In one dimension, Stanford Pines emerges from the portal alone.

Upstairs, he encounters his niece and nephew(s?) for the first time, who are very surprised to see a guy come out from behind the vending machine in the gift shop.

Only one person has the explanation for them all, and the government has made sure he won't be able to share it. (for about 12 hours).

i have about 20 pages thumbnailed, which takes us to... significantly less than halfway through my notes. we're gonna be on this ride for a hot minute lol

Edit to add: I never linked the post on AO3! so originally, i was just thinking about how funny it would be if the kids never made it to the basement and had no idea where the heck Ford came from. I liked that, but as a story it didn't have any legs until i read this post by aroace-get-out-of-my-face about Stan being written out so that he couldn't give any convenient explanations. And now here we are! (at the time i started this comic, only the first part existed, but im linking the most recent version so yall can enjoy it)
