‘They had all gathered at the lookout once more, exempting the time travelers and Piccolo since they still wished to chase down the androids. Despite the fact the Z-Fighters wished to assist most of them comprehended they weren’t strong enough to face the androids directly much less Imperfect Cell.
Although Kakarot hated to agree, despite the fact that Piccolo was definitely weaker then him at this point it was still concerning the ease Cell had with dealing with them earlier.
Yes the bio android got tired but considering the creature seemed to be growing more powerful the more he consumed the odds were already against them.
Kakarot couldn’t be certain he would win and that was the issue if the bio android had data like the time traveler said. Near death would only empower it, they needed to finish it all at once otherwise its slippery nature might just cause it to escape and grow more powerful.
They either needed to coordinate or get stronger outright and he had a genius idea.
“...so ya there’s a room up here called the Hyperbolic Time Chamber! It messes with time and a day out here is the equivalent of a year in there. Your body ages like normal and needs the same necessities however but considering we're in a time crunch it sounds like a good idea!” Kakarot said confidently he had been in the room before, never for a whole day but still he knew the effects considering Kami had warned him about it.
Oh ya Kami he almost forgot about him huh…he unhooked the trinkets from his neck and then aimed and threw them off the lookout.
“What are you doing exactly Kakarot?” Chichi asked, eyeing her husband suspiciously considering he just randomly did that.
“Nothing important Chii.” He said with a smile. “Though I call dibs on going first and I wanna go with Gohan!” He said innocently though Gohan flinched.
“How about you train with mom since you were worried about her earlier Dad?” It was the first thought that Gohan actually had, it was from an innocent place his dad was worried about mom’s fighting ability.
However Chi-Chi seemed to not like the idea very much. “Gohan, don't you want to work on Super Saiyan with your father?” Her voice was oddly shaky and she was messing with her hands. A whole year alone with Kakarot…she wouldn’t necessarily mind it if not for the fact that there were currently 4 separate androids after her husband’s life.
“I mean I can just train with Gosha and Goten for that!” He said with an innocent little smile, he didn’t mean any harm. He also wanted to train with her more after all they hardly trained together anymore but even he could sense the power gap there and wanted to lessen it! He also didn’t want his mom to get hurt.
“Ya he’s right Chii and besides you don’t like them fighting on their own right? Us training together would be good since you don’t want me getting hurt either right?” Kakarot almost purred out, giving her a look that to others probably looked normal but she knew what it meant and glared in return.
Using her words against her for his own nefarious purposes! “Fine!” She huffed. “But you better not try anything weird!” She said towards Kakarot.
“Of course not. Just training between me and you!” He said with an innocent smile.
She didn’t believe him but she did want to get stronger. She also didn’t want to be a widow again. But before she could say another word he picked her up and put her over his shoulder.
“Okay then we’ll be going now see ya!” Kakarot said with a smile.
“Love you Gohan see ya later!” Chi-Chi said with a soft maternal smile right before the door to the time chamber closed behind them. ‘
That was the last thing that was seen of them in ‘Love Can Certainly Change People’. Now their-
”LET ME DOWN RIGHT NOW KAKAROT!” Chi-Chi said angrily, hitting his chest, he wasn’t budging at all. He was still holding onto her, keeping her on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She doubted this was even a workout for him in any way!
“Calm down Chi-Chi I’ll let you down soon…I’ve been in this room before I just don’t want you getting lost!~” He purred.
Or running off or running away…
He wanted Chi-Chi in his sights at all times!
But he let out a sigh and finally put her down.
“There’s some facilities here not many though and if you go too far that way…” He said pointing towards the empty void. “....you will get lost just don’t go out of sight of the buildings and you should be fine!” He said with a smile.
Chi-Chi was just happy that she could actually feel the ground under her feet again. Though she did pay attention to his warnings. “What is in here?” She asked curiously.
“Well there’s only really two buildings in here, the one with the bed and the one with the food. The food doesn’t go bad and should last us a year even with my appetite." His smile turned ever so slightly mischievous. “Though if you can’t guess there’s only one bed so luckily we’re husband and wife-”
“You're sleeping on the floor.” She said coldly. She was still offended and knew the intent he had.
“WHAT DID I DO?!” He yelped, his tail standing straight up. He then looked at her with pleading eyes. “Please-”
“I want a simple answer to a question I’ve had since you so readily accepted going in here with me.” She said over him.

“What’s the question? Can’t a person change his mind Chi-Chi you know I’m prone to that.” He said with a slight chuckle
“No you typically aren’t.” She said coldly with a glare. Kakarot hardly changes his mind when it’s set on something unless something else comes into the picture, she’d been married to this man for too long to believe that lie.
“My question is simple, did you bring me in here just to have a year alone with me…?” She let the question linger and its implications.
Kakarot just acted like those implications flew right over his head. “Uh of course, a year of training would do us both some good.” He said naively
She just got angrier. He knew exactly what she meant. “Did you bring me in here because you wanted to….” Her cheeks grew flushed. She was about to say something very vulgar.”...fuck me with no interruptions?!” She said angrily
Kakarot was very shocked at her language but he also knew he had to comfort her and make her believe that was not the reason.
Because it obviously wasn’t the reason….
Why would that be the reason?
“Of course not!” He huffed, staring straight at her. “It’s because I need you.” He said softly, taking a hold of her hands.
Chi-Chi felt her face turn red. “Don’t try th-”
“You're one of my necessities in life. I don't think I would be able to live with myself if you got hurt because of me.” He said softly.
If she got hurt because of him, much less got killed because of something related to him the world would simply pay in blood.
Chi-Chi felt herself burning up and looked away from him. “You’ve made your po-”
“You help me regulate and not overdo things, I need you here Chi-Chi, I need to make sure we are both strong enough so we can protect each other and our kids…” He said with a soft smile.
Kami the sweetness was killing him. Not a single word was a lie but it felt criminal on his tongue. She made him unmercifully soft and he typically didn’t mind it but this time. It was killing him just a touch inside.
But then he felt the soft touch of her lips against his cheek. Which immediately pulled him out of his thoughts.
She was still bright red but she had forgiven him for now till his next stupid stunt. He just gave her a goofy smile.
I mean he successfully convinced her that fucking her wasn’t the goal. Despite the fact that was part of the goal, he also wanted her to get stronger. He was good at acting like a saint sometimes especially with Chi-Chi~

Their first day was mainly taken up by Chi-Chi’s curiosity. She looked over all the food to make sure it was good despite Kakarot knowing it was just fine. Combo that with her pretty much examining their bedroom like it was a mystery and that took up most of the first day.
“There’s an attached bathroom even with sanitary stuff, and there’s a closet too…” Chi-Chi said just looking up at the ceiling. They were both laying in bed. He was shirtless but she was still in her normal clothes.
“Are you really going to sleep like that?” He asked curiously he loved what she wore but the dress and the pants underneath seemed like a lot to sleep in.
“I have no change of clothes you don’t either but you're fine because you just love to walk around shirtless.” She said it with a slight flush on her face. She was used to it didn’t mean she liked it even remotely…at least she told herself that.
She was mainly bothered by it when he just randomly without reason walked around without a shirt especially if he went outside.
It just wasn’t dignified!
“I know you love it~” Kakarot teased her with a smile.
Which resulted in a pillow in his face and her turning away from him.
Though he could still tell from her ears that she was flustered~
