Chapter Text
Lucia stared up at Gwylan with a pleading look in her eyes. "For today's ritual…can't we..you know, do penetration?"
Gwylan nodded. "Alright dear, if that's what you want-"
"By the way, I'm not talking about the backdoor entrance. I mean the other one."
Gwylan looked down at her with surprise. "Pet, you know what will happen if you do that. I'm sorry, but I can't make you go through that."
The foxgirl scowled. "I don't care, I can handle the consequences of doing it there as an angel. Just fuck me already, would you?"
Gwylan shook his head with a sad look on his face. "I'm sorry, but I can't in good conscience do that for you. I can't bear to see your halo shatter like that..you..you should be able to maintain your purity." He softly stroked her head as she grumbled.
"Whatever, fine.. let's just do oral for today then." Lucia relented with a disappointed expression, as she spread her legs for him, ready to enact the ritual.
Gwylan nodded, before lowering his head down between her legs and begining to slowly lick.
-
A little while later, after the completion of the ritual, Lucia left the shop like normal with a wave goodbye, and Gwylan watched as she walked out the door, before going about his day. He hoped she'd be back at the shop to sleep tonight like she did most nights, but he also understood he could be busy at times, out scavenging for lost antiques or getting into her typical criminal mischief at the houses of rich people.
She wasn't back that night, but that's okay. He wondered what she was up to, and whether she was thinking of him as well.
She didn't return the following night either. Gwylan waited.
Nor the next.
Nor the next.
Nor the next.
Gwylan kept waiting, hoping, she'd come back to the shop. Did he upset her that much by refusing to take her virginity?
Gwylan kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, as the days flew by, and three weeks had passed since he had last seen her.
Gwylan kept staring at the door, hoping that any moment, she'd come into the shop through there, same as ever.
Then he smelled something. A familiar scent, that had appeared near the shop. But something was different about the smell. He smelled blood.
He frantically ran out the door, sprinting over to the source of the smell, praying that the blood wasn't Lucia's, until he spotted her.
She was stumbling through the forest with no shoes, a blank look on her face. Her legs and knees appeared to be covered in bruises and scrapes. Other than that, though..something seemed…different.
Her halo no longer shone so brightly above her head, her wings were no longer so white and pristine.
The sight of her cracked halo and the darkened feathers of her wings, made his heart sink. The sight was all he needed to know about what had happened.
Gwylan rushed over to her with worry in his eyes. "Dear, are you okay? Your halo and wings..you haven't been by the shop in weeks, and you're hurt..". He gently grasped her shoulders.
She stared at him with a blank expression, as Gwylan's worry only grew. "Kit, let's.. let's go back to the shop. I'll treat your wounds there.".
He grasped her hand in his, before turning back around to the shop, and beginning to lead her back home, as she listlessly followed behind him, her hand limp in his grip.
The pair entered the shop, and he led her through the building to his room. Gwylan gently guided her over to the bed. "Sit here, I'll be back with some medicine, alright?". The foxgirl didn't respond.
Gwylan left the room, and fetched some ointment and bandages, returning a few minutes later to find her curled up on the bed, huddled in a ball, and shaking.
Gwylan softly stroked her head. "Kit, can you sit up for me so I can apply the ointment?"
After a few moments, Lucia sat up, still shaking slightly.
Gwylan set the ointment and bandages down on the bed, before moving to take off her dress. Just as he began to lift it, she jolted away from him, the look on her face resembling a cornered, frightened beast.
Gwylan frowned, before reaching his hand out to stroke her head again. "It's okay, dear, I'm not going to hurt you. It's okay now." he soothed in a gentle voice. She seemed to become a bit less tense from his words and tone of voice, and slowly nodded.
"Good girl.". Gwylan patted her head one last time before once again taking his hands to her dress, and lifting it up off her and putting it next to her on the bed. His face darkened at the sight of the extra wounds on her that had been obscured by the dress, and continued to undress her for treatment.
He then unclasped her bra, setting it aside with her dress. "Dear, can you lay on your back and lift your legs for me?" he asked softly.
Lucia slowly did so, still refusing to speak. Once she was in the position, he grasped her underwear and pulled it off of her, putting it with the other clothes. "You're being so good, pet. Good girl.", he praised.
He then grabbed the ointment, and began to rub it onto her cuts and scrapes, making her flinch. "It's okay, dear, you're doing so well." he soothed, making her relax slightly.
Gwylan slowly applied the ointment to all the spots in need of it, before setting the ointment down and grabbing the bandages. He began to wrap the bandages around the places where ointment was applied, whispering gentle praises in her ear all the while to keep her calm.
Finally, he finished treating her wounds. Gwylan smiled softly down at her as she gazed up at him from the bed. "Thank you for letting me treat you, kit. I'll go grab you something to wear, okay?"
Gwylan walked over to a wardrobe, and pulled out a large olive button-down shirt. With the shirt in his hands, he walked back over to her. "Can you raise your arms for me?" he asked
Lucia raised her arms, seeming much calmer than when he had found her outside. Once her arms were raised, he pulled the shirt over her head, putting her arms through the shirt's sleeves.
"There you go, you're all bandaged and dressed. Does anything still hurt?". She shook her head. "I'm glad. Tell me the second anything starts hurting, alright?".
Gwylan sat down beside her on the bed, patting his lap. Lucia swiftly laid her head down there, wrapping her arms around him.
"Dear..can you tell me what happened? You were gone for so long, and then you came back like this..". She looked up at him, taking a moment to think, before nodding.
"I..I was out looking for wolfshrooms.", she muttered. "And that hunter….he found me out there. He…dragged me back to his cabin. He was mad about me running away before after I convinced him to let me leave before."
Gwylan's face darkened as Lucia began to speak in a trembling tone of voice. "He..didn't want me to run away again, so..he put me in a cage. And..he..kept forcing himself on me, and beating me when I resisted, and eventually.". She gestures to her broken halo. "This happened."
"I..I wanted to save myself for you, you know? I was hoping I could eventually convince you to take my virginity. But..I didn't get the chance." the foxgirl mumbled softly. Gwylan softly stroked her head.
Gwylan listened silently as she continued to speak. "I..I can't do it anymore. Everything.. everything out there is too scary. Everyone out there just wants to hurt me..". Tears began to form at the corners of her eyes as she spoke.
"I don't..I don't want to go back out there." she murmured softly.
Gwylan looked down at her. "You don't have to, dear. How about you stay here, with me? You wouldn't have to leave the shop. You don't have to go back out into that scary, frightening world.".
She looked up at him, meeting his eyes. "..okay.".
Gwylan smiled. "I'll protect you from the world you fear so much, pet. So go to sleep now, alright?".
At his command, the foxgirl's eyes began to slowly close, and she drifted off to sleep.
If his little kit was afraid of the world, all he had to do was make sure she didn't have to go back to it. He'd protect her in the shop from all the things she feared.
