Work Text:

“Uh—uh—uh and then he asked me to serve him tea,” Shen Qingqiu spoke between moaning as Liu Qingge hummed around her pussy, the vibration sending shocks through her entire body. “The audacity of this man. I would have slit his throat right there—ahh—”

The moan tore from her throat, loud and unrestrained, as Liu Qingge sucked hard at her clit, tongue working with single-minded focus. As if the mental image of Shen Qingqiu cutting a man down turned her on. It probably did, considering who she was dealing with. There was a very thin line between lust and bloodlust for the war god, Shen Qingqiu had realized over the months they’d been doing this. The same fire that made Liu Qingge unstoppable on the battlefield made her ravenous in bed. Especially when Shen Qingqiu was angry.

And Shen Qingqiu had been furious today.

They had hated each other once. Especially after Liu Qingge had accused her of attempted murder back when they were disciples as if Shen Qingqiu did anything half heartedly. If she wanted Liu Qingge dead she would be. And Shen Qingqiu had hated her from the very first moment she’d laid eyes on her. Hated the way Liu Qingge walked around Cang Qiong Mountain in men’s disciple robes like nobody had told her to stay in her place, with a freedom and power that Shen Qingqiu, trapped in layers of propriety and the burden of being a runaway could never afford. Hated her even more after she’d found herself laid out in the dust after their first spar, utterly humiliated, while Liu Qingge stood over her without even breaking a sweat.

But that was years ago.

Now Liu Qingge ate her out like she was on a sacred mission. Like making Shen Qingqiu come multiple times in a row was a matter of personal honor. And she was well on her way to achieving that goal, if the trembling in Shen Qingqiu’s thighs was any indication.

“If Zhangmen-shixiong hadn’t stopped me—” Shen Qingqiu’s fingers twisted in the sheets, back arching. “Stupid Qi-ge. Always so—so diplomatic—”

Liu Qingge paused, pulling her mouth away, and Shen Qingqiu nearly screamed in frustration.

“Yue-shixiong was there?” Liu Qingge asked, voice rough, her breath hot against Shen Qingqiu’s inner thigh.

Shen Qingqiu glared down at this infuriating woman kneeling between her legs with her hair already half-fallen from its tie and her lips wet and swollen. She reached down and fisted her hand in Liu Qingge’s hair, yanking her head up sharply.

“Don’t talk about my brother with me on your tongue,” she hissed.

Then she pulled Liu Qingge up into a filthy kiss, tasting herself on the war god’s mouth, bitter,  sweet and obscene. Liu Qingge groaned into it, her hands coming up to grip Shen Qingqiu’s waist hard enough to bruise.

When they finally broke apart, a string of saliva connected their lips for a moment before breaking.

“You brought him up,” Liu Qingge pointed out, voice maddeningly reasonable even though her pupils were blown wide and her breathing was ragged.

Shen Qingqiu rolled her eyes and pushed her back down with both hands on her shoulders.

“Yes, but I don’t expect you to talk,” she said imperiously, even as her thighs fell open again in blatant invitation.

Liu Qingge shrugged, the insufferable woman, and settled back between Shen Qingqiu’s legs like she belonged there.

“As you wish, Shen-shijie,” Liu Qingge murmured, and there was something dark and pleased in her voice that made heat coil low in Shen Qingqiu’s belly.

Then her mouth was back where it belonged, and Shen Qingqiu stopped thinking about anything except the wet heat of Liu Qingge’s tongue and the way those calloused fingers, the same ones that wielded Cheng Luan with, were currently spreading her open like she was something to be savoured.

“That’s—oh—that’s better,” Shen Qingqiu managed, voice breathy and wrecked in a way she would deny later. “Just like that. Don’t you dare stop this time.”

Liu Qingge hummed in acknowledgment, and the vibration made Shen Qingqiu’s back bow off the bed. Her fan had been discarded somewhere, tossed carelessly aside the moment Liu Qingge had crowded her against the wall of her bamboo house and kissed her with bruising intensity. Her hair had come loose from its careful arrangement, spilling across the pillows in dark waves. Her robes were rucked up around her waist, exposing her completely to Liu Qingge’s hungry gaze and hungrier mouth.

She looked nothing like the composed, untouchable Shen Qingqiu that presided over Qing Jing Peak.

And Liu Qingge looked nothing like the stoic, battle-hardened war god of Bai Zhan Peak.

Here, in the private darkness of Shen Qingqiu’s chambers, they were something else entirely.

“Anyway—ah—where was I?” Shen Qingqiu gasped, trying to maintain some semblance of her earlier story even as pleasure coiled tighter and tighter in her core. “Right. The merchant. He had the audacity to pat the seat next to him. Like I was some—some—”

Liu Qingge did something truly obscene with her tongue, and Shen Qingqiu lost her train of thought entirely.

“Fuck,” she breathed. “Liu Qingge, I swear to the heavens—”

“Keep talking,” Liu Qingge said against her, words muffled but clear enough. “You were saying?”

It was a challenge. Everything with Liu Qingge was a challenge. Even this (especially this) was just another form of combat between them. Who could make the other lose control first. Who could break the other’s composure.

So far tonight, Shen Qingqiu was losing spectacularly.

“He said I looked—gods—he said I looked like I needed someone to teach me proper respect,” Shen Qingqiu continued, voice shaking. “Can you imagine? Me? I should have—ah—should have poisoned his tea right there—”

Liu Qingge growled and Shen Qingqiu felt it reverberate through her entire body. The war god’s fingers dug harder into her thighs, holding her in place, and her tongue worked with renewed fervor.

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu gasped. “Like that. Just like—oh—”

Her words dissolved into incoherent sounds as Liu Qingge sealed her lips around Shen Qingqiu’s clit and sucked, hard and relentless, while her fingers finally slid inside.

Two fingers, stretching and filling in a way that made Shen Qingqiu see stars.

“Liu Qingge,” she moaned, and it came out like a plea. Like a prayer. “I’m going to—I’m—”

“Come,” Liu Qingge commanded, voice rough and authoritative even muffled against Shen Qingqiu’s flesh. “Now.”

And Shen Qingqiu did.

She shattered, back arching off the bed, thighs clamping around Liu Qingge’s head as waves of pleasure crashed through her. She might have screamed, probably did, if the smug satisfaction radiating from Liu Qingge was any indication.

Liu Qingge worked her through it, gentling her movements but not stopping, drawing out every last tremor until Shen Qingqiu was a boneless, trembling mess against the pillows.

Only then did she pull back, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand in a gesture that should have been crude but somehow made Shen Qingqiu’s spent body spark with renewed interest.

“That’s one,” Liu Qingge said, and there was dark promise in her eyes.

Shen Qingqiu let out a breathless laugh. “Confident, aren’t we?”

“Always,” Liu Qingge replied simply.

Then she was moving up Shen Qingqiu’s body, settling her weight on top of her, and Shen Qingqiu could feel the hard muscle beneath Liu Qingge’s robes, could feel the heat radiating from her.

“Your turn,” Shen Qingqiu murmured, hands already working at Liu Qingge’s belt.

“Later,” Liu Qingge said, catching her wrists. “I’m not done with you yet.”

And as Liu Qingge kissed her again, deep and possessive and claiming, Shen Qingqiu thought that maybe, just maybe, hating Liu Qingge had been the best decision she’d ever made. Because this, whatever this was between them, was worth every moment of animosity that had led to it.

“And another thing,” Shen Qingqiu continued, even as Liu Qingge’s mouth moved to her neck, kissing and biting at the sensitive skin there. “He had the nerve to suggest that Qi-ge should keep a tighter leash on his martial brothers. On me. As if I’m some—some unruly child who needs—ah—”

She broke off as Liu Qingge’s teeth scraped against her pulse point, hard enough to sting.

“Keep going,” Liu Qingge murmured against her throat, hands working at the fastenings of Shen Qingqiu’s outer robes. “What did Yue-shixiong say to that?”

“Nothing useful,” Shen Qingqiu said bitterly, lifting her arms to let Liu Qingge peel away another layer of silk. “Just smiled that diplomatic smile of his and changed the subject. Like he always does. Like he can’t stand the thought of anyone being uncomfortable, even merchants who deserve to have their tongues cut out—”

Liu Qingge pulled back just enough to yank the robes down Shen Qingqiu’s arms, tossing them aside without ceremony. Her eyes were dark and hungry as they raked over the thinner layer beneath.

“He should have let you handle it,” Liu Qingge said, fingers already working at the next set of ties.

“Obviously,” Shen Qingqiu huffed. “But no, he had to be the peacemaker. Had to—to smooth things over and make excuses and—Liu Qingge, are you even listening to me?”

“Every word,” Liu Qingge said, even as her hands slid beneath the loosened fabric to palm Shen Qingqiu’s breasts through the thin inner layer. “The merchant disrespected you. Yue-shixiong stopped you from retaliating. You’re furious. Continue.”

Shen Qingqiu’s breath hitched as Liu Qingge’s thumbs brushed over her nipples, already hard and sensitive.

“I’m trying,” she said, voice unsteady. “But you’re making it difficult to—ah—concentrate.”

“I’m aware,” Liu Qingge said, and there was dark satisfaction in her voice.

She lowered her head, pressing hot, open-mouthed kisses down the column of Shen Qingqiu’s throat, over her collarbones, down to where the fabric still clung to her chest. Her hands never stopped moving, kneading and squeezing with a possessiveness that made heat pool between Shen Qingqiu’s legs all over again.

“The worst part,” Shen Qingqiu managed, tilting her head back to give Liu Qingge better access, “is that Qi-ge pulled me aside afterward and asked me to be kinder. More accommodating. As if I’m the problem—”

“I would’ve,” Liu Qingge interrupted, voice gone rough.

Shen Qingqiu blinked, trying to focus through the haze of arousal. “What?”

Liu Qingge pulled back to look at her, and there was something fierce and almost violent in her expression. Something that made Shen Qingqiu’s pulse kick up for an entirely different reason.

“I would’ve challenged him,” Liu Qingge said flatly. “If he spoke to you like that in front of me. Would’ve put my sword through his throat before he finished the sentence.”

The declaration hit Shen Qingqiu like a physical blow. She stared at Liu Qingge, at the absolute certainty in her eyes, the casual way she said it, like killing a man for insulting Shen Qingqiu was the most natural thing in the world.

Something hot and dangerous unfurled in Shen Qingqiu’s chest. Something she refused to name because naming it would make it real, would make it mean something, and this thing between them wasn’t supposed to mean anything. It was just physical. Just a way to burn off tension and frustration.

Except Liu Qingge was looking at her like she was worth killing for, and Shen Qingqiu couldn’t breathe.

“Yes,” she said, voice rough. “That’s exactly why you weren’t invited to the meeting.”

Then she fisted her hand in Liu Qingge’s hair and yanked her into a bruising kiss. Desperate and claiming and full of all the things she couldn’t say. Liu Qingge groaned into her mouth and kissed back just as fiercely, all teeth, tongue and raw hunger.

When they broke apart, both breathing hard, Shen Qingqiu’s hands went to the remaining layers of her own robes.

“Off,” she said, starting to push the fabric down her shoulders. “Take them off.”

Liu Qingge didn’t need to be told twice. Her hands joined Shen Qingqiu’s, and together they stripped away the last barriers of silk until Shen Qingqiu was finally, completely bare.

For a moment, Liu Qingge just looked at her. Her gaze was hot and possessive as it traveled over every inch of exposed skin, and Shen Qingqiu felt it like a physical touch.

“Tell me more,” Liu Qingge said, voice gone low and rough. “About the merchant. What else did he say?”

Shen Qingqiu glared at her. “You want me to talk about him while you’re—”

“Yes,” Liu Qingge cut her off. Her hands slid up Shen Qingqiu’s sides, thumbs brushing the undersides of her breasts. “I like when you’re angry. Like the way your voice gets when you’re fantasizing about killing someone.”

She leaned down, pressing a kiss just below Shen Qingqiu’s breast, then another, then another, mapping a trail across her skin.

“Makes me want to fuck you harder,” she finished against Shen Qingqiu’s flesh.

Shen Qingqiu’s breath left her in a rush. “You’re insane.”

“Maybe,” Liu Qingge agreed. Then her mouth closed over Shen Qingqiu’s nipple, and all coherent thought fled.

The wet heat of her tongue, the sharp edge of her teeth, it was too much and not enough all at once. Shen Qingqiu’s back arched, pressing herself more fully into Liu Qingge’s mouth, and one hand came up to tangle in the war god’s hair.

“He—ah—he suggested that someone should—should teach me my place,” Shen Qingqiu gasped out, trying to maintain the thread of conversation even as pleasure sparked through her. “Implied that—fuck—said that beautiful things are meant to be looked at, not—not listened to—”

Liu Qingge bit down, hard enough to make Shen Qingqiu cry out, then soothed the sting with her tongue.

“Fucking bastard,” she growled against Shen Qingqiu’s skin. “Should’ve let you poison him.”

“Right?” Shen Qingqiu’s voice came out high and breathless as Liu Qingge switched to her other breast, giving it the same thorough attention. “That’s what I—oh gods—that’s what I wanted, but no one ever—”

Liu Qingge’s hand slid down between Shen Qingqiu’s legs, fingers finding her wet and ready all over again.

“Keep talking,” she commanded. “Want to hear all of it while I make you come again.”

And Shen Qingqiu, despite everything, despite her pride, despite her dignity, despite every wall she’d built around herself, obeyed.

“He said—” Shen Qingqiu’s voice hitched as Liu Qingge’s fingers slid through her wetness, not entering yet, just teasing. Circling and spreading and making her dizzyingly aware of how soaked she already was. “He said that women like me should know better than to—to speak out of turn in—ah—in mixed company—”

“Mixed company,” Liu Qingge repeated, voice dripping with contempt. She pressed one finger inside, just to the first knuckle, and Shen Qingqiu’s hips jerked up involuntarily. “As if you’re not worth ten of him.”

“Exactly,” Shen Qingqiu gasped. “That’s exactly what I—oh—”

Liu Qingge pushed deeper, one finger sliding in fully now, and Shen Qingqiu felt herself clench around the intrusion. It wasn’t enough. Nowhere near enough. But Liu Qingge knew that, the bastard. Knew exactly what she was doing as she withdrew slowly, torturously, before pushing back in with the same maddening patience.

“What else?” Liu Qingge asked. Her mouth was still working at Shen Qingqiu’s breast, tongue flicking over the sensitive peak between words. “What else did this dead man say?”

“Dead man?” Shen Qingqiu managed, even as her hands fisted in the sheets.

“He will be if I ever meet him.” Liu Qingge added a second finger, and this time the stretch was better, fuller, but still not enough. She pumped slowly, deliberately, her palm barely grazing Shen Qingqiu’s clit with each thrust. “Now tell me.”

Shen Qingqiu tried to gather her thoughts, tried to remember what she’d been saying through the haze of pleasure building in her core.

“He—he implied that Qi-ge was too soft,” she said, breath coming faster now as Liu Qingge’s fingers curled inside her, searching. “Said that if he were sect leader, he’d know how to—to handle—fuck, right there—”

Liu Qingge had found that spot inside her, that place that made sparks dance behind Shen Qingqiu’s eyelids. She pressed against it deliberately, fingers crooking with surgical precision, and Shen Qingqiu’s whole body jerked.

“There?” Liu Qingge asked, even though she obviously knew the answer.

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu hissed. “Don’t you dare stop—”

But Liu Qingge did stop. Or rather, she eased off, her fingers gentling to barely-there strokes that kept Shen Qingqiu right on the edge without giving her what she needed.

“Finish your story first,” Liu Qingge said, and there was dark amusement in her voice.

“You’re cruel,” Shen Qingqiu accused, even as her hips rolled, trying to force Liu Qingge’s fingers deeper.

“I know.” Liu Qingge kissed down the center of Shen Qingqiu’s chest, over her stomach, her breath hot against sweat-dampened skin. “But you like it. Now talk.”

Shen Qingqiu wanted to argue, wanted to demand, wanted to reach down and take control herself. But there was something about Liu Qingge’s voice, commanding and absolute, that made her comply.

“He said Qi-ge should marry me off,” she gritted out. “To someone who could—could tame me. Make me useful. Put my beauty to—to proper use instead of letting me waste it on—on books and—Liu Qingge—”

Liu Qingge had added a third finger, and the stretch was intense now, almost too much, riding the perfect line between pleasure and pain. She pushed in deep, then pulled almost all the way out, then thrust back in harder.

“Marry you off,” Liu Qingge repeated, and her voice had gone dangerous. Low and deadly in a way that Shen Qingqiu usually only heard on the battlefield. “Like you’re a possession. Like you’re something to be owned.”

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu gasped. Her thighs were trembling now, falling open wider, giving Liu Qingge more room to work. “Like I’m—ah—like I’m nothing more than a—a pretty ornament to—to—oh gods—”

Liu Qingge’s fingers were moving faster now, driving in deep and curling against that perfect spot with every thrust. Her thumb finally pressed against Shen Qingqiu’s clit, circling with just enough pressure to make her see stars.

“You’re not an ornament,” Liu Qingge said fiercely. “You’re the most brilliant tactician on this mountain. You’re vicious and cunning and more dangerous than half the cultivators in this generation combined.”

Her fingers thrust harder, and Shen Qingqiu could hear the obscene wet sounds of it, could feel how absolutely drenched she was, could feel Liu Qingge’s fingers sliding in and out with devastating ease.

“You’re not—” Liu Qingge’s voice was rough with arousal now, affected despite her control. “You’re not meant to be tamed. You’re meant to be—”

“What?” Shen Qingqiu demanded, breathless. “Meant to be what?”

“Worshipped,” Liu Qingge said simply. Then she sealed her mouth over Shen Qingqiu’s clit and sucked hard while her fingers drove in deep, pressing relentlessly against that spot inside.

Shen Qingqiu shattered.

The orgasm hit her like a lightning strike, sudden and overwhelming and completely obliterating. Her back bowed off the bed, her thighs clamped around Liu Qingge’s hand, and she couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think, couldn’t do anything except feel.

But Liu Qingge didn’t stop.

Her fingers kept moving, kept pressing, kept stroking that devastating spot inside while her mouth worked Shen Qingqiu’s clit, and the pleasure didn’t crest and fade like it usually did. Instead it built higher, different, more intense, almost painful in its intensity.

“Liu Qingge—wait—I can’t—it’s too much—”

But Liu Qingge just pressed harder, fingers curling insistently, and suddenly Shen Qingqiu felt something else building. Something she’d never felt before. A pressure low in her belly that was almost like needing to pee but infinitely more intense.

“Liu Qingge, stop, I’m going to—I’m going to—”

“Don’t hold back,” Liu Qingge commanded, pulling her mouth away just long enough to speak. “Let go. I want all of you.”

And Shen Qingqiu couldn’t hold back even if she wanted to.

The pressure built to an impossible peak and then broke, and she felt herself gush, fluid spilling out around Liu Qingge’s fingers in a way that would have been humiliating if it didn’t feel so devastatingly good.

She was making sounds she’d never made before, high, desperate, almost sobbing, as her body convulsed with the force of it. Wave after wave of intense pleasure crashed through her, so overwhelming she thought she might actually pass out.

Liu Qingge worked her through all of it, fingers gentling but not stopping, drawing out every last tremor until Shen Qingqiu finally went limp, boneless and shaking against the thoroughly soaked sheets.

“Heavens—” Shen Qingqiu couldn’t even finish the sentence. Her voice was wrecked, her body was trembling, and she felt like she’d been torn apart and reassembled.

Liu Qingge slowly withdrew her fingers, and Shen Qingqiu whimpered at the loss. She felt empty, oversensitive, utterly destroyed in the best possible way.

When she finally managed to open her eyes, Liu Qingge was looking at her with an expression of such raw satisfaction and possessive hunger that it sent another aftershock of pleasure through Shen Qingqiu’s overwrought system.

“That’s two,” Liu Qingge said, bringing her wet fingers to her mouth and sucking them clean without breaking eye contact.

Shen Qingqiu watched, transfixed and appalled and impossibly aroused all at once.

“I hate you,” she said weakly.

“No you don’t,” Liu Qingge replied with maddening confidence.

And the worst part was, she was right. Shen Qingqiu didn’t hate her at all. Not anymore. Maybe not ever, if she was being honest with herself. Which she absolutely refused to be.

“Come here,” she demanded instead, reaching for Liu Qingge with trembling hands.

Liu Qingge went, settling her weight on top of Shen Qingqiu, and they kissed, messy , desperate and tasting of Shen Qingqiu’s own pleasure.

“Your turn,” Shen Qingqiu murmured against her lips.

“Later,” Liu Qingge said again. “I told you. I’m not done with you.”

“Liu Qingge, I can’t—there’s no way I can—”

“You can,” Liu Qingge said with absolute certainty. “And you will.”

And as her hand slid between Shen Qingqiu’s legs again, Shen Qingqiu realized with a mix of dread and anticipation that she was probably right about that too.

“Let’s take a break,” Shen Qingqiu gasped, pushing weakly at Liu Qingge’s shoulder.

“Alright,” Liu Qingge agreed easily.

But her hand didn’t move.

It stayed exactly where it was, cupped between Shen Qingqiu’s legs, fingers resting against her oversensitive flesh. Not doing anything specific, just… there. Touching idly. Occasionally stroking through the wetness with lazy, absent interest, like she was petting a cat.

Shen Qingqiu shot her a look. “That’s not taking a break.”

“I’m not doing anything,” Liu Qingge said, the picture of innocence. Which was completely undermined by the way her fingers dragged up through Shen Qingqiu’s folds, circling her swollen clit with the barest whisper of pressure before sliding back down.

“That is—that’s definitely something,” Shen Qingqiu said, voice catching.

“This?” Liu Qingge asked, doing it again. “This is nothing. Just… keeping you warm.”

But Shen Qingqiu didn’t push her hand away. Just shifted slightly, adjusting her position to give Liu Qingge better access, and tried to catch her breath while those maddening fingers continued their gentle torment.

She turned her head to look at Liu Qingge properly.

The war god was propped up on one elbow beside her, her other hand still playing between Shen Qingqiu’s legs with that infuriating casualness. Her hair had come completely loose now, falling around her shoulders in dark waves. Her lips were wet and swollen from kissing, sucking and biting, and there was a shine on her chin and cheeks that made Shen Qingqiu’s stomach clench with renewed arousal.

She looked thoroughly debauched. Thoroughly pleased with herself.

Shen Qingqiu reached up, fisted her hand in Liu Qingge’s hair, and pulled her down into a kiss.

It was slower, deeper, more exploratory. She licked into Liu Qingge’s mouth, tasting herself there, bittersweet and obscene. Liu Qingge groaned and kissed back just as thoroughly, her tongue sliding against Shen Qingqiu’s, and her fingers between Shen Qingqiu’s legs pressed just a little bit harder in response.

When they finally broke apart, both breathing heavily again, Shen Qingqiu said, “I have something.”

Liu Qingge’s eyebrows rose. “Oh?”

“Mm.” Shen Qingqiu started to sit up, to move toward the edge of the bed where she’d left her things, but her legs were still trembling and weak and she only made it halfway before collapsing back against the pillows with a frustrated sound.

Liu Qingge looked insufferably smug.

“Shut up,” Shen Qingqiu snapped.

“I didn’t say anything,” Liu Qingge said, but she was smirking.

“You didn’t have to. I can see it on your face.” Shen Qingqiu glared at her. “My qiankun pouch. Get it for me.”

Liu Qingge’s smirk widened, but she obediently sat up finally removing her hand from between Shen Qingqiu’s legs, and retrieved the small embroidered pouch from where it had been discarded with Shen Qingqiu’s robes.

She handed it over and settled back down beside her, curiosity evident in her expression.

Shen Qingqiu took the pouch, and for just a moment, she hesitated. Her fingers tightened on the silk, and she could feel heat creeping up her neck, across her cheeks.

This was ridiculous. She’d just let Liu Qingge make her come so hard she’d squirted all over the sheets. There was no reason to be embarrassed now.

But still.

She reached into the pouch and pulled out a bundle of red silk, tied with a delicate ribbon.

Liu Qingge leaned in immediately, pressing a kiss to Shen Qingqiu’s neck, just below her ear. “What’s that?” she murmured against her skin.

Shen Qingqiu’s breath hitched slightly at the contact. “You know how I visit the brothel sometimes?”

Liu Qingge hummed in acknowledgment, her lips trailing down to Shen Qingqiu’s shoulder. “To see Xiao Hua and the other girls.”

“Yes. Well.” Shen Qingqiu’s fingers worked at the ribbon, slowly untying it. “The girls there—they gifted me this. Last time I visited.”

Liu Qingge paused, went still, her mouth hovering just above Shen Qingqiu’s collarbone.

“What is it?” she asked, and there was something different in her voice now. Curiosity mixed with something darker.

Shen Qingqiu’s flush deepened, but she unfolded the silk anyway, revealing what lay inside.

It was a phallus. Beautifully carved from what looked like jade, smooth,  cool and surprisingly heavy. About the length of Shen Qingqiu’s hand from wrist to fingertip, and thick enough that her fingers couldn’t quite close around it. The base was flared and flat, designed to be held or strapped, and the whole thing had been polished to a mirror shine.

For a long moment, neither of them spoke.

Shen Qingqiu kept her eyes fixed on the object in her hands, refusing to look at Liu Qingge’s reaction.

Then Liu Qingge let out a low, appreciative sound that went straight to Shen Qingqiu’s core.

“The brothel girls gave you this,” she said slowly.

“Yes.”

“Why?”

Shen Qingqiu finally looked up, meeting Liu Qingge’s eyes. “Because I told them about you.“

Liu Qingge’s eyes darkened instantly. “You told them about me,” she repeated, voice gone low and rough.

“Not—not everything,” Shen Qingqiu said quickly. “Just that I was… involved with someone. Someone who might appreciate…” She gestured helplessly at the jade phallus.

“How does it work?” Liu Qingge asked, taking it from Shen Qingqiu’s hands to examine it more closely.

Her fingers traced over the smooth surface, the flared base, turning it over with careful attention. And then she paused, thumb brushing over something carved into the jade near the base. Talismanic script, delicate and precise.

“It has talismans on it,” Shen Qingqiu explained, watching Liu Qingge’s face. “Activation seals. When you channel spiritual energy into them, they… attach to your body.”

Liu Qingge looked up sharply. “Attach?”

“Yes. The courtesans explained it to me. The talismans create a—a sort of binding. It becomes part of you. Temporarily.” Shen Qingqiu’s voice had gone slightly breathless just explaining it. “You can feel through it. What it touches. The pressure. The heat. Everything.”

Liu Qingge’s grip tightened on the jade, her knuckles going white.

“Everything,” she repeated.

“That’s what they said.” Shen Qingqiu swallowed. “Xiao Hua was very… detailed in her explanation. She said it’s popular among the girls who prefer women. That it makes it feel more...”

Liu Qingge was staring at the phallus now with an intensity that Shen Qingqiu usually only saw when she was facing down a particularly challenging opponent. Like she was strategizing. Planning.

“And you want me to—” Liu Qingge looked up at her. “You want me to use this on you?”

“I—” Shen Qingqiu felt heat flood her face. “Yes. If you want to. I thought—I thought you might like it. Since you already dress in men’s robes and bind your chest and—”

She cut herself off, suddenly worried she’d overstepped. That she’d made an assumption about Liu Qingge that wasn’t welcome.

But Liu Qingge was looking at her with something fierce and hungry and almost reverent in her expression.

“Show me,” she said. “Show me how to activate the talismans.”

Shen Qingqiu’s breath caught.

She took the jade back, holding it carefully, and pointed to the carved script near the base. “Here. You channel spiritual energy into these marks, and the binding activates. It should… conform to you. Attach where you want it.”

“Where I want it,” Liu Qingge murmured.

“Yes. The courtesans said it responds to intent. So if you focus on where you want it positioned…” Shen Qingqiu trailed off, the implications hanging heavy between them.

Liu Qingge was already moving, sitting back on her heels and taking the phallus from Shen Qingqiu’s hands again.

“I need to—” She gestured at her own robes, still fully dressed while Shen Qingqiu lay naked and spent beside her.

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu said, mouth suddenly dry. “You’ll need to remove them. Or at least—at least your trousers.”

Liu Qingge’s hands went to her belt without hesitation. She stripped with the same efficiency she brought to everything, no wasted motion. Her outer robe came off first, then her inner layers, until she was bare from the waist up.

Shen Qingqiu had seen her like this before, had touched and kissed and marked that muscled torso, but it still made her breath catch. Liu Qingge was all lean strength, broad shoulders tapering to a narrow waist, her chest bound flat with strips of cloth.

Then she was standing, unfastening her trousers and pushing them down along with her undergarments, and Shen Qingqiu couldn’t look away.

Liu Qingge stood beside the bed completely naked now, the jade phallus held in one hand, and she looked—

Powerful. Dangerous. Beautiful in a way that had nothing to do with delicacy or softness and everything to do with raw capability.

“How do I—” Liu Qingge looked down at the jade, then back at Shen Qingqiu. “Just channel energy into it?”

“Yes. And focus on where you want it. On…” Shen Qingqiu gestured vaguely at Liu Qingge’s body. “On how you want it positioned.”

Liu Qingge nodded slowly. She closed her eyes, and Shen Qingqiu watched as spiritual energy began to gather, that familiar golden glow that always surrounded Liu Qingge when she was meditating or fighting.

The energy flowed into the jade, and the talismanic script began to glow with the same golden light.

And then—

Liu Qingge gasped.

The jade phallus had attached itself to her body, positioned exactly where it would be if it were natural. Growing from her in a way that should have looked absurd but instead looked… right. Like it belonged there.

“Oh,” Liu Qingge breathed. Her free hand came down to touch it, to wrap around it experimentally and her whole body shuddered. “Oh. I can—I can feel that.”

Shen Qingqiu’s core clenched at the sight. At the way Liu Qingge looked standing there with the jade cock jutting proudly from her hips. At the expression of wonder and arousal on her face as she stroked it slowly, testing the sensation.

“How does it feel?” Shen Qingqiu asked, voice rough.

Liu Qingge looked at her, and her eyes were blown black with desire.

“Like it’s mine,” she said. “Like it’s—fuck, Shen Qingqiu, I can feel everything. The air. The temperature. My hand.” She stroked again, firmer this time, and her breathing went ragged. “This is—”

“I know,” Shen Qingqiu said.

Liu Qingge climbed back onto the bed, moving with predatory grace, and Shen Qingqiu’s heart rate kicked up as she approached.

“I want to fuck you with this,” Liu Qingge said bluntly. “I want to feel what it’s like to be inside you. To have you take me. All of me.”

Shen Qingqiu spread her legs in answer, trembling with anticipation despite her earlier exhaustion.

Liu Qingge moved to settle between Shen Qingqiu’s legs, but Shen Qingqiu stopped her with a hand on her chest.

“Wait,” she said.

Liu Qingge paused, confusion flickering across her face. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing’s wrong.” Shen Qingqiu pushed herself up to sitting, ignoring the way her body protested the movement. “I just—I want to touch it first. Properly.”

Understanding dawned in Liu Qingge’s eyes, followed immediately by hunger.

“You want to—”

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu cut her off. “Sit back. Against the headboard.”

Liu Qingge obeyed without question, rearranging herself until she was leaning against the carved wooden headboard with her legs spread. The jade phallus jutted up from her hips, catching the lamplight, and Shen Qingqiu felt her mouth water at the sight.

She moved slowly, deliberately, positioning herself between Liu Qingge’s thighs. Up close, she could see the way the jade seemed to meld seamlessly with Liu Qingge’s skin where the talismans had bound it. Could see the faint golden glow still pulsing through the carved script.

“Can you really feel everything?” she asked, reaching out to trail one finger up the length of it.

Liu Qingge’s breath hitched audibly. “Yes. Fuck. Yes, I can feel that.”

“What does it feel like?” Shen Qingqiu did it again, using two fingers this time, tracing from base to tip with deliberate slowness.

“Like—” Liu Qingge’s hands fisted in the sheets. “Like your fingers on my skin. Soft. Warm. But more sensitive. Everything is more intense.”

“Interesting,” Shen Qingqiu murmured.

She wrapped her whole hand around it now, the way she’d seen Liu Qingge do moments before. The jade was cool and smooth under her palm, but she could feel it warming already from her touch. Could feel the weight of it, the heft, as she gave it an experimental stroke from root to tip.

Liu Qingge made a sound, something between a gasp and a groan and her hips jerked up involuntarily.

“Sensitive,” Shen Qingqiu observed, fighting to keep her voice steady even as arousal pooled hot and liquid in her belly. “Very sensitive.”

“Shen Qingqiu,” Liu Qingge warned, but there was no real heat in it. Just desperate need.

“Mm.” Shen Qingqiu stroked again, firmer this time, and watched the way Liu Qingge’s abdominal muscles clenched with the sensation. “The courtesans weren’t exaggerating then. You really can feel everything I do to it.”

“Yes,” Liu Qingge gritted out. “Now stop teasing and—”

“And what?” Shen Qingqiu looked up at her through her lashes, hand still moving in slow, deliberate strokes. “What do you want me to do, Liu Qingge?”

Liu Qingge stared at her, chest heaving, and Shen Qingqiu could see the moment she understood. The moment she realized what Shen Qingqiu was offering.

“I want—” Liu Qingge’s voice came out rough. Strained. “I want your mouth on it.”

Heat flooded through Shen Qingqiu at the words. At the raw need in Liu Qingge’s voice. At the way she was looking at Shen Qingqiu like she was the only thing in the world that mattered.

“Like this?” Shen Qingqiu asked, leaning down to press a soft, chaste kiss to the tip.

Liu Qingge’s whole body jerked. “Fuck—yes—like that—”

Shen Qingqiu smiled against the jade and kissed it again. Then again. Soft, teasing kisses up and down the length of it, lips barely brushing the smooth surface.

“Shen Qingqiu,” Liu Qingge said, and it came out like a plea. “Please.”

“Please what?” Another kiss, this time with the barest hint of tongue.

“Please—stop teasing—I need—”

“Tell me.” Shen Qingqiu looked up at her again, hand still stroking slowly. “Tell me exactly what you need.”

“I need—” Liu Qingge swallowed hard. “I need you to suck it. Need to feel your mouth on me. Need to know what it’s like to—to have you like this.”

Shen Qingqiu felt a thrill run through her at the desperate honesty in Liu Qingge’s voice. At the way the war god, always so controlled, so composed in battle was falling apart just from this.

“Since you asked so nicely,” she said.

Then she opened her mouth and took the head of the jade phallus inside.

Liu Qingge cried out loud and unrestrained, her hips bucking up before she caught herself and forced them back down.

“Sorry—fuck—sorry, I didn’t mean to—”

“It’s fine,” Shen Qingqiu said, pulling off to speak. “I can take it. Just—try to stay still for now.”

Liu Qingge nodded jerkily, hands moving to grip the headboard behind her instead of the sheets. Knuckles white with the effort of holding back.

Shen Qingqiu took her time, exploring with her tongue first. Licking around the head, tracing the ridge where it flared slightly wider. The jade was smooth and tasteless, warming quickly from the heat of her mouth, and she could hear every gasp and groan Liu Qingge made in response.

“How does this feel?” she asked, closing her lips around the tip and sucking gently.

“Good—so good—don’t stop—”

Shen Qingqiu took more of it into her mouth, sliding down slowly, letting the jade fill her. It was thicker than she’d anticipated, enough that she had to relax her jaw to accommodate it. She pulled back, then took it deeper. Working herself down inch by inch, getting used to the feeling of it stretching her lips, the weight of it on her tongue.

“Fuck,” Liu Qingge breathed. “Shen Qingqiu, that’s—you look—”

Shen Qingqiu looked up at her while taking the jade phallus deeper, and the expression on Liu Qingge’s face made her core clench with need. Pure, undiluted want. Like she was witnessing something sacred.

She pulled back until just the tip remained between her lips, then sank back down. Establishing a rhythm now. Slow and deliberate, taking it as deep as she could before pulling back.

“Is this good?” she asked, pulling off entirely. “Am I doing it right?”

“You’re—” Liu Qingge’s voice was wrecked. “You’re perfect. It’s perfect. I can feel everything. The wet heat. The suction. Your tongue. Gods, your tongue—”

Shen Qingqiu smiled and licked a long stripe up the underside, from base to tip.

Liu Qingge moaned.

“Guide me,” Shen Qingqiu said, wrapping one hand around the base while her mouth worked the top half. “Tell me what feels best. What you want.”

“Deeper,” Liu Qingge managed. “Can you—can you take it deeper?”

Shen Qingqiu had been wondering the same thing. She’d gotten about halfway down, but there was still more. Still several inches she hadn’t taken yet.

She breathed through her nose, relaxed her throat, and sank down.

The jade hit the back of her throat and she gagged slightly, pulling back.

“Careful,” Liu Qingge said immediately, one hand coming down to cup Shen Qingqiu’s cheek. “Don’t hurt yourself. You don’t have to—”

But Shen Qingqiu was already trying again. She’d asked the girls to teach her how to take this jade phallus in her mouth, how to breathe, how to relax, how to take it down her throat without panicking.

She just needed to remember.

She took a deep breath through her nose and sank down again. Past the point where she’d gagged before. Feeling the jade slide deeper, her throat stretching around it, until her lips met her fist at the base.

“Oh fuck,” Liu Qingge gasped. “Oh fuck, Shen Qingqiu—”

Shen Qingqiu held there for a moment, breathing through her nose, feeling the jade fill her completely. Then she pulled back slowly, gasping for air once it was free of her throat.

“Again,” Liu Qingge said, and there was something desperate and commanding in her voice. “Please. Do that again.”

Shen Qingqiu did. Took the jade deep into her throat, held it, pulled back. Establishing a rhythm now, a few shallow strokes followed by one deep one. Each time she took it to the root, Liu Qingge made sounds that went straight to Shen Qingqiu’s neglected core.

Her jaw was starting to ache, and she could feel saliva running down her chin, making everything slick and messy. But she didn’t care. She was too focused on the way Liu Qingge was falling apart above her. The way those strong hands had moved from the headboard to hover near Shen Qingqiu’s head, clearly wanting to touch but not daring to without permission.

“You can touch,” Shen Qingqiu said, pulling off to speak. Her voice was rough, throat already feeling the stretch. “My hair. You can hold my hair if you want.”

“I don’t want to hurt you,” Liu Qingge said.

“You won’t.” Shen Qingqiu took the jade back into her mouth, sucking hard. “I’ll tell you if it’s too much. Now touch me.”

Liu Qingge’s hands finally, finally came down to thread through Shen Qingqiu’s hair. Not pulling or pushing, just holding.

“Like this?” she asked.

Shen Qingqiu hummed in approval around the jade, and Liu Qingge groaned at the vibration.

They found a new rhythm together. Liu Qingge’s hands in Shen Qingqiu’s hair, not controlling but guiding. Gentle pressure to show what she wanted. And Shen Qingqiu followed those cues eagerly, taking the jade deeper when Liu Qingge’s fingers tightened, pulling back when they relaxed.

“You’re so good at this,” Liu Qingge breathed. “So fucking good. Taking me so well. Look so perfect like this, on your knees for me, mouth full—”

The praise sent heat flooding through Shen Qingqiu. She could feel how wet she was, could feel arousal dripping down her thighs, but she didn’t move to touch herself. Was too focused on this. On reducing Liu Qingge to a trembling, desperate mess.

“I’m close,” Liu Qingge warned suddenly. “Shen Qingqiu, I’m—the talismans—I think I can—fuck—”

Shen Qingqiu doubled her efforts. Took the jade as deep as she could and swallowed around it, throat working, while her hand came up to stroke what she couldn’t fit in her mouth.

Liu Qingge came with a broken shout, her whole body going rigid, hands tightening in Shen Qingqiu’s hair but not painfully. Just holding on like Shen Qingqiu was the only solid thing in the world.

Shen Qingqiu could feel the jade  pulsing in her mouth and throat, the talismans transmitting Liu Qingge’s orgasm through the spiritual binding. It was strange and fascinating and incredibly arousing.

She worked her through it, gentling her movements as Liu Qingge shook and gasped above her.

Finally, she pulled off completely, sitting back on her heels and wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Her jaw ached, her throat was sore, and she probably looked absolutely debauched.

Liu Qingge stared down at her with something like awe.

“That was—” She seemed unable to finish the sentence. “I’ve never—that was—”

“Good?” Shen Qingqiu asked, slightly smug despite her wrecked appearance.

“Good doesn’t even begin to cover it.” Liu Qingge reached down, pulling Shen Qingqiu up into a deep kiss. Tasting herself on Shen Qingqiu’s lips or rather, tasting what Shen Qingqiu had done to the jade that was now part of her.

When they broke apart, Liu Qingge said, “Now it’s your turn.”

“I thought you’d never ask,” Shen Qingqiu replied.

Liu Qingge shifted, moving to lie back properly against the pillows, and pulled Shen Qingqiu with her. “Come here.”

Shen Qingqiu went willingly, letting Liu Qingge guide her until she was straddling the war god’s hips. The jade phallus jutted up between them, still slick from Shen Qingqiu’s mouth, and she could feel it pressing against her, hot and hard.

“Like this?” she asked, positioning herself over it.

“Not yet,” Liu Qingge said, hands coming to rest on Shen Qingqiu’s hips. “Grind on it first. Want to watch you use it. Want to feel you get wetter.”

Heat flooded through Shen Qingqiu at the command. She lowered herself slowly until the jade was trapped between them, pressed against her soaking folds but not inside. Just there. A solid, unyielding pressure exactly where she needed it.

She rolled her hips experimentally, and the sensation made her gasp. The smooth jade slid through her wetness, the head catching on her clit with each forward motion.

“That’s it,” Liu Qingge said, voice rough. Her hands tightened on Shen Qingqiu’s hips, not controlling but encouraging. “Just like that. Use me. Take what you need.”

Shen Qingqiu braced her hands on Liu Qingge’s shoulders and began to move in earnest. Rolling her hips in slow, deliberate circles. The jade was thick enough that even just grinding against it provided delicious friction. She could feel it parting her folds, sliding through her wetness, the head bumping against her clit with every forward roll.

“Fuck,” she breathed. “I can—I can feel every—”

“I know,” Liu Qingge said. “I can feel it too. Can feel how wet you are. How hot. The way you’re coating it. Making it slick.”

Shen Qingqiu moaned and ground down harder. The jade was warming from the friction, from the heat of her body, and the combination of smooth stone and her own slickness was intoxicating. She could hear the obscene wet sounds she was making, could feel arousal dripping down to coat Liu Qingge’s hips as well.

“You’re soaking me,” Liu Qingge said, and there was dark satisfaction in her voice. “Making such a mess. Do you like it? Like grinding on my cock?”

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu gasped. “Gods, yes. It feels—I need—”

“Not yet.” Liu Qingge’s hands held her hips steady, preventing her from rising up enough to take the jade inside. “Want to watch you like this longer. Want to feel you get desperate for it.”

“I am desperate,” Shen Qingqiu said, but she didn’t try to fight Liu Qingge’s hold. Just kept grinding, kept rolling her hips, chasing the friction against her clit.

Her thighs were trembling with the effort, her whole body covered in a light sheen of sweat. She’d already come twice tonight, once on Liu Qingge’s fingers, once so hard she’d squirted and her body was oversensitive, overwrought. Every touch felt magnified. Every sensation almost too much.

But she couldn’t stop.

She ground down harder, faster, her breathing coming in short gasps. The jade was fully warmed now, felt almost like living flesh as it slid through her folds. She could feel her clit catching on the ridge of the head with every pass, sending sparks of pleasure shooting up her spine.

“Beautiful,” Liu Qingge murmured, watching her with dark, hungry eyes. “You’re so beautiful like this. Desperate and needy. Using me to get off. Taking your pleasure.”

Shen Qingqiu whimpered. Her movements were getting erratic now, less controlled. She was chasing something, that edge just out of reach, grinding frantically against the jade.

“That’s it,” Liu Qingge encouraged. “You’re close, aren’t you? Can feel it. The way you’re shaking. The way you are getting more desperate.”

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu gasped. “I’m so—I need—please—”

“Please what?”

“Please let me—let me take it inside—I need to be filled—”

“Not yet.” Liu Qingge’s voice was firm. “Come like this first. Show me you can come just from grinding on it. Then I’ll fuck you properly.”

Shen Qingqiu wanted to argue, wanted to demand, but her body had other ideas. The constant friction against her clit, the thick presence of the jade between her legs, the absolute filth of what they were doing, it was all building to something inevitable.

She ground down hard, changing her angle slightly, and suddenly the head of the jade was pressing directly against her clit with every movement. The pressure was perfect, constant, unrelenting.

“Oh—oh gods—Liu Qingge—”

“That’s it,” Liu Qingge said. “Let me feel it. Come for me.”

Shen Qingqiu’s rhythm fell apart completely. She was just grinding frantically now, shameless and desperate, chasing that peak. Her nails dug into Liu Qingge’s shoulders hard enough to leave marks, her head fell back, and she could hear herself making sounds, high, desperate whimpers that she’d be embarrassed about later.

But right now she didn’t care.

Right now all that existed was the jade between her legs and the pleasure building higher and higher and—

She came with a broken cry.

Her third orgasm of the night hit her like a tidal wave not as intense as the second one had been, but deeper somehow. More sustained. Her whole body locked up, thighs clamping around Liu Qingge’s hips, and she could feel herself gushing wetness, making an even bigger mess of them both.

Liu Qingge held her through it, hands gentle now, supporting her as she shook and gasped and slowly came back to herself.

When Shen Qingqiu finally opened her eyes, Liu Qingge was looking at her with such raw want that it sent an aftershock of pleasure through her oversensitive body.

“Now,” Liu Qingge said, voice rough with need, “now I’m going to fuck you properly.”

Shen Qingqiu could only nod, still trembling, as Liu Qingge’s hands gripped her hips and lifted her up slightly. Positioned her over the jade. The head pressed against her entrance, slick , hot and ready.

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu breathed. “Please. I need—”

Liu Qingge began to lower her slowly, and Shen Qingqiu felt the jade begin to push inside. The stretch was immediate and intense, so much thicker than Liu Qingge’s fingers had been and she gasped at the sensation.

“Okay?” Liu Qingge asked, pausing.

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu managed. “Don’t stop. Please don’t stop.”

Liu Qingge continued lowering her, and Shen Qingqiu felt herself being filled inch by inch. The jade was relentless, unyielding, stretching her open in a way that was just on the edge of too much but somehow still perfect. She could feel every ridge, every subtle contour of the carved stone as it pushed deeper. Could feel her inner walls struggling to accommodate the width, stretching and yielding around the intrusion.

“Fuck,” Liu Qingge groaned. “I can feel—you’re so tight—so hot—clenching around me—”

“More,” Shen Qingqiu gasped. “I can take more.”

Liu Qingge let gravity do most of the work, just guiding Shen Qingqiu down slowly, until finally she was fully seated. The jade buried completely inside her, the base pressed against her entrance, Liu Qingge’s hips flush against hers. Shen Qingqiu could feel it everywhere, the impossible fullness, the way it pressed against her inner walls, the slight curve of it hitting spots that made her vision blur.

For a moment, neither of them moved.

They just stayed like that, breathing hard, adjusting to the sensation.

Then Shen Qingqiu tried to lift herself up, tried to start moving, to ride Liu Qingge the way she’d been commanded to and her thighs gave out completely.

She collapsed forward with a small, frustrated sound, catching herself on Liu Qingge’s shoulders before she face-planted into the war god’s chest.

“I can’t,” she gasped. “I’m too—my legs won’t—”

“I’ve got you,” Liu Qingge said immediately.

She wrapped her arms around Shen Qingqiu and carefully, gently, rolled them over. Lowering Shen Qingqiu onto her back against the pillows, the jade slipping out in the process with an obscene wet sound that made them both groan.

Shen Qingqiu lay there, boneless and spent, as Liu Qingge positioned herself above her.

“Rest,” Liu Qingge murmured. “Let me take care of you.”

Then she began kissing her way down Shen Qingqiu’s body.

Soft, reverent kisses pressed to her lips, her jaw, her neck. Down to her collarbones, lingering on the marks she’d left earlier. Over the swell of her breasts, taking time to lave attention on each nipple until Shen Qingqiu was squirming beneath her. Down her sternum, across her ribs, over her stomach.

Liu Qingge kissed every inch of skin she could reach, mapping Shen Qingqiu’s body like it was territory to be claimed. Like she was memorizing every curve, every plane, every place that made Shen Qingqiu gasp or sigh.

She kissed over Shen Qingqiu’s hip bones, down her thighs, taking time to bite at the soft inner flesh, leaving new marks to join the ones from earlier. Down to her knees, her calves, all the way to her ankles.

And then Liu Qingge took Shen Qingqiu’s foot in her hands and pressed a kiss to the arch.

Shen Qingqiu made a startled sound. “What are you—”

But Liu Qingge just kept going. Kissing along the top of her foot, her ankle, her calf. Working her way back up with the same reverence she’d shown on the way down.

When she reached Shen Qingqiu’s thighs again, she paused. Her hands slid under Shen Qingqiu’s knees, lifting her legs up.

“Hold onto me,” she said.

Shen Qingqiu wrapped her legs around Liu Qingge’s neck, ankles crossing at the base of her skull. The position opened her completely, left her utterly vulnerable and exposed.

Liu Qingge looked down at her with dark, hungry eyes. The jade phallus jutted from her hips, still slick with Shen Qingqiu’s wetness, and she positioned herself at Shen Qingqiu’s entrance once more.

“Ready?” she asked.

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu breathed. “Please—”

Liu Qingge pushed in slowly. So slowly. Inch by torturous inch, giving Shen Qingqiu time to adjust to the angle, to the depth. In this position, with her legs up and hips tilted, everything felt different. Deeper. More intense.

The jade slid in smoothly, aided by how thoroughly soaked Shen Qingqiu was, and she could feel it pressing against her front wall, hitting that devastating spot inside her with unerring precision.

“Oh,” she gasped. “Oh gods—that’s—”

“Good?” Liu Qingge asked, voice strained with the effort of going slow.

“So good,” Shen Qingqiu managed. “So—fuck—so deep—”

Liu Qingge bottomed out, hips flush against Shen Qingqiu’s ass, and they both groaned at the sensation. Then she began to move.

Slow at first. Pulling almost all the way out before pushing back in with the same careful precision. Each thrust deliberate, controlled, hitting that perfect spot inside that made Shen Qingqiu see stars.

But Shen Qingqiu could see it in her eyes, the control was costing her. Could see the way Liu Qingge’s jaw was clenched, the way her muscles were trembling with the effort of holding back.

“Don’t,” Shen Qingqiu said. “Don’t hold back. I can take it. I want—I want all of you.”

Something shifted in Liu Qingge’s expression. Something wild and primal sliding into place behind her eyes.

“You sure?” she asked, voice gone rough and dangerous.

“Yes,” Shen Qingqiu said. “Fuck me. Really fuck me. Like you mean it.”

Liu Qingge’s control snapped.

She pulled back and slammed in hard, and Shen Qingqiu screamed in pure, overwhelming pleasure. The force of the thrust drove the air from her lungs, drove the jade so deep she felt it everywhere. In her belly, her chest, her throat. Like it was splitting her open and remaking her from the inside out.

Liu Qingge didn’t give her time to recover. Just pulled back and thrust again. And again. Building to a brutal, punishing rhythm that made the bed shake and the headboard slam against the wall with each impact.

The sounds were obscene. The wet slap of skin on skin. The squelch of the jade driving into Shen Qingqiu’s soaked pussy. Shen Qingqiu’s high, desperate cries. Liu Qingge’s harsh breathing and the occasional growl that sounded more animal than human.

Shen Qingqiu had thought she was spent. Thought her body had nothing left to give after three orgasms. But this was different. This was Liu Qingge fucking her like she was trying to break her. Like she was trying to fuse them into one being through sheer force and friction.

The jade was hitting places inside her that Shen Qingqiu hadn’t known existed. Each thrust dragged against her inner walls, the slight curve of it pressing relentlessly against that spot that made her lose her mind. She could feel herself stretching around it, could feel the way her body yielded and clenched and struggled to accommodate the width and the depth and the sheer relentless intensity of it.

“Fuck—fuck—Liu Qingge—” She couldn’t form complete sentences anymore. Could barely form words. Everything had dissolved into desperate, incoherent babbling.

Tears were streaming down her face. Not from pain but from how good it felt. How overwhelming. How completely and utterly consuming.

Her mouth hung open, saliva pooling at the corners and dripping down her chin. She couldn’t close it. Couldn’t do anything except gasp and moan and sob with each devastating thrust.

Her eyes rolled back in her head. She tried to focus on Liu Qingge’s face above her, tried to ground herself in the reality of what was happening, but her vision kept blurring, kept going white at the edges.

Liu Qingge looked wild. Feral. Her eyes were blown completely black, pupils swallowing the iris. Sweat dripped from her face, her neck, running in rivulets down her chest. Her hair clung to her forehead and cheeks in dark, wet strands. Her mouth was open on harsh pants, occasionally baring her teeth in something that was half grimace, half snarl.

She looked like something untamed. Like a creature of pure instinct and hunger and need.

And she was fucked Shen Qingqiu like she was trying to claim her soul.

“Mine,” Liu Qingge growled, and Shen Qingqiu felt the word reverberate through her entire body. “You’re mine. Say it.”

“Yours,” Shen Qingqiu sobbed. “I’m yours—all yours—please—”

Liu Qingge’s hands gripped Shen Qingqiu’s hips hard enough to bruise, angling her up even more, and somehow, impossibly, the jade went even deeper.

Shen Qingqiu screamed again. Her hands flew up, nails raking down Liu Qingge’s back, leaving red furrows in her wake. She could feel skin catching under her nails, could distantly feel Liu Qingge hiss, but the war god didn’t slow down. If anything, she fucked harder.

The headboard was slamming against the wall now with such force that Shen Qingqiu distantly worried it might actually break. The rhythmic banging echoed through the room, a percussive counterpoint to the wet sounds of their coupling and Shen Qingqiu’s increasingly incoherent cries.

“Can’t—can’t—too much—” Shen Qingqiu gasped out, but her body was betraying her words. Her hips were rolling up to meet each thrust, her inner walls clenching desperately around the jade, trying to pull it deeper even as her mind insisted it was too much.

“You can,” Liu Qingge said. “You can take it. You’re taking it so well. Look at you—look at how perfectly you take my cock—”

The filth of the words combined with the brutal rhythm drove Shen Qingqiu higher. She was trembling all over, muscles going taut and then slack in waves she couldn’t control. Her whole body felt like it belonged to someone else. Like she was just a passenger in her own flesh, helpless to do anything except feel.

Liu Qingge suddenly almost pulled out, and Shen Qingqiu made a desperate, wounded sound at the loss.

“No—don’t—please—”

“Turn over,” Liu Qingge commanded. “On your hands and knees.”

Shen Qingqiu tried to comply, but her limbs weren’t responding properly. Everything felt heavy and disconnected. Liu Qingge had to help her, had to physically maneuver her into position, face down, ass up, thighs spread wide.

The moment she was in place, Liu Qingge was pushing back inside.

The angle was different like this. Deeper somehow, if that was even possible. The jade drove in and Shen Qingqiu felt it press against her cervix, a sharp-sweet ache that made her cry out.

Liu Qingge set an even more brutal pace than before. One hand fisted in Shen Qingqiu’s hair, pulling her head back, arching her spine. The other gripped her hip, holding her in place as she pounded into her with abandon.

Shen Qingqiu couldn’t hold herself up. Her arms gave out and she collapsed forward, cheek pressed against the pillows, ass still in the air. Completely limp. Completely surrendered. Just lying there and taking it while Liu Qingge used her body.

And it felt incredible.

She could feel drool soaking into the pillow beneath her cheek. Could feel more tears streaming down her face. Could feel sweat making her skin slick and hot. Could hear herself making sounds, high, keening wails that didn’t even sound human anymore.

Her eyes rolled back again. White-hot pleasure was building in her core, different from the previous orgasms. Deeper. More all-consuming. Like her entire body was being rewired around the sensation of the jade driving into her again and again and again.

“Please—please—I’m going to—I can’t—”

“Come,” Liu Qingge demanded, and there was something commanding in her voice that went straight to Shen Qingqiu’s core. “Come on my cock. Want to feel you fall apart.”

The hand in Shen Qingqiu’s hair tightened, pulling harder, and the sharp sting combined with everything else finally pushed her over the edge.

Her fourth orgasm hit like a physical blow.

Her entire body locked up, back arching impossibly, a scream tearing from her throat that probably woke half the mountain. She felt herself clench around the jade so hard it was almost painful, felt her inner walls rippling and spasming, felt wetness gush out around the jade and drip down her thighs.

Liu Qingge kept fucking her through it. Kept driving in deep and hard while Shen Qingqiu shook and sobbed and fell completely apart.

The pleasure seemed to go on forever. Wave after wave crashing through her until she couldn’t tell where one ended and the next began. Until everything blurred into one continuous sensation of overwhelming ecstasy.

She was vaguely aware of Liu Qingge groaning above her, felt the jade pulse inside her as the talismans transmitted Liu Qingge’s own orgasm through the spiritual binding. Felt Liu Qingge collapse forward, blanketing her body, both of them shaking and gasping for air.

They stayed like that for a long moment. Liu Qingge’s weight pressing Shen Qingqiu into the mattress, the jade still buried deep inside her, both of them trembling with aftershocks.

Finally, Liu Qingge carefully withdrew, and Shen Qingqiu whimpered at the loss. She felt empty. Hollow. Like something essential had been removed.

Liu Qingge rolled them both onto their sides, pulling Shen Qingqiu back against her chest. One arm wrapped around her waist, holding her close, while her other hand came up to brush sweat-soaked hair away from Shen Qingqiu’s face.

“Are you okay?” Liu Qingge asked softly. “Was that too much? Did I hurt you?”

Shen Qingqiu tried to respond, but all that came out was an incoherent sound. Her throat was raw from screaming, her body was wrung out and trembling, and her brain felt like it had been thoroughly scrambled.

She managed to shake her head slightly. Not hurt. Not too much. Perfect.

Liu Qingge seemed to understand. She pressed gentle kisses to Shen Qingqiu’s shoulder, her neck, the back of her head.

“You did so well,” she murmured. “Took me so perfectly. You’re incredible.”

Shen Qingqiu made another inarticulate sound, and Liu Qingge huffed a small laugh.

“Rest,” she said. “I’ve got you.”

And Shen Qingqiu, completely spent and utterly satisfied, let her eyes fall closed and surrendered to the darkness.

When Shen Qingqiu woke, she had no idea how much time had passed. Minutes? Hours? Her body felt heavy, disconnected, like she was floating somewhere just outside of herself.

She became aware of sensations slowly. The softness of her sheets beneath her. The gentle warmth of a damp cloth moving across her skin. The low murmur of Liu Qingge’s voice, speaking quietly.

“—going to clean you up now. Just stay still.”

Shen Qingqiu tried to speak, but her throat was too raw. All that came out was a cracked, rasping sound.

“Don’t talk,” Liu Qingge said immediately, and Shen Qingqiu felt the bed dip as she leaned closer. “Your throat—you screamed a lot. I should have been more careful.”

There was something in her voice. Something that made Shen Qingqiu’s chest tighten with unease even through the pleasant fog of exhaustion. She forced her eyes open.

The room was dimmer now. Liu Qingge had lit a single lamp, turned low, casting everything in soft golden light. Liu Qingge sat beside her on the bed, now dressed in her inner robe, the jade phallus notably absent. In her hands was a bowl of water and a clean cloth.

“There you are,” Liu Qingge said softly when their eyes met. “How do you feel?”

Shen Qingqiu opened her mouth to respond, then winced at the pain in her throat.

“Don’t,” Liu Qingge said again. “Just—just rest. Let me take care of you.”

She dipped the cloth in the warm water, Shen Qingqiu noted distantly and wrung it out before bringing it to Shen Qingqiu’s face. She cleaned away the dried tears with gentle strokes, wiped the saliva from her chin, carefully dabbed at her swollen lips.

The tenderness of it made something ache in Shen Qingqiu’s chest.

Liu Qingge moved down to her neck, cleaning away the sweat and evidence of their coupling with the same careful attention. Over her shoulders, down her arms, across her chest. She took her time with Shen Qingqiu’s breasts, mindful of how sensitive they must be, before moving to her stomach.

When she reached between Shen Qingqiu’s legs, she paused.

“This might be uncomfortable,” she warned. “Tell me if I need to stop.”

Shen Qingqiu managed a small nod.

Liu Qingge cleaned her there with excruciating gentleness. Shen Qingqiu could feel how swollen and tender she was, could feel the slight sting as the cloth wiped away the evidence of how thoroughly she’d been used. She hissed softly at one particularly sensitive spot, and Liu Qingge immediately lightened her touch even more.

“I’m sorry,” Liu Qingge murmured. “I know it hurts. Almost done.”

She finished cleaning between Shen Qingqiu’s legs, then moved down to her thighs. Shen Qingqiu watched through heavy-lidded eyes as Liu Qingge carefully wiped away the wetness that had dripped down to her knees, her calves.

When she was satisfied that Shen Qingqiu was clean, Liu Qingge set the bowl aside and reached for something else. A small jar that Shen Qingqiu recognized from her own medicine cabinet.

“Healing salve,” Liu Qingge explained, opening it. “For the bruises. And for—for between your legs. It’ll help with the soreness.”

She warmed some of the salve between her palms before applying it to the finger-shaped bruises on Shen Qingqiu’s hips. Her touch was feather-light, as she massaged the ointment into each mark.

“I shouldn’t have gripped you so hard,” she said quietly. “You’ll have these for days.”

Shen Qingqiu wanted to tell her it was fine. That she liked the bruises, actually. That she wanted to look at them tomorrow and remember this night. But her throat wouldn’t cooperate, so she just reached out and touched Liu Qingge’s wrist instead.

Liu Qingge looked at her, and Shen Qingqiu tried to convey with her eyes what she couldn’t say with words.

It’s okay. I wanted this. Don’t regret it.

But Liu Qingge’s expression was hard to read in the low light. She just nodded slightly and continued with the salve, applying it to the bite marks on Shen Qingqiu’s thighs, her breasts, and her neck.

When she reached between Shen Qingqiu’s legs again, she was even more careful than before. Using just her fingertips to apply the cooling salve to Shen Qingqiu’s swollen, tender flesh. Shen Qingqiu winced at the first touch, but the medicinal properties began working immediately, numbing the worst of the ache.

“Better?” Liu Qingge asked.

Shen Qingqiu nodded.

“Good.” Liu Qingge wiped her hands clean and then reached for a cup of water that had been sitting on the bedside table. “Can you sit up? You need to drink something.”

With Liu Qingge’s help, Shen Qingqiu managed to prop herself up against the pillows. Her whole body protested the movement, muscles she hadn’t known she had were making themselves known, but she gritted her teeth and bore it.

Liu Qingge held the cup to her lips, and Shen Qingqiu drank gratefully. The cool water soothed her raw throat, and she drained the entire cup before pulling back.

“More?” Liu Qingge asked.

Shen Qingqiu shook her head.

“Alright. Let me—” Liu Qingge set the cup aside and stood. “The sheets are soaked. We should change them.”

She moved around the room with efficient purpose, gathering clean bedding from Shen Qingqiu’s storage chest. Shen Qingqiu watched her, that uneasy feeling in her chest growing stronger.

There was something wrong.

Liu Qingge was being too careful. Too gentle. Too… distant.

She wasn’t meeting Shen Qingqiu’s eyes for more than a moment at a time. Her jaw was tight, her movements almost mechanical. Like she was going through the motions of aftercare without actually being present.

When she came back to the bed, she helped Shen Qingqiu stand on trembling legs and supported her weight while she stripped the soiled sheets. Shen Qingqiu had to lean heavily on her, and she could feel Liu Qingge’s muscles tensing under her touch.

Fresh sheets were spread out, and Liu Qingge helped Shen Qingqiu lie back down. She even tucked her in carefully, making sure she was comfortable before stepping back.

“Do you need anything else?” she asked. “More water? Food? This shimei could make tea—”

Her voice was wrong. Too formal. Too careful.

Shen Qingqiu’s chest felt tight.

She reached out and caught Liu Qingge’s wrist before she could move away. Her grip was weak, but it was enough to make Liu Qingge pause.

“Stay,” she managed to rasp out, voice barely above a whisper.

Liu Qingge looked at her for a long moment, then nodded. “Of course. Let me just—I should clean up the bowl and—”

“Now,” Shen Qingqiu said, tightening her grip as much as her exhausted body would allow. “Stay now.”

Liu Qingge hesitated, and that hesitation sent a spike of cold fear through Shen Qingqiu’s chest.

But then Liu Qingge climbed into bed beside her, careful to leave space between them. She lay on her back, staring at the ceiling, her body rigid.

The distance between them felt like a chasm.

Shen Qingqiu waited for Liu Qingge to reach for her, to pull her close the way she had after each orgasm during their coupling. To wrap around her with that possessive certainty that had made Shen Qingqiu feel wanted and safe and claimed.

But Liu Qingge didn’t move.

Just laid there, stiff and separate, like they were strangers sharing a bed out of necessity rather than lovers who had just torn each other apart and put each other back together.

The silence stretched.

Shen Qingqiu felt something cold and heavy settling in her stomach. The pleasant exhaustion from earlier was curdling into something else. Something that felt uncomfortably like hurt.

She tried to tell herself she was being ridiculous. That Liu Qingge was just being considerate, giving her space, not wanting to crowd her when she was so sore and spent.

But it didn’t feel like consideration.

It felt like regret.

The thought made her chest constrict so painfully she could barely breathe.

Did Liu Qingge regret it? Regret what they’d done? Regret her?

The fear crystallized into something sharp and terrible, and Shen Qingqiu felt her eyes begin to burn with tears she didn’t want to shed.

She’d given Liu Qingge everything tonight. Had let her see parts of herself she’d never shown anyone. Had surrendered completely, had let herself be vulnerable in ways that terrified her.

And now Liu Qingge was lying there like she couldn’t bear to touch her.

“Liu Qingge,” Shen Qingqiu said, and her voice cracked on the name. Not just from the rawness of her throat, but from the emotion threatening to choke her.

“You should rest,” Liu Qingge said, still staring at the ceiling. “You need to recover. I was too rough. You should—”

“Do you regret it?” The words burst out of Shen Qingqiu before she could stop them.

Liu Qingge’s head snapped toward her, eyes wide. “What?”

“Do you regret it?” Shen Qingqiu repeated, and she hated how small her voice sounded. How fragile. “Do you regret me?”

“No,” Liu Qingge said immediately, forcefully. “No, of course not. Why would you—”

“Then why are you so far away?” Shen Qingqiu asked, and the tears she’d been fighting spilled over. “Why won’t you touch me? Why won’t you even look at me?”

Liu Qingge sat up abruptly, and Shen Qingqiu flinched at the sudden movement.

“Shen Qingqiu—”

“You were inside me less than an hour ago,” Shen Qingqiu continued, the words tumbling out now that she’d started. Her voice was wrecked and raw but she couldn’t stop. “You made me come multiple times. You made me scream and cry and fall apart. You said I was yours. And now you can’t even—you won’t even—”

Her voice broke completely, dissolving into sobs that hurt her ravaged throat.

“I don’t regret it,” Liu Qingge said, and there was desperation in her voice now. “Shen Qingqiu, I could never regret you. That’s not—that’s not why I’m—”

“Then why?” Shen Qingqiu demanded through her tears. “Why are you acting like this? Like you can’t stand to be near me?”

“Because I hurt you!” Liu Qingge’s voice cracked, and when Shen Qingqiu looked at her through blurry eyes, she saw that Liu Qingge was crying too. Tears streaming down her face, her expression twisted with something that looked like anguish. “I hurt you and I can’t—I can’t stop seeing it. Can’t stop seeing the bruises I left on your skin. Can’t stop hearing you scream. Can’t stop thinking about how rough I was, how I lost control, how I used you like—like—”

“Like I begged you to,” Shen Qingqiu said.

Liu Qingge shook her head violently. “You don’t understand. I—I’ve never felt like that before. Never lost control like that. I looked at you and I wanted to—to consume you. To mark you. To make sure everyone on this mountain knew you were mine. And I did that. I did all of that. And now you’re covered in bruises and you can barely speak and you can’t even walk and it’s all because I couldn’t control myself—”

“I wanted it,” Shen Qingqiu said fiercely, sitting up despite the protest from her sore muscles. “I wanted all of it. I told you not to hold back. I told you to fuck me like you meant it. I wanted to feel claimed. I wanted the bruises. I wanted to be sore tomorrow so I’d remember tonight.”

“But what if I’d gone too far?” Liu Qingge’s voice was anguished. “What if I’d actually hurt you? What if I’d damaged something that couldn’t be healed? I could have—if I’d lost control even more—”

“But you didn’t,” Shen Qingqiu said. She reached out and grabbed Liu Qingge’s face between her hands, forcing the war god to look at her. “You didn’t hurt me. Not in any way that wasn’t exactly what I wanted. You stopped when I said it was too much. You checked on me. You took care of me after. You did everything right, Liu Qingge.”

“I saw you crying,” Liu Qingge said, and fresh tears spilled down her cheeks. “You were crying and drooling and you couldn’t even speak coherently and I just kept—I kept going—”

“Because it felt good,” Shen Qingqiu said. “Because it felt so good I couldn’t handle it. Those were good tears, you idiot. Those were ‘this is the best sex I’ve ever had in my life’ tears.”

Liu Qingge stared at her, and Shen Qingqiu could see the war between belief and guilt playing out across her face.

“I thought—” Liu Qingge’s voice was small. “I thought maybe I’d ruined it. Ruined us. That you’d wake up and realize what I am. How violent I can be. How dangerous. That you’d look at me and see a monster.”

“I see you,” Shen Qingqiu said. “I see all of you. The warrior, the protector. The woman who made me feel wanted for the first time in my life. The woman I—”

She stopped, the words catching in her throat.

But Liu Qingge was looking at her with such raw hope that Shen Qingqiu couldn’t not finish.

“The woman I love,” she whispered.

Liu Qingge made a broken sound and pulled Shen Qingqiu into her arms. Finally, finally touching her, holding her close. They clung to each other, both crying now, months or maybe years of unspoken feelings finally breaking free.

“I love you,” Liu Qingge said against Shen Qingqiu’s hair. “I love you so much. I have for so long. And tonight was—it was everything I’ve ever wanted. But I was so scared I’d ruined it. That I’d been too much. That you’d realize I’m not—I’m not good at the soft things. I’m too rough, too intense, too—”

“Perfect,” Shen Qingqiu interrupted. “You’re perfect. For me, you’re perfect.”

They held each other and cried, all the fear and guilt and love they’d been holding back finally finding release.

When the tears finally subsided, they stayed pressed together. Shen Qingqiu’s face buried in Liu Qingge’s neck, Liu Qingge’s arms wrapped securely around her.

“I want to court you,” Liu Qingge said quietly. “Properly. Not just—not just this. Though I want this too. But I want to take you on dates. Bring you gifts. Let everyone on this mountain know that you’re mine and I’m yours. I want you to meet my sister. I want—I want everything with you.”

Shen Qingqiu pulled back just enough to look at her. “You want to court the Peak Lord of Qing Jing Peak?”

“I want to court Shen Qingqiu,” Liu Qingge said. “The woman who’s too smart for her own good. Who has a vicious streak a mile wide. Who visits brothels to gossip with courtesans. Who just let me fuck her until she couldn’t speak and then told me she loved me.”

Shen Qingqiu felt a smile tugging at her lips despite everything. “That’s a lot of woman to court.”

“I know,” Liu Qingge said. “I’m up for the challenge.”

“You’ll have to deal with my brother,” Shen Qingqiu warned. “Yue Qingyuan will probably want to have a very long, very uncomfortable conversation with you about your intentions.”

“I’ll tell him my intentions are to worship his sister in every way possible for the rest of my life,” Liu Qingge said without hesitation.

Shen Qingqiu laughed, then winced as it hurt her throat. “Don’t say it like that to Qi-ge. He’ll actually die of embarrassment.”

“Fine. I’ll be diplomatic.” Liu Qingge paused. “What should I say instead?”

“That you care for me. That you’ll treat me well. That you’ll protect me.” Shen Qingqiu’s smile turned softer. “All the things that are true anyway.”

“They are true,” Liu Qingge said. She carefully maneuvered them both back down onto the bed, this time pulling Shen Qingqiu close against her chest. “You’re the most important person in my life. And I’m going to make sure you never doubt that again.”

Shen Qingqiu settled into her embrace, finally feeling the tension drain from her body. This was what she’d needed. Not the distance, not the guilty hovering. Just this. Being held. Being wanted. Being loved.

“I’m sorry I thought you regretted it,” she murmured.

“I’m sorry I made you think that,” Liu Qingge replied. “Next time I worry you like that, just hit me.”

“Next time?” Shen Qingqiu raised an eyebrow. “You planning on spiraling with guilt regularly?”

“Well, I am planning on regularly fucking you until you can’t walk,” Liu Qingge said. “So probably yes, I’ll feel guilty about it every time even though you apparently enjoy being ravished within an inch of your life.”

Shen Qingqiu felt heat creep into her cheeks. “I do enjoy it. For the record. In case that wasn’t clear.”

“It’s becoming clear,” Liu Qingge said, and there was amusement in her voice now. “You have interesting tastes, Shen-shijie.”

“Says the woman who gets turned on from me talking about murdering someone.”

“That’s fair.”

They lay there in comfortable silence for a while, just breathing together. Shen Qingqiu could feel exhaustion pulling at her again, her body demanding rest after everything it had been through.

“Sleep,” Liu Qingge said softly, as if reading her thoughts. “I’ll be here when you wake up.”

“Promise?” Shen Qingqiu asked, suddenly feeling vulnerable again.

“Promise,” Liu Qingge said. “I’m not going anywhere. Not now. Not ever, if you’ll have me.”

“I’ll have you,” Shen Qingqiu said. “All of you. The gentle parts and the violent parts. The warrior and the lover. Everything.”

“Then you have me,” Liu Qingge said simply, “Rest now, Shen Qingqiu.”
