The day after christmas, the christmas toons start working on cleaning up the lobby. It's a sad time, such a joyful holiday that only lasts for a month. Ginger is saying goodbye to cosmo, coal is saying bye to toodles, and toodles is giving her too many cookies… bobette and rudie are cleaning the last of the decorations up.
“You alright rudie?” Bobette asks looking at rudie, who seems to be in a sadder mood.
“I’m okay bobette. It just seems like this holiday started and it's over already..”
Bobette frowned a bit while putting the last of the decorations in the elevator,
“I get that buddy, but it's how it is.” Bobette put her arm around rudies shoulder
“I know.. I’ll just miss everyone, that's all. It's hard being alone, well.. I have you guys! But it’s just so lonely being the four of us, you know?” Rudie sighed as he “pushed” bobette off and sat on the bench across from the elevator.
Bobette smiled a bit and sat next to rudie, “Hey, at least we have each other, right? We aren’t fully alone”
“I guess you’re right.” Rudie smiled a bit
“Having each other is better than having no one, right?” Bobette said as she waved to ginger and coal who were walking over with dandy.
“Thats true. Thanks bobette.”
“You’re welcome, rudie.”
“Well christmas folks! I can’t believe the holidays are over already, it’s sad to see you go.” Dandy said, waving at bobette and rudie.
“It is, isn’t it. I wish we could stay forever.” Ginger sighed
“We all do ginger, but it wouldn’t make sense for christmas toons to be out in the middle of easter.” Bobette giggled a bit as coal sat against her leg.
“There’s always next year! It’ll come faster than you think!” Dandy smiled.
“Now chop chop! Gardenview will open any second now!” Dandy said jokingly shooing them away, getting a few laughs from them.
As the christmas toons leave, dandy gives a small smile and a wave as the elevator closes.
“I’ll miss those guys.”
The elevator ride is very awkward, the sound of decorations rattling in the boxes, as they hit their floor, they slowly start getting the boxes out of the elevator, in silence, it’s quiet but comforting.
After all boxes are out, bobette still has a lot to do.
“All the boxes are out, now time to clean the seasonal ro-”
Before bobette can finish her sentence, she's pulled back by ginger.
“Bobette, dear, you’ve done so much over the event, you need to take a break.”
“Mhm! You can clean it up later, you at least need to rest.” Rudie said with a frown
Bobette looked at the two and sighed. “Okay fine.”
Rudie and ginger smiled, ginger, who was still holding bobettes hand, walked over to where their room was, a small room behind a locked door, rudie basically jumped on the bed,
“Such a comfy bed..” Rudie sighed as ginger and bobette giggled.
“Oh rudie..” Ginger smiled
There was a small moment of silence as ginger and bobette got into bed with rudie. Cuddling up against him, (rudie in the middle), as coal jumped on the bed and sat at the end, her pouches already being removed, falling asleep right away.
“Oh coal..” Bobette sighed watching coal fall asleep
“She’s such a weird dog, but yet is so loving.” Ginger said, cuddling closer to rudie.
“Yeah.. she’s great tho” Bobette smiled.
Bobette yawned and got closer to rudie.
“Thank you guys for such a great month, again.” Bobette said before falling asleep.
“You’re welcome bobette, we love you.” Ginger said, smiling as she fell asleep.
“Goodnight ginger, goodnight bobette.” Rudie said before also falling asleep.
