Chapter Text
Being drown in a public toilet must be at the top of the list of humiliating ways for a villain to die
------------------
It hurt.
It always hurts. No matter what he did it hurt. No position helped, standing, sitting, laying. No matter how he flexed or rolled his joints the deep ache never faded.
The chronic pain, the never-ending aching of nonexistent limbs, was White's fault due to his incompetence. The man couldn't hold a scalpel correctly, much less do even the most basic of sutures.
Bastard.
When the pain became truly intolerable he would retreat to the far corner of his mind for as long as possible where it was quiet but today the pain was truly intolerable and he couldn't sleep or retreat. The son of a bitches would shock him awake the moment they noticed him nodding off or going still through the camera lenses. Punishment for being disobedient. So bored, tired and more than a little depressed he's stuck walking circles around the lab, occasionally flipping the cameras off as he passes by and enduring a random shock from some bored underpaid security personnel. Which did nothing to help the pain or his fraying temper.
The main door to the lab slowly swung open, a door that was normally locked when staff wasn't there. He squinted at the dimly lit corridor beyond, expecting That bastard Leith but there was no one on the other side. Malfunction?
Take your revenge.
He looked up at the speaker. The Prototype. Logically there's no reason for it to help him.
The cameras are looping. They will not notice.
“Why are you helping me?”
Follow the lights.
For several long moments he stared at the camera, waiting for an explanation. When none came Sawyer stepped out into the dark hallway. Given the lateness of the hour the halls would be empty so it wasn’t like any one would see him. “It's not like I have anything better to do.”
Every once in a while an overhead light would flicker, guiding him in a certain direction though what lay at the end of this little impromptu journey. Whatever it was, it was better than walking around the lab.
Until he came to the men's restroom. “Really? Is this your idea of a joke Elliot ? This is beneath you-” His audios picked up a voice, muffled but familiar though the closed door. “Leith “ He hissed, screen flashing red. Snarling he slammed the door open, to anger to care about the state of the man's clothing or lack of.
The target of his rage was half way out of stall, eyes wide in shock, walkie talkie in one hand. “How the hell did you get out?!”
“Wouldn't you like to know?” He was moving before Leith could reach for the stun baton hanging off his belt. They collided and went to the floor in a tangle of limbs, the walkie talkie clattering to the floor. Surprising Leith had a lot of fight in him, Harley was willing to give that much to that bastard. Unlike that spineless toad White, Leith was grabbing at anything he could. Fingernails digging into the thick plastic wires of his neck and clawed at his casing.
“You are a dead man Leith!” He snarled, grabbing the one hand that was frantically scrambling for the stun button, metal fingers crushing the fragile human ones. The cry of pain was music to audios.
Lurching to his feet he grabbed a handful of hair, wrenched the man to his knees then dragged him to the nearest stall.
“What are you doing? Stop this at once!” Fear etched his face while he tried to pull free, scalp blazing from the grip.
“How does it feel to be the one humiliated, Leith?”
“Harley!”
“Now it's Harley and not the Doctor or 1354?” He snarled then thrust the man's face into the putrid toilet bowl. Predictably the man thrashed about, hands banging on the tile floor and walls of the stall while frantically fighting for air. Something dark uncoiled inside of him and he found himself greatly enjoying how Leith writhed around.
He jerked Leith’s head up just long enough to let him suck in a few ragged gasps of air, damp skin shining in the light of his screen. “I'm going to pay you back for all the pain and humiliation you have forced upon me!” With that he forced the man's head back down just long enough for to feel as if his lungs were burning from a lack of oxygen. Only then did he yank the man's head up and let him suck in ragged lungful's of air, coughing and gagging.
“You'll…pay for this Harley!”
“I've heard that before. It's not like they will have proof it was me, Leith. The cameras are looping. Far as those underpaid twists are concerned I'm still locked up in the lab. No one is coming to your rescue.” He laughed then rammed Leith's head into the toilet after taking a moment to savor the look of shock and fear.
More violent thrashing, bubbles frothing from the bowl.
Again he pulled the man's head up, letting him gasp for air. “ T-the Maze….” He spluttered.
Harley rolled his eye. “Do you not think I haven't learned to hide things? They already know about my numerous fantasies involving very creative ways to kill you.”
Fear coiled deep in his gut. No one would be coming. He was going to drown in a fucking toilet and Sawyer was going to get away with it. “I'm going to make you suffer for this…I will personally see to it.” Leith ground out through clenched jaws. With numb cold fingers he struggled to press the button on the wrist band he wore that would alert the guards. He could only hope they would arrive in time.
“Again, I've heard it all before.” He was about to continue drowning the man he despised when the door burst open. Snarling he released Leith and stood to his full height, looming over the guards. They hesitated. Foolish thing to do.
The nearest one became air born, thrown across the room with ease. The man hit the wall with a meaty thud and slid limply to the floor and did not get up.
Taking advantage of the distraction Leith surged to his feet, light headed from the lack of oxygen and furious at being so completely and utterly humiliated. Jaw tightly set he picked up the stun button and rammed it into Harry's back, fingers pressing down hard on the button.
Sawyer screamed, joints locking as electricity surged through him, spine bowing. The remaining guards took advantage of his temporary paralyzation. More agony ripped across his circuits, blazing fire along artificial nerves. His screen filled with static while his consciousness mercifully fled, body going limp and thunking heavily to the floor.
Leith snarled and kicked the still body a few times before straightening his clothing made damp from the dunking. “How the fuck did he get out!” he roared.
To their credit neither guard flinched, their faces impassive. “We don’t know Mr. Pierre.”
“Once you find out who let him out I want to know so I can deal with them.” He coughed painfully, breath coming in shallow ragged breaths. “You are going to pay dearly for this Harley. Drag this, “ He motioned to the unconscious doctor,” to the surgical suit.”
“We'll see that no one disturbs you Mr. Pierre.” The guards took a hold of the unconscious doctor and slowly began dragging him away.
