Chapter Text
It was still strange to see the word from a bird’s eye view.
All but the tallest buildings looked completely flat when he glanced straight down. Squares and rectangles of concrete and metal and who knows what else. He was also high enough that he couldn’t make out a single person; they were smaller than ants.
His cape flapped wildly, battering his back and legs as he pushed himself onward. He was flying directly into the wind, determined to prove that he was a superhero just like the rest of his family.
Thus, it infuriated him to no end how much he was struggling. He’d seen his mother fly in and out of a hurricane like it was no big deal. This was just an ordinary day, it wasn’t even a gale.
Without intending to, he found himself veering towards a flock of birds flying in the opposite direction. Before he could figure out what kind of bird they were, they began brushing past him at an alarming speed.
Crying out in surprise, he veered this way and that to try and avoid being struck. For their part, the birds were doing much the same as he. One brushed his face with a wingtip. Another struck his thigh with an indignant squawk.
Panicking, he flew downward until he landed awkwardly on top of a tall high-rise that stood above most of the other buildings. Gasping heavily, he sat down on his ass and breathed slowly as he tried to recover his nerve.
He hated being so weak. His mother wouldn’t have flown right into a flock of birds, and even if she had, it wouldn’t have phased her at all. He’d seen her fly through three concrete walls without mussing up her hair. All his old classmates from the Sky Academy would have laughed their heads off if they could have seen him now. Just as they’d always done whenever he’d screwed up.
He was too super to be ordinary, in fairness. He could fly, however clumsily, and despite his weedy physique, he was stronger than the average human. But when compared to every other superhuman that he’d ever encountered, Adriel might as well have been ordinary.
It might not have been so bad if it wasn’t for his family. Hailing from the planet Valoncar in the Altaro galaxy, they had travelled to Earth as diplomats and instructors. The primitive people of Earth had hailed them as heroes and heroines instead, sometimes even as gods. Eventually, as the people of Earth grew accustomed to intergalactic cultures, the Valoncarians took up the mantle of protectors instead.
Thus, Adriel had always grown up knowing what a legacy he had inherited. Three of his ancestors had been the Dean of the Sky Academy, where all heroes and heroines were educated and trained on Earth. His great-grandfather had led the charge against the Vo’hox Federation when they tried to conquer the Milky Way. His uncle Salath had been known as the legendary Mega Hero, especially after he had sacrificed himself to stop Tomar the Terrible, a galactic terrorist who’d tried to harness the Sun into a superweapon.
His mother was still considered the foremost of Earth’s defenders. In the Valoncar tradition, she only bore one name - Euodia - but most people knew her as Mega Shero. She was indestructible, boundlessly strong, effortlessly fast, agile and acrobatic… there was seemingly nothing she couldn’t do. And despite the obnoxious lameness of her superheroine name, she fully embraced it, and was never afraid to stand for feminism and progressive idealism across the world. Love her or hate her, there wasn’t a single country on Earth where she wasn’t recognised, or desired.
Adriel had spent his life being smothered by her mere shadow. The world had expected great things from him as soon as he’d been born, and he’d never managed to match anyone’s expectations. He’d finished at the bottom of his class in the Sky Academy, a laughingstock amongst his peers, a source of disappointment to his instructors, and an embarrassment to his family line.
Still, his mother refused to give up on him. She refused to see his failings for what they were. She was never ashamed to bring him up in public, and always refuted the rumours that he was a failure. That was in public, of course; behind closed doors, she was relentless in driving him to becoming the hero he was supposed to be.
Now he got back to his feet, shivering slightly from the chilly breeze. His long cape whipped about him as he turned this way and that.
In the tradition of his family, he was garbed in a material which was native to his family’s home planet, which was most similar to Earth’s spandex, at least in appearance. His superhero outfit was supposedly unisex, but even that was too feminine in Adriel’s eyes. It consisted of a dazzlingly silver leotard which left his arms and legs bare, with Valoncarian runes emblazoned all across the front in three lines of dark gold.
The effect was meant to be brazen, to show off the lack of armour, as well as the physique which these heroes boasted. That was all fine and good for the rest, but Adriel had always been lean and slight. No amount of working out had ever given him the muscle mass which he’d so desperately craved. Moreover, the leotard was especially uncomfortable between his legs; he was forever staving off a slight wedgie, while his junk never failed to form an awkward bulge.
Aside from the leotard, Adriel bore a bright scarlet cape, clasped at the front of his neck by a great golden brooch. His boots were porcelain-white, with gold eyelets, gold capping, and gold lace hooks.
Now that he’d landed somewhere, Adriel hesitated to start flying again. Instead, he stood out of sight on the building and brooded on his shortcomings. No matter how many times he flew, no matter how many times he tried to work out alongside his mother, he just couldn’t get close to her abilities.
Just that morning, he’d been in their gym, lifting weights alongside his mother. She had been dressed down in gym shorts and a sports bra, both of which were becoming slightly too small for her. Adriel blushed as he recalled the jabs she’d thrown at him, encouraging him with snide jokes to provoke more effort from him. What made him blush harder, though, was recalling how often he’d glanced at her sweaty body during his workout.
For the last thirty years, Mega Shero was the foremost heroine on Earth. She had celebrated her fiftieth year recently, but aside from a gain in weight and a lined face, she showed no other signs of aging. Her abilities had not diminished at all. She could effortlessly outlift her son, even though he was just twenty-one years old.
“Come on,” she’d shouted in exasperation while casually swinging the heaviest weights over her head. “I could lift as much as you when I was half your age! Your uncle could have spun you on his finger, weights and all!”
Adriel had been gasping for breath, trying to catch up to his mother’s reps, flushed with effort. At one point, his mother had dropped the weights, sighing in disappointment at his failure. Then she’d gone to the treadmill and begun sprinting as fast as the track allowed. Inevitably, Adriel had glanced at how his mother’s massive breasts bounced within the confines of her sports bra. No other garment had ever worked so hard as that bra, judging by the way it had stretched and strained to keep from Mega Shero’s K cups popping out.
Suddenly, an old reflex took hold of Adriel as he recalled the sight of his mother’s bouncing tits. Before he knew it, he was shoving a hand into the bottom of his leotard and pulling out his cock and balls. As embarrassing as it was to have a noticeable bulge in his costume, he was at least able to prove that his manhood wasn’t lacking. His cock was nearly eight inches long at full length, and his balls had an extraordinary recovery time. Compared with his skinny frame, his genitals’ proportions created an especially flattering effect.
While ordinary humans were always impressed by these extraordinary genitals, Adriel was only average when compared to superheroes and heroines. So while Adriel was no virgin, he’d never been popular with his peers. And he could certainly never expect to bag someone as beautiful and powerful as Mega Shero, with her bountiful breasts, her round, firm ass…
A groan left him as he thought furiously about that gym session. At one point during the treadmill, her bra had slid just enough to expose the very top of her large areolas. He’d had to turn his body away to hide his erection, ogling her body from a mirror instead.
The memory of it was too much to bear now. He moaned loudly as he spat several times on his gloved hand before running it up and down his cock. The cool air was barely noticeable now as he gave in to his impure thoughts.
It was his most shameful secret, this obsession with his mother. It humiliated him more than constantly walking in her shadow, constantly being reminded of what a letdown he was, constantly being treated like her precious little boy who couldn’t live up to the family. He had long ago lost count of those moments where he’d given his mother a second glance when she wasn’t aware, taking in the details of her incredible body and longing for more. He’d lost count of the times during his adolescence where he’d woken up with sticky sheets after dreaming of Mega Shero in all sorts of positions.
It was a ludicrous notion, but he often liked to imagine his mother in a position of defeat. There were supervillains out there, after all; why shouldn’t one of them be powerful enough to subdue the strongest heroine on the planet? How humiliating it would be for Mega Shero to be bested in combat! Maybe her invincible uniform would be torn asunder? Maybe she’d gasp in horror at being exposed, or maybe she’d be too busy fighting to notice or care.
He also imagined her captured, like he’d seen other heroes captured. It was often a thing, and his classmates at the Sky Academy weren’t exempt at all. He’d once seen the valedictorian of his year - a black homegrown heroine called Silver Shield - held as a hostage by a fearsome villain called Hecaton. He’d had several arms along his torso, which proved handy when he took hold of the young warrior woman and stripped the armour from her brawny body. She had wailed as her small, flat breasts were exposed, then her hairy cunt, unable to cover up because each of her limbs was held by two strong hands, splaying them apart for maximum exposure. Silver Shield had been reduced to a human shield whilst Hecaton had made his escape. Mega Shero had eventually arrived and foiled the villain, but the experience was so mortifying for Silver Shield that she had gone to ground for over two years before taking on a completely new superheroine identity.
Though he pretended otherwise, Adriel hadn’t felt especially sorry for Silver Shield. She had been one of his primary bullies at the Sky Academy, taking the greatest of pleasure in kicking his ass during sparring, then loudly recounting his defeats to her friends where he could hear it. It had been a treat to see karma hit her for once, and Adriel couldn’t help but imagine what his mother would look like in a similarly degrading position. Mega Shero herself often reminded Adriel of these defeats, even going so far as to invite members of his class over to dinner to ask them about their own accomplishments while he could only sit there and wish to evaporate on the spot.
What he’d wished even more would be to see his mother tied and gagged. Most bad guys loved nothing more than to humiliate defeated heroes and heroines whenever they got the chance. The media was divided in their reactions. Some had a radio silence rule on these stories, because it undermined the forces of good to have their embarrassments plastered across screens. Less scrupulous sites, meanwhile, were often visited to get pics or videos of bound and gagged heroines, often undressed to boot. Adriel had also visited those sites, and he knew that Mega Shero had never been featured on it, much to the gooners’ frustration.
He tried to picture it; Mega Shero strung up in a strict hogtie from a streetlight, dangling in mid-air. Maybe she’d have her uniform on, or maybe she’d be naked. Maybe she’d be gagged with an OTM gag, or a panel gag. Maybe she’d be splayed spread-eagle on the street for anyone to grope or take a selfie with. Would she be furiously cursing the bad guys? Would she be pleading passersby for help? Would she have her eyes shut, whimpering in shame as people pointed and laughed?
He cried out as semen suddenly burst from his long shaft. Thick, creamy gobs of cum splattered against the building’s roof, silvery in the sunlight. He stared at his mess, even as he made it worse with more pumps. He had always had a seemingly inexhaustible supply of seed, and a very quick recovery rate.
“Adriel!?”
A cry left Adriel’s throat as he turned around. His cock was still leaking cum as he retreated into the shadows.
Mega Shero was hovering in midair, looking this way and that. As always, her outfit was equal parts regal and arousing. Her breasts strained against the white leotard, her muscles bulged with the most minor of flexes, her dark brown hair and bright red cape waved wildly in the wind. Her strong voice echoed against the nearby buildings.
Hastily adjusting himself, Adriel wiped his hands on the inside of his cape before taking off. He felt even shakier post-orgasm, and he could only pray that his mother wouldn’t notice anything amiss.
“I’m here,” he called, trying to sound as casual as possible.
“There you are,” she exclaimed exasperatedly, talking down to her son as if he were still a boy. “Did you get lost again?”
“No,” Adriel answered quickly. “I was just… using the bathroom.”
“Oh, baby,” Mega Shero tut-tutted. “On a roof? Please tell me that you picked a building without a security camera.”
Adriel felt his insides freezing; he’d forgotten to check! “Sure, Mom,” he answered in what he hoped was a calm tone. “I know how to take care of myself.”
He felt like an idiot for saying that; who was he to feel so confident next to his mother? Standing seven feet tall, she was broad, muscular, but unmistakably feminine. She’d always had long dark-brown hair, deep olive skin, womanly hips, and a bountiful bosom; age had only enhanced these features.
With such a figure, it was even more humiliating for Adriel to be her son. He hadn’t reached six feet in height and he was half her weight, too. He wouldn’t have stood a second’s chance against her if they’d ever fought. He’d seen his mother punch through a concrete wall without mussing up her hair.
“Frankly,” Mega Shero mused, “I think you should stick with me on today’s patrol.”
“But Mom,” Adriel protested, “I was hoping to go on my own today. Is that all right?” He added that last question as he looked into his mom’s frowning face.
“Is it?” Mega Shero cocked her head to the side, folding her powerful arms just below her breasts. “How are you going to convince me if you can’t convince yourself?”
Stung, Adriel forced down his diffidence and uncertainty. “Look, I know what to do, alright? Just fucking leave me alone for once!”
Mega Shero’s eyebrows shot upwards; her full lips became a thin line. It was the face she made whenever some asshole thought he could try and bluff or intimidate her. Adriel felt a shudder go through him that had nothing to do with the wind or the altitude.
“Fine. I guess we’ll see how you do,” came her eventual reply. With that, she shot off eastwards, cape flapping wildly.
Sighing with relief, Adriel went westwards, flying far slower than his mother had done, as usual.
As he flew, he resumed wondering what he wanted his superhero name to be. Ever since his birth, he was known to the public as Mega Boy. He had always hated that moniker, but it had gotten ten times worse since he came of age. Before, it had been an affectionate reference to his youth and his family legacy. But now, it was used to demean him, to point out how childish he still appeared beside his mature super mom.
Coming up with a new name wouldn’t be easy, though. The public didn’t usually like renaming campaigns, especially if they didn't want one. And it was worse in his case; not only would they not want to get on board with a rebranding, they were openly expecting Mega Boy to try to change his identity. People on social media had already spent years coming up with humorous new names for Mega Boy, daring him to try and be known by anything else.
He was still thinking about the hopelessness of a better name when he noticed an increased chorus of police sirens.
Descending, Adriel could see five police cars driving along one street, then turning on another. He followed them in the air, until they stopped outside one of the city’s big banks.
By the time Adriel descended to the ground, the police had already set their cars up in a perimeter around the entrance. “Good work, officers!”
His attempt at a jovial greeting was unappreciated by the police. Not a single one so much as cracked a smile. One of them - a short Latina woman with a long ponytail - actually looked disappointed.
“Hello, Mega Boy,” she drawled as she approached him.
Adriel was just as disappointed to see this officer as she was to see him. Sgt. Velasquez had been present when Adriel’s attempt to stop a supervillain had resulted in his butt being thoroughly kicked. It was only thanks to the last-minute intervention of his mother that his first public attempt as a superhero wasn’t a complete disaster.
“Look, Sergeant,” Adriel began, “I’m here to help, if I can. What are we dealing with?”
“Robbers,” answered Sgt. Velasquez. “Humans only, at least so far. Feels like it’s in your range.”
Adriel was stung by the derisive remark, but he bit back any resentment. He had screwed up, he knew that, and he had to earn back goodwill. “If you have a plan, I’m happy to help it play out.” He hoped that his comment didn’t sound too deferential.
“They’ve got hostages,” came the laconic reply, “so unless you can move faster than a speeding bullet, I don’t want to gamble with people’s lives. We’re calling for a negotiator. Or another hero, if someone’s available.”
Adriel agreed with her caution, but he felt even more frustrated with his mediocre powers. He could have easily taken humans in a fight, especially since bullets didn’t penetrate his skin. But they could shoot the hostages before he was able to stop them.
“Well, I guess I’ll stand down,” Adriel muttered, “but maybe I can stick around? In case I can help.”
Based on the sergeant’s expression, she didn’t think much of that suggestion. Before she could say so, however, another officer suddenly called out.
“It’s Mega Shero!”
Stunned, Adriel turned around. His mother was striding towards the police cars, towering over every other person in the street. People cheered as she passed, and many others ogled her voluptuous curves.
Mega Shero swaggered along, accepting this praise and attention as her due. She had always been known for her supreme confidence in herself and her abilities. Many labeled her as arrogant, while others dismissed such criticism as petty and misogynistic.
“Hello, Sergeant,” Mega Shero declared as she casually made a heroic pose. Her scarlet cape flapped in the wind.
“Glad to have you here,” Sgt. Velasquez exclaimed with a smile as she saluted the heroine.
Adriel stepped forward. “Long time no see, Mom.” He couldn’t help feeling awkward, given how their last interaction had gone.
“Ohh, hi babe!” Mega Shero stepped forward and embraced him. Adriel turned red as his face was pushed into his mother’s deep cleavage.
Perhaps in an effort to distract himself from Mega Shero’s tits, his mind raced. Why was she being so friendly to him? Was it because they were in public? Was she being all affectionate to humiliate him in front of the cops? He couldn’t tell what was going on, and he was too nervous to question any part of it.
“So good to see you here too! Great instincts!” Mega Shero gushed as she patted the back of his head.
Adriel tried to ignore the chuckles of the people around him as he was finally released from the smothering embrace.
“Why don’t you come with me, hun?” Mega Shero declared. “I could use some backup.”
Adriel doubted that very much, and it was clear that Sgt Velasquez thought the same. Gritting his teeth, he only nodded.
“Good boy,” she declared. Much to his shock, she patted his bum with a gloved hand. Then she shifted her own bum, clearly inviting him to do the same.
There was already an awkward bulge in the front of his costume, and he prayed that it wasn’t getting bigger as he reached out and spanked one of her large buttocks.
“Come on, then,” Mega Shero urged. “Follow me!”
She strode towards the entrance, swaggering proudly as people continued to cheer her on. Adriel kept his eyes on his mother’s cape, wondering what the hell his mom was thinking.
She opened one of the doors and tossed her long dark hair. “Good afternoon, everyone. Let’s settle this peacefully!”
Adriel followed after, staring in amazement at the unfolding scene.
Five bank employees sat in chairs at the far end of the room; it was clear that they had been bound and gagged. Standing over them were two dangerous-looking men, brandishing weapons.
“Come on, boys,” Mega Shero called out cheekily. “You both know who I am, don’t you?”
The bank robbers didn’t answer. They simply held their guns in both hands, neither pointing them at the hostages or the two heroes in front of them.
“Let’s do this the easy way, hmm? That way you keep some dignity.” Mega Shero spread her arms, as if to emphasise her point.
“Fine,” one man grunted. He dropped his weapon and raised his arms. His partner did the same.
Adriel stared in amazement. This whole mess was being solved in an absurdly easy way.
Mega Shero smiled at the two would-be robbers as they slowly walked forward. She put her hands on their shoulders and walked between them. “Be sure to keep those masks on outside, boys. The press is here! Come on, Mega Boy, don’t want to miss your glory, do you?”
Adriel squirmed wretchedly as he trailed after his mother. He felt even more useless than before.
Sure enough, nobody looked at him or asked him a question. They surrounded Mega Shero and showered her with praise. The freed hostages thanked Mega Shero again and again.
Finally, she turned to Adriel and gave him a big smile. “Let’s go for a walk, baby.”
They headed down the city street, away from the police cars, past the crowd which had formed nearby. People continued to stare and take pictures, though, making Adriel feel nervous.
“Mom, can we just fly out of here?”
“Oh, but why? It’s been so long since we just took things slower. Come on, don’t be a sourpuss after your big day.”
“Mom, please don’t say that! This was your big day! No, it’s your usual day! And you know what, it was my usual day too!”
“Well,” Mega Shero answered softly, “I’m sorry that’s how you see it. I saw it as a chance to spend more time with my only son.”
Adriel had no words to say. His mouth opened and closed. He reached up and brushed brown strands from his face as he avoided his mother’s glance. “I didn’t mean it that way… I’m sorry…”
“No, I understand, son. This is uncomfortable for you. Spending time with your mother probably isn’t the way you imagined being a superhero.”
“Mom, that’s not true! I’ve always wanted to be like you! I want to be more like you! And… I hate that I’m not.”
Mega Shero turned and gave him a thoughtful glance. “That can’t have been easy to admit.”
It seemed a strange remark to Adriel, but he was too awkward to question her meaning.
They were walking down much quieter streets now, Adriel suddenly realized. “Mom, where are we going?”
“Just down here. There’s a safe house we can change in. I have a new mission and you need to go undercover.”
“Undercover?” Adriel frowned as he watched his mother go up to a warehouse and open the door.
He followed after her, entering a dark room. As he waited for her to turn on the lights, he spoke again. “Mom, how am I supposed to go undercover? Do you know how stupid that sounds?”
“Not as stupid as you.”
Something was very wrong. His mother never spoke like that. “Mom? What-“
Suddenly, a rag was stuffed over his mouth and nose. It was very sweet-smelling.
“Mmmmph!” He seized the hand which was trying to drug him. Meanwhile, another arm wrapped around his forearms, pinning them in place.
“You really thought I was your mother?”
It still felt like Mega Shero was attacking him, pinning him against her body, but that was not her voice. Adriel stared ahead of him, trying furiously to get free. “Hmmmph?! Hmlphmm mulmpjmmm!”
“Sweetie, don’t try to talk, just go to sleep.”
“Hmphhhmm mmpphmm!” Adriel tried screaming for help, and he tried to free himself from this imposter’s hold on him. But his struggles were in vain.
His brain was getting foggy, and his vision was darkening. His breathing was slowing, and his legs were losing strength. As his terrified mind finally crashed to a halt, he heard the imposter chuckling to herself as she held him firmly in place.
It was the last sound he heard before the world went completely dark.
