Work Text:

“It feeds others toxic mochi that draw out desires and capabilities. Those who eat the mochi fall under Pecharunt’s control, chained to its will.”

Dot sat at her computer, tapping away at the keys of her keyboard; jotting down the events of the day into the digital journal she’d started keeping after the Rising Volteccers regrouped once more.

She recounted the events of that day; how Pecharunt simultaneously infiltrated and took control of everybody on the Brave Asagi and just how oddly terrifying the situation was. Dot doesn’t think she can forget the unnerving sight of all the adults on the ship (plus Ult) with blank eyes, dancing and chanting “kibi-kibi” over and over again; especially Murdock cornering her while Pecharunt essentially forced the poison mochi down her throat.

But, all of that has passed like a bad dream now, thankfully. However, one thing that kept Dot on edge was what she’d overheard after the crew ate dinner with Diana.

Dot still had something to discuss with Murdock, but when they went to chat with him in the kitchen, she found that he and the rest of the adult crew were huddled in there with Diana, and she was warning them of a specific side effect of the poison mochi and advised them to keep an eye out on the kids; but why would they need to do that? Were they going to get really sick?

Diana said the effects would wear off within 48 hours and that there shouldn’t be anything to worry about. However, feeling unnerved, Dot decided to return to their room; they’d discuss things with Murdock later.

She finished jotting down the events of the day and reread her entry once more to solidify it. What they expected to read was a very detailed account of their encounter with Pecharunt. What she read, however, did detail the group’s odd encounter, but also included a very thorough implementation of her girlfriend throughout the entry.

Dot didn’t even recall being this detailed when writing about Liko. But there it was; descriptions so vivid and over the top about her smile and rosy cheeks as they stood on the deck of the Brave Asagi waiting for Diana’s arrival. About how she wanted to wrap her arms around her and bury her face in the crook of her girlfriend's neck; to feel her warmth and to hear her laugh as she called Dot her clingy little Skitty, as she typically did when they spent time together in one of their rooms.

Thinking about it more, Dot realized they were missing Liko’s touch much more than usual today. So much in fact, that they caught themself reaching for their phone to text Liko to see if she was still awake.

Dot caught herself mid reach; she was typically able to show more restraint (if you could call her being too anxious to actually text Liko late at night restraint), but she seemed to move on her own tonight, like her conscious and subconscious were having a battle and their subconscious was winning. But Dot would be lying if they said their conscious wasn’t screaming to go see Liko as much as their subconscious was. She really wanted to go see Liko, but that stupid, rational part of their brain was doing a great job at convincing her to not do that.

They decided to do a bit of editing for a new Gurumin video to get their mind off of the fight their brain seemed to be doing at the moment. Unfortunately the distraction only worked for so long before she found herself completely distracted by those incessant thoughts about her girlfriend.

Frustrated, Dot pressed her hands to her face and groaned before grabbing her bangs then letting go, falling back into her chair and staring at the ceiling. Luckily, Arceus seemed to hear her prayers for a distraction as a few sharp raps at her door echoed through her room.

She jolted up from her chair and rushed to her door; pulling it open, much faster than she intended, and making the occupant of the other side jump a little at the sudden motion.

Boy, did Arceus ever hear her prayers.

Standing on the other side of the door was Liko, looking just as frazzled and flushed as her partner standing opposite to her.

“A-ah, I’m sorry- I couldn’t sleep and I kept thinking about you so I thought I’d come and see if you were awake too-” Liko was talking so fast her face grew even redder. Her hands flew up to fiddle with the ends of her hair and she was looking everywhere but at Dot.

They grabbed Liko’s hands softly and gently guided them away from her hair. “Come in” they said as they led her into their room.

After closing the door, the pair went over to sit on the bed together, Dot still holding Liko’s hand in her own.

“Is there a reason you can’t sleep tonight?”

Liko’s gaze was falling everywhere but Dot’s, eventually looking away and mumbling something. Liko’s face was so red Dot felt as though they could feel the heat radiating off of it.

Dot stared at their girlfriend silently, and Liko, upon realizing Dot didn’t hear her, buried her face in her hands and groaned loudly.

“Ughhhhhh why are words failing me now!

Dot gently pulled Liko’s hands away from her face, “hey, it’s okay. You don’t have to say anything”

They smiled sheepishly at their girlfriend, who looked at Dot briefly before looking back down and very quietly asking; “Can I show you instead?”

Dot felt her heart start to race; in all honesty, they didn’t know what Liko was thinking at this moment, but boy did Dot’s brain have ideas. Ideas so tempting she whispered back “yes.”

Liko’s head shot up, a soft gasp escaping her lips as her aqua eyes met violet. Dot saw two things in her eyes; anxiety, but a giant spark of determination that shone brightly through. Liko swallowed hard before bringing her face closer to Dot, pressing their foreheads together.

“Tell me if you don’t like it…” Liko whispered, earning a quick, shallow nod from Dot before Liko’s lips crashed into theirs.

Dot was caught by surprise for a moment before she fell into rhythm with Liko. Liko brought her hands up and softly caressed Dot’s face. Dot responded with a soft sigh before wrapping their arms around Liko’s neck, pulling her closer in an attempt to close any remaining distance between the two of them, as Liko began kissing her back with just as much fervor.

Their kisses were fast, sloppy and quite uncoordinated, but neither of them honestly cared at that moment.

After a few moments, Liko’s hands fell from Dot’s face, roaming down to her neck, then chest, then settled them at her abdomen in order to keep herself steady. Dot felt electricity run through her at the new sensation on their body.

With this new sensation came a new feeling of boldness and a very dauntless thought; what would happen if Dot leaned back?

So she did; slowly to not give off the message that they wanted this to stop. Liko followed as Dot’s arms kept her close to them; she didn’t notice she was leaning further until-

THWUMP

She fell directly on top of Dot.

Liko started panicking; did she accidentally push Dot down? Is she forcing herself onto them too much?

She broke away and immediately started to apologize, which only lasted two seconds before Dot; one hand on the back of Liko’s head and the other gently on her cheek, pulled her back into a long, deep kiss. A kiss that was in much contrast to what they had been doing before; one that told Liko that Dot wanted this as much as she did.

Dot finally broke away from their tender kiss and dropped her head back onto their bed, staring back into Liko’s wide eyes.

“I really liked that” they murmured, their hands still in Liko’s hair, tracing circles on her head.

Liko hummed in response before bringing her face back closer to Dot’s, “Then I don’t suppose you’d like it if I did it again, would you, my love?”

“I would really like that as well” Dot smirked back up at her before Liko leaned down, closing the distance between them once more.

After a while of being on top of Dot, Liko’s arms started to get tired and she (very reluctantly) broke away from her partner beneath her who whined softly as she did so.

“Sorry… my arms were starting to get tired… Can we try something else?”

Dot nodded quickly, then started to sit up once more, but was stopped by Liko wrapping her arms around their torso then lifting them onto her lap, catching them thoroughly by surprise.

Dot draped her arms onto Liko’s shoulders once more. They brought their lips together once more before Liko found it to be her turn to follow her own adventurous thoughts and broke away from her partner, allowing her lips to travel elsewhere for a little while.

Dot woke up the next morning curled into her girlfriend, the warmth and comfort tempting her to lull back into sleep once more. Unfortunately, given the brightness in the room, she knew they probably overslept a bit…

They scooted up in Liko’s arms to be face to face with her once more and placed a kiss on her nose before they sat up in bed, pulling out their Rotom phone.

Dot nearly shouted in shock when she saw the time.

“Liko- Liko! Wake up! It’s almost 11am!”

Her girlfriend, who was clinging onto Dot’s waist, stirred for a moment before rubbing her eyes and coming back into consciousness once more.

Groggily, Liko sat up, let out a big yawn and stretched, “Hmm..?”

“We overslept!”

Liko leaned on Dot’s shoulder, looking at the screen of their phone for a moment before it fully registered.

“WHAT!?!”

Both teens scrambled out of bed and Liko turned away to allow Dot to get dressed before they needed to plan on sneaking Liko back to her room. They needed to be inconspicuous since they didn’t want to draw any attention to themselves given they would both be coming out of Dot’s room, Liko still in sleepwear insinuating it was a spontaneous visit last night, but also much to Liko’s horror as she turned around after Dot finished getting dressed; multiple dark marks covering Dot’s neck.

Liko immediately felt like she was about to burst into flames and put her head in her hands. Confused, Dot began to ask what was wrong before they caught the image of themself in the mirror on the other side of the room.

Jaw dropped in shock, there was only one word that escaped her lips:

“Shit”

After Liko got back to her room, Dot headed over to Molly’s office, sweater zipped up as far as it could go and scarf wrapped around her neck. Molly answered the door and looked Dot up and down.

“So… Liko’s a Sharpedo, huh?” Molly smirked as she leaned against the doorway.

Dot looked back at her with an unimpressed scowl.

“Very much so. Now teach me how to cover up hickies, please”

Notes:

If you’re wondering the fate of the other crew members that night;

Roy and Ult were found passed out on the battle deck in the morning after sparring all night until they couldn’t keep their eyes open anymore.

Murdock ended up baking this huge cake he’d been planning for a while.

Molly and Orio ended up having a night similar to Liko and Dot’s, although Molly’s a bit better at hiding hickies than Dot is from experience.
