomura’s belt, the only thing holding up his too-big pants, when his vision was blocked by his own shirt being pulled off.
“Fuckin’ – just get it off,” Touya hissed as he bluntly fumbled with the buckle until it came undone and he yanked down the baggy jeans, leaving them in a pile on the floor. Tomura tried to reach for Touya’s own belt, but his hand was swatted away, Touya mumbling about doing it quicker. Desperate to do something, Tomura sat up and began a trail of open-mouthed kisses along Touya’s collarbone, sucking marks there that the recipient hated to admit were horrendously distracting, trying to steady his breathing.
Finally free of his trousers, Touya fisted Tomura’s hair and pulled his mouth off him.
“Can’t just fucking lie there and look pathetically horny for five seconds?” He grunted before kissing him harshly, pushing off his loose boxers so his cock sprang free. Before Tomura could even react, he was being forcibly shoved onto his stomach, hips pulled up. Touya pulled down the man’s boxers, not even bothering to fully remove them as he left them around Tomura’s thighs. He gathered saliva in his mouth before spitting over Tomara’s hole, using his fingers to spread it, pressing against the ring of muscle. He was too impatient to ease him into it, pushing two fingers inside, pumping them in and out before curling them just enough to earn and a gasp from Tomura. Touya smiled wickedly before scissoring the fingers.
“Fuck it.” He withdrew the fingers sooner than he would have if this wasn’t so urgent and lined his cock up before sinking inside. Tomura let out a choked noise, not quite a moan, as he stretched to fit Touya’s girth. He shifted, trying to adjust, but he was given no time, Touya already starting to move, each thrust rough and unpractised.
Touya fucks like he’s pressed for time. His fingertips cut into Tomura’s bony hips, and when he’s not satisfied with the amount of noise Tomura is playing, he takes a fistful of hair and yanks his head back. It’s not as though the younger man was being quiet though, but his choked moans were being muffled by the pillow and that just would not do.
“Let them hear it,” Touya growled, “Let those little shits know.” The snap of his hips was brutal, but Touya swore he could see the hint of a smile teasing on Tomura’s lips.
And as quickly as it had started, Touya could feel Tomura clenching in a tell-tale way, and he let go of his hand to grip his hips, pulling him back on his cock. The slap of skin mingled with grunts and the creaking of Touya’s bed and Touya could feel his control hanging by a single, taut threat, ready to snap. Without warning, he came inside Tomura, groaning as his fingers dug in so hard his stubby nails broke his skin. He quickly let go of Tomura, gripping his headboard to stop himself from collapsing forward and he ground his hips until Tomura let out a moan that almost sounded like the older man’s name, coming onto Touya’s sheets.
Pulling out, he watched his release pulse out Tomura’s hole and he smirked, playfully slapping his ass before tucking himself away.
“Make a fucking mess, you can clean it up.” Touya got up and grabbed his jeans, pulling them back on as he caught his breath. “I’m gonna go beat that high score of yours. Maybe when I’ve done that, we can go for round two.” He smirked, pulling on the shirt he didn’t care was Tomura’s over his head, a little too tight around his broad shoulders, before grabbing his coat and leaving Tomura panting on his bed. As Touya headed downstairs, ignoring how the rest of the League were sat there too quietly, Tomura was lying on the older man’s bed, eyes landing on the hand-shaped scorch mark on the headboard.
