Work Text:
The first time it happened, it was only some light teasing from Sherry. She had a hunch that you had a thing for Leon ever since your first day at the DSO.
“You know, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Leon look less focused on a gun than you are on him right now,” the blonde teased as she sipped on her coffee.
You jumped in-place, quickly turning to face your friend. “Wha—what?! Shut it, Sherry. I wasn’t staring…”
You so were. You had been eyeing Leon the second he walked into the office; strutting around in his signature navy blue quarter-zip, getting papers printing in the corner by the water fountain. He looked so tired, yet so beautiful. His ass was a bonus.
“You know, I heard that the higher ups were thinking of sending him on this undercover mission where he has to be some kinda married man. Maybe I could slip in a good word so you get to play the role of his wife.”
You blushed, staring at her. “You’re just being cruel at this point.”
Sherry shook her head. “All I’m saying is that you both are very capable agents, and I think you’d look cute together. Besides, I think it’d be kinda funny watching two people who haven’t had a love life in years stumble around each other.”
“Teasing aside, what’s the mission about?”
“Retrieving some intel, I think. You’d have to ask Leon more about it.”
“I can barely talk to him without stumbling over my words. Even if it’s for work.”
“Speak of the devil.”
Your eyes widened as you turned around to see a tired and disheveled Leon coming into the break room, eyebags deeper than usual.
“Good morning, ladies,” Leon grumbled, moving past you to make a cup of coffee for himself.
“Morning, Leon,” Sherry chimed, jumping down from the counter and tapping you on the shoulder with a wink. “I should get back to work. She had something to ask you, by the way.”
The older man’s gaze left Sherry’s before looking down at you. “Did you, now? Is something wrong?”
You gulped. “Uh—Um… just uh—” you fiddled with your thumbs. “You… I heard you got assigned to a mission about collecting some intel.”
Leon raised an eyebrow as the coffee started to drip into his mug. “Sherry?”
You nodded. “I understand if you can’t tell me anything, but I would be interested in knowing more?”
He sighed, crossing his arms as he leaned against the counter. “They want to assign me with someone else to play the role of my wife. Supposedly, the target only throws parties for married couples. I have until the end of the week to recommend someone personally or else they’ll do it for me.”
“And… have you found anyone?”
He shook his head. “I wouldn’t know who to ask. I don’t think anyone’s really jumping at the opportunity to play the role of a married woman.”
“You’re joking, right?”
“Joking?”
“I don’t know… I thought most people would love that role.” You quickly tried fixing your words. “T—To go to some fancy ball and dress up, I mean! Hahahaha…”
“Depends on the person, I’m sure,” Leon shrugged as he picked up his, now filled, mug. “Why? Do you know someone? Or… are you interested?”
Your eyes widened again. “Wouldn’t someone older be better equipped for the job?”
“Older? I thought you were in your 30s.”
“Aren’t you almost 50…”
Leon let out a huff of a laugh. “Touche. If you are interested, though, just let me know by Friday morning. I’ve seen you fight before. Not too shabby.”
“I’m a rookie compared to you…”
“Don’t sell yourself short. You’re plenty strong,” Leon nodded, patting you on the shoulder firmly before leaving the break room.
Right before Leon turned the corner, you called out to him. “Wait! I’ll take it—your offer.”
He smiled and nodded in acknowledgement. “I’ll let the boss know.”
You stared at the silver bands in the box in front of you and Leon. You knew that you were supposed to play the part of a married couple, but it just hit you that you’d be playing the part of his wife. Leon S. Kennedy; arguably one of the most sought-after bachelors at the DSO. Most of the women at the office were either already married or weren’t into men, but that didn’t mean that word didn’t spread like wildfire whenever he made his appearance.
“When’d they get my ring size…” you muttered, rubbing your arm.
Leon shrugged, closing the door to his office before making his way back to you. “Must’ve been on file somewhere.” He was the first to take his band out of the ring box, slipping it onto his left ring finger, making sure his back was turned so you wouldn’t have to see the dark splotches crawling over and across his veins. It fit nicely, if you ignored the growing infection. “Want me to put the ring on you?” he asked, turning back around.
You shook your hand, quickly swiping up the piece of jewelry from the box and inserted it onto your ring finger as well.
“So… are they also providing us with costumes or… anything like that?”
“The only information they gave us was that it was a formal event, so any dress or suit should work fine. We can also use our real names; it’s been confirmed that our guy hasn’t heard of DSO or anything like that.”
“So we’d be going as… Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy?”
“I’d assume so. Tickets and location information are in that folder.”
You and Leon were looking for some guy named Arturo Mitrea; the information he withheld was pertinent for heading into the right direction with finding a cure for the T-Virus, once and for all. Within hours, the two of you were whisked away in Leon’s Porsche wearing your best formal attire; him in a classic black suit and tie, still wearing the same gloves you’d seen him wear day-in-and-day-out at the office. It almost felt surreal that you were in such close-contact with your work-crush, nevermind playing the role of his wife.
“You nervous? You’ve been bouncing that leg for a while now,” he commented, glancing at your legs before turning his attention back to the road. The party was to be held at some hotel at the edge of the city.
“Just a force of habit. Sorry.”
Leon made a right, pulling up to the gates. He flashed the guard your pair of tickets before they let you two in, allowing him to park in the small lot by the entrance. The hotel stood proud and tall, all the lights on the ground level, assumingly for the party. Leon turned off the car and got out, but not before opening your door for you. You weren’t sure if it was because he was supposed to play the part of a husband or was just trying to be nice. After mumbling a thanks, the two of you made your way up to the entrance, which was being guarded by another couple of guys.
“Tickets and names?”
Your mission partner held up the tickets again and told the guards your guys’ names, letting the two of you enter the hotel within seconds. He stuck out his arm for you to hold onto; you obliged as you stepped foot into the lobby. It was decorated from head-to-toe with extravagant decorations and delicious looking—and smelling—food.
“Where should we start?” you asked, looking around the lobby; couples all around were chatting away and some were already eating the food and drinking what looked to be wine.
“I don’t know about you, Mrs. Kennedy, but I could really use a bite or two. I haven’t really had much to eat or drink since this morning.”
Mrs. Kennedy.
Even just the mere utterance of that codename made your cheeks flourish in color.
No. Stop. Focus.
“Right then. You can go ahead and eat, but I’m gonna look around. See if I can get a head start. Maybe even bump into the host,” you pat Leon on the shoulder to which he gave you a nod and then set you on your merry way.
You took this time to peruse the hotel and your surroundings; you figured it could be of use in the plausible future, if something were to happen. Most of the suites were void of any people as majority of the guests were either down in the lobby or banquet hall, but that didn’t stop some of the couples from sneaking off into a bedroom or hallway to snog. Looking down at your watch, barely twenty minutes had passed since you and Leon had arrived. You wondered how things were going on his end. He said that he’d be getting something to eat first.
Hmm… that made you wonder if there was anything noteworthy happening down in the kitchens.
As you were about to make your way down a hallway that led to the kitchens, according to a sign on the wall, you overheard a conversation happening in a nearby room; the door being opened just a crack. How convenient.
“And you’re sure that no one knows that we’re doing this?” a gruff voice whispered from inside the room.
Another voice, more feminine, reassured the other party. “If you’re so anxious about it, maybe we should just call it off.”
“No—no. I’m sure I want to go through with this. I didn’t call you all the way out here for nothing, now, right?”
You tried to peek more into the conference room; right there, being held down in an office chair was the host himself—Arturo Mitrea—with a beautiful woman in a burgundy knee-slit dress, her fist wrapped around his tie.
What the fuck was going on here exactly…
“Good. Well then…” the woman tightened her grip around him before leaning in closer, letting her bare knee slide closer to Mitrea’s crotch. “This doing something for you?” she then turned her attention to someone else. There was someone else in the room?
“Fuck… yeah, it is,” the voice practically groaned out.
You couldn’t see much from your position; only a shadow moving about on the other side of the room. Was…
Your thoughts were soon cut off as a bigger presence suddenly shadowed over your crouched form.
“Never took you for being the perverted type,” Leon’s hushed whisper of a voice penetrated your eardrums out of nowhere.
You sucked in a sharp breath and turned around, meeting Leon’s gaze almost instantaneously. Looking around the hallway, you soon pushed him further away from the conference room and back into a corner.
“What the hell, man? You don’t just sneak up on someone like that!” you quietly scolded him, pressing your balled fist up against his chest.
Your mission partner held up his hands in defence and swiveled his head to the side. “My condolences, but what were you watching back there? Thought you said you were gonna go investigate?”
You glanced back at the door across the hallway before looking back at Leon. “I… I think our guy is in there.”
“Mitrea?”
You nodded, biting the corner of your gums. “And he wasn’t alone. Leon, I think these parties are an excuse for him to engage in swinging.”
Leon raised an eyebrow. “Swinging?”
“Y’know, when guys switch wives—”
“I know what swinging means; I’m old, not dumb. But are you sure? Sherry said that—”
“Just… trust me on this. I know what I saw. I know a cuck when I see one.”
Leon blinked slowly at this. “Are you… an expert in this field…?”
“I just… use the internet, unfortunately.”
He only nodded, choosing not to question your life after hours. “So, now what?”
You stared at the door, a regrettable look twisting onto your features. “Let’s go swinging, Mr. Kennedy.”
The cards were all on the table now. Upon observation, Arturo wasn’t married or involved with anyone romantically or sexually, at least not seriously. If he went only after married couples, then all you and Leon had to do was to play the part of a believable husband and wife. How hard could that be?
You and your big mouth.
Somehow, within the hour, you had convinced Arturo to take you to a private room and have some fun with you and Leon. Upon further inspection, it was hard to believe that he was a sought-out-for bachelor. It wasn’t that he wasn’t ugly—per say—but he was certainly nothing compared to Leon, assuming they were around the same age. You honestly couldn’t believe that Leon had agreed to this to begin with, for the mission or not.
As Arturo led you and Leon to, what you assumed was his suite, his gaze never left your form. Fucking creep.
“How long have you and your husband been together?”
Leon suddenly interrupted, trying to put himself between you and Arturo. “We just passed two years, actually.”
Arturo hummed, taking note of Leon’s interception. “Let the lady speak for herself. Tell me, ma’am, does your husband treat you well?”
“He’s plenty respectful, if that’s what you’re asking.”
The host’s eyes narrowed at your vague answer. “And what about in bed?”
Your eyes went wide; your cheeks suddenly felt hotter than usual. As if Leon were reading your mind, he butt in again.
“Respectfully, she doesn’t have to answer your intrusive questions. Can’t you see you’re making my… wife uncomfortable?”
“Why the hesitation?”
Leon sighed, but before he could explain himself, the three of you had reached his suite. Entering the grand suite was like leaving the real world and stepping into some fairytale; extravagant gold curtains and satin duvet covers draped the bed, along with a grand chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
“We’re…” Leon suddenly deemed it fitting to wrap his hand around your waist. Jesus. “To be completely transparent, we aren’t exactly married. She’s closer to my work wife than anything official, but we were so interested in attending one of your parties, we thought the small fib wouldn’t hurt.”
You looked up at Leon, hoping Arturo would buy into the half-lie. Unfortunately for you, Leon had been truthful with the part of you two not being together… but referring to you as his ‘work wife’ almost made it seem as if you were his mistress. You decided it’d be better to not address the twisting, churning feeling in your stomach.
Your host’s eyes widened upon hearing Leon’s confession before smiling. Odd.
“I… see… I don’t appreciate that you two lied to me, but seeing as you are both so willing to engage with me in this endeavour, I suppose I could make an exception. After all, aren’t work spouses a form of committed relationships as well?”
“I think that’s pretty deba—” you started, but soon got cut off by Leon, who only gave you a knowing look. “R—Right. Of course.”
Arturo started to discard his jacket, tossing it into some unknown corner of the suite. He then gestured to the bed, advising you to sit down on it. You hesitated before eventually sitting down, letting the velvety material sink into whatever exposed skin you were showing. You did have to admit that it felt really nice, even if it was inhabited by some evil pervert. Soon enough, Arturo started to slip his hand up your thigh, leaving you with a sinking feeling starting to bubble inside of your stomach. Yes, this was part of the plan, but it never occurred to you that you’d have to get touched by some man you didn’t even know—much less your target.
Leon sensed your uncomfortableness from his spot by the wall, in which he stepped forward and took Arturo’s attention off of you.
“Maybe ease into it and ask if you have her consent. Can’t you tell she’s scared?”
“Peposterous. It’s just an act to psyche me out. It always begins like this,” Arturo turned back to you. “But don’t worry, I’ll take good care of you, darling.”
You shuddered at the thought. “I—I don’t really… wanna do this anymore…”
“Nonsense! It’s okay to feel a bit hesitant at first, but I assure you—”
Leon quickly pulled out his Alligator Snapper, aiming it at Arturo with one hand. “She said ‘no.’ Back the fuck up, Mitrea.”
Arturo’s hand left your thigh—thank God—but immediately ran to the bedside table to retrieve his own gun.
“You’re not actually here to swing, are you?”
“Sorry, but I’m a one lady kinda guy. Maybe you could learn a thing or two. I’m beyond flattered that you think my partner is attractive, but she’s with me.”
You slowly slipped off of the bed to get back to Leon’s side (and to go grab your own pistol from your bag that was by the door). Come to think of it, where was Leon hiding his gun to begin with? As you grabbed your bag, your gun wasn’t there. Where the hell—
“Almost forgot. Happy anniversary, honey,” Leon tossed you your pistol smoothly without missing a beat.
“What a gentleman.”
Now with two firearms being directed towards Artuto, surely you two had the upper hand in this situation. Arturo fired at Leon without a care, but to his avail, nothing came out. Empty magazine. Leon stifled a laugh all but before tackling your guys’ host and holding him to the ground via his legs.
“Tell us what you know about the T-Virus. We know you’ve been in contact with those who have connections to Umbrella.”
“I—I don’t know what you’re talking about! I don’t even know what a T-Virus is!” Arturo pleaded out, turning his head so he could barely face Leon.
In-turn, this only made your partner angrier; pressing his gun further into Arturo’s back. “You’re lying. There’s physical evidence of you conversing with scientists from Umbrella, so quit lying out of your pathetic ass, Mitrea, or so God help me, I will put a bullet through your head.”
“Leon! We aren’t supposed to eliminate him!”
Your partner only shot you a wink; a silent way of telling you that he’s only bluffing. You could only shoot back a concerned look, but tried to keep a poker face for the sake of the mission.
“Alright, alright! I’ll tell you what I know!”
By the time you and Leon were on your way back from the party, both of you were exhausted, mentally and physically. The disgusting, lingering scent and feeling of Arturo’s hand on your thigh made you want to projectile vomit from how strong it was; it smelled like sour grapes and axe body spray had a baby.
Leon let out a sigh as he threw his suit jacket into the back seat of his Porsche, swiping a hand through his disheveled hair. You set your bag down by your feet, breathing soundly for the first time in hours.
“How’re you feeling?” Leon asked, glancing in your direction.
“I think once I get home, I’m gonna shower for, like, an hour. What about you?”
He looked down at his gloved hands, letting them ball into a tight fist. “Barely a step closer.”
Occurrence number two happened barely a week after coming back from the infamous swinging party. After the rush of euphoria from the actual missions were over, you and Leon completely forgot about filing a report on it, which led you two to working late into the night at the office.
While you were on your second energy drink of the evening, Leon was barely awake on his side of the desk. He had asked you to come into his office to help recall anything he might’ve forgotten; something about possibly getting dementia since he’s getting older, but in reality, he just wanted an excuse to spend more time with you.
The clock struck 11:23PM. And you were barely halfway done with your report. Damn Leon and his smoldering gaze and his stupid sexy glasses and shit—did he say something?
“What?” you snapped out of your gaze.
“I asked if you needed a break; you look tired.”
“No, if I stop now, I won’t ever finish it, and I already got reminded several times earlier today that this had to be done by the end of this week.”
“Figured. You’re usually so on top of everything. I’m surprised you’ve let this slip your mind for so long.”
“You… have you been stalking me or something?”
Leon let out a weak laugh, shaking his head. “I’ve just been noticing you working, is all. People watching can be fun.”
“Creep.”
“‘Creep?’ I feel offended you think so.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Why?”
“I try hard not to scare anyone, much less creep a pretty lady like you out.”
You quickly returned your vision to the word doc in front of you, trying to hide your imminent blush with the stark light from your laptop screen. “Shut up. Flattery will not work on me, and you can’t make me get you another coffee.”
Leon smirked before shrugging. “Wasn’t looking for anything but a reaction. Glad to know I still got it.”
“Excuse me? You think you make me flustered?”
“I have eyes.”
“I’m—your mind games won’t work on me, Kennedy.”
“We’re playing games?” Leon retorted dumbfounded. “Am I winning…?”
“If you can finish your report before I finish mine, sure.”
He gave you a soft smile. “You really are a good work-wife.”
You could feel your cheeks warming up again. “Just shut up and do your work.”
“Yes ma’am.”
The third time it happened was a few weeks later. You were typing away at your desk, focused on a report, until Leon knocked on your cubicle wall, subtly checking you out, unbeknownst to you.
“Delivery.”
You ignored him—not on purpose as you had earbuds in—unaware of his looming presence. His tired eyes traced your hunched over form; a sense of admiration flowing through his person. After deciding that he had ogled your poor posture enough, he tapped you on the shoulder, making you jump.
“AAH! Oh, it’s just you, Leon. Jesus Christ, you scared me…!”
Leon laughed, nudging a coffee cup towards you. “Sorry, but I hope this makes up for it.”
Your attention diverted onto the take-out cup in front of you. “You got me coffee? What’s the occasion?”
“Café I stopped by this morning accidentally gave me two,” was his nonchalant reply.
“And you decided to give me your extra coffee? What a gentleman.”
Leon winked at you. “See? Who said I couldn’t be a good work-husband.”
As you watched Leon leave your cubicle, you immediately went to go inspect the coffee. He probably just ordered some lame default latte that—Holy shit, it was your regular coffee order, right down to your preferred beans. You could’ve sworn that your pupils turned into hearts as Leon rounded the corner down to the filing room.
The fourth occurrence was later that day at lunch, while you were talking with a couple of your coworker-friends. While you dug at your food, one of your colleagues decided to bring up the infamous subject of relationships.
“Oh my God, did I tell you guys what my boyfriend did for our five-year anniversary?” she groaned out, spiking her pasta.
You shrugged while the other girl at your table hummed a response.
“We were supposed to go to Italy, but he ended up booking the plane tickets for next month by accident, so now we both have to use our sick days if we wanna get our money’s worth.”
You let out a snort, trying to hold in your laughter. Your other friend just laughed out loud, no shame involved.
The girl sitting in front of you playfully swat at your other coworker, telling her to shut it. “It was a honest mistake! I’m just glad he didn’t forget like my sister’s husband did on their anniversary!”
“So… Do you think he’s gonna pop the question then?” you asked, taking a bite of your lunch.
“I hope so… that’s what everyone thinks he’s gonna do. Y’know, Italy is where we first met; I was studying abroad, and he was on a family trip. Who knew that we were from the same city?”
“Sounds like a movie.”
Your friend giggled, poking your arm. “What about you and our resident Agent of the Year?”
“Who?”
“Don’t play dumb!” your other coworker interrupted. “Ovbiously, she’s talking about you and Leon! We’ve seen the way you two interact with each other!”
You let out an incredulous laugh. “Oh puh-lease! Leon is just my coworker! We are casual work-spouses. That’s all.”
“Work-spouses?!” the two of them blurted in unison.
“So are the rumors true? Is he married?”
“Omg, are you like his mistress? Is his actual wife pissed?”
“Woah, woah, woah!” you waved your hands around quickly, trying to diffuse their outbursts. “He isn’t married, and I’m not anyone’s mistress!”
“So… he just calls you his work-wife for like… fun?” the friend in front of you asked, tilting her head.
You sighed, nodding. “I mean… I guess so. Who knows what goes on inside his head…”
The fifth time it happened, it was a particularly chilly day at the office. Your dumbass had assumed that the heater would still be working since the government was rich or whatever, but low and behold, the heater just happened to be broken, and you were without a warm layer to cover your, rather thin, sweater.
“Aren’t you freezing? I heard they haven’t fixed the heater yet…” Sherry came up to you, handing you a cup of hot coffee.
You shivered and thanked her quietly, accepting the hot beverage. “Of course I am, Sherry… but I can’t really do anything about it. I left my jacket at home cause I was running late… I could’ve sworn I left a cardigan here, but I guess not.”
Moments later, a heap of warmth had lurched onto your back; a jacket. Looking up and behind the two of you, Leon was there with his signature tired gaze. Oh, fuck his arms were out—
“Le—Leon!” you sputtered out, not knowing whether to look at his biceps or his face or just focus on his jacket. Hey, wasn’t this the jacket that he lost in Spain? How’d he get it back—
“You’re gonna catch a cold if you don’t layer up, you know that, right?” Leon commented, crossing his arms.
“I told her that too, but it turns out she left her jacket at home. Someone overslept and left in a hurry,” Sherry nudged your arm with her elbow before leaving the two of you alone; muttering something quickly about having to get back to work.
Dammit, Sherry.
“Guess that means it’s a good thing that I brought this to work.”
“Wait, aren’t you cold?”
He only shrugged. “This sweater’s pretty warm, don’t worry about me. You just focus on warming back up.”
“Should I… give you your jacket back later?”
“Keep it. It wouldn't be the first time that I’ve lost it. Besides, what kind of work-husband would I be if I let you die of hyperthermia on my watch?”
“Um… a bad one?”
“Ironically, I’d get flamed by Sherry,” Leon let out a crude, unapologetic laugh before coughing a bit.
You could only stare at him, stonefaced, as you let him tell the corny joke. This is the guy you were head over heels for since you started working at the DSO, but truthfully, you wouldn’t have it any other way. You enjoyed his presence, lame one-liners and jokes and all.
The first time that you noticed your relationship with Leon drastically changed wasn’t until several months later; when a new agent had been switched over to the DSO from a partner agency. Leon had been away on a mission by the time the new agent had arrived, so you hadn’t paid much attention to him until he started to notice strange occurrences happening to you.
“Flowers? Again? What is this, like the third time this month?” Leon asked, leaning over your cubicle wall.
You looked at him sheepishly, pushing the small floral decoration to the side. “Er… more like the sixth…”
His eyes widened at this information. “From who?”
“I had assumed they were from you and didn’t think much of it.”
Leon only raised an eyebrow. “Sorry to break it to you, sweetheart, but I never sent you anything. It’d be kind of hard to send you flowers while I’m halfway across the country. Or at least, make sure that they’d still be alive.”
“I… see.”
“Although, would you want me to start getting you flowers? I wouldn’t be opposed to the idea.”
You could feel your cheeks flush a bit, but you ultimately brushed it off and shrugged. “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to, Leon. It’s not like I expect anything from you, y’know?”
He tilted his head, looking almost disheartened from your comment. “What if I wanna do this for you?”
“Charming, but it seems like you’re in second place, my dear, gardener,” you waved the potted piece of flora in your hand.
Leon only sneered at the plant before ruffling your hair. “Meet me outside after work. I’m taking you out.”
“What?”
“Be there or be square!” Leon called out, not even looking back at you; simply holding his hand up as a way of saying ‘goodbye.’
Around dusk, like Leon told you, you waited for him at the DSO entrance. A few minutes later, and the man of the hour himself came crawling out of the building, standing tall and proud with his hands stuffed into his pockets.
“Fancy seeing you here, Miss,” Leon hummed, walking up to you.
“You literally told me to meet you here.”
Leon rolled his eyes. “Just… take my hand, please.”
You gave him a tight-lipped smile before wrapping your arms and hands around his biceps. “Lead the way, Mr. Kennedy.”
Leon led you around town to a nearby florist shop; something that Sherry had pointed out to him the other week when she mentioned in passing about your favorite kinds of flowers. That night, he went on researching how to care for them and even considered using his unused balcony space as a mini garden. The minute you two stepped into the store, you started to smile and smelled at each of the flora and trinkets alike, Leon already knew which ones you’d prefer. While you were occupied with the little succulents in the corner, Leon used this time to buy you a bouquet of an arrangement he knew you’d appreciate. By the time you were done perusing the store and met up with your coworker, your eyes went wide at the bouquet in his hands.
“What… What is all this? You didn’t buy this, did you?” you asked, your eyes darting between Leon and the flowers.
“A real arrangement of flowers for a pretty woman. So, you can put this on your desk instead of those cheap ones from… Hey, who are they from anyway?”
“Um… the cards all just said that it’s from LK so… I assumed it was from you.”
“Sweetheart, you can’t just assume things.”
You swat at his arm before taking the bouquet off his hands. “Nevertheless, thank you… Don’t even remember the last time I was given flowers. Er—outside of whoever sent me those uh… pots.”
Your mysterious sender made his presence known the very next day at work. Lance Kang.
“Good morning—Hey, where’re all the little flowers I got you?” Lance pouted, passing by your desk. He eyed Leon’s much more impressive bouquet. “And who got you the ugly ones?”
You swiveled your office chair to face the rookie agent. “Oh, Lance, good morning. You were the one who sent those?”
Lance Kang. LK. Huh. Go-fucking-figure.
The younger agent only nodded enthusiastically.
“Oh, uh—Leon got me these yesterday. Aren’t they beautiful?”
“Yeah, I guess… Anyways, are you busy tonight? Any plans for the weekend?”
“Um… no, not really. Kinda just… staying in and catching up on some reading, I guess. What about you?”
“I was wondering if—”
“Hey, Rookie!” another agent called from across the office space. Lance quickly looked over and waved his hand.
“Another time.”
You nodded, a weary look immediately dawning on your features after the younger man left. Well, shit.
Leon noticed this and walked over to your desk. “You okay? Who was that?”
“I… found out who’s been sending me those flowers.”
Leon looked over to the younger man saluting his senior; a young Asian-American with short, black hair with a slicked back middle-part, and a leaner build. He took note of his features before looking back to you.
“Was he bothering you?”
“It’s just… a harmless office crush… I’ll just say I’m not into younger guys—that usually shoots them down easily since it’s not their fault.”
The brunet only hummed a response, still glaring at the hallway Lance disappeared down.
On your way out of the office, Lance caught up with you again; an eager look on his boyish features. He called out your name, one hand in the air.
“Hey! H—Hey! Wait up!”
You closed your eyes and took a deep breath.
It’s okay. Just reject him. Put him down easily. Shouldn’t be that difficult.
You turned around, forcing a smile on your lips. “Good evening, Mr. Kang…”
“You can call me Lance. No need to be so formal.”
“Right. Well… did you need something?”
“I wanted to ask if you were interested in getting dinner with me tonight? I know this great place like twenty minutes from here.”
“Oh! Well… that sounds delicious, but uh—I just—I have a lot of… of stuff and y’know…”
“Are you sure I can’t convince you? They have this—”
“I really can’t—” you interrupted the rookie, placing your hands out in front of you.
Lance grabbed at your wrists, tugging you forward a bit. “Please—”
“Excuse me, but please don’t touch my wife. She already told you that she’s not interested,” a new voice entered the field.
Leon.
You exchanged terrified looks with the rookie agent. As Leon walked up to you, he snaked his hand around your waist protectively, kissing your forehead as if it were second-to-breathing.
Whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuck.
“Sorry I kept you waiting, honey. Are you ready to head home?”
Lance narrowed his eyes at the two of you. “You two are together?”
“Is that so hard to believe, Mr. Kang?” Leon asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Oh yeah? If—If you’re married, then where are your—”
“Bands? That reminds me,” Leon gently gestured for you to give him your hand. “She forgot her ring in my office. Where we passionately make out. All the time.”
Your eyes went wide at Leon’s lies; darting between the two men. What the fuck was he going on about… and how did he get the ring from that mission from like six months ago? You could’ve sworn that you put it in the drawer of your desk. And locked it.
Lance only scowled at this before walking down the rest of the stairs, discouraged. You turned to Leon, almost to scold him, but he stopped before you could deal any real damage.
“That creep will finally leave you alone. Are you okay?”
“I—I could’ve dealt with that on my own.”
“He touched you. Without your consent. I panicked.”
“So your first idea was to pretend to be my husband?”
“It worked, didn’t it?”
You sighed. “I guess.”
“Can I grab your hand?”
“Why?”
“To take you home, of course. I said I would.”
You hesitantly unraveled your hand into Leon’s; the warmth from his gloves enveloping your colder hands in comparison.
When Leon got to your apartment complex, you let out a sigh and thanked him for the ride home.
“Guess I’ll… see you on Monday,” Leon mumbled, looking over to you for a brief moment before looking back at the road.
“... wanna come in for a bit?”
The minute the two of you reached your apartment, an unsettling silence hit. Neither party wanted to really divulge what happened earlier for the sake of not embarrassing each other. You offered Leon water, but he ultimately said that he wasn’t thirsty. That left the two of you to sit on your loveseat; you staring at the wall, and Leon looking around your home. It was his first time here, now that you thought of it.
Leon was the first to speak up.
“I’m… sorry for my earlier behavior, but I just—I didn’t like that he was touching you or making you uncomfortable even after you shot him down.”
“Do I have to file a report for that, by the way?”
Leon let out a dry laugh. “Don’t worry. I’ll do it for you.”
“Leon—”
“I’m too old to beat around the bush.” he said your name and looked into your eyes. You tried to avoid him, but he grabbed you by the chin so you couldn’t shy away. “I really like you, and I wanna properly court you.”
“Court? What are you? A knight from the 16th century?”
“I’ll be whatever you want me to be. Just promise not to push me away,” he murmured, leaning down closer to your lips, hesitating before doing anything brash. “May I?”
You answered him by closing the space in between the two of you. Kissing Leon was everything you thought it’d be and more. Oh, absolutely so much more. The kiss was innocent—chaste even. He moved closer to you on the loveseat, forcing the two of you to almost mold together like two puzzle pieces. He tilted your head back in order to get a better angle, which made a small moan slip through your enclosed lips. That only made Leon begin to smile through the kiss.
“Didn’t know you sounded like that,” Leon smirked, releasing you from the kiss. “I wonder what other noises you can make.”
You let out a shocked noise, as if trying to disprove his theory. “You’re such a tease, honestly…”
Leon shook his head, a light huff of a laugh coming out. “Cut me some slack. I’ve been trying to work up the courage to ask you out for months.”
“Have you, now?”
“I don’t just let anyone borrow my jacket. Y’know, that thing was expensive.”
“Was that your way of asking me out?”
“Did you not look inside the pockets?”
“Pockets?”
“I had put a note in there, asking if you were interested in going out to dinner… but you never gave me an answer so I figured that was your way of soft-rejecting me.”
Your eyes widened in realization. Immediate remorse flowed through you. “I’m sorry…! If I had known, I would’ve definitely taken you up on your offer!”
“You would have?”
You nodded. “I thought you’d be into older women…”
“You’re plenty old for me, Grandma.”
“Says you.”
“Yes, says me,” Leon smirked, enveloping you in another kiss; this time, though, it was less innocent and more passionate.
Eventually, the make-out session had ended up with you straddling his hips, gently pushing him down on the loveseat, albeit, into an uncomfortable position for his already terrible back.
“Do you wanna move to the bedroom? I know the sofa’s kinda small..”
“Yeah—yeah, just give me a sec to sit up…” Leon groaned, slowly getting up as you climbed off of him and back onto the cushions. Much to your surprise, Leon still had enough strength in him to lift you up into his arms, bridal style. “Alright, sweetheart, you’re gonna have to guide me to your bedroom.”
“Down the hallway and the second room on your right.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
As Leon set you down gently onto your duvet covers, he went back to the bedroom door to close it, even though the both of you knew that you were the only ones in the apartment. When he returned to you, you weren’t in bed, but instead over at your closet, tugging at a clothing hanger that had Leon’s brown sheepskin bomber jacket on it. Digging into the pocket, you retrieved a crumbled piece of notebook paper that you had previously ignored. There, broad as daylight, was Leon’s rushed handwriting with the following question:
Wanna grab dinner after this?
◻ yes ◻ no
You stumbled over to your nightstand, grabbing a pen that was sitting in the drawer, and quickly marked down your answer. You then gave the note back to Leon, a triumphant smile on your lips. When he looked down, his own lips formed a small smile as he saw you draw a large blue X over ‘yes.’
Leon set the note down on your nightstand before picking you up briefly before setting you back down onto your bed. He enclosed you in between his arms, studying your features as if it’d be the last thing he’d ever do in his life.
“I’m glad I finally got my answer.”
“Was it the one you were looking for?”
“Yeah.”
With that sorted out, Leon kissed you once more. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him further down onto the bed with you. His knee rested in between your legs, causing you to stifle your breath in between kisses.
“Oh, that was hot,” he breathed against your ear, kissing your earlobe. His kisses started to trail down to your jaw, neck, and then down to your clavicle.
“Leon, that tickles…” you laughed out, referring to his stubble rubbing against your skin.
“Sorry, lemme make it up to you.” Leon swiftly pushed the both of you further up the bed, letting your head hit your soft pillow. He then lowered his face to pepper your face in kisses. “I never want to stop doing this,” he mumbled in between. “Waited so long…”
You had to physically stop him after a few seconds, giggling as you held his cheeks in the palms of your hands. “Hey, you can slow down. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, we have the entire weekend ahead of us. Relax, Leon.”
Leon leaned into your touch, taking in a deep breath. “Don’t think I’ve let myself relax since the 90s… or ever…” he murmured into your skin. He then started to peck your hand. “You taste so sweet… so soft…”
Your heart swelled up at the sight; if someone told you that within the year that you’d be kissing Leon Kennedy in your bed, you would’ve called them crazy.
He stopped kissing your hand all but before turning the two of you around so you were back to straddling his lap like you were on the couch.
“Tell me,” he whispered out your name as if it were a prayer, slithering his hands down your clothed abdomen. “And be honest. What kinda fantasies have you had about me?”
“What?”
“You’re telling me you don’t fantasize about me in bed? Not even on your loneliest nights?”
“Do—Do you?”
He shrugged. “I don’t dream and tell.”
“Perv.”
“Interesting. Sherry tells me that you stare at my ass kinda often.”
Sherry!
“W—What?! That’s…! She’s lying! It’s AI!”
“How can a verbal conversation be AI, sweetie?”
You simply shook your head, dumping it into his chest. That only made your hip move against his. Leon groaned at the movement, grabbing onto your hips to steady you.
“Fuck…”
You ceased all movement, now looking ahead at Leon’s chin and his tilted-back head; his Adam’s Apple bobbing back and forth. The impulsive thoughts told you to nibble on it. The rational part of you said that it’d be wise not to.
All of your thoughts were shattered when you started to feel something harden under you. Good to know that he didn’t have erectile dysfunction yet.
Leon’s breathing steadied soon enough; evident from how his grip on your waist had loosened a bit.
“Wanna… help an old man out of his clothes?” he asked, starting to sit up a bit so he could take off his shirt.
“Yes,” you answered a bit too quickly, already tugging at his belt.
Leon laughed, his smile dissipating as soon as he remembered his condition.
“Wait,” he grabbed your wrist. “Maybe this isn’t the best idea.”
“What? What’s wrong? If this is about protection, I’ve been on birth control for years now cause of my period cramps, but—”
“No, not that… I just don’t want you to be scared of me.”
“Why would I be scared of you?”
Leon sighed, slowly peeling back the collar of his quarter-zip, revealing his ever-growing infection. Your eyes widened.
Is that why he was so adamant on getting information from Mitrea all those months ago? Did he think that his… whatever this had to do with Raccoon?
“Is it contagious?”
“Not unless you were in Raccoon City in ‘98.”
“Does it hurt?”
“I try to ignore it most days.”
“Is that why you wear gloves?”
He nodded. “Bingo.”
You bit your lip. “Will you turn?”
“I.. don’t know, to be honest. Sherry and I have been looking for more information about our… infection for years now.”
“We—We don’t have to do anything… if you don’t feel safe.”
“No.”
“No?”
“I want you, infection or not.”
You honestly didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or be turned on right now. Maybe all of the above in that order if you could help it.
You peeled off his quarter-zip and then his belt, pants—until he was left in nothing but his boxers. All you could do was stare at his chest hair and happy trail. It was honestly mouth-watering to see your work crush in his current state, infected or not. You followed suit as Leon helped you take off your work attire as well, leaving you both in your undergarments. You had the urge to cover yourself with your hands, but you figured that you were too old to worry about what a man thought about your body. Besides, this was Leon you were talking about. He’d probably think you were pretty even if you looked like a hairless cat. Probably.
The brunet eyed you up and down before gesturing you to bring your hand to his own.
“C’mon, Pretty, we’re both pretty much naked. No need to be shy.”
“I’m looking away so I can control myself. This isn’t for you, Leon.”
He darted his eyes to the wall and then back to you. “What?”
You slowly grinded against his half-hard cock, immediately making Leon into a groaning mess. He clenched his eyes shut as he reached his clean hand to rest on your hip. “Way to warn me ahead of time…”
You simply sat up a bit straighter, adjusting your hands on Leon’s own hips before grinding a bit harder down on him. You let out harsh breaths, closing your eyes as well to focus on a decent speed.
“Slow down…” he muttered out your name, his other hand making its way to the other side of your hip now. “You’re gonna tire yourself out before we even get started.”
“Then take off your stupid boxers and let me fuck you, you old man.”
He gave you an unamused look all but before pinching the skin on your hip. You let out a yelp to which Leon scoffed a laugh at.
“Patience… can’t you let me savor this? I thought women liked a ton of foreplay?”
“You’re not even doing anything, though.”
“Fine. Lie down.”
“W—What?”
“You want foreplay? I’ll give you foreplay.”
In a matter of seconds, you were back on your back as Leon’s fingers trailed up your legs and then thighs until he reached the band of your underwear. God fucking dammit, you were really wet. Granted, some of it was probably discharge, but he didn’t need to know that. While one hand was slipping under your underwear, the other worked its way behind your arched back to try and unclip your bra.
“Do you need help…? I know it’s kinda hard—”
“I’m a grown man, I don’t need help locating a simple bra clasp.”
“Leon, really, it’s okay if you—”
Pop.
“You were saying?” Leon smirked at you; confidence oozing from his words.
“Don’t get cocky.”
Leon pecked your thigh playfully before going back in and leaving sensual kisses all across your bare skin. God, it felt heavenly. You didn’t think you could ever kiss another person again after tonight—Leon tasted and felt way too good—you made a mental note to yourself to find out his ring size later.
Soon enough, he took off your underwear and swiped his fingers against your arousal before bringing it up to his lips for a taste test. The sight was downright pornographic. Leon licked his lips, his gaze meeting yours instantaneously.
“You taste delicious.”
Your lips trembled. Fuck, man. If you had a cock, it’d be rock hard right now.
Leon slowly dipped his head against your heat, pulling your legs apart passively as he started to lick at your clit. You shuddered out a moan, your legs threatening to close.
“Don’t even think about it, young lady. A man’s gotta eat,” Leon mumbled against your cunt, alternating between kissing and licking your mound.
You let your dominant hand delve into his hair, slowly trying to control his pace, while your other hand went to your breasts, palming and teasing your nipples. You started to feel a churning feeling in your cervix, knowing that if Leon pushed you just a bit longer that you’d cum on his face.
Leon simply groaned as your hand tightened in his salt and pepper hair, causing him to draw slow circles around your clit with his tongue. His free hand eventually slithered their way towards your pussy, his middle finger starting to collect your arousal before penetrating your slicked-up hole.
You moaned out Leon’s name, your legs clamping down against and around his head. Within seconds, you felt your impending climax build up until the feeling finally exploded in and out of you. You whimpered at the intense feeling, your legs slowly letting Leon breathe again. He continued to lap up at your orgasm, letting the acidic taste run all across his tastebuds.
“Fuck… I would eat your pussy all day if I could,” Leon let out a groan as he picked up his head from in between your legs. “Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”
You shuddered out shallow breaths, trying to catch your breath. “Jesus Christ, you’re a munch.”
“You into that?”
“I’m into you. So… yeah.” You sat up slowly; looking down, you saw the remnants of your orgasm leaking onto your duvet covers. Fuck, you just washed these sheets too. “Want me to return the favor?”
Leon shook his head. “You said you wanted foreplay. I gave you foreplay.”
“Well… yeah, I guess, yeah…”
“You know what comes next?”
“I think I have an idea…”
You crawled your way across the bed to Leon, tugging at his boxers. “I’ve been waiting all night to unwrap you…”
Leon looked you up and down. Even covered in sweat, you were the most beautiful thing he’d laid his eyes on. Besides a few guns. His gaze followed your own lust-filled one, seeing you pawing at his hard-on. He winced, his uninfected hand reaching for yours.
“I’ll just… I can take it off.”
As Leon finally tugged off his boxers, and his cock sprung to life in front of your eyes, you gulped. It just hit you that you hadn’t exactly had a sexual encounter—never mind a romantic one—in a long time. You threw that life away the minute you started at the DSO; you didn’t know how to deal with the guilt of potentially putting someone in danger all because you knew them. But never mind that when you were roughly 0.2 seconds away from getting onto your dream ride.
“Can I… ride you? I mean—not that I’ve thought about it or anything… but y’know…” you scratched the top of your head.
“Just let me put on protection first. I should have some condoms in my wallet.”
“You… carry condoms around even at your prehistoric age?”
“On the off-chance I finally asked you out.”
“How brave,” you retorted, reaching for Leon’s pants by the edge of the bed. You fished his wallet from the front pocket and took out the packaged contraceptive; your eyes widened when you saw the size on the label.
“You okay? Did I not have any in there?”
“No, no—it’s here.”
“Then what’s the issue?” You tossed the condom at him; he caught it easily and raised an eyebrow at you. “Is it expired or something?”
“No, I’m just kinda scared that it’s gonna hurt.”
“We… we can stop here if you’re scared.”
“I’ve come this far, haven’t I?” you bit your lip. “I’ll just… I can take it.”
“That’s the spirit… I think.”
As Leon tugged the condom onto his hardened dick, you climbed on top of him once more, lining yourself up with him before allowing yourself to slowly sink down onto the rubber.
Holy fucking shit, he felt big, and you were barely past the tip. Guess a white boy really could get some motion.
Leon, on the other hand, hissed as he felt your cunt envelop its warmth around him. His hands quickly maneuvered onto your hips as you continued to sink down onto him.
“Hey—Hey, it’s okay. You can take your time. I’m not going anywhere, like you said.”
You took some deep breaths, nodding as you tried to pace yourself. “Sorry, sorry… just realized that I haven’t fucked someone in a while. Are you okay?”
He let out a huff, giving you a look of disbelief. “I should be the one asking you that, but if you really wanna know how I feel, then I feel real fucking good.”
You felt your cheeks grow ever-warmer—if that was even possible at this point—from his confession. Once bottoming out, you could barely hold yourself together from how full you felt. Jesus Christ, neither of you had even started to move either.
“Uh… when would be a good time to start moving?”
Leon gave you a small, teasing thrust, as if to test the waters. That made your eyes go wide as you felt him hit your cervix. FUck.
“Sorry, just wanted to see your reaction, sweetheart.”
“Not funny, Leon.”
He shrugged, his hands leaving your hips so he could use his arms to sit up a bit. “It was kinda funny.”
You only gave him an unamused look before straightening your back. The view from Leon’s spot under you practically made him moan from how perfect your erect nipples looked. He continued to sit up more, making you wince from the new position, but your vision was soon obstructed by the older man’s hair and lips latching back onto yours. While one hand was securing your jaw, his other one reached for your right tit; gently palming at the flesh before his calloused fingertips began to roll your nipple in between them.
“Lee…” you mumbled through the kiss, pushing him off of you to breathe.
He hissed before nipping at your jaw; the hand that was on your jaw moving to the small of your back “Did I ever tell you how good you looked when we were at that party? I was hoping you’d be the one that I’d be fake married to.”
A bashful smile crept up onto your lips, suddenly feeling flustered at your grown age. “No, you haven’t…”
He thrust up into your hips—eliciting a whine from you—before he pecked your lips again. “Well, now you know. Also, have you adjusted enough yet?”
You nodded, wiggling your hips in place. Leon let out a low groan, his hands returning to your hips instantly as if to take over control.
“Alright, you little minx, I didn’t say you could tease me like that. Don’t be an ass.”
Your only form of a response was to raise your hips ever-so-slightly before sinking back down. As you tried to keep your best poker face to annoy him, Leon only smiled devilishly at you. Should you be concer—
Leon’s grip on your hips tightened as he started to bounce you up and down on his cock at a steady pace, making sure not to hurt or rush you, but only fast enough to where it felt good.
Fuck, fuck, fuck—you two had barely done anything, yet you already felt your second orgasm impending.
You held onto Leon’s scarred abdomen as he fucked up into you, trying to hold your moans in for the sake of embarrassment.
“C’mon, Pretty, let those sweet noises out,” he whispered in your ear, his right hand letting go of your waist momentarily to raise your chin to kiss you once more.
“Mmph—Leon… I think… I’m close again…”
“Yeah… Go ahead, cum on my cock.”
You bit down on his left shoulder, your nails digging into his back as you came for the second time that night. Leon hissed—he swore he felt a bit of blood dribbling down his back from you—his speed never relenting as he fucked you through your orgasm.
“Fuck… fuck, yeah. That’s good—real good…” he panted in your ear, making the hairs on your back stand up. “Are you okay? Can you keep going?”
“I…” your fingers traced Leon’s infection, still in the process of catching your breath. “I think I’m okay… a little sensitive, but I’m okay. You?”
“Back hurts a bit, but I’m still hard.”
You let out a soft laugh, lifting his jaw to kiss him on the lips gently. He returned it almost instantly, savoring the taste of your chapstick once more. Needless to say, neither of you left the bedroom for a while.
