Work Text:
Roughly eleven in the morning, fresh out of a shower and about an hour after breakfast, Johnny’s hand grasped tightly around a controller, leaning his shoulder into Peter’s ribs at an angle that forced Peter to shift away from him as best as he could while they whizzed around the rainbow track on the screen.
Peter and Johnny were usually pretty evenly matched up when it came to video games. And while Peter had a habit of biting his tongue when he had a bad day and lost pretty consistently, Johnny was a little more sore about it.
By their third race that day after the two of them hadn’t been able to meet up for a few weeks, Peter had won the previous two. And when Johnny loses more than one time in a row, he resorts to tactics.
“You’re cheating,” Peter got out through gritted teeth as he tried to angle himself to push his foot or knee into Johnny’s side, lessening the intrusive weight against his own ribs.
Johnny only laughed, honey sweet and entirely too innocent for a man cheating at a race that Peter wasn’t even winning. The stupid green dinosaur had nicked first place from Peter at the start of the second checkpoint, and Johnny wasn’t much further behind in third.
“Cheating? Nah,” Johnny purred, his eyes glistening in spite as he shifted his shoulder to hook underneath Peter’s, forcing him arm upwards and in an uncomfortable position as he tried to keep the controller in both hands. “I’m just cuddling up to my best bud.”
“Convenient.” Peter hissed as he managed to get his knee into the spot just underneath Johnny’s ribs, causing the man to make a rather pathetic pained noise before he was forced to move away.
Just Peter’s luck. He got a red shell.
Johnny let out a soft whistle as he threw the shell and Peter’s character was stunned on the screen, before he watched Johnny and at least two other of the NPC racers speed past him before he was able to drive again.
Peter was in fifth place now. Just perfect.
“Can’t lose two games without cheating, can you?” Peter teases as he kicks his legs onto the couch, laying them over Johnny’s lap to hopefully make some form of barrier against Johnny’s less savory tricks.
It didn’t work.
Johnny tilted his body until he was laying on top of Peter, head uncomfortably close to his groin that made Peter’s head spin. He suddenly wasn’t focusing on the game as much as he tried.
It had to be uncomfortable for Johnny, Peter reasoned. Body tilted to the side with Peter’s legs still over Johnny’s, head resting on Peter’s hip just close enough he could feel Johnny’s warmth through his clothing and inching closer.
Johnny was warm. Came from being THE Human Torch. But something about it felt like he was trying to be warmer. Not boiling like how Peter liked to shower. Even if he knew it wasn’t always good for his skin. But definitely warmer than his usual temperature.
Peter usually ran cold. Came with being a spider and the fact he was entirely unable to thermoregulate. But Johnny’s warmth sent a slow, steady warm running through his bones that made a low groan force its way out of his chest.
Peter lost the third race.
Johnny celebrated. Throwing his controller onto the couch and pushing Peter’s legs off of him as he crosses the finish line.
“You came in second,” Peter hums, a residual warmth still flooding his veins from where Johnny Storm had been touching his body. “To that damn dinosaur.”
“I don’t care!” Johnny says, still celebrating with a warm laugh escaping his throat that made Peter’s ears warm. “I still beat you!”
“But you were second to Yoshi-”
“I will fight you!”
Peter can’t help but laugh. “I could beat you blindfolded.”
Johnny stops celebrating, head whipping towards Peter. “Really?”
Peter smiles. “Really.”
“Okay,” Johnny takes the controller from Peter’s hands before he could start another race, tossing it onto the couch with his own. “Let’s spar.”
Peter blinks up at Johnny in surprise. “You wanna spar the guy with super strength.”
Johnny shook his head. “No, I wanna blindfold the guy with super strength and then spar him.”
“This seems like a bad idea.”
“Not to me!” Peter is pulled to his feet before he is unseremoniously dragged through the halls of the Baxter Building until he is pulled into their on-site personal gym. Which is pretty big.
Peter stands awkwardly off to one side as Johnny rifles through a closet on one side before he pulls out a padded sparring mat that was folded up and put away. He placed it down on the floor before he quickly left, but not before demanding Peter stay put.
Something about sparing Johnny felt awkward in Peter’s gut. He knew Johnny could fight. They had been on enough patrols together for Peter to know that he was skilled in hand to hand. And he also had an idea that Johnny was partially invulnerable. He was pretty sure Johnny could, in theory, hold up a decent fight against him if it came to pass that the two of them were pit against each other for one reason or another.
But that was Human Torch and Spider-Man at their full strength and fighting capacity. Except not Spider-Man. Never Spider-Man. Peter was positive most days he wasn’t even fighting at half his full strength just to prevent himself from breaking the bones of everyone he was up against with a single strike.
This was a sparring match between Peter Parker and Johnny Storm. A Johnny Storm that would probably be fighting at half his maximum strength and a Peter Parker who would be fighting at half of the already dampened strength WHILE BLINDFOLDED.
Peter knew how cutting off one sense tends to heighten the others, but Peter really had no genuine clue how that would work with his spidey-sense. He’d wanted to try it. He’d considered trying it on a few different occasions. But he’d never committed because he didn’t want to hurt anyone.
Something silk was placed over his shoulder before a pair of sweatpants was thrust into Peter’s arms by Johnny. He had changed into a tank top and a similar pair of sweatpants, moving barefoot onto the sparring mat as he stretched his arms above his head and moved his spine in an arch.
Peter, regretfully, tracked every inch of that movement with his eyes, only tearing them back to the sweatpants in his arms when Johnny turned to look at him. “Ready Spidey?” He hummed, giving Peter his signature smirk that, for some reason, this time, made something funny swim underneath Peter’s skin.
Peter rolled his eyes, changing as fast as he could into the pair of, in his opinion, far too expensive sweatpants. Then, after pulling off his socks, he stepped onto the mat. Johnny looked prepared for anything. Peter wasn’t feeling as confident as he pulled the blindfold off his shoulder and looked at it in his hands.
“Nervous you’ll lose?” Johnny purred, causing Peter to roll his eyes for what felt like the fifth time that day.
“Nervous about the blindfold.” Peter corrected, before he took a deep breath to steady himself and his nerves. He stared at the blindfold for a long moment, then he placed it between both his hands and raised it to his head.
Peter expected something grander, which was probably not the thought he should’ve been having. He had expected everything to get louder or to smell stronger. But nothing really actually changed, at least to his normal senses. But now, at least, Peter felt a constant buzzing.
Not hearing, not seeing, feeling. It started at the back of his head and inched down his spine until it spread through every muscle fiber in Peter’s arms and legs. It was strange. Specifically, it was strange how good it felt to Peter. Like a rush of adrenaline was pumped straight into his veins and was coursing through every inch of his body and soul.
Peter had to make a conscious effort not to flex his body and muscles as he lowered himself just enough into the staring spar position.
Johnny made a soft whistle as Peter shifted his feet to a better position and Peter was vaguely able to make out that he was still in front of him. Then Peter noticed that Johnny’s movements made noise. It was one of those things that made total sense in hindsight, but for the most part went completely unnoticed by most people because they tended to tune it out because of how normal it was.
The gentle shift of the mat when Johnny took a step. The way the fabric rustled against his skin with his movements. The way his breathing was even with a gentle in and out pattern. Peter focused on that. The sound of Johnny’s footsteps moved to his left, Peter felt a tingle on the left side of his head as he dodged low and to the right before using the momentum to push his shoulder against Johnny’s body.
Peter wasn’t sure where he hit as he moved back to get a different angle, but the suck of breath through Johnny’s teeth and the way his footfall sounded like he stumbled backwards made Peter think he landed somewhere on his chest or abdomen. Probably abdomen, Peter had deliberately aimed lower. It made the most sense to him.
Peter heard Johnny regain his balance, listened to how Johnny waved his hands like he was brushing something off of them. But then Peter noticed the way Johnny’s steps became quieter as he moved towards what Peter thought was his right. He didn’t have to strain to listen, but it was still slightly different for Peter to make out Johnny moving with very slow, very calculated steps like he was trying to keep quiet.
“Quit tracking me. It’s creepy.” Johnny was definitely to his right. Peter hadn’t even realized his head was tilting as he listened until Johnny said something. Peter smiled. “Quit that too!”
Peter knew he had to play on the defensive. Playing offense while blindfolded was a recipe for disaster, but with how Johnny was also leaning into defense, Peter thought he might as well try his hand at offense.
He listened until he confirmed where Johnny was, before Peter shifted low on his right leg and lunged for Johnny. He heard him move to his left, Peter quickly responded by correcting his leg and using his left arm to grab Johnny.
Johnny reacted swiftly, moving his arm to readjust Peter’s angling like he was leading a horse. It didn’t work in his favor as Peter used the shift in his own movement to swipe his leg underneath Johnny’s. Peter heard Johnny hit the mat, but before Peter could figure out where he landed to get the upper hand, he heard Johnny kick up off the mat and land on his feet again.
“Dirty…”
“Never said it had to be clean.”
Peter had to keep him talking. It would be the easiest way to figure out where he was and where he would be going. But Johnny didn’t respond. As much as Peter desperately wanted him to.
“We could’ve talked rules,” Peter tried again, shifting his wait and the position of his arms, “Set what we could and couldn’t do.”
Johnny scoffed. He was still to his left.
Peter turned his head to his left. Johnny went deafeningly quiet again. Completely still. Peter took a step towards his left, he heard Johnny shift to his right.
Peter corrected and lunged, only to come up with nothing as he heard Johnny swiftly move out of his way and back to the left, before Peter felt himself be tackled onto the mat.
The ensuing struggle was a tangle of arms, legs and heavy breathing as they fought for the top position. When Johnny seemed to gain the upper hand, Peter figured out an opening to flip their positions. When Peter relaxed just briefly enough, Johnny took his chance to flip them again.
Peter was getting dizzy by the time they finally settled. Both his hands were at Johnny’s wrists, keeping his arms stretched above his head and out from each other. Peter’s thighs were bracketing Johnny’s, his calves and feet keeping Johnny’s legs against the mat. Peter could hear his own breathing over everything else.
Johnny shifted underneath him, trying to get Peter off of him or to gain the upper hand himself, when his shifting ground his abdomen not so subtly into Peter’s groin. It sent a shock through his body, a sensitive one that made brief stars appear behind Peter’s closed and blindfolded eyes.
And the sound that was forced out of his throat was even less dignified.
Everything went completely still and silent.
Peter could feel his cheek and neck burning as he tried to look anywhere but Johnny. He could feel him beneath him, not just from the touch, but now by a soft warmth radiating off of his body.
Johnny rolled his body again, Peter ground his teeth together with a low groan.
“Johnny.” Peter hissed out, tightening his grip on Johnny’s arms.
Johnny laughed beneath him, a warm sound that Peter had heard all too many times and had practically memorized the smile he made with it. It made heat prickle across his skin now.
“You’re enjoying this.” Peter huffed as he did his best to scowl at Johnny.
Johnny hummed, shifting his arms slightly but unable to do much in Peter’s grip. “By the sound of it, you are too.”
“Johnathan.”
“What?!” Johnny laughed again, “It’s cute! I liked it.”
Peter’s brain nearly unplugged. Completely disconnected from everything else. “You… liked it?”
“I did.” Johnny confirmed, managing to shift one arm enough so that his fingers laced between Peter’s. He should’ve pulled his hand away. He didn’t. “Can I do it again?”
Peter didn’t know how to respond. He opened and closed his mouth with no words escaping such a blatant request like that. And damn it if Peter wasn’t already hard.
He nodded slowly.
Johnny adjusted slightly and ground his hips into Peter’s again, and Peter groaned again at the contact. It felt so good. Really good. Like hypersensitivity almost. And, yeah, maybe Peter was right that being blindfolded would heighten his senses. Didn’t realize it took a few minutes to actually catch up with him. Which again, in hindsight, made perfect sense. But hindsight is 20/20 and Peter currently had no sight and the Human Torch grinding against him from underneath. So his brain processing power wasn’t entirely in the right places.
Johnny ground up into him again and Peter had to free one of Johnny’s hands, fist hitting the mat as he made a breathy noise. It barely processed to him the feel of Johnny’s hand freeing his other hand from Peter’s grip until he felt both hands at his waist. He felt Johnny squeeze him softly, before sliding down to his hips and using his grip to adjust Peter against him, moving in time with his own movements.
Peter’s forehead hit Johnny’s shoulder. Johnny made a low groaning sound in his chest as he practically fucked up into Peter. It was making his head spin. His own hands fisted into Johnny’s tank top as he was ground into harder.
“You sound really sensitive,” Johnny gasped as Peter’s nails dug into his sides through the tank top.
“Feels… like it.” Peter groaned, moving to nuzzle into Johnny’s neck, now breathing against his skin and the concentration of his scent. A mix of his cologne and his natural scent that made Peter want to bite down and never let go. Mark his skin with teeth marks and bruises.
Peter gasped as Johnny suddenly flipped their positions, Peter’s back hitting the mat and Johnny’s erection slotting directly against his own. Johnny’s hands found Peter’s thighs, spreading his legs to grind their cocks together harder. Johnny may as well be actually fucking him with how he was moving.
It was overwhelming. And Peter’s mind short-circuited as Johnny leaned down and pressed a hot, open-mouthed kiss against his jaw. “You’re so red,” Johnny teased, pressing another kiss into his skin.
“Sh-shut up…” Peter stuttered as Johnny fucked against him harder. Peter felt his cock twitch, his boxers were definately soaked in precum at this point. He could feel it against his skin as Johnny shifted closer, folding one of Peter’s legs towards his chest.
“What’s wrong Spidey?” Johnny hummed, nose nuding the edge of Peter’s earlobe. “Too much?”
“Just…” Peter’s voice broke from a sensitive noise, his nails still fisting into Johnny’s skin. “Shut up,” The word dragged out, Peter’s back arching off the mat.
“Close?”
“Y-Yes!”
“Good.” Johnny kissed a line up his neck and to his jaw, pressing a soft nip into his skin. “Fuck, me too, Pete, me too.” Johnny let out a whimper that was going to be ingrained in Peter’s mind for the rest of his life, his hips stuttering just slightly. He didn’t stutter for long, nearly folding Peter as he fucked against him with a most consistent rhythm.
Peter came first, eyes closed tight beneath the blindfold, nails practically ripping Johnny’s tank top as his entire body stuttered with a loud moan. Johnny wasn’t far behind, his own movements stilling as he buried his face against Peter’s neck.
They really just did that.
Peter’s mind slowly recalibrated, his eyes opening underneath the blindfold as he just laid there and breathed. Johnny was still on top of him, full weight pressed into his body as he, too, caught his breath.
He felt Johnny rise off him, then instantaneously flashed as Johnny’s hand pushed the blindfold up for Peter to see again. He had to squint as the light hit his eyes, not used to the light staring back at him. He had to blink to clear his vision before looking up at Johnny and seeing that cocky supermodel grin looking back at him.
“Johnny,” Peter started, voice sounding odd to him now after the way it sounded while being dry humped by Johnny.
“Yeah, Pete?”
“Get off of me.”
~~~
Half an hour later they had both showered and changed into clothing that wasn’t sticky from their own cum.
Johnny lay on his bed, one leg crossed over the other as he scrolled absentmindedly through his phone.
Peter was sitting across the room from him, drying his hair with a towel before he pulled it off his head and stared at it for a moment.
The scene played in his head over and over again. The way Johnny sounded, the way he felt against Peter. The words that started the whole thing in the first place. It replayed on loop in his head for a while, until Peter took a deep breath and looked up.
“Can we talk about that?” “We need to talk.”
Johnny was looking across at Peter, his mouth open slightly the same way Peter’s was as the two of them spoke over each other. They were silent for a second before they both burst out laughing.
Johnny spoke first after the two calmed down. “Guess you were thinking about it too?”
“Yeah,” Peter sighed, tossing the towel across the room and somehow not missing the hamper by the door. “So… what now?”
Johnny tilted his head, sitting up and setting his phone in his lap. “Like… between us?”
“Obviously.” Peter rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. “Was that a one-time thing? Is Peter Parker now a part of the Johnny Storm hook-up list?”
Johnny laughed. “Not unless you want to be.” Peter stared at him, completely unimpressed. Johnny didn’t back down. “I was more thinking I could take you out to dinner? That good place on that corner you introduced me too.”
“Are you asking me on a date?”
“Are you gonna say yes?”
Peter laughed as he shook his head, uncrossing his arms and letting his hands settle on the edge of the chair. “Only if you’re paying.”
