Chapter Text
Doctor (n.)
Latin origin, ‘docēre’ meaning ‘one who teaches’ or ‘to instruct’
Connotations with ‘latrós’ (Greek) meaning ‘healer’.
Greek word ‘physis’ meaning ‘nature’ inspires ‘physician’, which becomes synonymous with the spreading of healer-based knowledge and wisdom.
“Doctor, known as healer or wise man across the universe.”
There’s no records of them. Only the sound of engines on the wind. No photos show their face. No technology hears their voice. They only exist within the memories of those they leave behind.
The relentless, ever-coming storm, their exploits leaving hope to shine through the blood.
Even though they are but a rumour, they are known nonetheless. The nameless, ageless being who lives outside of time. They cannot be outmatched or outwitted. They alone hold power over the universe.
The sound of running footsteps and high pitched whirring precede them. They leave with the swish of a coat and a click of fingers. A door creaks, engines wheeze, and all that’s left is wind blowing with no source in sight.
The blue police box sits above the earth, waiting.
