Work Text:
Azul utilizes Jade and Floyd to the max, making use of them for any important task he may need done quickly. They were proven to work hard, so there's no use in going easy on them, after all they liked challenges, and if they were willing to work with him, then why would Azul decline?
So today was a day like no other, where Azul asked Jade and Floyd to carry out some task he had assigned them. And like always, they accept and choose to take on the task if they see fit. But occasionally they'll take on tasks even if they dislike it, just doing so in a manner that suits their needs more. Floyd, specifically, hates taking on tasks that are more business related since talking about that topic is boring, so when Azul asks him to do such a thing, he doesn't want to, but he still tries. Which is an odd thing, because why would Floyd even entertain the idea if he knows it'll end up boring anyways?
The easy answer is that he doesn't want Azul to be mad.
Even if Floyd fails the task, he can still claim that he tried his best and failed. This way, Azul can't be as irritated as he normally would be for Floyd not trying at all.
Honestly it's an odd trait that Floyd has. Because if Azul or Jade get angry with him, then they turn boring for a while, meaning Floyd can't mess or prod at them without getting yelled at. He suffers from boredom and can't do anything fun even if one of his friends is angry at him. And there's no one more fun to mess with then his very own close friends. Just the thought brings a smile to his face.
But for now, Floyd is laying on a couch in the Mostro Lounge, intensely pondering his task that Azul gave him earlier. He had to go speak to the headmage about some expansions for Octavinelle, which is stupid, because the lounge is already big enough. But Azul wants more space for some seating, which means more money opportunities. But dealing with business deals, and the headmage on top of that... A recipe for disaster and Floyd knows he won't succeed. But he'll still go talk to the headmage to prove he did what Azul asked.
But luckily Jade stops him from his thoughts, his twin brother peering down at him so suddenly.
"What's with that expression?"
Floyd huffs, briefly glancing at Jade before crossing his arms and sinking deeper into the couch. "You already know, Azul's stupid task about expanding the lounge. Wants me to talk to the headmage, since you're busy with other stuff and have classes today."
"That's troubling you? But you'll get it done in the end somehow, you always do with your unpredictable plans."
"You say that now, but I've failed before. I'm not good with these kinda things. And then I'll have to deal with Azul being mad." Floyd grumbles, chomping his sharp teeth together, a frustrating habit he developed a while ago.
"Even if you do fail, it doesn't matter. Azul will just conjure up another idea to generate revenue." Jade reassures, still looming over the couch.
Floyd lets out a whine, putting an arm over his face to shield himself from the world. "I know, but I'll still have to deal with him being angry at me for a few dayssss. And then I'll be super ultra bored."
"Why does it matter? Azul will get over it like he always does."
"Because he's the funnest to mess with, you know that as much as I do."
Jade shrugs, not disagreeing to that statement. But he has to tease his brother now, as he's given the opportunity. "And here I thought I'd be your favorite to mess with. A shame my own blood doesn't favor me."
"You don't count!" Floyd huffs, sitting up on the couch to glare at him. They know each other so well, of course they wouldn't dare separate, and they're already each other's favorite.
Then Floyd sighs and gets off of the couch, stretching his lanky limbs and putting his fedora back on. "Well, I should go the headmage before Azul catches me slacking! I can't have him getting any more angry." He says with a wave as he leaves the Mostro Lounge for good.
Once the doors close, Jade is a bit intruiged by his brothers' words, not knowing that Floyd would be so affected by Azul's supposed rage. Perhaps Azul was harsher on Floyd in secret, but Jade thinks he would know about that by now. Or perhaps Floyd has a weak exploit that Jade was not aware about. And Floyd brought that topic up quite a bit, so clearly it was affecting him in some capacity. But that is not for Jade to worry about for now, that's a topic for later.
---
Floyd made his way to the headmage's office, walking in long, lazy strides with a completely lax posture. He wasn't scared to talk to the headmage, he was just annoyed that he had to do it. Honestly Floyd could've done anything else, like teaching minnows some lessons or dealing with late contracts, but talking to the headmaster? A task proven to be difficult for someone of Floyd's caliber, which is unexpected since anyone would think Floyd would be able to charm the headmaster in some way, but quite the opposite. The headmaster is on a way different level than Floyd and he's more boring, always repeating the same sentiment of being "the kindest."
Floyd frowned when he saw some familiar faces as he walked, a bubble of irritation forming when some stopped to talk to him. He was mainly in a sour mood because he didn't wanna talk to the headmaster and he doesn't wanna deal with the consequences after all of that. So yes, he is annoyed and not in the most peachy mood to talk.
And, a certain short red-head was passing by right where Floyd was walking.
"Oh, Floyd, I have to warn you that there was a fight down the hall, and there's some magic residue in the area, so beware of the damage while the school cleans it up." Riddle, the eversweet yet hot-headed peer, was kind enough to warn Floyd of some seemingly upcoming damage.
Floyd didn't care, merely brushing the guy off, and still walking. "Whatever, it's fine."
Riddle's eye couldn't help but twitch at the inexpressive response. Not even a simple manner in sight! It was repulsive and rude, but Riddle didn't speak up. He merely whispers under his breath, "Insolent Fool," and walked away.
Floyd heard this and immediately a familiar grin popped up on his face, almost amused by how easy he could get the little red-head mad. Floyd didn't even intend to get under his skin, but he did anyways, and that's the most exciting turn of events.
But, as the moment soon passed, Floyd found his smile faded and the dread eventually came back. Azul would still be mad. Floyd just knew that he couldn't convince the headmage so this whole trip is pointless, but he'd try anyways to prove he did, even if the chances are basically zero.
And as Floyd kept walking, he passed the wreckage in the hallway. It wasn't even that bad, he didn't even have to take a detour! Which is nice because he doesn't have to waste another second on this type of stuff.
--
A knock sounded throughout the headmage's office and it echoed through the big, yet empty room. Of course, Crowley opened the door with magic, allowing the student entry to his office. And when Floyd came inside, he seemed as bored as ever.
"Ah, Floyd, what brings you here? Do you have another complaint about the lack of food options? Because seriously, I can't do anything about that." Crowley states, in his generic "kind" mood like always. He sets some papers down and folds his hands on the desk, all attention on the teal-haired student.
"Nah, this ain't about food, but you should fix that still." Floyd walked closer to the desk, opting to stand in front of it rather then sit. "I actually need to talk about expansion of the Octavinelle dorm. Azul wants the Lounge bigger, if you can do that."
Crowley is silent for a bit. "School construction underwater? You know how expensive that is to expand the Octavinelle dorm of all the dorms? That is the one place that's almost impossible to build around."
"Yeah I don't care. Look, can you just do it or not? Azul got the money for it, he just needs the school permission." Floyd shrugs, his hands in his pockets as his foot traces patterns on the floor.
Crowley stops, thinking for a moment before responding. "Well, I'm not sure I can allow that to happen. I usually would be super kind and let you do whatever you want if you had the expenses, but these dorms are also sacred for the Seven Rulers so altercations would be advised against."
"But Azul did create the Mostro Lounge you know, that was an alter-whateveryoucallit."
"Hm, it's just that I'd have to have staff supervision and you can see how low we are, and construction takes a while so it still wouldn't help. As much as I trust the students, I don't all the time. And we've both seen how Azul can get sometimes, he'll probably take more than what I give him, in whatever contract he makes me sign."
Floyd hums in response, pulling out the contract just as one last attempt of some convincing. "You can read it for yourself."
And surprisingly, Crowley does read some of it, and Azul did think of many things that even Crowley himself didn't think of (like the accidental smashing of dorm pipes), but the alterating process of a dorm is a lot, especially one that's under the water. Azul is smart, one of the smartest in this school, but there's always something more in the contracts and Crowley has never signed one of these ever, and doesn't plan to.
"For the safety of myself and the school, I'm declining this offer." Crowley hands the contract back into Floyd's hand and Floyd just takes it without a second question. He mutters an 'Alright' before setting out to leave the desk. It was a simple exchange and Floyd tried his best (which really wasn't his best, he just did the best his lack of motivation would allow).
And on the walk back to the Octavinelle dormitory, Floyd found himself walking a bit slower and incredibly more down, which was a rare sight for sure. He knew that he wouldn't be able to convince Crowley, and that this whole thing is a waste. If only Jade, or Azul himself could've done it, then they could've succeeded and Floyd wouldn't get a scolding from Azul. It sucks when things end up this way, and next time, Floyd is gonna make Jade skip classes just so this doesn't happen again.
---
And when Floyd entered the Mostro Lounge, luckily Azul and Jade were absent so he could breathe normally. Although that did mean that he would have to take care of the Lounge in the meantime, since Azul would get irritated if he was just being lazy and doing nothing. Normally that doesn't bother Floyd, but they actually are opening the lounge tonight so Azul would absolutely be fuming if they lost business over some dirty floors.
So, just to save himself the scolding lesson, he figured he'd sweep the floors and maybe even mop them for a shiny look, it would get extra tips too.
So he did just that, and grabbed a broom and started sweeping the floors, gathering some specks of dust he could see.
...
...But, as always, he got bored of the repetitive motion and gave up halfway through. Honestly he didn't even mind the dirty floor, since the guests are what cause it all in the first place and they should be the ones to clean up... It's only fair that way. But of course businesses don't work that way, and it's stupid that it works illogically.
Floyd put the broom back, giving up.
He decided that going back to his dorm room and chilling would be fine, since there was nothing else to do around.
And he sat,
And relaxed,
And totally didn't think about the empty contract in his jacket pocket.
---
Of course when Jade returned from his classes, he went back to his room to change into his dorm uniform, which is when he finds Floyd laying on the bed, looking through some random book that was on his nightstand.
He focuses on changing first, going into the bathroom to make himself look presentable for the shift at the cafe. Then when he's done, he comes up to Floyd's bed, sitting on it to purposely annoy Floyd by getting in his personal space. "You're reading? That's not a sight I see everyday." Jade's sly smile is so annoying, but funny, only when it's not directed at Floyd.
"Yeah, is that a problem? History lessons are bringing my grade down."
"And since when did you start caring about your grade?" Jade continues teasing, obviously trying to get a rise out of his brother.
"Since the dorm average is getting lower, and since you and Azul scold me for my low scores." Floyd responds, unamused by his provoking comment.
"Hm, well, good on you, I suppose." Jade sits up, not bothering to tease anymore since it was boring and the moment passed. "Tell me about the meeting with the headmage then."
Floyd sets the book down, already groaning at the reminder. "Headmage didn't care for expansion, said that there wasn't enough staff members to overlook the process or whatever..." His voice is somewhat mumbled by how his face is partially pressed into the sheets.
"Unfortunate, but expected. No matter, it'll get expanded one day." Jade sounds surprisingly calm, but it's only because he's the one that won't get yelled at for failing...
"Yeah, I guess so."
"Shall we go to the Mostro Lounge then?" It wasn't an invitation, it was a polite way to say that Floyd needed to get his ass up and start their shift for the night.
"Yep, sounds good." Floyd swiftly swings his legs over the side of the bed and gets up goofily. Jade watches, amused by his way of never doing things normal ever.
--
And as the twins arrive at the familiar lounge they so dearly know, they also meet a very face that they now see everyday. Almost nine years and the sight of that white hair with blue eyes with its signature mole beneath the mouth on the left side, is as welcoming as ever.
"Jade, Floyd, good to see you two. I trust that you'll be able to handle today by yourselves? I do have more contracts to come to finality. Including the one that Floyd should've gotten." He greets the twins, like always, and then immediately gets down to business. It's a short show of his care, to tell the twins (and himself) that he's grateful for their presence. But he also does care for his contracts getting completed on time. He holds out a hand for the contract that Floyd should've gotten the signature of, waiting for it.
Floyd laughs a bit (it almost sounds a bit nervous to Jade which prompts a smile) before pulling it out, putting the unfinished, dull contract in Azul's hand. "Yeah about that..." He brought a hand up to scratch at his nape, "Manta Ray didn't wanna sign it, said he was low staffed and didn't wanna get involved with underwater construction."
Azul, of course, did expect this as a possibility but it doesn't hide the disappointment on his face. He merely tightens his hand around the contract, crumpling the middle, and holds it at his side. Azul's initial response is irritation that the contract is empty and Floyd was incompetent (which leaves a visible scowl on his face), but he quickly refocuses himself on the main issue that Azul had accounted for this possibility and neither him or Jade were able to do it. Azul did have hope in Floyd, since Floyd is as competent as Jade when he's at his best, so Azul himself took a gamble here, and it's not entirely Floyd's fault. Though, this does make things difficult in the future if Azul ever wants to bring up this contract again.
Azul's face softens, just turning neutral as his eyes meet his friends' mismatched ones.
Floyd, on the other hand, is already preparing for some snarky comment that Azul has done before. And it always gets Floyd easily angry too, so when Azul is in a bad mood, it spreads to everyone else, which is another reason Floyd despises Azul's temper.
But, when Azul doesn't respond, and merely turns away with the contract in hand, Floyd internally whines, knowing that Azul chose to ignore him after all. This may not be the yelling tactic, but rather the silent treatment which is arguably worse. At least when Azul yells, it's actually at him, and more interesting then nothing at all. Silent treatment is the worst!!!
Jade is enjoying the interaction between the two, seeing how Floyd is bitching and moaning in his head, and how Azul is going back to the office to put the contract away, or he guesses so.
"Floyd, I'm going to speak with Azul, could you start preparing the tables?"
Floyd was about to retort, having a complaint on his lips, but quickly gave up, already giving in to hopelessness. "Yeah, whatever."
So Jade leaves his twin brother to begin the setup at Mostro Lounge, while he can speak to Azul about a few things that's been on his mind.
---
Upon entering the office, Azul is crouched down near his desk, going through a bunch of old contracts he had yet to throw away. Jade knows about this drawer, it's just a pile of old contracts that people declined, but Azul has hopes he can get them completed with time. Jade enjoys his ambitious nature, it's exactly like all three of them.
Jade makes his way to the desk, standing to the side of it, where he can see Azul flipping through the old contracts. And this has his attention now.
"Azul, what has your interest in these old contracts?"
"I'm just going through them, seeing if any of them are good enough to bring up again. I believe it would be a good time to bring up Ortho's contract again, since it's been quite some time since I last asked if he wanted the best materials for his modeling suits. I don't think he liked my offer last time, so perhaps I should change that to better suit his tastes." Azul is already back to business mode, it's as if his conversation with Floyd didn't exist.
"Well, I'm sure that's not the main issue, Ortho does believe his brother is the best inventor to exist, which includes gathering materials to make said models. But, Azul there's quite a few matters I intend to discuss with you."
"Oh, is there? What needs my attention?" Azul asks, closing the drawer of contracts, and standing up to face Jade. Their height difference is always so drastic, poor Azul and his neck.
"Well, luckily I am finished with my classes and my projects, so I have more free time in case you need some more hands around."
"Alright, good." Azul could tell that there was more Jade needed to say though.
"Also, there's a school event happening tomorrow, so I was wondering how we should go about that. I personally thought, that we should close Mostro Lounge and go together. There is also chances we could promote the Lounge instead of keeping it open. We'll lose a bit of revenue but the outcome should be generous."
Azul always freezes when the closing of the Lounge is mentioned, but he sighs when Jade has some points. Although, Azul does not wish to close it. "I'm not sure. While you do make a good point, I still don't wish to entirely close the Lounge. But if you imply that we all go the school event, then the Lounge can't stay open since I need at least one of us here at all times..." Azul is rambling out loud now, trying to reach a consise point. "But I suppose, if you deathly need to go to this event, then you should go. I have no interest in it anyways. And whatever event is going on will surely outshine any promotion for the Lounge."
Jade frowns a little, since he didn't think Azul would want to go but he did want all three of them to do something interesting for once. Jade usually has to trick Azul into taking a break, or hanging out with the two eels, but it seems Azul didn't fall for this time. A shame, Jade will try some more later...
Now for the most important topic, Floyd. Jade really came in here to inquire about Azul's mood because Floyd always got just as boring as Azul when yelled at. Honestly, if you thought Floyd was the most affected by Azul's temper, Jade is just as bad by association. It's never good when anyone is mad honestly, so Jade tries to mend it as easy as possible, but no one actually is aware of this. Jade and his scheming always win in the end, and not even his closest friends are aware. It always makes Jade smile, and laugh knowing that his own brother and close friend haven't realized whenever they get into fights, Jade fixed it subtly.
"Well, I just have one more thing to discuss and then I'll start my shift... Azul, I must question why you ignored Floyd when he gave you the contract. I'm more used to your temper whenever Floyd does something wrong." A small jab at Azul, since Jade can never cease his teasing.
"I didn't intentionally ignore Floyd, I just walked to my office to put the contract away. Although, the fact that the headmage declined my offer had me a bit more irritated. I was excited to expand the Lounge, since it would've had a far greater outcome on the situation, as you already know. And admittedly, Floyd does get on my nerves with his lack of trying, but I'm more disappointed with how things turned out."
"Hm, I see. Well Floyd has taken your silence as anger. So you may want to clear that up before he gets into a bad mood entirely." Jade offers a smile (when is he not smiling really?).
"Oh, did he? I suppose I should go apologize when I have the time. Thank you, Jade." Azul says, straightening his dorm clothes and sitting down in his chair.
Jade is more glad that Azul also didn't have a bad temper. He's definitely on edge, but Azul learned to quickly get over things that don't go his way, specifically in regards to contracts. Azul will be irritated for a bit, but it soon disappears by the next day.
Jade walks out of the office, meeting Floyd in the main Lounge, where they set up the rest of the tables together. Once done, Floyd makes his way into the kitchen to set up there as well. Despite his bad mood, he did enjoy cooking to a certain degree so that always makes him a bit more interested in his work. Jade on the other hand, gets the other waiters to start their shifts and assign them certain tables. Some other Octavinelle students work here as well, to both earn money and pay an honor to their dorm leader. Some are here for contracts, but they're all working due to Azul's influence. Quite a impressive feat, Jade thinks. Working from the bottom to the top all by himself, with the help of only his eels and ambitions. (Of course the eels are the most important aspect of Azul's motivations, but why would he ever admit that.)
--
It was late at night, and the last of the customers for Mostro Lounge were finally exiting the building. Jade's cleaning up some final tables that have messes on them from the dining experience, and Floyd is cleaning up the kitchen despite his willingness not to. The few student workers who came to help had been told to leave now that their shift was over, and Azul was leaving his office now that he could finish his own work as a Housewarden and manager.
Azul leaves his office looking put together, because he always is on top of things. And once he enters the huge Lounge, he can't help but subconsciously look around for both the Tweels and any other people. Usually when Azul comes out of his office, it's always the twins but occasionally there's the annoyance customer that he must look out for. Really though, Azul is looking for his lovely eels to ensure they're still alive.
Azul does not have a foul mood right now, rather getting work done had helped boost his mood with noticing how good sales were doing, and how many more people had booked a consultation and even came in. If anything, Azul felt on top of the world right now, and looking around the Lounge gave him more pride in seeing what he built.
Alas his self-assurance is disturbed by the thought of needing to check in today's sales. So, Azul makes his way over to the register to mainly check all the dishes and revenue they chimed into the machine. He likes checking out all the little transactions since they give him a state of mind of how the Lounge is doing.
But upon checking the transactions, Azul finds nothing drastic of note, like always, and that fills him with joy.
Then, he hears Jade's voice from a few feet away. "Azul, there's dinner here if you'd like to join." Azul's head turns to look at Jade, seeing him and Floyd sitting at a booth. Azul though Floyd was cleaning the kitchen, but he may have actually been making some food. How did he miss that? Perhaps he is more tired then he thought.
But despite that, the food looks amazing, because of course it does... Floyd made it and anything that stupid eel makes happens to be amazing. Not on par with his Mother's cooking but Floyd is shockingly good at that stuff.
...
But... Azul's mind is telling him to stay away from the food. The only issue is that because Floyd's food is so good, it's incredibly unhealthy for him and he definitely cannot eat that... And yet, Azul is hungry, and it can't be too bad if he has a little bit of some food. After all, it's just a small bit of pork. And the nutrients have to outweigh the fat content... It's just, Floyd cooks with an absurdly amount of butter which is horrible but the reason it's so good!
Whatever, Azul hasn't eaten all day, a small portion won't kill him even if it is horrible for him.
So Azul walks over to join the two after mentally debating with himself. He sits down, joining the two in the circular booth and lucky him, Floyd already had a plate stationed so he didn't have to grab his own portion. Azul is most grateful. "Thank you, Floyd."
Floyd just grunts in response, mumbling a small "y'r welcome..." as he prods at his own food. Floyd doesn't seem irritated, since he did have quite a while to just simmer down himself, clearly not bothered by Azul's temper. Rather Floyd just looks tired, which is unexpected.
They all kinda just eat in silence, not really speaking of anything of note. Azul is mentally debating himself still on the amount he should be eating on his plate, whether or not Floyd gave him too much. Floyd has no thoughts, and Jade is just watching both of them, seeing how his friends always spiral down to the usual hole they're in.
"Well, Azul, didn't you have something to say to Floyd...?" Jade says, nudging Azul's foot.
This clearly gets Azul's attention since he was taken from his thoughts. Right, of course, Azul did remember speaking to Jade about accidentally giving Floyd the impression he was irritated. He was going to apologize and he forgot, completely bothered by the food in front of him.
Azul clears his throat, before turning to Floyd. "Right, of course. I apologize Floyd. I was told by Jade, I gave off the wrong impression of being irritated at you when you came back with the contract. Forgive me, it was not my intention. I was merely irritated at the situation, was all."
Floyd meets Azul's gaze, and obviously he can tell whenever Azul is lying or being fake, but he sees none of that. He's almost annoyed that Azul is apologizing for something stupid. They don't talk about their feelings, since all three of them just let themselves slowly simmer down and eventually forgive without saying it outright. It's a weird little thing they have going on.
"Eh, it's fine. I don't care about it." Floyd says, trying to seem unaffected by the response but failing. Jade's all knowing gaze says otherwise, that Floyd does feel a bit more like himself after that apology.
"Well, still I thought I'd apologize anyways. Also your dinner is quite good, I just wish you wouldn't give me such a big portion size everytime..." Azul says, continuing the conversation now that all seems better.
Oh and Floyd... He immediately perks up at this, his big shark teeth smiling back at Azul, as he slides up next to Azul, touching shoulders. "Oh, but Azul! You have to eat all of it or else I'll squeeze you! I made that with all my hard work so I'd appreciate if you could clear a simple plate!" Floyd almost uncharacteristically switches personalities, in some way, and of course goes back to teasing Azul, his favorite person to tease.
Jade smiles, not showing his teeth, but in a way that's still genuine, watching how close the two are again after their little squabble.
"It's not a simple plate, Floyd! And you know that!" Azul immediately contorts back, pushing the eel off of him as Floyd puts both arms around Azul to warn him of a squeezing. And trust, Azul has felt Floyd's squeezes before, just not to their max power, and it still leaves him out of breath...
Jade stands up, and eventually joins on Azul's other side to join in on the teasing. He can't have his dear brother have all the fun, can he? "Don't worry Azul, if needed, I can help you finish your food."
Azul's head shoots to look at Jade, as he freezes. Floyd stops too, peering over Azul and seeing his lovely brother have a fork with a small bite of pork on it. Oh, this'll be interesting indeed~
"Jade, no! I'm not five!" Azul is immediately back to squirming, moving his head away from Jade and trying to push Floyd off. Of course, it's difficult when Jade happens to hold Azul's shoulder in place. When the two eels set their mind to something, they always win, especially at Azul's expense...
"It's respectable to finish your plate at dinner, especially when Floyd makes it." Jade says, watching as Azul drops his head, essentially giving up since he knows he can't stop those two.
"Yeah, it's reeeeal mean if you don't even try to finish my food. And you're obviously still hungry if your stomach is still growling." Floyd says, a little squeeze to Azul's side as Floyd stays as close as he can there, with his arms still holding Azul in place. He'll ensure Azul can't escape, just so they can tease. But in reality, he does want Azul to eat well, Floyd already knows that his friend likely hasn't eaten anything all day, which is horrible because he doesn't need his precious Azul to disappear so quickly.
Azul is embarrassed, a twinge of pink on his cheeks as his stomach does growl, and it's humiliating! He ate a few bites of the dinner and his stomach dares ask for more! Especially in front of his close friends, which happens to be more embarrassing. But of course, being held at the eels disposal, he can't exactly decline the food or it'll seem EVEN MORE EMBARRASSING, like a child not eating their food.
So Azul, begrudgingly eats the bite Jade had originally gotten for him. And, it's amazing, of course it is. "Okay, I can eat by myself now, so shoo you too."
"Nah, this is more fun." Floyd says, staying huddled up to Azul's side. Yes it's fun to tease Azul, but he's actually pretty comfortable right now.
"Floyd, I swear..."
"I'll allow you to eat yourself for now, but I think we'll join you over here. It's more comfortable indeed." Jade chimes in.
"We sit like two feet away! That isn't enough space for you!?" Azul says, seeing the twins dramatic display. Gosh, they're like actual leeches sometimes!
"Nope, me and Floyd have deduced this spot next to you as more comfortable." Jade says this, and grabs his plate from across the booth table to move over here, right next to Azul's. And the exact same thing with Floyd, so that his twin brother doesn't have to get up from his hostage hold.
"You guys are insufferable...!" Azul says, almost exasperated at the idea. He pushes up his glasses and runs a hand through his hair with his now free hands.
Jade and Floyd merely share a smile, as they now enjoy their lovely friend, and Jade is glad that Floyd is feeling back to his normal self. It's much more entertaining... but also peaceful this way.
