Chapter Text
Izuku was really excited. It was his first day at UA, his dream school! He luckily made it in with One for All with the help of All Might, and he was going to become a hero! Now if only he could find his class…
He did find the class, but now he was almost late. He really hoped Kachan and the tall boy with glasses weren't in his class…He opened the door to find the two aforementioned people arguing with each other.
“Remove your foot from that desk! Such an action is insulting to those who came to UA before us as well as the craftsman who made the desk!”
“Like I care! What middle school are you from, extra?”
“I-I’m from Somei private academy. My name is Ida Tenya.”
“Somei?! A stuck-up elitist then? I should blow you to bits!”
“You’re awful! Do you really wish to be a hero?!”
The boy who introduced himself as Ida Tenya then noticed Izuku and began marching right up to him.
“Hello! I’m Ida Tenya from Somei-”
“I-I heard. I-I’m Midoriya Izuku. N-nice to meet you…” It was hard for Izuku to get the words out.
“Midoriya…You…You perceived the true nature of the practical exam, while I did not! I misjudged you! I hate to admit it, but you were the superior candidate!”
Izuku was startled when another voice behind him called out. He turned around to face the brown haired girl that he saved from the practical exam. “Ah! That curly hair! The plain looking boy! You got in! Just like Present Mic said! Makes sense though! That punch was awesome!”
Izuku began sputtering as she spoke.
“So we’ve got our entrance ceremony and guidance sessions today, yeah? Wonder what our teacher-”
She suddenly cut off, and Izuku suddenly had a sense of vertigo, as he suddenly noticed he was alone. Not only alone, but he was no longer in the classroom. He was floating in a void, with no sense of up or down.
Izuku flailed around, trying to gain a sense of balance. Could this be the work of a quirk? Was he just flailing around in the class right now? Or did he get moved somewhere else? If it was somewhere else, where was he?
Destruction, you’re noisy.
A voice that seemed to emanate from everywhere cut through Izuku’s thoughts, making him stop.
“W-what? W-who are you?” Izuku spoke up. Is this the person who did this?
Yes, I am the one who brought you here.
Did-
Yes, I am reading your mind. Now, I want to get through this quickly, transporting twenty one people across worlds is exhausting.
Across worlds? Wait, did he (She? The voice sounds androgynous) say twenty one people? Who were the other twenty?
The other twenty are your classmates and teacher, the entirety of UA’s 1-A. Yes, other worlds exist, yes, you and your class are going to one, no, there is no way back except for one. You and your class are going to have to complete a task for me. I need you to find and collect a ring. It’s currently held by a being of great power, and while I would get it myself, I am at this time occupied for the next millennia or so, yet I need the ring preferably last century.
Before Izuku could react or process any of the information he was given, an image of a ring appeared directly in his mind, and he could say, without a doubt, that it was the most beautiful ring he had seen in his life. The metal of the ring wove intricate designs so small and perfect it looked as if it was carved in, not weaved. It flowed perfectly up to the single gem that looked like a purple pearl that almost seemed transparent where inside what seemed to be a storm of energy flowed eternally.
After a moment of admiring the beautiful ring, his mind came back around to the last thing the voice said. They said for the next millenia, and last century…Are they not human…?
The voice sighed before speaking again.
Humans always want more answers to their questions…No, I am not human. It’s honestly insulting you’re insinuating that I’m a lowly human. I am a god. Now, as I said, transporting all of you humans is exhausting, so I’m going to wrap this up.
As I said, I need you to find that ring. I don’t know where specifically it is, but I can tell you it’s on the continent I’m sending you to. You are also pitifully weak compared to what you will be facing, so I’m going to change…what do you call them? Ah. Your quirk. Your quirk will be changed so that it will be able to grow so you don’t die pitifully within the first week.
Next-...Wait…Oh…OH…! Oh, VERY interesting…What if we see…
The voice seemed to trail off, distracted as it did something else. This time Izuku was left to contemplate what he was told. A GOD?! He was taken and being sent to another world by a GOD?! Did that mean other gods existed, or just the one he was talking to? Which religions were correct? Were none?
The self proclaimed god returned this time with a very different tone.
All right, you know what? Scratch what I was going to do with you all before. I still need you to get the ring, but the rules have changed. I honestly didn’t expect to get one of YOU mortals with the group I was sending, but that just makes things more fun!
Now listen closely, little mortal, because here are the changed rules. Your quirk, as you call it, has multiple aspects, not just that strength you used before. Now those aspects are going to be locked away. You will be able to unlock those aspects after defeating a specific enemy of great power. A “boss monster”, if you will.
Izuku was shocked. “What? Wait, what do you mean different aspects?”
Little mortal, I am a god. No knowledge is out of my reach. You will find out in time. Returning to the topic, your classmates and teacher will be locked away as well.
This caused Izuku to interrupt for the first time. “What?!”
Yes. Originally I was just going to send all of you at once in the same location and have all of you work together at the start, but having you free them one at a time sounds much more fun. They are going to be trapped in stasis in a crystal that only you will be able to break. The same will be for the aspects of your quirk.
I believe that will be all I will tell you, and I wish you luck.
“Wait!” Izuku tried calling out, but a light off in the distance of the void began shining, growing brighter, blinding him. Izuku covered his eyes, calling out again. “Wait! I need more answers!” No one responded.
Suddenly, pain wracked Izuku’s body, feeling like his body was on fire. It felt like a part of him was being removed. It was so great that he eventually blacked out, before he heard one last thing.
I will be watching you closely, Midoriya Izuku.
