Lycaon, being a canine thiren, knew something changed in the way Wise smelled. It was subtle, but Wolf Thirens are capable of smelling even the slightest changes in pheromones in people. Even more so than other canine thirens.
Wise would usually emit a type of pheromone that promotes calmness. Just like his personality. But now, it smelled of a foreign intensity. Something rough around the edges with an undertone of softness.
“Lycaon?” Said Wise, concerned eyes trained toward him.
“Ah, yes, Master?” Wise blinked at his response, figuring that something must have distracted him.
“What got you distracted?”
Lycaon says it's nothing and Wise lets it go despite his concern. They proceed to discuss their upcoming mission in the hollow once again.

Wise and Victoria Housekeeping Co. completed the commission smoothly.
They meet up at the café in Lumina Square to reconvene and to pass on Eous back to Wise.
The other scent is stronger now. Wise must've met that person again. It's clear that Wise is seeing someone.
Lycaon glances at Rina and they share a quick knowing look. Rina might not be a thiren but she's incredibly perceptive, must've picked up on other clues instead.
Wise picks up Eous and cradles them in his arms after their discussion.
He walks down from the seating area of the café.
Lycaon and Rina watch him go. Ellen is too busy napping while Corin notices where their leader's attention is. She glances at Wise as well.
As Wise walks, a tall man in a leather biker outfit starts walking beside him. Walking too close but Wise seems aware and doesn't mind it.
In fact, Wise smiles softly at him as they walk.
Corin asks, “Who's that with Wise?”
Lycaon coughs as a start but Rina answers, “He seems to be Wise's lover~”
Corin gasps while Ellen jolts awake. Both stare at them.
“W-Wise has a boyfriend?!”
Rina gushes about how adorable it is, but Lycaon coughs, “Yes, well, we must investigate that man to ensure he does not pose any danger to-”
“Oh please, you're being such a dad,” drawls Ellen. “He can handle himself.”
Flustered at the mention of being a “dad”, Lycaon sputters while Rina chuckles.
“She's right, Lycaon.”
Lycaon coughs and fixes his red cravat. He stays silent, but he did, in fact, investigate Wise's boyfriend in secret.
