Prologue: Reborn Into The Wonderland of Illusions!
...
It felt like I was swimming... swimming in a dream...
I found myself in the middle of a dark, empty void, darkness surrounding me in every direction, seemingly stretching without end. As for myself, I couldn't move nor feel anything, really...
"Where am I...?" I quietly muttered, or so I thought to myself. Uncertain and unable to do much here other than float about within the dark abyss I found myself in.
That was until, suddenly, I felt something! Something slowly burning within me as I could feel it burning brighter and brighter, my hands enveloped in a silver and blue hue, followed by the rest of my body beginning to glow with a brilliant radiance, lighting up the darkness.

I was panicking, frantically struggling as I wasn't sure what was happening nor could I see. My mind was a mess, filled with a myriad of emotions: confusion, fear, and anxiety.
Eventually, everything turned pure white, then came darkness, followed by my consciousness fading away once more.
Awakening...
For what felt like hours, I felt myself drifting away...
Sinking, washing, and drowning through a never-ending ocean of darkness...
My body... shining faintly amidst the dark waters... slowly transforming... changing shape and form... my whole existence being rewritten...
Then... that familiar feeling... that burning sensation traveling through my body as I soon felt it... my humanoid form shrinking, transforming...
Finally, I can see! I can see the light far off in the distance as I began desperately swimming forward... sinking deeper and deeper into the dark abyss...
Almost there... just a little farther!
Slowly yet surely, the distance closes further between us... my hands reaching out as I draw closer to the light, like moths to a flame... I soon reach it, my right hand moving towards the light, grasping that silver and blue hue of radiance...
I then brought it close to my chest, pressing it against the central place in which my heart and soul resides within me. Pushing it deep into my being with both hands!
I can see it... Color beginning to form all around me! My vision becoming more clear and then–!
...I woke up, opening my eyes.
The Male Fairy of Weather / Basics of The Gamer
Tuesday, July 1, 2003 (118/6/3)
Suddenly, I opened my eyes as I was met with the warm rays of morning sunlight. Still drowsy and confused, my mind felt messed up as I was woken up forcibly by this head-splitting headache!
"W-what... happened?" I thought, my mind and vision slowly regaining clarity as I soon became aware of my surroundings. Quickly picking myself up, I frantically turned around as my mind began processing said surroundings.
Shock and confusion slowly rose within my heart, which should've led to fear; yet, for some reason, I remained calm and composed to a certain extent. I was surprised, wondering what was going on until—
[Gamer's Mind] has been activated!
—A small, rectangular blue screen appeared out of thin air, causing me to jump back in sudden surprise. It displayed the following text before disappearing just as quickly, leaving me in confusion. I could also feel the lingering pain of my headache fading away, calming my mind further the moment it appeared!
"What the hell is happening right now?!" I thought. Focusing back on my surroundings, my head frantically turned in multiple directions as I found myself in what appeared to be a random forest, with many trees and various flora coming into view, surrounding me, as well as a lot of strange mushrooms and other fungi growing around me.
There was also little to no sunlight filtering through into the area, barely lighting some of the wet grass where I currently stood in this damp and dark forest. I could smell a strange and unnatural humid fragrance permeating the seemingly natural forest atmosphere, as well as feeling something else.
It was almost otherworldly yet just as natural and real—something so... mystical for some unexplainable reason, but one I'm unable to recognize it fully.
However... As I kept checking my surroundings, I noticed something off. All around me, everything seemed bigger, I think. Confused, an uneasy feeling started rising within my heart as I slowly looked down.
The moment I did, I was quickly drawn to my hands. My eyes widened further in disbelief, realizing my hands had taken on a much fairer skin tone and now appeared much smaller than usual. And it wasn't just that!
Immediately, I realized my whole body had drastically changed; my entire form and appearance felt altered and completely different as I hurriedly looked around, spotting a nearby puddle on the damp grass as I ran toward it.
Upon reaching it, I stared down, left wide-eyed in pure shock and disbelief by my own reflection. For there, before my own eyes, standing in my place in the reflected water was a much smaller figure—a young child, no less.
My once slightly tanned skin was gone, my whole body having taken on a fairer skin tone, almost white even. Like a child, I was shorter and appeared as an adorable young boy, with curly silver-white hair, and my eyes were blue like the clear blue sky!
As for my clothes, they were completely different as well. Mainly consisting of a pair of dark blue shorts and a dark blue vest over a white collared short-sleeved shirt, along with a pure red necktie and a pair of small black shoes, my feet fit nicely. Honestly, my whole attire vaguely reminded me of those British schoolboy uniforms, as well as looking like my own uniform from back in my senior year of high school.
"What the hell...? What is this?!" I muttered to no one in particular. My voice was much lighter and softer, sounding youthful and slightly energetic, I believe. The best way I could describe it is that I now sounded pretty cute, much to my further dismay and disbelief.
Suddenly, memories came crashing down in my head, recalling myself within the dark, endless void. The burning sensation flooded through my body as I swam towards the light, catching it and bringing it into my chest before being engulfed in silver and blue, as everything became clear and bright before waking up here in this strange and damp forest.
Cold sweat rolled down my face, and I dropped to my hands and knees as I tried to catch my breath. The memory itself felt overwhelming... But also...
"...I can't remember my own name," I whispered, more to myself. Looking at my hands, slightly trembling in dread, I realized that other than the dark void and some knowledge, I can't recall anything anymore.
My own past life and name are just gone, erased from my memory and leaving only an empty void within the depths of my mind, with faint feelings of something that was once there.
And, as if silently mocking me further, I stared back at my reflection in the puddle, and floating just above my head was a tag displaying my name, or rather, the lack of one.
-The Gamer-
Lvl 1. ["Unnamed"]. [Male Fairy of Weather].
"No way..." Once more, I quietly mutter to myself. This time, I am not at all surprised as I remain calm, deciding to try to process my current situation more...
Not long after, another screen of text appears right in front of me, displaying a particular wall of text as I begin reading its content.
Welcome, [Gamer]!
You have been granted [The Gamer] ability by [?] and have been chosen to be reincarnated into another world based on fiction, including the ones you are aware of.
The [Gamer System] is a tool that will allow the host to grow and reach unimaginable levels of potential and power similar to a video game character depending on how the host plays the game.
Whatever paths, choices, and experiences you make will all solely be up to you. Now, enjoy your new life, Gamer!
Okay... Upon reading all that, I'm left with my own thoughts, pondering the knowledge I've just learned so far. Mainly, that I've apparently been granted the ability known as [The Gamer] from that one manhwa (Korean manga) I once read way back.
Not only that, I've somehow been reincarnated into another world with little memory of my past life, other than knowledge from various media, ranging from things such as films and shows to anime and manga for some reason.
'But also, why the hell am I some kid?!' I thought, pouting angrily at my own reflection staring back at me, gritting my teeth, which looked cuter than anything, much to my dismay and frustration as I kicked at a puddle with my now short foot, causing waves of ripples on the puddle's surface.
However...
"That still doesn't explain why I've been turned into a kid..." I quietly muttered, clearly irritated. Just as I thought that, another screen soon appeared.
Caught off guard by surprise, I began quickly reading through it. My face slowly grew pale upon finishing reading. I wondered if this was all just a cruel joke as I laughed humorlessly upon realizing the kind of world I ended up in, along with the fact of what I am now.
You've been reincarnated into the [Touhou Project] universe, transported to the Land of Illusions and Fantasy, Gensokyo. This is an entire realm of reality completely separated and protected from the Outside World, also known as Earth, due to the erection of the [Hakurei Barrier].
To be more specific, you've been reborn here within the Forest of Magic as a [Fairy (Touhou Project)], one of the more commonly known races residing in Gensokyo alongside the [Yokai] and [Spirits].
More accurately, you've become a [Weather Fairy], a species of Fairy wielding magic capable of manipulating weather and the elements associated with the phenomena.
"Well... fuck!" I cursed, my adorably soft and childish voice laced with slight panic and frustration. Fortunately, I'm able to remain calm, most likely because of [Gamer's Mind], for which I'm grateful, but still.
"There's no way I'm a fairy, right...?" I said, hoping this wasn't true. Sadly, that would be merely wishful thinking, as instinctively, I felt something sprouting from my back.
My eyes widened, dread slowly rising as I turned my head and looked behind me, only to be left in surprising shock upon seeing what appeared to be two pairs of small, silver-glowing wings of clouds on my back.
"Wow... Are these really real... and mine?" I softly said, the sight leaving me momentarily mesmerized as I gazed in wonder at my wings born of cloud before looking back down at my own hands. "Huh. I guess, I really am a [Fairy]..."
As a somewhat recent and novice fan of the series, I at least knew that the [Fairies] within Touhou are one of the most common enemies in the series, starting all the way back with, I think, the fourth main game. They are usually one of the first enemies you'd face and are a pretty iconic staple of the franchise.
Lore-wise, they're one of the more common races besides Yokai and Spirits and can be seen inhabiting most places here in Gensokyo, if my memory of the series serves me right.
However, it's also known that Fairies are one of the weakest races, often seen more or less as fodder—small fries for most of the cast.
Fairies are above most regular humans, but compared to stronger people and Yokai, they are more likely to be outclassed by a lot. Of course, that doesn't mean the Fairies aren't completely weak.
Characters such as the Lily White, the Fairies of Light, and the Touhou girl herself, Cirno, are by no means too weak, especially considering that the Ice Fairy herself was strong enough to be considered the second stage boss in EoSD, with that green-haired Great Fairy being the mini-boss as well.
I'm not including Clownpiece, mainly because I know very little about her character and I haven't had the chance to play Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom (LoLK) yet.
Oh, and let's not forget the most important thing: most, if not most, Fairies are fucking dumb, or rather, simple-minded and childish by nature!
And knowing that I'm now a part of that very [Race] has given me some mixed feelings. Fortunately for me, I don't appear to behave dumb or anything. Not yet, at least.
Granted, being part of it wouldn't be completely bad and does provide me with one major advantage. However, before I could ponder any further, another screen soon appeared.
When you're ready, please say or think 'Tutorial,' and you'll be given a [Quest], commencing the [Tutorial].
'Tutorial' I thought without a hint of hesitation as I'm then greeted to a new screen followed by another.
Now that you've understood your current circumstance and the opportunity given to you, let's begin the [Tutorial]! Please accept the incoming [Quest].
[Quest Alert!]
[Quest]: [Tutorial: How To Play!]

[Accept (Y)/Decline (N)]?
I tapped 'Y', pressing my finger as I accepted the [Quest/Turprial] and I'm immediately hit with the scoring theme from Touhou 5.
~[Playing BGM]: [Soul's Resting Place] - [Touhou Project (5): Mystic Square]~
Let's start the [Tutorial]!
Suddenly, my eyes widened in shock as the whole world around me began to radiantly sparkle and then dimmed for a moment. The surrounding terrain of the forest warped before seemingly returning to normal.
However, I instantly realized something was off as the whole place went completely silent. The natural, wild sounds and presence of the forest fauna were gone.
The user has entered [Illusionary Barrier/Instant Dungeon]: [Empty ID]!
Say or think 'Status' to bring up your [Status] window.
"Status", I quietly spoke. Immediately, a screen soon appears right after, displaying my [Status] as I took the time to view it all.

Stat Points: 10
Currency: 文0 (Mon)
"Hmm... So far, my stats seem fairly decent, I think..." Then again, I'm not too sure how strong, or rather low-leveled, I am in comparison to the other people here. This gives me little reference at the moment, which will certainly change once I understand where I stand here in Gensokyo in the future.
Looking at my [Base Stats], both my Strength (STR), Endurance (END), and Vitality (VIT) appear to be my weakest stats right now, each of them sitting at 5 points.
Curiously, I softly tapped my finger on STR as a new, smaller screen was displayed, showing basic information about the stat. I then did the same for the rest of my [Base Stats] too. Quickly reading through each stat's description.
Base Stats:
STR - Strength. This stat measures the amount of physical strength you possess. It also affects how much you can lift, push, etc.
END - Endurance. This stat governs the maximum amount of Health (HP) and Stamina (SP) you possess. It also affects your HP and SP recovery (HP/SP Regen).
VIT - Vitality. This stat governs the maximum amount of Ki energy (KI) you possess as well as your recovery (KI Regen). This also affects your resistance against physical and Ki-based attacks (PHY/KI Res).
DEX - Dexterity. This stat measures your overall speed, reflexes, reaction time, body awareness, and aptitude for acrobatics and flexibility.
INT - Intelligence. This stat governs your memory, learning speed, and the maximum amount of Mana (MP) and Psychic Energy (PE) you possess.
WIS - Wisdom. This stat governs your ability to make correct decisions, and how you use your knowledge. This also affects your MP and PE Recovery (MP/PE Regen) and your resistance against magic and psychic powers (MAG/PSY Res).
CHA - Charisma. This stat governs your ability to interact and communicate with people, your way with people, and how you appear to people. This also affects your appearance and strength of your will.
LUK - Luck. This stat governs your overall luck which can affect the probability of many things from the rate and quality of [Item Drops, to increasing the chances of [Critical Hits, etc.
As for the rest of my stats, my INT sits at 14, with WIS not far behind at 13. I also have 9 points in Dexterity (DEX).
Sadly, my Luck (LUK) sits at 6, while my Charisma (CHA) stands as my highest and possibly the only impressive stat I got, with a total of 35!
My eyes are then drawn to my secondary stats as I first tapped on them and read through each one.
Secondary Stats:
HP - Health Points. This stat shows the maximum amount of Health Points (HP) you possess. This stat represents your health and determines how much damage you've taken. Once your HP is reduced to 0, you will die. It is affected by your END stat.
SP - Stamina Points. This stat shows the maximum amount of Stamina Points (SP) you possess. SP represents your natural physical energy or stamina within your body and allows the user to use Stamina-based [Skills] or abilities that require SP. It is affected by your END stat.
MP - Mana Points. The stat shows the maximum amount of Mana Points (MP) you possess. MP represents the Mana energy that flows within your body and can potentially be manipulated to perform Magic or Mana-based skills or abilities. It is affected by your INT stat.
KI - Ki. This stat shows the maximum amount of Ki energy (KI) you possess. KI represents the natural spiritual energy that flows through your entire body and can be used to perform spiritual or Ki-based skills or abilities. It is affected by your VIT stat.
PE - Psychic Energy. This stat shows the maximum amount of Psychic energy (PE) you possess. PE represents the psionic or psychic energy of the mind and grants the user the ability to perform psionic or psychic-based skills or abilities. It is affected by the INT stat.
Phy. Res - Physical Resistance. This stat represents your natural durability or resistance against physical-based damage, minimizing the amount of damage you have sustained. It is affected by your VIT stat.
Mag. Res - Magical Resistance. This stat represents your natural resistance against Magic-based attacks or effects, minimizing the amount of magical damage you have sustained. It is affected by your WIS stat.
Ki. Res - Ki Resistance. This stat represents your body's resistance against spiritual or Ki-based attacks or abilities, minimizing the amount of spiritual damage you have sustained. It is affected by your VIT stat.
Psy. Res - Psychic Resistance. This stat represents your natural resistance against psionic or psychic-based attacks or effects, minimizing the amount of psychic damage you have sustained. It is affected by your WIS stat.
HP Regen - HP Regeneration. This stat represents the amount of Health (HP) your body can naturally recover or heal over time. It is affected by your END stat.
SP Regen - SP Regeneration. This stat represents the amount of Stamina (SP) your body can naturally recover over time. It is affected by your END stat.
MP Regen - MP Regeneration. This stat represents the amount of Mana (MP) your body can naturally produce or recover over time. It is affected by your WIS stat.
KI Regen - KI Regeneration. This stat represents the amount of Spiritual or Ki energy (KI) your body can naturally produce or recover over time. It is affected by your VIT stat.
PE Regen - Regeneration. This stat represents the amount of Psionic or Psychic Energy (PE) your body can naturally produce or recover over time. It is affected by your WIS stat.
After reading through all that and looking at my status, both HP and SP are as expected, given that I'm currently Level 1.
However, my MP appears to be my most impressive stat. But once more, it isn't too surprising considering I'm a [Fairy].
Unfortunately, my KI is my lowest stat. Not that it would really matter, as I'd be unable to use Ki energy anyway. The same goes for my Psychic Energy (PE) as well. I don't have much to say about my RES and Regen stats, though.
Overall, my stats aren't too bad, really. But I'm sure I can grow in the future, as I've got [The Gamer] ability after all. And so, without wasting more time and continued with the [Tutorial].
Stats can be increased by performing special actions, training, and completing [Quests] or by using Stat Points gained when Leveling Up (5 Stat Points per Level Up).
It's nice to know that, like in the original Gamer manhwa, I can naturally grow stronger and increase my base stats on my own through pure effort alone.
This means that, let's say, I want to increase my STR, END, and/or DEX. I'd be able to naturally increase those stats by exercising and conditioning my body, such as exerting force by doing push-ups and lifting weights to gain strength (STR), as well as jogging and performing rope jumping to increase my body's speed and flexibility (DEX).
Moreover, I may be able to increase both Intelligence (INT) and Wisdom (WIS) through reading, studying, and coming up with critical thinking, along with possessing understanding and making wise decisions, respectively. Or rather, I believe so, at least.
As for LUK and VIT, I'm not fully certain how to increase those stats in particular. Although I may have an idea of exactly how, I think.
LUK is primarily based on, well, Luck. So, naturally, I should be able to improve it by possibly winning games and/or performing activities that involve luck and chance, such as many of those gambling games like poker and roulette. Even simple games like 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' and rolling dice can contribute.
Actually, thinking about it, both slot machines and the many gacha games also count. And knowing that, shouldn't MY [Gacha System], which I no doubt have (seeing as one of the rewards for completing the [Tutorial] is [Gacha Tokens]), influence the chances of increasing my LUK as well?
You've gained +2 INT upon realizing this minor exploit!
"..."
I don't know why, but it almost felt as though I was being teased a little right there. Or that could just be me in my little head.
Anyway, as for my Charisma (CHA), that isn't really too much of a priority, seeing that it's already pretty high. In fact, it's my most impressive stat out of all of them, and upon reading the stat's description, it will no doubt help me in the long run.
Since CHA affects my ability to communicate, my appearance, and how I present myself, increasing this stat should allow me to get around when I eventually need to meet and talk to others.
Why? Because even if I'm a [Fairy] right now, my mind is still human for the most part. Human beings are social creatures that require some socializing with other individuals sometimes at least, as it's within their nature as living sentient beings after all. And for me, I'm no different, even when I've been reborn as an entirely different race.
In the end, I'm still myself. Even if only pieces of who I once was remain, as well as my own name.
For now, all I can do is focus on the present and start my life anew here, I guess...
As I'm pondering all this, I walk, stepping towards the pond once more within this [Empty ID]. I then stand there, looking down, my eyes drawn to my own face reflected on the pond's surface. A blank expression that seems familiar to me.
"Despite waking up in another world... even in a different body, no matter how unbelievable this all seems... That—this face I see. It's still the same old me. Or so I believe..." I softly speak, my voice calm yet tinted with slight confusion, as I kept staring at my reflection for a moment longer before I quickly shake my head. A sudden notification alerts me soon after...
You've gained +2 WIS!
"...hold on. Where was I going with this? Oh yeah! Charisma!" I can't believe I went off track like that.
Anyway, the Charisma stat is likely to increase by improving not just my charm and appeal, but also my appearance and how I present myself to other people.
However, with that done, my attention is then drawn towards the rest of my [Status]. Displaying the usual, that being: my [Name] or lack thereof, [Age], [Sex], and [Title], as well as my current [Status] state and [Race], where I would come to learn what kind of [Fairy] I am. A [Weather Fairy], which genuinely surprised and interested me quite a lot. There's also my [Occupation], and it's simply [The Gamer].
However, besides my [Level] obviously.being at 1, the other thing that caught my eye was [Karma], which is currently at 150, and I already a good idea of what this could be as I'm immediately hit with another screen that pretty much confirms it.
Karma - Karma is an attribute that measures your morality and character, determining whether you're good or evil. It can fluctuate based on your actions. A value of 0 or between -250 and 250 means that you're neutral or somewhere in the gray area that may blur the lines between being good and evil, while higher positive values indicate that you're more good, and higher negative values indicate that you're more evil. Your Karma can reach either a maximum positive or negative value of 5000. For better or worse, Karma can affect or influence many things in various ways.
As you would expect, the screen explains it all, and it would seem that I'm neutral, but leaning more towards being good, I suppose. Finally, I dismiss my away as I continue on with the [Tutorial].
Now that you've viewed your [Status], let's move on to accessing your [Skills]. Please say or think 'Skills'.
"Skills"

Okay. I get both [Gamer's Mind] and [Gamer's Body], as well as [Observe], right off the start. Three [Skills] that will prove incredibly useful for me in the long run. [Linguist] too, as being multilingual can also prove to be a great [Skill] should I need to learn, read, and speak other languages in the future. Now...
As for the other [Skills], [Mana Manipulation] is definitely an essential ability, as this will allow me to use my Mana (MP) and utilize Magic. It would be good for me to practice and get a feel for my Mana first before considering using any sort of Magic.
I then move on to my seven Magic [Skills], each one allowing me to create and manipulate elements and certain aspects that are most likely related to weather phenomena.
[Cloud Magic] allows me to create and manipulate clouds, and [Thermal Manipulation Magic] would basically allow me to generate and manipulate both hot and cold temperatures. Both of them have great potential once I learn to properly wield each.
All five of my elemental magics are no doubt great as well, granting me access to [Wind], [Lightning], [Water], [Ice], and [Light]. I can't help but feel excited to use them once I get used to manipulating mana.
Now that you've seen your [Skills], it's time to view your [Inventory]. Within your [Inventory], you are able to equip weapons, armor, and clothing to yourself. This will be shown on the left side of your screen. To open it, say or think 'Inventory'.
'Inventory,' I thought of it this time, and as I expected, my [Inventory] soon appeared before my eyes.
Similarly to the Manhwa, the screen mainly consisted of a multitude of boxes on the right, seemingly endless, while the left side showed a full-body 3D model of myself, displaying my current appearance, including my current attire, which was 'Equipped,' as represented by their respective icons placed in several boxes as well.
Looking at myself here, I appear to be around two and a half feet tall (2.5 ft), which is adorably short for a young child and very crushing to my own pride.
"For not only do I often feel small inside, but I now get to be small on the outside too! What joy..." I thought to myself, self-deprecation already evident in my voice regarding my new, small, child-like stature. "Is this what it feels like to have dwarfism? If so, I'm now starting to understand why for real..."
Now that you've seen your [Inventory], it's time to see your [Race/Racial Bonuses]. This will allow you to view information on your current Race and the Racial Bonuses that come with them. Simply say or think 'Race' or 'Racial Bonuses'.
"Race!"
Races:
[E] - Race: [Fairy (Touhou) - Weather Fairy] - Fairies are an immortal humanoid race of small, often adorable beings of magic and nature, typically resembling young female children or young female teens/adults. Fairies inhabit many areas within and outside the realm of Gensokyo and usually represent an aspect of nature. Often simple-minded creatures, fairies possess magical abilities that represent various forms or aspects of nature. They often play pranks on humans and other races and are generally considered weak.
Species: [Weather Fairy] - Weather Fairies are a species of fairies that possess a natural affinity for weather, capable of manipulating various magical abilities related to weather phenomena.
Weather Fairy Racial Bonus:
-Passively increase DEX, INT, WIS, and CHA by +25%
-Increase HP/SP/MP per END/INT by +25.
-Passively increase effect, damage, duration of Magic-based [Skills] by +25%
-Gain [Trait]: [Fairy Wings], [Immortality], [Nature's Connection], [Shrinking Form]
-Gain [Skill]: [Mana Manipulation], [Fairy Magic], [Cloud Magic], [Thermal Manipulation Magic], [Wind Magic], [Lightning Magic], [Water Magic], [Ice Magic], [Light Magic]
-Gain [Affinity]: [Wind], [Lightning], [Water], [Ice], [Light]
"Woah! That's...a lot."
Upon closer look, I can now see where most of the stat bonuses came from. I even get a +25% increase to my magic!
Other than the [Skills] I've gained here, I've also gotten a couple of [Traits] and [Affinities] as well. I'll probably learn more about those soon enough.
Now that you've seen your [Race/Racial Bonuses], you can now view your [Traits]. Say or think 'Traits' to bring it up.
"Traits"
Traits:
[Fairy Wings - Four Wings] (Passive)
Description: You possess two pairs of cloud-like, silver-glowing fairy wings on your back, which you can retract and summon forth at will, granting you the ability to fly.
-Allows the user to fly at DEX x 4 mph.
[Immortality] (Passive)
Description: As a fairy, you are ageless and will continue to exist only as long as the nature and concept of the weather is preserved, and should you perish, you will automatically be resurrected after a certain amount of time. Fairies also require no food or need for breathing to survive.
-Upon death or HP reaching 0, user will merely be placed out of commission and be resurrected/respawned after 24 hours have passed.
-Any [Items], [Weapons], [Armour], [Accessories] equipped will be dropped upon death. Everything stored within user's [Inventory] is left unaffected.
-Half of all your currencies will be dropped upon death or when HP reaches 0.
[Nature's Connection] (Passive)
Description: As a fairy sprung from the nature of weather, you share a connection to weather phenomena and may be affected by the current state of any weather around you.
[Shrinking Form] (Passive)
Description: Fairies have the natural ability to shrink their bodies into much smaller or tiny forms, usually to hide themselves from view.
The four [Fairy Wings] were a given as I turned my head, summoning forth my silvery, cloud-like wings. They honestly looked so soft to touch, like white cotton or wool, I think. It makes me wonder how they truly feel.
Then there's the fact that I'm immortal but can still technically die. From what I recall from the lore, all [Fairies] are tied to nature as its children, with each member of this [Race] representing a certain element, phenomenon, or aspect found within nature, ranging from the classic elements like [Fire], [Earth], [Water], and [Wind].
Emotions and feelings such as [Anger], [Sadness], and [Happiness], or even abstract concepts and natural phenomena like [Life], [Death], and [Stars].
So long as the nature they represent still exists, they'll just come right back after a day. For [Fairies] are magical beings born from nature itself. As such, a Fairy's whole existence is bound by that specific element and/or aspect of nature, for all Fairies are essentially children of nature.
As for why almost every Fairy character is primarily female... well, it's simple!
"...I don't freakin' know!" I'm not really sure. I mean, as far as I can remember from playing a few of the games and what little of the official lore I read, I've never once seen any sort of male [Fairy]. Not even a mention from what I've heard.
Again, I'm not too sure why that is. Maybe there really are male ones, and they're just never mentioned, or they just don't exist at all, and I'm just the strange exception to it. Who knows? I'll probably get my answer soon enough in the future.
Unfortunately, I'll lose whatever stuff I currently have on me and half my money should I actually get killed (which is very likely).
Naturally, it's best to tread carefully and avoid any potential trouble that may come across here in this place. Also, I can apparently shrink myself to a smaller size.
At first, the ability to become smaller sounded useful for me as I thought about being able to sneak and hide through smaller places like cracks and tiny holes.
However, I then realized that it would probably be useless against people who are capable of sensing energy or possess some form of sensory ability. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have other potential uses, both within and outside of combat, if MCU Ant-Man had taught me anything.
Now that you've seen your [Traits], your next step now is bringing up your [Perks]. Please say or think 'Perks'.
"Perks"
Perks:
[Childish Charm] (Passive)
Description: You possess a certain charm that makes you appear both cute and childish to others.
-Allows you to appear young or childish before others.
-Increases CHA by +100%
"Welp. That also explains my high CHA and why I'm cute too. Next, please."
You've seen your [Perks]; now it's time to view your [Titles]! Please say or think 'Titles'.
'Titles'
Titles:
[E] - [Male Fairy of Weather]
Description: You are possibly the only known male Fairy in Gensokyo as well as being the Fairy representing the natural aspect of weather phenomena, making you a rather unique and special specimen of your kind.
-Increase CHA by +25%
-Increase Affection and Reputation with Fairies or Fairy-like beings by +50%
-Increase Affection and Reputation with other Races by +25%
"Wait... Does this sort of confirm that I am the only male Fairy here?" That does make me sound special, but probably not by much, most likely.
Why? I mean, I'm still just a [Fairy] here in Gensokyo, a fantastical land filled with an incredibly wide variety of mythological and magical beings, and one where members of my supposed kind are treated more or less as weak fodder or a joke by the many other races of [Yokai] and humans.
Knowing this, I highly doubt I'll be anything too special in their eyes. Maybe as an oddball case of slight fascination or short-term bizarre intrigue for a while before eventually losing its surprising charm. Fortunately for me, I'm used to that sort of thing.
Next, it's time to view your [Affinity]! This will allow you to view a list of your [Affinities] to which you are naturally attuned with. Say or think 'Affinity' to open it up!
'Affinity'

Now that you've seen your [Affinity Menu], it's time to finish this [Tutorial] by accessing your [Quest Log].
But before that, you must give yourself a [Name]! Please say or think your new name.
For the next few minutes, I tried to come up with my name. However, for some reason, I found myself unable to think of anything right now.
"Actually, hold on. Inventory!" Bringing up my [Inventory] screen, I looked at my own appearance.
Upon getting a closer look at myself, seeing my silver-white hair, my mind suddenly thought of Hiroshi from [Ao Oni] and Lugh Tuatha Dé from [World's Finest Assassin].
"...!" There, a name soon came to mind, and I've decided to call myself...
"...Hiroshi Kokoro!"
You've chosen the [Name]: [Hiroshi Kokoro]. Are you sure? Y/N
Without a second thought, I immediately tapped 'Y' and officially named myself as I looked above my head and saw it.
-The Gamer-
Lvl 1. [Hiroshi Kokoro]. [Male Fairy of Weather].
Now that you've named yourself, it's time to finish this [Tutorial] by accessing your [Quest Log]. [Quests] accepted are displayed here and will allow you to keep track of your progress with them. You know the drill: say or think 'Quests.'
"Quests"
Upon uttering the command, the [Quest Log] screen appears, displaying a single [Quest] that shows '[Tutorial: How To Play!]' at the top, with '(Complete!)' appearing right beside it. The [Quest] has been completed.
~[Ending BGM]: [Soul's Resting Place] - [Touhou Project (5): Mystic Square]~

You've gained 文4000!

You've gained [Track]: [Soul's Resting Place] - [Touhou Project (5): Mystic Square]!
Congratulations! You've completed the [Tutorial]. Do you wish to leave the [Empty ID]? Y/N
...
I decided not to leave yet, tapping 'N' as I sat down on the grass and thought about what to do next.
"Okay... I'm still inside this [ID]. For now, I should probably get started on learning more about my current abilities," I thought to myself, once more bringing up my [Inventory] and taking out my rewards, placing them on the ground as I began practicing my [Skills], starting with the [Bestiary Databook].
"[Observe!]" I said, casting [Observe] for the first time.
[Bestiary Databook] - DEF: N/A/DUR: N/A
Description: A powerful book capable of recording information and data on any [Monsters], [Races], and other beings encountered. It is bound to the soul of [The Gamer] and can be recalled at any time.
-Records data on [Monsters], [Races], and other entities.
-Can be recalled by the user at will.
Picking up the Bestiary itself, it appeared to be a thick, home-like book, bound in dark blue leather-like material that felt both durable and smooth. The words "Bestiary Databook" are labeled on the front cover.
However, upon opening the first few pages, I found that all of them were completely blank.
"Makes sense, since I've yet to fight any monsters." Saying that, I simply put it back into my [Inventory]. My eyes were drawn towards the two [Skill Books].
The first book appeared as a red tome with what looked like a magic circle on the front, adorned with arcane-like symbols, while the other book was white with an ethereal purple sphere on the front cover.
Without a word, I picked up both books in my hands. Two screens appeared soon after.
You've acquired [Skill Book]: [Danmaku (Touhou)]! Do you wish to learn [Skill]? Y/N
You've acquired [Skill Book]: [ID Manipulation]! Do you wish to learn [Skill]? Y/N
Tapping 'Y' to both screens, I watched both books burst into motes of blue light before beings absorbed into my my body. I could feel the knowledge being transferred into my mind.
You've gained the [Skill]: [Danmaku (Touhou)]!
You've gained the [Skill]: [ID Manipulation]
[Danmaku (Touhou Project)] (Passive) Level: 1 - EXP: 0%
Description: [Danmaku] is a unique form of supernatural martial arts widely practiced by the inhabitants of Gensokyo. It involves the user performing complex patterns of dozens to hundreds of projectiles or bullets, as well as their skill in dodging and weaving through projectiles. Under the Spell Card rules, Danmaku duels are not to the death but are ritualized and aestheticized sparring matches with agreed-upon conditions for winning and losing.
-Allows the user to dodge or evade projectiles.
-Passively increases damage of user's projectiles or bullets by 1% x Skill Level.
-Passively increases DEX by 2% x Skill Level.
[ID Manipulation] (Active) Level: 1 - EXP: 0% - Cost: 20MP
Description: This [Skill] allows the user to create and escape Instant Dungeons. Stronger Instant Dungeons may be created at higher levels.
-[ID Create]
-[ID Escape]
Available Dungeons:
-[Empty]
-[Slime]
And with that, I now possess the ability to create and escape [IDs]. Also, seeing as I've currently only got two types, I plan on entering the [Slime ID] sometime. But for now, I decide to prepare myself first.
I then turn my attention towards the pile of berries—ten to be exact. I pick one of the round blue berries in my hand, closely examining it and using [Observe] on it.
[Food/PKMN Berry]: [Oran Berry (PKMN)]
Description: A small, round, and vibrant blue berry resembles an orange with a small light blue or green stem. It has a wondrous mix of flavors that spread in the mouth.
-Recovers 25HP when consumed.
-Can be directly planted and grow on fertile soil.
"Honestly, it kinda resembles a blue orange," I commented, feeling the berry's soft texture within my palm. "It even feels like one a little..."
Not wanting them to lose their freshness, I put them all back into my [Inventory]. I then took out the five blue token coins with a 'G' on both sides in my hand: the [Gacha Tokens].
Personally, I'm not too into [Gacha] games, but I can understand the appeal of them. Hell, I've once played [Lost Word]!
To spin the [Gacha], simply crush your [Gacha Token(s)]!
Now, I thought about using a few of them right now; however, I instead stopped myself and placed them back into my [Inventory]. Otherwise, I'd most likely just gain something either trashy or useless.
It's best to save them up and improve my LUK first before doing that sort of thing.
Now... What should I do next?
Do You Believe in Magic?
The day was still bright and young, even when inside here in this [Empty ID], and I decided to get started on learning more about my own abilities.
Specifically, my own magical power, and I should start by figuring out how to use my Magic.
Opening and looking through my list of [Skills], I then spot [Mana Manipulation], one I've already had right from the start, and decide to practice the [Skill] first.
With that thought in mind, I try closing my eyes and focus. Deep inside my body, I can feel something: a natural sort of mystical energy within my being, circulating through my whole body.
I'm not sure how to quite describe it, but what I can say is that it feels like there's a small stream within me, flowing through my body. Not necessarily in a physical sense, but more in a spiritual and instinctual kind of way, if that makes any sense. At least I believe it does...
Slowly opening my eyes, I'm left stunned and mesmerized as I watch the blue ethereal color of Mana flowing through my whole body, and yet, I remain calm. Relaxed, even as I witness my whole body enveloped in a faint, light blue glow of magical power.
I then raised my right hand forward and, as if out of instinct, began willing the flow of mana within my body. Guiding the flow of magical energy directly through my hand, I watched as it was slowly enveloped in a brighter light blue glow.
With deep focus, I began manifesting my mana, slowly forming a small sphere made of mana in the palm of my hand.
However, I soon saw it begin to shake in my right hand. This immediately caused me to raise my other hand in slight panic, barely keeping the small bolt of mana in place between both my palms before launching it straight forward. However, the force behind it also pushed me backward, causing my small body to land harshly and form a small trench through the dirt, almost in a comical fashion.
Of course, I still managed to watch the bolt of mana fly a fair distance through the air and strike a nearby tree, punching a small hole into its wooden surface.
"Still... I guess my body's much lighter than I thought; I gotta work on that and be careful next time," I thought, my small child-like body still hurting, if only a little sore, and my clothes looking a bit ruffled and dirty. "I should've expected it, though."
You've gained the [Spell]: [Mana Bolt]!
-[Mana Bolt] (Active) Cost: 15 MP - Allows the user to fire a small bolt of magical energy from their hands. It deals magical damage equal to 150% of (INT x Skill Level).
"My first ever [Spell]..." marking also my first ever use of [Magic], and I couldn't help but let the wide, exciting grin spread across my face. "I mean, I just did [Magic]! This is awesome!"
"Y'know what? I wanna keep going at it!" As I said that, a notification soon appeared and showed me a [Quest], which, after reading the rewards, I excitedly accepted.
[Quest]: [Magic Practice!]
Description: Practice manipulating your [Mana] and using [Magic]!
-Manage to successfully perform 25 [Spells] without fail! []
-Create at least 1-2 new [Spells]! []
Penalty: None.
Reward: 文100, 50 EXP, [+2 INT and WIS], [Rod/Scepter]: [Wooden Spell Wand], [Food/PKMN Berry]: [Pecha Berry (PKMN)] x5
Immediately, I once more raised both my hands forward, glowing with mana gathering into my palms, as I proceeded to fire more [Mana Bolts]. However, this time I was prepared and carefully planted my little feet firmly on the ground, hoping I wouldn't get blown back again.
"[Mana Bolt!]" For the second time, I successfully shot forth another small bolt of mana energy straight ahead, hoping to strike the same tree as before. Sadly, I wasn't as lucky this time, as I saw my [Mana Bolt] swirling mid-flight and missing the tree entirely.
I wasn't discouraged, though. It was a minor thing, but one that fueled me with determination to improve my control over my own Mana as I continued firing more [Mana Bolts]. I was slowly getting a better handle on controlling the Mana in my body as I kept firing bolt after bolt. I fired a total of 24 [Mana Bolts], which made me fall on my hands and knees, leaving me a little winded by the end of it.
"Out of twenty-four shots, I've managed to hit the mark nine times while missing the rest." I then opened my [Status] and saw that I was left with less than half of my MP—406 to be exact.
"I definitely want to increase my mana reserves, but I still managed to improve." Saying that, I grinned as I saw the results of my efforts pay off.
[Mana Manipulation] has Leveled Up! 1 =} 2
[Danmaku (Touhou Project)] has Leveled Up! 1 =} 2
Okay. With the first objective finished, I then move on to the second. This one requires me to create one or two [Spells] of my own, and I have no clue where to start at first. That was until I quickly realized the other forms of [Magic] in my arsenal of [Skills].
Seeing this as an opportunity to learn more about them, I decide to start off with [Cloud Magic] and [Wind Magic].
Closing my eyes, I began concentrating, with Magic Power flowing through my hands as I tried to use my [Cloud Magic].
As if by instinct, I could feel the gathered Mana energy in my hands begin to change. I watched the light-blue glow of Magic slowly take on a soft white hue before further transforming into wisps of white clouds and vapor radiating off both hands, my eyes widening in deep amazement at what I was witnessing. A notification came soon after.
You've gained the [Cloud Magic Spell]: [Create Cloud]
-[Create Cloud] (Active) Cost: MP Varies - Grants the user the ability to generate or create clouds born from magic. The number of clouds created and their strength depend on the amount of MP used, and the user's Skill Level, and they can be manipulated by the user.
However, I didn't stop there; I then continued to experiment further with this, pouring more mana and generating more wisps of white clouds, gathering them all together and forming them into the puffy shape of a ball.
Cautiously, I held the ball of cloud in both hands. It felt very soft, like cotton, yet very solid and bouncy. Much like rubber, but tougher too.
Curious, I casually threw the ball downward as I watched it hit and bounce off the ground, returning in my direction before I caught it like a dodgeball. Surprisingly, it pushed me back a bit with some force behind it, but not too much.
You've gained the [Cloud Magic Spell]: [Cloud Ball]
-[Cloud Ball] (Active) Cost: 50 MP - Allows the user to create strong and bouncy balls made of cloud, capable of easily bouncing or ricocheting off surfaces and other clouds like rubber, and attacking enemies. Deals magical Wind damage equal to (STR x (INT x Skill Level)).
[Quest]: [Magic Practice!] (Complete!)
You've gained gained 50EXP!
You've Leveled Up! 2 =} 3
You've gained +5 Stat Points!
You've gained 文100!
You've gained +2 INT and WIS!
Reward:
[Wand]: [Wooden Spell Wand]
[Food/PKMN Berry]: [Pecha Berry (PKMN)] x5
Upon receiving my rewards, I immediately took out the [Wooden Spell Wand] and a single [Pecha Berry], and then I cast [Observe] on the wand, gleaming whatever information I could get from it.
[Rod/Scepter]: [Wooden Spell Wand] - ATK: 1/DUR: 10/10
Description: A basic magic wand for beginner spellcasters. Carved from simple wood and imbued with [Magic].
-Allows for easier yet stiff spellcasting. Easily breakable.
-Increases effect, damage, and duration of [Spells/Magic] by +6%.
As for the wand itself, it looked like one of those generic wooden wands you'd see in fantasy.
At first glance, it just seemed like some stick with a sharp tip at one end. Nothing about it gave off the impression that it was magical in any particular way. However, after closer inspection, I could definitely feel some magic faintly being emitted from it.
Wanting to test it out, I held it firmly in my hand as I pointed towards the same tree I had been using up to this point. I then focused my own magic power, guiding it through the wand; it began emitting a faint glow.
But this time, rather than clouds, I once more looked into my being and started harnessing my [Wind Magic] skill.
Initially, it felt stiff; however, I quickly found myself getting the hang of it. The faint light-blue hue of my wand soon changed into a light-green glow, and a small green magic circle formed on the tip of the wand, generating a soft breeze of fresh air.
You've gained the [Wind Magic Spell]: [Create Wind]!
-[Create Wind] (Active) Cost: MP Varies - Grants the user the ability to generate or create winds born from magic. The amount of wind or air created and its strength depend on the amount of MP used and the user's skill level, and it can be manipulated by the user.
With a little smirk, I concentrated. This time, I gathered wind into a single point, much like the [Mana Bolt], and formed a small sphere of light green wind before firing it toward the already worn tree. The bolt of wind tore through the weakened wood, causing it to fall to the ground with a resounding 'THUD!'.
You've gained the [Wind Magic Spell]: [Wind Bolt]!
-[Wind Bolt] (Active) Cost: 15 MP - Allows the user to fire a small bolt of wind from their hands. It deals magical wind damage equal to 150% of (INT x Skill Level).
I then turned towards a random shrub, focusing wind through my wand before sending a gust of rushing wind at the shrub, causing some of its leaves to be blown away from the force.
Through a special action, you've gained the [Skill]: [Wand Mastery]!
[Rod/Scepter Mastery] (Passive) Level: 1 - EXP: 0%
Description: Throughout history and fiction, rods or scepters have been used as tools by various people for harnessing magic or other powers, serving as a conduit and/or focus like wands, and in some cases, as blunt weapons. This skill allows you to wield any kind of [Rod/Scepter] with ease.
-Grants the user the ability to carry a [Rod/Scepter] with ease.
-Passively increases the effect, damage, and duration of magical, spiritual, and psychic abilities or [Skills] dealt with a [Rod/Scepter] by 5% x Skill Level.
-Passively increases the physical damage dealt with a [Rod/Scepter] by 5% x Skill Level.
You've gained the [Wind Magic Spell]: [Gust]!
-[Gust] (Active) Cost: 25 MP - Allows the user to send a gust of wind to attack and push back foes. Deals magical Wind damage equal to 200% of (INT x Skill Level). May inflict [Knockback].
Witnessing all this, I just can't help it. [Magic]. No parlour tricks, just pure, real fantasy. [Magic] is awesome!
Not knowing how to properly express the rush of joy and wonder in my heart, I simply laughed and laughed some more. Waving and aiming my wand around, firing off [Spells] without a care in the world as I allowed myself to enjoy all of this. An adorably large grin was on my face as I continued laughing joyfully and having fun, not much different from your usual fairies up to their childish mischief.
Launching bolts of mana and gusts of wind around me, I take aim and fire at any nearby rocks and trees. I've even created a few [Cloud Balls] as I mess around, playing bouncing ball to myself. It honestly makes me feel like a child again, which, I guess I am now, technically speaking (at least by human standards).
I would eventually exhaust nearly my entire MP reserves as I sat down, panting as I tried to catch my breath. I then looked around and saw the aftermath of wild actions: trees torn apart, with a few having fallen down, and rocks reduced to piles of pieces, as if a small hurricane had passed by.
Checking my [Inventory], I took out a single [Pecha Berry]. The berry itself resembled a peach with a light-pink hue. Anyone who has played [Pokémon] since Gen III would know what these berries do, but I still used [Observe] on it.
[Food/PKMN Berry]: [Pecha Berry (PKMN)]
Description: A small, fleshy fruit resembling a light pink peach, featuring a sweet, tender, and somewhat delicate texture, with a slight pointed tip at the bottom. It is a widely useful berry capable of curing a variety of poisons and venomous substances within the body.
-Removes the [Poisoned] Status Effect, cleansing the body of various poisons and venoms.
-Can be directly planted and will grow in fertile soil.
Based on its description, it can heal poisons and venoms. However, I am wondering to what extent exactly it can do this. For example, could it also cure poisonous substances born from powerful [Magics] and [Curses], such as potent poisons from, let's say, [Poison Dragon Slayer Magic]? If so, this could prove to be more useful; if not, then I'll still have a way to cure myself of some poisons in the future.
Not only that, I could use these along with the [Oran Berries] as ingredients for other potential uses, likely for potion-making or medical purposes, as well as possibly selling them for a good price should I decide to visit the [Human Village].

[Rod/Scepter Mastery] has Leveled Up! 1 =} 2
Looking up, I can still see past the dense trees and leaves to the afternoon blue sky. The white clouds high above float there like cotton candy.
Then, I felt something inside me begin to stir: a strange desire, a yearning feeling of wanting to reach out toward that beautiful blue sky among the soft, comfortable clouds and feel the clean wind against my sweet face...
Without realizing it, or even stopping myself, I suddenly raised and stretched my right arm out, as if I were trying to reach toward the skies above. Not long after, I felt a tingling sensation on my back as my two pairs of [Fairy Wings] sprouted forth—wings made from soft, silver-white clouds and something fundamentally magical. Without thinking, I felt my small body being lifted off the ground as I began slowly floating, levitating higher toward that lovely sky. Mesmerizing, I was drawn to it in ways beyond simple human thought.
~[Playing BGM]: [this is what floating feels like] - [JVKE, Tori Kelly]~
"What is this...?" I thought to myself, soaring higher and higher into the blue sky, my eyes still drawn to the horizon as I now found myself above the Forest of Magic. My small frame felt light and weightless up here in the air. "It feels like I'm floating in a dream; except, this isn't a dream at all...!"
It wouldn't be long before I was floating up close among the clouds, feeling the sunlight and the wind kissing my body, sending a strange yet natural sense of joy and comfort for some reason I can't quite put into words.
"I can't believe I'm actually flying! Is this what it means to be free?" I pondered the thought while I continued floating about, casually soaring through the clouds, hands forward while still holding my wand, as if I were Superman. I took in the beauty of the sights around and below me, gazing upon the damp forest.
The feeling of flying alone was truly amazing, exhilarating as I proceeded to try and perform loop-de-loops as well as doing barrel rolls, with each attempt done to varying degrees of success. I often ended up crashing into the surrounding clouds, but I wasn't really scared at all!
If anything, I felt more alive than I had ever been—way more compared to when I was human! When was the last time I felt this much joy in my previous life?
Crash-landing headfirst into yet another cloud, I popped right on top, staying there as I began scooping up a big piece of cloud into my free hand and clutching it, feeling the soft, warm, fabric-like texture against my palm, much like the clouds born from my own magic.
Suddenly, an idea came to mind, and I started activating my [Cloud Magic] through my wand. I then tried to will the piece of cloud in my other hand, carefully molding its form into various shapes, mostly simple shapes such as cubes and pyramids, showing me that I could also manipulate other clouds as well.
My mind soon drifted toward my other magic. Realizing this, I simply stood straight as I started conjuring my magical power once more. Mana flowed through my arm and hand, then focused into my wand; a small blue magic circle formed at the tip of it, emitting magical energy.
Closing my eyes, I then proceeded to clear my mind, visualizing the image of water and slowly willing my desire to create it, pouring mana energy into the circle.
Upon opening my eyes, I watched the magic circle take on a light-blue hue as water began to come out of the circle, which was then followed by me moving the volume of water around, using my wand to guide it. The sight once again left me ecstatic.
Not quite finished, I then willed the volume of water together into an orb shape before firing the bolt of water straight forward, similarly to the [Mana Bolt] and [Wind Bolt] spells.
You've gained the [Water Magic Spells]: [Create Water] and [Water Bolt]!
-[Create Water] (Active) Cost: MP Varies - Grants the user the ability to generate or create water born from magic. The amount of water created and its strength depend on the amount of MP used and the user's Skill Level, and it can be manipulated by the user.
-[Water Bolt] (Active) Cost: 15 MP - Allows the user to fire a small bolt of water from their hands. It deals magical water damage equal to 150% of (INT x Skill Level).
Another idea came to me, and I soon began moving my wand, creating small marble-sized balls of water, compressing and solidifying each one before simultaneously firing them all at once. I watched the small water bullets flying at fast speeds, possibly comparable to the speed and force of actual bullets!
However, I didn't stop there; I continued firing a rapid barrage of the marble-sized water bullets and practiced aiming them at specific clouds from various distances, all while a smirk began forming on my face.
You've gained the [Water Magic Spell]: [Water Bullet]!
-[Water Bullet] (Active) Cost: 5 MP - Allows the user to fire bullets of water to attack from a distance. Each water bullet deals magical and piercing Water damage equal to (INT x Skill Level).
Each of my [Water Pellets] was much smaller and lighter compared to a [Water Bolt], but it had only half the attack power.
I then did the same with pure Mana energy itself and [Wind Magic], aiming and firing off shots of magical bullets in multiple directions.
You've gained the [Spells]: [Mana Bullet] and [Wind Bullet]!
-[Mana Bullet] (Active) Cost: 5 MP - Allows the user to fire bullets of Mana energy to attack from a distance. Each bullet deals magical and piercing damage equal to (INT x Skill Level).

I kept practicing with my other types of [Magic] up here in the clouds. This time, I put my wand aside as I began channeling the power of both lightning and ice, each in both my hands, with electricity dancing across my right hand and small ice crystals forming in my left hand, respectively. I then thrust both hands forward, launching two small orbs of ice and lightning.
Immediately, I poured more magical power into both my [Lightning Magic] and [Ice Magic]. My right hand crackled with more electricity while generating more ice in my left hand, forming three javelins made of ice.
Thrusting my right hand, I released a strong jolt of electricity, hurling it across the air, accompanied by the sound of thunder. I then followed it up by thrusting my other hand, sending the sharp ice javelins flying across the sky, piercing through the air and clouds.
You've gained the [Spells]: [Create Electricity], [Electric Bolt], [Thunder Shock], [Create Ice], [Ice Bolt], and [Ice Javelin]!
-[Create Electricity] (Active) Cost: MP Varies - Grants the user the ability to generate or create electricity born from magic. The amount of electricity created and its strength depend on the amount of MP used and the user's Skill Level, and it can be manipulated by the user.

When wielded or thrown (by hand), it deals magical and piercing ice damage equal to 200% of (((STR + ATK) x INT) x Skill Level). May inflict [Bleeding] effect.
Satisfied, I simply stood there in the air, smiling as this left me trying out the last two types of Magic in my set of [Skills]: [Thermal Manipulation Magic] and [Light Magic]!
Having slowly gotten the feel of Magic, I began manifesting the flow of Mana through my hands, transforming the magical energies. Both my hands were soon enveloped in both forms of temperature, with cold, freezing blue energy being generated on my left hand while red-hot heat energy began radiating off my right hand. I then thrust both my hand forward into finger-guns, simultaneously firing bullets of red and blue energy.
You've gained the [Thermal Manipulation Magic Spell]: [Create Heat/Cold], [Heat Bullet] and [Cold Bullet]!
-[Create Heat/Cold] (Active) Cost: MP Varies - Grants the user the ability to generate heat and/or cool temperatures or energy born from magic. -[Cold Bullet] (Active) Cost: 5 MP - Grants the user the ability to fire bullets of cold energy at foes from a distance. It deals magical cold damage equal to (INT x Skill Level).
With a cheeky grin on my cute face, I then held my palm and began manifesting the power of [Light Magic] through my right hand, still in a finger-gun gesture and enveloped in a shining light-yellow glow, firing multiple magic bullets made of light from the tip of my index finger.
You've gained the [Light Magic Spell]: [Light Bullet]!
-[Light Bullet] (Active) Cost: 6 MP - Grants the user the ability to fire bullets of Light energy at foes from a distance. It deals magical Light damage equal to (INT x Skill Level).
Seeing my hand in such a gesture suddenly gave me an idea, as it made me recall a certain signature move from [YuYu Hakusho]. A truly classic Shonen anime made by the same author of [Hunter x Hunter], as I'm struck with inspiration.
With my right hand still in a gun-like gesture, I then held and raised said hand by the wrist, aiming straight ahead as I began pouring a large amount of mana into the tip of my index finger, magical light gathering into a single point.
I kept pouring and focusing more [Light Magic] into my fingertip before finally releasing it all at once, firing a large blast of yellow light as I watched it streak through the sky at high speeds. The force of the blast pierced through the clouds and far into the distance, flying farther away until I could no longer see it.
You've gained the [Light Magic Spell]: [Light Gun]!
-[Light Gun] (Active) Cost: MP Varies - a powerful spell that allows the user to pour mana and charge intense light energy into a single point of the user's hand, specifically the tip of the index finger, in a gun-like gesture, before releasing all the gathered light energy at once, unleashing a large blast of Light Magic by mentally "pulling the trigger." The user can increase the size and power of the blast by pouring more MP/Light Magic. For every 200 MP, the user can fire a destructive beam of light that deals magical Light damage equal to 400% of (INT x Skill Level). For every additional 125 MP, the user can increase the size and damage of the beam by 250% of (INT x Skill Level). It may cause [Knockback/Blowback].
"Hah...!" Panting, I stood there in the middle of the air, feeling exhausted after using a strong [Spell] like this for the first time, even draining a great amount of my MP reserve.
"To think... Man. That actually took a lot out of me and my MP! It's best... best that I save this kind of move for stronger foes in the future..." I thought as I decided to gently return to the ground, landing carefully with my feet touching the earth.
"But still, [Magic] is pretty damn awesome!" I said out loud, letting out a sudden, cute fit of excited and joyful laughter. However, I couldn't help but slowly feel tired, both mentally and physically.
I then looked back up at the sky, seeing that blue sky turning orange with the sun beginning to set slowly.
With the day soon coming to an end, I once more began lifting myself off the ground with my two pairs of [Fairy Wings] out as I started flying quickly through the forest, searching for lots of sticks, leaves, and branches.
It took a while, but I was able to bring back quite a big pile, putting it all into my [Inventory] and having amassed a total of about 25 branches, 54 sticks, and 86 leaves, from freshly green ones to old, brownish ones.
I then took the time to find a safe enough area, making sure to avoid any of the fungi here in the Forest of Magic within this [Empty ID]. The sun drew further away from the horizon as the darkness of night was soon approaching.
Fortunately, I managed to find a relatively nice spot deep in this damp forest with just the right amount of shade while being illuminated enough by moonlight, allowing me to see well under the calm night sky.
As for me, I now found myself settling underneath the shade of a pretty big tree as I began to prepare a fire. I picked up a bunch of stones and formed a ring, then brought out two branches and a dozen sticks from my [Inventory], dropping them into the center before taking out five leaves in my right hand.
I then started using my [Thermal Manipulation Magic] as I proceeded to light up the pointed end of each leaf, generating some heat on my left hand's index finger, watching the leaves catch fire and carefully placing them next to the wood in the center of the ring of stones. The wood soon lit up and caught fire as well, thus successfully creating my first-ever fire on my own and bringing a proud smile to my face.
I simply sat down on my knees, close to the fire, as I slowly brought both hands in front of me, feeling the warmth against my small, child-like body. It felt pretty nice like this.
Letting out a yawn, I already felt sleepy. Not too surprising, considering everything that had happened today. [Gamer's Mind] may be able to calm my mind and keep me sane, but it doesn't erase mental exhaustion or fatigue...
As such, I really just want to go to sleep right about now. So, after taking off my clothes, I proceeded to wash myself, using [Water Magic] to create water to wash away the filth I may have gotten on my body. Sadly, I lack any sort of soap at the moment.
I then immediately put my clothes back on and used my [Cloud Magic] to essentially attempt to create a soft, comfy blanket made of pure white cloud in my hands. Using [Thermal Manipulation Magic], I began concentrating as I tried to transfer a little heat into the cloud blanket. After a few attempts, I managed to succeed, which also resulted in me gaining two new [Spells]: [Cloud Blanket] and [Thermal Transfer].
Of course, I also create a big fluffy pillow made up of cloud, transferring a bit of heat too. Promptly laying myself onto the ground, my head hitting face first into the soft, cozy cloud pillow.
I can already feel my eyes closing, my consciousness slowly giving way to sleep as everything begins to fade into darkness. Barely catching a glimpse of notifications that had appeared...

Unknown Location...
-Yukari Yakumo POV-
Elsewhere, within the Land of Illusions, she felt it. She sat there on one of her gaps, revealing a multitude of unblinking crimson eyes high above the starry night sky.
Her mysterious violet eyes narrowed as they overlooked the very lands below her, as if searching for something.
Considered one of the most powerful Yokai and one of the founding great Sages of Gensokyo, she was known by both humans and Yokai as the [Youkai of Boundaries].
Earlier today, she had sensed a powerful disturbance here in Gensokyo—one that had piqued her curiosity, the source originating from the Forest of Magic as she took her time.
Unfortunately, by the time she arrived, it had already disappeared without a trace. However, she could also sense the presence of a pocket dimension of some kind.
Of course, using her power over boundaries, she was easily able to enter, and she curiously found herself in what appeared to be a perfectly shadowed mirror of the forest. It was completely devoid of any form of life, with the exception of one magical presence.
It didn't take long for her to track down the source, which ended with her discovering the peculiar existence of a male [Fairy] who was currently sleeping soundly without a care in the world.
Initially, she was doubtful upon seeing the young Fairy, wondering if she had mistaken the weak being before her eyes. However, upon further inspection, there was no doubt that this seemingly weak male Fairy was the source of the unique power she had felt earlier, as she could sense it inside him.
However, as she tried to read his mind, she suddenly found herself unable to see through it. This was something that should have been impossible, especially for a Youkai of her caliber, which greatly shocked her but also further intrigued her curiosity about the little Fairy.
This would only make her more interested as she thought to herself about the potential use she might have for him, should she consider it. She could sense a deep potential for growth in him, but to what extent, she would have to wait and see for herself.
Mainly for her own amusement, but also possibly to mold this one into something more in the future. However, should he prove to be a waste or, at worst, a threat, then she or the Hakurei Maiden can simply dispose of him. Permanently, should they deem it necessary.
"For now, I'll keep an eye out for you. After all, you've at least caught my attention, so consider yourself lucky, little Fairy boy. Fufufu~," she spoke softly, letting out an amused laugh as she stood there in front of the sleeping [Weather Fairy]. An enigmatic smile etched into her beautifully mature face.
She then gently turned, tearing open a gap as she elegantly took her leave. But not before giving one last look as she entered through and left the [Empty ID] with a few parting words.
"Sweet dreams, little Fairy~! I'll be watching from now on..."

Time: 4:32 AM
The first signs of sunlight came as what little light began filtering into the damp, heavily fungi-infested forest while I let out a light yawn, groggily waking up.
You've slept through the night! HP/SP/MP/KI/PE have been fully restored!
I then snapped my fingers, dispelling the blanket and pillow made of cloud as I stood up straight and started stretching a bit for the day ahead. The fire had gone out cold sometime last night, leaving only ash and burnt leftover wood.
I was still feeling a little sleepy; however, I was immediately brought out of my morning drowsiness by the sudden alert of a new [Quest].

Upon seeing all this, I could only sum it up in the following few words:
"Hehe... I'm in danger." And, like that, I can do nothing but accept the [Fate] that has transpired before me, making me question whether life hates me or if I am truly unlucky...
