The heavy, humid air of Yunmeng hung thick over Lotus Pier, carrying the sweet scent of lotus petals and the freshness of the lake. It was a late hour, the sky a deep blue, the darkness broken only by the cold, distant flicker of stars, that reflected off the calm ripples of the water.
Jiang Cheng walked the wooden piers alone, his boots thudding with a quiet, dull resonance against the timber. His posture was rigid, the purple silks of his sect robes rustling faintly against his legs, while his hand rested lightly on the hilt of Sandu.
As he neared the guest room, a secluded structure built out over the water where the lotus flowers clustered thickest, the soft, rhythmic croaking of frogs was suddenly cut through by a sharp, broken sound.
Jiang Cheng froze, his jaw tightening instantly.
It was a scream, loud and unrestrained, echoing off the wooden walls and the water below. It was followed quickly by a voice that he had known since childhood, now high and breathless.
“No! Please!”
The words were a desperate, broken cry that sent a jolt of cold fear through Jiang Cheng and he didn't hesitate. His heart hammered against his ribs as worry surged up in him, unbidden and fierce.
In an instant, the air crackled with a sudden, violent energy. A spark of light hissed at his hand as Zidian hummed to life, the ring expanding into a whip of snapping purple lightning that cast long, rippling shadows against the wooden pillars. The electricity hissed against the damp air, reflecting in Jiang Cheng’s wide eyes, as he moved with a rushed, worried speed, his footsteps silent as he reached the lattice window. It was slightly ajar, the sheer inner curtains swaying faintly in the breeze.
Jiang Cheng gripped the edge of the window frame, his knuckles whitening as Zidian sparked dangerously close to the wood, and he peered through the gap into the dim room.
The flickering candlelight inside the room cast long, dancing shadows against the silk hangings, but the sight beyond the lattice window was clear enough to make Jiang Cheng’s breath stall in his lungs.
Wei Wuxian lay on his back, his pale skin flushed a deep, feverish pink against the dark mess of his discarded robes. His legs were spread wide, while Lan Wangji hovered above him, the candlelight catching on his elegant, slender body. He was stripped of his usual pristine layers, his long, dark hair spilling over his bare shoulders as he pinned Wei Wuxian’s arms firmly above his head, his fingers curled around his wrists.
Wei Wuxian’s head tossed back against the pillow, his body writhing in a frantic, wild struggle against the silk sheets as Lan Wangji's thick cock drove into him with a slow, firm strength.
“No, stop! It’s too much, Lan Zhan!” Wei Wuxian gasped, his voice breaking into a ragged, desperate cry that echoed against the wooden walls. “I can’t... I can't take it all!”
Jiang Cheng stood frozen, the purple lightning of Zidian hissing and spitting at his side, the smell of burnt air mingling with the heavy scent of lotus. His eyes were wide, fixed on the sight of his brother’s naked body.
At the sound of the plea, Lan Wangji’s movement faltered. He slowed, his chest heaving as he stared down at Wei Wuxian with a gaze that was intensely focused. He released Wei Wuxian’s wrists, his hands sliding down to stroke along his face, his thumbs brushing over the damp, tear-streaked skin of his cheekbones.
“Wei Ying,” Lan Wangji’s voice was low, thick with concern. “Am I too rough?”
Wei Wuxian’s eyes were wide, shimmering with a wild, dazed heat. A sudden, crooked smile pulled at his lips, the mischievous glint returning even through the haze of his arousal. He reached up, his fingers curling into Lan Wangji’s forearms, pulling him back down toward him.
“No,” Wei Wuxian breathed, his voice a frantic, panting whisper. “You are perfect, Lan Zhan. It feels so good... please, take me harder. I want to feel you deep in my belly.”
Lan Wangji’s jaw tightened, a sharp line of tension appearing along his neck before he pushed his hips forward again, his thrusts turning heavy and relentless.
Wei Wuxian’s breath hitched into a high, broken cry, his lower belly bulging slightly where Lan Wangji was buried deep inside him.
Wei Wuxian’s hand drifted downward, his fingers trembling as he pressed them against the slight, rounded curve of his own belly.
“If you pound me so deep,” Wei Wuxian panted, his eyes shimmering with arousal as his body shook with the heavy thrusts, “you’ll definitely make me pregnant, Lan Zhan...”
Lan Wangji raised his own hand, his long fingers spreading over Wei Wuxian’s belly to touch the bulge he was creating from within, as his thick cock pushed deeply into Wei Wuxian.
Between them, Wei Wuxian’s erection, slick and leaking with pre-cum, slapped wetly against their joined hands over the bulge with every heavy, rhythmic thrust.
“I want to have your baby, Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian moaned, his voice rising in a desperate, pleading wail as he clung to his husband’s shoulders. “I want my belly to be full... and heavy... with your baby.”
Outside the window, the purple light of Zidian flickered and vanished as Jiang Cheng’s hand fell limply at his side, his face pale with a shock that rooted him to the spot.
Wei Wuxian’s head thrashed against the pillow, a breathless, airy laugh catching in his throat even as his body was jolted by the force of Lan Wangji’s movements.
“Ah, no... you are so rough, Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian managed to gasp out, his voice a heady mix of mock-protest and genuine delight.
With a sudden movement, Wei Wuxian threw his arms up above his head, the pale skin of his forearms exposed to the dim light.
Lan Wangji lunged forward, his hands tightening around Wei Wuxian’s wrists and pinning them firmly back into the sheets.
Wei Wuxian began to writhe beneath him, his shoulders twisting as if he was trying to break free, yet his hips betrayed him, arching upward with a desperate, hungry rhythm to meet every one of Lan Wangji’s deep, heavy thrusts.
The friction of their bodies was loud in the quiet room, a wet, rhythmic slapping that mingled with Wei Wuxian's moans.
“Hanguang-Jun is so strong,” Wei Wuxian teased, his voice dropping into a lustful, shaky drawl as he stared up at his husband above him. “Yiling Laozu is utterly defeated... truly at your mercy...”
He let out a loud, unrestrained moan, the sound echoing off the wooden walls and spilling out into the humid night air, followed by a joyful, melodic laughter.
Outside the window, Jiang Cheng felt the heat rush to his face, a deep, burning crimson that stained his cheeks and the tips of his ears. His breath came in a sharp, indignant hiss. The sight of Wei Wuxian, acting so utterly debased at the hands of the Second Jade of Lan was more than his pride could take. His fingers curled into a white-knuckled fist at his side, the ring of Zidian flashing for a heartbeat with a crackling light.
“Shameless,” Jiang Cheng muttered under his breath, his voice thick with a mix of fury and profound embarrassment. “Absolutely shameless.”
He spun on his heel, his purple robes swirling behind him as he turned his back on the window. He began to hurry away, his boots thudding a frantic rhythm against the wooden pier, but no matter how fast he walked, the sounds followed him.
Wei Wuxian’s moans, loud and lustful, continued to ripple across the surface of the lake, echoing through the lotus blossoms and chasing him all the way back to the main halls of Lotus Pier.
Inside the guest room, the air had grown stiflingly hot, saturated with the scent of sandalwood and the heat of their joined bodies.
Lan Wangji’s composure fractured as his forehead rested against Wei Wuxian’s, his breathing coming in harsh, jagged pulls that mirrored the relentless speed of his hips.
Wei Wuxian was a frantic mess of movement beneath him. His wrists were still pinned, his fingers splayed wide against the silk sheets as he pushed back against Lan Wangji’s weight.
Every time Lan Wangji drove into him, filling and stretching him deeply, Wei Wuxian’s belly bulged and a high, keening sound escaped his throat.
“Lan Zhan... Lan Zhan, wait-” Wei Wuxian’s voice was breathless, his eyes blown wide with arousal. “I’m going to... I’m going to break...”
But he didn't pull away. Instead, he hooked his legs higher around Lan Wangji’s waist, crossing his ankles behind the small of his husband's back, pulling him even deeper.
Wei Wuxian watched with a dazed pride as Lan Wangji’s pale throat worked with a heavy swallow, the muscles of his arms tense and straining.
“Wei Ying,” Lan Wangji groaned, the sound vibrating through both their chests.
He let go of one of Wei Wuxian’s wrists, his hand sliding down to cover the warm, distended curve of Wei Wuxian’s belly again. He pressed his palm there, feeling the internal pressure of his own hard cock through the pale skin.
Wei Wuxian let out a strangled cry at the dual sensation, his head lolling to the side.
“Yes... right there,” Wei Wuxian sobbed out, his hips twitching with small, uncontrolled circles. “Fill me up, Lan Zhan... give it all to me. I want to feel how heavy you can make me.”
The slap of their skin grew more frantic, more desperate.
Wei Wuxian’s erection was slick and dripping, smearing across his skin, as he pushed his hips wildly into Lan Wangji's thrusts.
Lan Wangji’s fingers curled around Wei Wuxian's cock, stroking it with a firm, relentless rhythm that matched the pace of his thrusts as he buried himself to the hilt with each push.
Wei Wuxian's eyes were wide, his pupils large and dilated as he reached out, pressing against the rounded bulge of his lower belly. He felt the shape of his husband's thick cock, as Lan Wangji drove deep into him, over and over again.
"Lan Zhan!"
The name was a shattered plea as Lan Wangji’s thumb swiped over the leaking tip of his member and Wei Wuxian’s body went rigid.
Wei Wuxian’s back arched off the bed, his chest heaving as a long, echoing wail tore from his lips, his body shuddering violently as waves of pleasure crashed over him and he came, his release spilling between them.
Lan Wangji didn't stop, his jaw tight, his eyes glowing with arousal as he watched Wei Wuxian trembling beneath him with aftershocks. He pushed deep, his hips surging forward with powerful, deep thrusts that seemed to reach Wei Wuxian’s very core.
A few seconds later, Lan Wangji stiffened, a low, guttural sound erupting from deep in his throat as he finally let go, his own warm cum spilling deep inside Wei Wuxian, filling him until his belly swelled slightly rounder, feeling heavy and tight beneath his own pressing fingers.
Heavy and thick silence followed, broken only by the sound of their ragged gasps and the distant rippling of the lake outside.
Lan Wangji collapsed forward, burying his face in the crook of Wei Wuxian’s neck, as he pinned him into the soft silks, his body still trembling with his orgasm.
Wei Wuxian's breath came in shallow, dazed puffs, while his hand still rested on the rounded bulge of his belly, feeling the fading pulses of Lan Wangji’s release within him. A slow, tired, and utterly satisfied smile spread across his face, before he let out a shaky, cheerful laugh, his hand coming up to stroke through Lan Wangji’s damp hair.
“I can't wait,” Wei Wuxian whispered, his voice soft and affectionate, “for you to fill me up again tomorrow, Lan Zhan.”
Morning mist drifted low over the lake at Lotus Pier, thin and pale where the first sunlight began to touch the water. The lotus leaves stirred softly in the breeze, their wide green surfaces catching droplets of dew that slid into the lake with faint, quiet taps.
The pavilion at the end of the wooden pier was empty except for one person.
Jiang Cheng sat alone at the low table, a bowl of congee cooling slowly in front of him. Steam curled faintly from its surface, while Jiang Cheng's gaze lingered on the lake, his spoon resting loosely in his hand, unmoving.
His mind kept circling back, uninvited and extremely unwelcome to the events of the previous night and his jaw tightened as he shoved a spoonful of congee into his mouth with unnecessary force.
Across the lake, a crane lifted lazily from the reeds, wings flapping through the cool morning air as the sound of footsteps approached along the wooden pier.
Jiang Cheng’s spoon paused midair as a familiar voice drifted across the quiet water, bright and cheerful, while the wooden planks of the pier creaked softly under the steady, unhurried footsteps, as they drew closer to the pavilion.
Jiang Cheng stared down into his bowl and a moment later, he heard the familiar rustle of robes, the black and red silk swaying lightly in front of him.
“Jiang Cheng,” Wei Wuxian said, his voice bright with surprise. “You’re up early.”
“I could say the same,” Jiang Cheng said flatly, as he raised his head.
Wei Wuxian looked cheerful, his eyes bright with joy, the red ribbon in his tied up hair swaying lightly in the breeze.
Behind him, Lan Wangji followed at a measured pace, his light blue robes pristine, his face calm, though his eyes lingered on Wei Wuxian with a soft intensity, before he inclined his head toward Jiang Cheng in greeting.
“Jiang Wanyin.”
Jiang Cheng gave the briefest nod in return.
"Lan Wangji."
Wei Ying dropped comfortably onto a cushion opposite Jiang Cheng, stretching his arms above his head with an exaggerated groan.
“Ah- my back. I am a bit sore this morning,” Wei Wuxian complained lightly, rolling his shoulders. “Lan Zhan, you’ll have to give me a rub later, your hands are so strong."
Lan Wangji sat down beside him, his movements graceful and silent, as he nodded and hummed in agreement, while Jiang Cheng’s spoon struck the side of his bowl with a sharp clink.
Lan Wangji reached for the teapot sitting between them and calmly poured tea into a cup before placing it in front of Wei Wuxian.
“See, Jiang Cheng?” Wei Wuxian said as he grinned. “Lan Zhan takes such good care of me.” He reached for a steamed bun with a cheerful smile and as he began to chew, he leaned forward on the low table, propping himself up on his elbows.
"Wei Wuxian," Jiang Cheng hissed, his voice trembling as his hand tightened around his spoon, a deep flush spreading across his face. "Sit up properly and stop eating with your hands. Have you forgotten how to use chopsticks?"
Wei Wuxian blinked and for a heartbeat, his bright expression faltered. The playful light in his eyes dimmed, replaced by a flicker of genuine, wounded confusion. He pulled his arms back from the table, his shoulders drawing inward a fraction.
“Jiang Cheng,” he said softly, his voice losing its teasing edge. “Why are you so grumpy? Did you not sleep well last night?”
The silence stretched heavy between them and seeing the hurt on Wei Wuxian’s face, Jiang Cheng felt a sharp pang of guilt, but it was quickly smothered by the vivid memory of what he saw through the window.
Wei Wuxian’s eyes searched his face and for just a moment, hurt flickered in his gaze, quick and unguarded, before it was gone and Wei Wuxian laughed, bright and easy again, waving a hand as if the thought had already been dismissed.
“Never mind, never mind!" He said, regaining his grin. "It must have been the frogs.”
“The frogs?” Jiang Cheng echoed flatly.
“Yes!” Wei Wuxian leaned forward, looking cheerfully at Jiang Cheng. “They were quite loud last night. Croaking all night long. Even I woke up once or twice,” he added before he stuffed the remaining bun into his mouth.
Wei Wuxian chewed silently, as he watched the lake thoughtfully, before he swallowed and turned back to Jiang Cheng.
“We should take a boat out onto the lake later," Wei Wuxian said, his eyes shimmering brightly in the light. "We’ll gather fresh lotus seeds. We can see who can peel them the fastest. That'll cheer you up, Jiang Cheng!”
Jiang Cheng stared at him before his gaze flicked to Lan Wangji, who was watching Wei Wuxian with an expression of such profound, quiet devotion that it made Jiang Cheng’s stomach turn all over again. He looked back at Wei Wuxian, his expression souring into a familiar, defensive scowl.
“Gathering lotus seeds?” Jiang Cheng grumbled, his voice low as he stabbed the spoon back into his congee. “Hmph. That wouldn't cheer me up. It would only cheer you up. You are so lazy, you just want someone to row the boat while you stuff your face.”
Wei Wuxian laughed, warm and joyful.
“Well, maybe! But Lan Zhan loves lotus seeds too,” he added, his eyes bright with a cheerful smile.
Lan Wangji set his teacup down with a soft clink.
“Mn,” he replied, his voice a deep, resonant hum, as he raised his eyes to Wei Wuxian, his gaze soft and adoring.
Wei Wuxian’s eyes shimmered with a playful light. He leaned forward again and sprawled across the low table, his chin resting in his palm as he looked sideways at Lan Wangji.
"Actually, Jiang Cheng," Wei Wuxian said softly. "Now that I think about it... I really do want to stuff my face later."
He didn't look away from his husband. His gaze travelled slowly over Lan Wangji’s steady hands, then up to his mouth, before Wei Wuxian’s tongue darted out, slowly and suggestively licking his own lower lip. The look in his eyes was hungry and lustful and Jiang Cheng choked violently on a mouthful of congee, coughing and gasping for air.
"You-! Shameless-!" Jiang Cheng gasped, as he wiped his mouth, pushing the bowl away from himself.
Lan Wangji remained elegantly still as he slowly raised his teacup, the steam curling around his cheeks. As he took a slow, composed sip, his eyes met Wei Wuxian’s over the rim of the porcelain and a small, barely perceptible smile touched the corners of his lips.
