Jimin had been in love with Jeon Jeongguk for approximately seven years, two months and sixteen days. Not that he was counting.

It hadn’t started as love. In the beginning, back when they were trainees crammed into too-small dorm rooms with breath that smelled like ramen and dreams bigger than their circumstances, it had been something softer. Just a tiny little crush, he swears. He was protective, maybe. Jeongguk had been fifteen, small and homesick. They are both from Busan, Jimin had been seventeen and desperately trying to prove he deserved to be there. Taking care of the younger trainees had given him purpose. He’d made sure Jeongguk ate, made sure he got enough sleep, made sure the older trainees didn’t pick on him too much.

Back then, Jimin had been the caretaker. The hyung. The one who smoothed things over and kept everyone together.

Then they’d presented.

Jeongguk had presented as an alpha two weeks after their debut — his scent shifting from the generic soap-clean smell of childhood into something dark and rich: coffee. Jimin was a late bloomer but everyone had their suspicions, so when he presented as an omega six months after Jeongguk, no one was surprised. But he couldn’t ignore how suddenly everything was different between them. Not only he was treated even gentler than before, but now his other members were extra careful with him. Which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing but still a change and Jimin didn’t always like those. He didn’t like being treated differently, hated being seen as inferior. And if being a bisexual man in the industry wasn’t the norm, you can imagine what being a bisexual omega felt like. His friends were all supportive, they didn’t care about stupid labels or subgenders he got lucky with that, but still took years for Jimin to feel good inside his own skin. Seokjin was a big help and was happy to be of assistance when Jimin needed, as the only other omega in the group.

Of course Jimin knew he would be treated differently, it’s obvious that an alpha has to be more cautious towards an omega and his friends were all respectful and supportive. It still sting a little bit when the dynamic between him and Jeongguk shifted so suddenly.

Suddenly Jeongguk was the one cooking for him, showing up at his door with containers of soup because “hyung, you haven’t eaten anything but water today.” Suddenly Jeongguk was the one playing with his hair during interviews, fingers carding through it in a way that made Jimin’s vanilla scent go syrupy-sweet. Suddenly Jeongguk was the one carrying him off stage when he pushed too hard during practice, ignoring Jimin’s protests that he could walk. All of that was fine but when he decided to start massaging Jimin’s neck every time he knew Jimin had been in pain was Jimin’s biggest weakness, having Jeongguk’s finger touch his sensitive scent gland was difficult to ignore.

So yeah, the dynamic had shifted, and Jimin hadn’t known how to shift back. He didn’t even know if he wanted it to shift back.

Jeongguk would cage him at airports, his body a wall between Jimin and the crowds that pressed too close, cameras flashing, voices screaming. He’d hold Jimin’s hand and squeeze it every time he noticed the trembling — whether from exhaustion, anxiety or the suppressants that made him feel like his bones were vibrating. He’d scroll through livestream chats and physically block Jimin from seeing the comments, the ones that said omega idols were weak, that Jimin was too feminine, too delicate, that just like Seokjin, he didn’t belong in a group full of alphas.

“You’re beautiful,” Jeongguk would say, as casual as breathing. “Don’t listen to them, hyung. You’re the strongest and most beautiful person I’ve ever known.”

And Jimin would laugh it off, would ruffle Jeongguk’s hair and call him sweet, would pretend his heart wasn’t trying to jump out of his chest.

And with time, Jimin had grown into loving his personality, the real one, not the one he had been showing since debut. The strong, masculine and confident facade contrasted with the delicate, soft and feminine one, but that was also him and it was totally fine. He had become confident about who he was, at the end. And when he presented, together with the obstacles of being an omega, came The Crush.  The big, gigantic, annoying crush on Jeon Jeongguk.

The thing was, Jeongguk hadn’t always been like this — sweet and overly kind. In the early days, when Jimin had tested the waters with playful flirting, — sitting too close, letting his touches linger, making suggestions that toed the line between friendship and something more, just to see if one day Jeongguk would reciprocate his little crush, like when he said he wanted to travel to the beach with Jeongguk and hold hands — Jeongguk had always just laugh it off or pulled away. Firmly, sometimes even cruelly, like when he ranked Jimin last in looks. Which is fine, it was his opinion. But what hurt the most was when Jimin tried to flirt expecting something more, he would always say: “Hyung, I don’t want you,” and he’d say with a smile on his face but his jaw tight, which made things even more confusing.

Years later, Jeongguk tried to explain. “I was scared,” he’d said. “I didn’t know what I was feeling and who I was, I thought if I let myself open up to you, I’d- Look, you were bold and I got shy around you, let’s just say that.”

But Jimin couldn’t forget that initial rejection. Couldn’t stop hearing “I don’t want you.” echoing in his head every time Jeongguk called him beautiful, every time those touches lingered a little too long and Jimin really wanted to kiss him.

By the time they filmed “Are You Sure?”, Jimin was so gone it physically hurt. Three days into the trip, just the two of them and the team; Jeongguk had been — god, he’d been everything. Attentive, funny and soft in ways he wasn’t with anyone else. They’d shared beds, inside jokes and quiet mornings where Jeongguk made him breakfast when not recording and watched him eat with this expression that Jimin couldn’t read.

The line between friendship and romance had gotten so thin it was practically translucent. Jimin had almost crossed it a dozen times — almost leaned in during that sunset, almost said something really stupid when Jeongguk had pulled him close during the night they got drunk and watched a terrible movie on Jeongguk's phone. But he hadn’t. Because “Hyung, I don’t want you,” still lived in his chest like a bruise that refused to heal.

Military service had made it worse. They’d enlisted together, been assigned to the same unit through some miracle of Jeongguk suggesting Buddy System. Eighteen months of proximity, of shared hardship, of Jeongguk’s scent in his nose every morning and every night. Eighteen months of Jeongguk’s hand finding his in the dark when the fear got too loud, of whispered conversations after lights out, of this crushing intimacy that never quite tipped over into more. Eighteen months of having to take a shower with naked Jeongguk in the same bathroom and having to pretend it didn’t make his omega go crazy. Like he could simply ignore it and that very annoying — and hard — problem down there would go away.

The crush evolved into something else and Jimin couldn’t do anything about it. When they’d come back from the military, everyone had already noticed how close they’d gotten.

“Do you two have something going on?” Taehyung had asked one night, his eyes shrewd. They’d been at dinner, just the vocal line and Jeongguk had been feeding Jimin pieces of meat without even looking, like it was automatic.

“No,” Jimin had said, too fast. “We’re just friends. You know that, Tae.” Taehyung had hummed, unconvinced, but dropped it.

Seokjin was less subtle. “You look like a couple,” he’d announced before a scheduled livestream, gesturing at where Jimin was curled into Jeongguk’s side on the couch. “Seriously. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were mated.”

“Hyung,” Jimin had laughed, trying to make it sound natural. “Don’t be ridiculous.”

But Jeongguk’s arm had tightened around him and his coffee scent had gone richer, possessive and Jimin had wanted to scream.

The problem was that Jimin had never been good at hiding his feelings. Not really. He wore his heart in his sleeve, raw and obvious, and loving Jeongguk had become the most obvious thing about him. He could feel it leaking through — in the way his scent sweetened whenever Jeongguk walked into a room, in the way his eyes tracked him during rehearsals, in the way he laughed too hard at Jeongguk’s jokes and found excuses to touch him.

So he’d started pulling back. Talking less. Avoiding him. Making himself unavailable for the late-night gaming sessions and convenience store runs and quiet moments that had become their routine. It hurt — god, it hurt like losing a leg — but it hurt less than watching Jeongguk be perfect and kind, everything Jimin wanted while knowing he could never have him.

Jeongguk had noticed. Of course he had. He’d cornered Jimin after practice one day, his expression confused and hurt. “Hyung, did I do something wrong? Why are you avoiding me?”

“I’m not,” Jimin had lied. “I’ve just been busy.”

“Busy,” Jeongguk had repeated flatly. “Right.”

The distance had grown. Weeks turned into months. They were professional during schedules, polite in group settings, but the ease was gone. He had seen Jeongguk texting an omega one day, inviting them to dinner. Jimin had walked out of the practice room that day thinking maybe this was it. Maybe this was how they ended, before something even started.

The bass line had been wrong for three hours.

Jimin knew it was wrong because his body knew the count, knew where the beat should hit, and Jeongguk kept calling the change half a measure too early. It wasn’t complicated — it was basic fucking timing — but Jeongguk had his jaw set in that stubborn way that meant he’d rather be right than correct.

“It’s on the four, Gguk,” Jimin said again, breathing hard. His tank top was soaked through. They’d run the section seventeen times. “Just listen to the track. It’s obvious.”

“It’s on the three and a half.” Jeongguk didn’t even look at him, just reset his position in the mirror. “We’ve always done it on the three and a half.”

“We haven’t. I’ve been doing this choreography for three years, Jeongguk. You’re the one who’s off.”

“Then maybe you’ve been doing it wrong for three years.” Jeongguk’s eyes met his in the mirror — cold, challenging. His coffee scent had gone bitter, acidic. “Ever think of that?”

Something hot and ugly twisted in Jimin’s chest. “Are you seriously- you’re seriously going to stand there and tell me I don’t know my fucking counts?”

“I’m telling you you’re being stubborn about something that doesn’t matter.”

“It matters if you’re fucking up the formation!”

“I’m not fucking up anything!” Jeongguk spun around, finally facing him directly. “You’re the one who keeps stopping the run-through to argue about half a goddamn beat!”

“Because you’re doing it wrong!”

“According to you!”

“According to the music!” Jimin’s voice cracked. He was so tired. They’d been at this for hours, and before that, they’d had a full schedule, and before that, he’d barely slept because his suppressants were messing with his system again. “Just- just listen to yourself. You’re so fucking convinced you’re right that you won’t even consider that maybe, for once, the perfect maknae made a mistake.”

“Oh, this isn’t about the choreography.” Jeongguk’s jaw was tight. “This is about you being pissed at me for something else and taking it out on practice.”

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

“You’ve been weird with me for months, Jimin. Don’t act like you haven’t.”

Jimin’s stomach dropped. “I haven’t-“

“You have. You barely talk to me outside of schedules. You leave the room when I come in. You don’t come to my house when I invite you-” Jeongguk laughed, but it wasn’t a happy sound. “You know what? Forget it. Let’s just run it your way. Since you’re always so fucking sure.”

“Jeongguk-”

“No, seriously. You’re clearly the expert here. I’m just the guy who’s been dancing next to you for thirteen years and apparently doesn’t know shit.”

The words hit like a slap. Jimin felt his throat close up, felt his vanilla scent go sharp and sour with hurt. “That’s not what I- you’re twisting my words again.”

“Am I? Because it sounds like you think I’m incompetent.”

“I think you’re being an asshole!”

“And I think you’re being a brat who can’t handle anyone disagreeing with you!” Jeongguk shot back. His eyes were red now, his alpha rising to the surface. “But sure, Jimin. Whatever you want. You’re right. You’re always right, hyung. Is that what you need to hear?”

“Fuck you,” Jimin whispered. His eyes were burning, the yellow hue sparkling in it. He would not cry. He wouldn’t give Jeongguk that. “Fuck you, Jeongguk.”

He grabbed his bag and left. Didn’t look back. Didn’t see the way Jeongguk’s face crumpled the second the door closed.

They never talked about it. The next day at practice, they were professional. Polite, even. The beat stayed on the three and a half. Jimin didn’t argue. It never went back to how it used to be after that.

Jimin was walking toward the elevator, his dance bag slung over his shoulder, when he heard Jeongguk’s voice behind him.

“Of course you’re leaving early.”

Jimin stopped. Turned around slowly. Jeongguk was leaning against the wall outside the studio, his arms crossed, his expression dark.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Jimin’s voice came out flat.

“Nothing.” Jeongguk shrugged. “Just noticed you’ve been cutting practice short a lot lately. Must be nice, getting special treatment.”

Something hot and ugly twisted in Jimin’s chest. “I’m not cutting practice short. I stayed the full four hours like everyone else.”

“Right. But Hobi-hyung told you to rest, didn’t he? Said you looked tired.” Jeongguk’s smile was sharp, mean. “Bet he wouldn’t have said that to anyone else.”

“What the fuck is your problem?”

“My problem?” Jeongguk pushed off the wall, taking a step closer. His coffee scent had gone bitter, acidic. “My problem is watching everyone baby you like you’re made of glass. ‘Jimin-ah, don’t push too hard’, ‘Jimin-ah, make sure you eat’, ‘Jimin-ah, are you taking your vitamins?’

“That’s not-“ Jimin’s hands clenched into fists. “They’re just looking out for me.”

“They treat you like you can’t take care of yourself. Like being an omega means you’re fragile.” Jeongguk was close enough now that Jimin could see the red creeping into his eyes. “And you let them. You eat it up, right?”

“Fuck you,” Jimin spat. His vanilla scent had gone sharp and sour. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Don’t I? Everyone spoils you, princess, and you just-”

Jimin felt something crack in his chest, felt his breath catch. “Don’t call me that.”

“Why not? It suits you.” Jeongguk’s voice was cruel in a way Jimin had never heard before. “The youngest omega in the group. Everyone’s favorite. Can’t do anything wrong. Gets whatever he wants.”

“Stop it.”

“What’s wrong? Don’t like hearing the truth?”

“The truth?” Jimin’s voice went high, brittle. “You want to know the truth, Jeongguk? The truth is I fucking hate that they treat me different. I hate that being an omega means people assume I’m weak, that I need protecting, that I can’t handle the same shit everyone else can. I hate that no matter how hard I work, there’s always someone saying I only succeeded because they went easy on me.”

Jeongguk’s expression flickered — regret crossing his face — but Jimin was already spiraling, the words pouring out like a waterfall.

“And you- “ Jimin’s finger jabbed at Jeongguk’s chest. “Who are you to talk about them? You’re the worst one. You used to treat me like an equal. Like a friend. Now you look at me like I’m some delicate thing that’s going to break if you breathe on me wrong. Or like I’m a burden you have to put up with.”

“That’s not true.”

“You’re an asshole,” Jimin interrupted. His eyes were burning. He would not cry. He wouldn’t give Jeongguk that. “A complete fucking asshole.”

“Yeah?” Jeongguk stepped closer, crowding into Jimin’s space. His scent was overwhelming — bitter coffee mixed with something darker, angrier. “Well, you’re a spoiled brat who can’t handle anyone disagreeing with you.”

“I hate you,” Jimin said. The words came out quiet, shaky.

They both knew he didn’t mean it. Jimin could see it in the way Jeongguk’s jaw tightened, in the way his hands clenched at his sides like he was physically restraining himself from reaching out.

“No, you don’t,” Jeongguk said, his voice rough.

“Yes, I do.” Jimin tilted his chin up, defiant even though his heart was trying to crack through his ribs. “I hate how you make me feel. I hate that you’re so fucking-” He cut himself off, biting his lip hard.

“So fucking what?” Jeongguk’s eyes dropped to Jimin’s mouth. The air between them felt electric, charged with something dangerous.

Jimin’s breath hitched. Jeongguk was so close now — close enough that Jimin could feel the heat radiating off him, could see the way his pupils were blown wide, could smell the way his scent was shifting from bitter to something richer, headier. They were inches apart. Jimin’s back was against the wall and he didn’t remember moving.

“So fucking good at everything,” Jimin whispered, that was not what he actually wanted to say, but it was all he could manage at that moment. “I have to run to catch up with the big, talented and strong alpha. Sorry I could never be like you.”

Jeongguk’s hand came up, his fingers hovering next to Jimin’s face without quite touching. His eyes were completely red now, his alpha right at the surface. Jimin could see him fighting it — fighting the urge to close the distance, to touch and to claim him.

“Jimin,” Jeongguk breathed, and it sounded like a warning and a plea all at once.

“Don’t.” Jimin’s voice broke. “Don’t say my name like that when you know you hate me too.”

“I don’t hate you.” Jeongguk’s hand dropped. He took a step back, then another, putting space between them like it physically hurt. “I’ve never hated you.”

“Could’ve fooled me,” Jimin said bitterly.

“You don’t understand-”

“Then explain it to me!” Jimin’s frustration boiled over. “Explain why you went from being my best friend to someone who can barely stand to be in the same room as me without wanting to pick a fight! Explain why you look at me like, like- “

“Like what, Jimin?”

“Like you want me close and hate yourself for it,” Jimin said, the words ripping out of him before he could stop them.

The silence that followed was deafening. Jeongguk stared at him, his chest heaving, his hands shaking.

“You started it! Ignoring me since before that fight. And you talk so fucking surely about how you think I feel but don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jeongguk finally said, but his voice was unsteady.

“Don’t I?” Jimin laughed, sharp and humorless. He ignored the beginning of what he said, because he knew it really was his fault things got this bad. “I can smell it on you, Jeongguk. Your scent gives you away every time you look at me.”

“Stop.”

“Why? Because it’s true? Because you’re too much of a coward to admit there’s something going on with us and-”

“Because If I say anything it will ruin us!” Jeongguk’s voice cracked. “And I can’t- we can’t-”

“There it is,” Jimin whispered. “We can’t. Just like always. Don’t lie to me, you don’t want to say what you really want.”

Jeongguk’s jaw clenched so hard Jimin could see the muscle jump. His eyes were still red, his hands still fisted at his sides. He looked like he was about to say something but then his expression shuttered. His scent hot spicier, it made Jimin embarrassingly leak slick. Jeongguk took a deep breath, his eyes shining redder than before now.

“I have to go,” he said instead, Jimin could see he was shaking.

“Of course you do.” Jimin turned away, reaching for the elevator button. His hands were shaking too. “Run away. That’s what you’re good at.”

“Hyung-”

“Just go, Jeongguk.” Jimin kept his back turned, kept his voice steady even though everything inside him was screaming. “I’m tired of this. I’m tired of you.”

He heard Jeongguk take a breath like he was going to argue. Then footsteps — walking away, getting quieter, until Jimin was alone in the hallway.

The elevator dinged. Jimin stepped inside, pressed the button for the ground floor, and let his head fall back against the wall. His reflection stared back at him from the mirrored walls — flushed, disheveled, his eyes too bright.

He could still smell Jeongguk’s coffee scent clinging to his clothes. Could still feel the phantom heat of him standing too close. Could still hear the “I don’t want you” from years ago echoing in his head like a death sentence.

“I hate him,” Jimin whispered to his reflection. Testing the words out, seeing if he could make them true.

They tasted like a lie.

The elevator doors closed, taking him down and away, and Jimin wondered how much longer they could keep doing this before one of them broke completely.

Jeongguk slammed his front door hard enough that Bam yelped from the living room. He dropped his bag, kicked off his shoes, and went straight to his bedroom without turning on any lights.

He shouldn’t have said any of that. Shouldn’t have called Jimin spoiled, shouldn’t have used that word — princess — when he knew how much Jimin hated the way people treated him differently. He knew better. He fucking knew better.

But his head had been wrong all day. Fuzzy around the edges, his alpha too close to the surface, everything setting him off. The way Hoseok had told Jimin to rest early. The way Namjoon had brought him water without being asked. The way everyone looked at Jimin like he was something precious that needed protecting.

The way Jeongguk wanted to be the only one protecting and taking care of him.

He collapsed on his bed, still fully dressed, his hands fisting in his hair. His whole body felt too hot, too tight, his skin crawling with restless energy. His cock was half-hard in his jeans — had been since he’d crowded Jimin against that wall, since he’d smelled Jimin’s vanilla scent go sharp, hurt and sweet.

“Fuck,” Jeongguk groaned into his pillow.

He shouldn’t be turned on. Jimin had looked at him like he was a stranger, like Jeongguk had wounded something vital, and all Jeongguk could think about was how close they’d been. How easy it would’ve been to close that last inch of distance and kiss him. How Jimin’s pupils had been blown wide, his lips parted, his scent going sweet underneath the sour hurt.

Jeongguk’s hand dropped to his crotch, palming himself through his jeans. He felt like shit for it — Jimin was his best friend, or had been, and here Jeongguk was getting hard thinking about him.

But guilt wasn’t enough to stop him.

He shoved his jeans and boxers down, his cock springing free — thick and flushed dark, already leaking at the tip. His knot was starting to swell at the base. Pre-rut. That’s what this was. That’s why he’d been such an asshole, why he couldn’t think straight, why every instinct was screaming at him to go back and claim and mark.

“Shit,” he breathed, wrapping his hand around himself. The touch sent sparks up his spine.

He should stop. Should take a cold shower, call his doctor, deal with this like a responsible adult.

Instead, he started stroking — slow at first, his thumb swiping over the head to smear precome down his length. His other hand went to his balls, rolling them, squeezing just hard enough to make him groan.

He thought about Jimin. Couldn’t help it. Thought about how small he was, how Jeongguk could probably span his waist with both hands. Thought about those plush lips, bitten red from stress. Thought about his vanilla scent going syrupy-sweet the way it always did when Jeongguk got too close. How he thought he could smell Jimin getting wet in that corridor and all he wanted was to take him right there.

“Fuck, Jimin,” Jeongguk panted into the dark room. His hand sped up, his hips starting to thrust into his fist. “You don’t even know what you do to me.”

He imagined Jimin here — on his bed, spread out beneath him. Those thick thighs falling open, revealing his little pink hole already wet and clenching. Jimin was an omega. He’d be so slick, so ready, his body made to take cock. Jeongguk’s cock.

“Bet you’re so tight,” Jeongguk groaned, his hand flying over his cock now. “Bet I’d have to work you open. One finger, then two, then three, four. I know you can handle it. You’d whine about it. Tell me to hurry up.”

His knot was swelling bigger now, catching on his fist with each stroke. He was leaking steadily, making his hand slick and messy.

“But I wouldn’t,” Jeongguk continued, his voice rough. “I’d take my time. Make you beg for it. Make you admit you want my cock.”

He could see it so clearly — Jimin’s face flushed, his eyes wet, his small cock hard and leaking against his stomach. Jeongguk would fuck him with his fingers until Jimin was sobbing, until his hole was loose and dripping, until he couldn’t remember why they’d been fighting.

“Please, alpha,” Jeongguk imagined Jimin saying, his voice high and desperate. “Please, fuck me.”

“Yeah, good boy. So good for me, begging for it,” Jeongguk gasped. His balls were drawing up tight, his whole body tensing. “Yeah, princess, I’d fuck you so good. Split you open on my cock. Make you take all of it.”

His hand twisted over the head of his cock, his knot fully inflated now, pulsing in his grip. He was so close. So fucking close.

“You’d look so pretty,” he panted. “Taking my knot. Your little hole stretched around it. Crying because it’s too much but you love it anyway.”

Jeongguk came with a broken groan, his hips jerking as he spilled across his stomach in thick ropes. His knot pulsed in his hand and he just kept coming, soaking his shirt, his hand, the sheets beneath him.

When he finally stopped, he was shaking. His cock was still hard, his knot still swollen and the relief he’d been expecting didn’t come.

Instead, the heat intensified. His skin felt like it was on fire, his alpha rising to the surface with teeth bared and eyes red.

“No,” Jeongguk whispered, realization sinking in like ice water. “Shit.”

This wasn’t pre-rut anymore.

The fight had triggered his rut. Jimin’s scent, the confrontation, the way they’d been so close and Jeongguk had walked away — his alpha had taken it as a challenge, as a mating dance cut short.

He grabbed his phone with shaking hands, pulled up his rut tracking app. Sure enough — he was three days early, the usual pre-rut symptoms escalating straight into full rut.

“Fuck,” he breathed.

He needed to call someone. Namjoon hyung, maybe, or his manager. Needed to clear his schedule, stock up on supplies, lock himself in his house for the next week.

But all he could think about was Jimin. Jimin’s vanilla scent. Jimin’s small body. Jimin’s hole that Jeongguk would never actually get to touch.

He looked down at his cock — still hard, his knot still inflated begging to fill Jimin’s hole and ready to go again.

This was going to be a long week.

“Asshole,” Jimin muttered, slamming his bedroom door. “Fucking asshole alpha who doesn’t know shit.”

He threw his bag in the corner and started pacing. His hands were shaking — with anger or hurt or something else, he couldn’t tell. Jeongguk’s words kept playing in his head on repeat. Princess. Getting special treatment. Everyone spoils you.

Like Jimin had asked for it. Like he wanted people to treat him like he was fragile.

The worst part was that Jeongguk didn’t even know why Jimin had left practice early. Didn’t ask. Just assumed, judged and said cruel shit designed to hurt.

Jimin had left a little early because his heat was coming. He could feel it building — the way his skin felt too sensitive, the way his temperature kept spiking, the way slick had started to leak without his permission. He’d gone home to prepare, to get his nest ready, to make sure he had everything he needed before it hit in earnest.

But Jeongguk didn’t know that. Hadn’t bothered to ask.

“Fuck him,” Jimin said viciously. He went to his closet and pulled out his heat kit — a large plastic bin he’d labeled in neat handwriting. Inside: water bottles, protein bars, electrolyte packets, wet wipes, lube even though he wouldn’t need it and his collection of toys.

He grabbed the biggest one — a thick silicone dildo in deep purple, anatomically correct down to the realistic veins along the shaft and the inflatable knot at the base. He’d bought it years ago, back when heats were still new and terrifying to him, and he’d needed something to get through them.

It helped that if he closed his eyes, he could pretend it was Jeongguk’s cock.

“Fucking asshole,” Jimin muttered again, but his voice had lost its bite. His thighs were pressing together, his hole already starting to slick up. His heat was coming faster than expected — probably triggered by the confrontation, by Jeongguk’s scent, by the way they’d been so close and Jeongguk had looked at him like he wanted to devour him.

Jimin stripped out of his clothes, leaving them in a pile on the floor. His cock was already half-hard, small and pink, and when he touched himself his fingers came away wet with slick.

“Shit,” he breathed.

He climbed onto his bed, arranging his pillows the way he liked them — enough to support his back but still let him spread his legs wide. He grabbed the dildo, the bottle of lube and tried to ignore the way his hands were shaking.

This was fine. This was normal. He’d get through his heat the same way he always did — with his toys and his own hand and absolutely no help from anyone else.

Especially not Jeongguk.

Jimin’s hole clenched at the thought, more slick gushing out. He reached down, his fingers sliding through the mess, circling his rim. He was already loose, his body preparing itself and one finger slipped inside easily.

“Ah,” he gasped. The stretch felt good even though it wasn’t enough. He added a second finger, scissoring them, working himself open.

His mind was already wandering. He tried to stop it — tried to think about anything other than Jeongguk — but his heat-addled brain had other ideas.

He thought about Jeongguk’s hands. Big and strong. Thought about them on his hips, his thighs, spreading him wide.

“No,” Jimin whispered, but his fingers moved faster. “Don’t think about him. He’s an asshole. He hates you.”

But his cock didn’t care. It was fully hard now, leaking against his stomach, and his hole was clenching around his fingers like it was trying to pull them deeper.

He grabbed the dildo with his free hand, positioning it at his entrance. The head was thick — thicker than his fingers, thick enough to burn in the best way — and he had to push to get it inside.

“Fuck,” he moaned as it breached him. The stretch was immediate, overwhelming, his body fighting and accepting it all at once. He pulled his fingers out and gripped the base of the dildo, working it deeper inch by inch.

It felt huge. Felt like too much. Felt exactly like he imagined Jeongguk’s cock would feel.

“Shit,” Jimin panted. His free hand wrapped around his own cock, stroking in time with the slow thrust of the dildo. “Fuck, that’s- Oh, I bet you’re bigger than this, Alpha.”

He couldn’t help it. He thought about Jeongguk above him, inside him. Thought about those red eyes looking down at him, that deep voice calling him princess but meaning it different this time. Possessive. Claiming.

“You’re so small,” imaginary-Jeongguk would say, his hands gripping Jimin’s thighs hard enough to bruise. “Made to take my big cock. Made for me.”

Jimin’s hips bucked, taking the dildo deeper. It hit that spot inside him and he cried out, his back arching off the bed. Slick was pouring out of him now, soaking the sheets, making obscene wet sounds every time he thrust the toy in and out.

“Ah, ah. Jeongguk-”

He was too far gone to feel guilty about it. His heat was building, his omega instincts screaming for an alpha — for his alpha — and nothing else would do.

His hand flew over his cock, his other hand working the dildo faster, harder. He reached for the pump attached to the knot and squeezed — once, twice, three times. The knot inflated inside him, stretching him impossibly wide and Jimin sobbed with the pleasure-pain of it.

“Fuck,” he gasped. “Fuck, alpha, please.”

He imagined Jeongguk knotting him for real. Locking inside him and filling him up, breeding him the way his body was begging for. He imagined Jeongguk’s mouth on his scent gland, teeth scraping but not biting, teasing the possibility of a mate mark.

“Mine,” imaginary-Jeongguk would growl. “My omega. My little slut, so hungry for cock. Come for your alpha.”

That did it. Jimin came with a wail, his whole body seizing up as he spilled across his stomach in thin spurts. His hole clenched around the inflated knot, milking it like it was real and he felt another gush of slick soak the sheets beneath him.

When he came back to himself, he was shaking. The dildo was still inside him, the knot still inflated, plugging him full the way an alpha’s knot would. His heat hadn’t broken - wouldn’t break for days - but the edge was off. For now.

Jimin stared at the ceiling, breathing hard, trying not to cry.

He’d just masturbated thinking about Jeongguk. Jeongguk, who’d called him spoiled. Jeongguk, who looked at him like a burden. Jeongguk, who’d made it very clear they could never be anything more than what they were. The same Jeongguk who took care of him. Who protected him in the military. Who always took his side.

“I hate you,” Jimin whispered to the empty room.

But even heat-drunk and exhausted and hurt, he knew it was a lie. When he was about to close his eyes, to rest a little before having to go again, when he got the text:

jeonggukie 💜:

sorry about what i said, i wasnt thinking straight

nothing about it was true

Jimin heart was racing. His cheeks flushed from shame of what he just did.

me:

dont worry about it.

jeonggukie 💜:

apologize too

Jimin rolled his eyes.

me:

dont tell me what to do ☺️

have a nice night asshole

jeonggukie 💜:

you too princess

Jimin put his phone aside and finally closed his eyes. Sighing annoyed as he felt slick pouring out of his hole, his little cock already getting hard again.

Outside, the sun was setting over Seoul. Inside, two people who should have been together were alone in their houses, thinking about each other and trying desperately to stop.

They were all having drinks in Jeongguk’s house, celebrating the fact that they finally had finished the choreography. As the night passed, one by one of his members started going home, Jimin got distracted on his phone which meant he was the last one there.

His hand was already on the door handle when he heard it — that bitter, sharp laugh behind him. The kind that meant Jeongguk was pissed and done pretending otherwise.

“You’re really not even gonna say goodbye?” Jeongguk’s voice cut across the entryway. “Not even gonna apologize for ignoring me and being a dick all night? For showing up at my house smelling like another alpha?”

Jimin’s fingers tightened on the handle. He could leave. Should leave. But that last part — the way Jeongguk said another alpha like it was something rotting between his teeth — made heat spike up the back of his neck.

He turned around. “Who the fuck are you to demand anything from me? Especially who I let fuck me?”

Jeongguk moved fast, crossing the space between them in three strides. His scent hit Jimin like a wall — dark coffee, bitter and rich, completely overpowering. It made Jimin’s own vanilla scent go syrupy-sweet in response, something he couldn’t control even when he wanted to.

“Who is it?” Jeongguk asked, close enough now that Jimin could see the red creeping into his eyes.

“I already told you it’s none of your business.”

“Who is it, princess?”

Fuck. The way he said it — low, possessive, like Jimin belonged to him and they both knew it. It was supposed to make him mad but instead, Jimin’s thighs pressed together on instinct, trying to stop his dick from twitching in his pants. “Don’t call me that.”

“Tell me, Jimin.” Jeongguk’s hand came up to the wall beside Jimin’s head, caging him in. Not touching, but close enough that Jimin could feel the heat radiating off him.

“Eunwoo.”

Something dangerous flickered across Jeongguk’s face. “You fucked my friend?!”

“He’s my friend too.”

“Clearly not.”

“What?”

“You can’t fuck a friend.”

“I just did, Jeongguk.” Jimin tilted his chin up, defiant even though his pulse was hammering in his throat.

“Fuck.” Jeongguk’s jaw clenched. “You’re infuriating, hyung. I hate this.”

“I hate you too.” Jimin lied, obviously.

“That’s not what I said.”

Then Jeongguk’s mouth was on his, hard and angry and perfect. Jimin made a sound — high, needy, embarrassing — and Jeongguk swallowed it down. His hands went straight to Jimin’s ass, squeezing hard enough to leave marks, and Jimin’s knees went liquid. He would’ve fallen if Jeongguk wasn’t already pressing him back against the wall, holding him up with just the weight of his body.

He had waited for God knows how long. Years of suffering and hiding his desires, of having to use suppressants when his heat was close so Jeongguk wouldn’t realize he was getting wet with slick every time they hugged, scented each other or when Jeongguk touched his neck, massaging it like he always did.

Jimin kissed back just as mean, biting Jeongguk’s bottom lip until he tasted copper. Jeongguk groaned — this rough, guttural thing  — and shoved his thigh between Jimin’s legs. The friction made Jimin whimper.

“Bet Eunwoo didn’t make you sound like that,” Jeongguk muttered against his mouth, kissing him again before Jimin could answer. “Bet he didn’t know what the fuck to do with all of this. Probably just shoved his dick in and called it done.” he said, squeezing his ass again.

“Fuck you,” Jimin gasped, but his hips were already rolling against Jeongguk’s thigh, chasing pressure.

“He doesn’t know you.” Jeongguk’s teeth scraped down Jimin’s neck, right over his scent gland. Not biting, just threatening. “Doesn’t know how you like it. Doesn’t know how to take care of you.”

“And you do?”

“Better than him.” Jeongguk pulled back just enough to look at Jimin’s face — flushed, pupils blown, lips swollen. “Way better than anyone could.”

Then he was hauling Jimin away from the wall, half-carrying him to the black leather couch in the living room. Jimin landed on his back, breathless, and watched Jeongguk drop to his knees between his legs.

“Pants off,” Jeongguk ordered.

“You’re so fucking bossy,” Jimin said, but he was already lifting his hips, letting Jeongguk yank his jeans and underwear down in one rough pull. The air was cold on his skin. He was already half-hard, already slick, and from the way Jeongguk’s nostrils flared, he could smell it.

“Shit,” Jeongguk breathed. His hands pushed Jimin’s thighs apart, spreading him wide. “Look at you. Already wet for me.”

“Not for you,” Jimin lied. His voice came out shaky.

“No?” Jeongguk’s thumb pressed against Jimin’s hole — just pressure, not pushing in yet. “Then why are you dripping?”

Jimin bit his lip, refusing to answer. Jeongguk smiled, sharp and mean, and pushed one finger inside.

“Ah-” Jimin’s back arched off the couch. Jeongguk’s fingers were thick, calloused from working out and the stretch burned in the best way.

“Still think it’s not for me?” Jeongguk added a second finger, twisting as he pushed deeper. The wet sound of it made Jimin’s face burn. “You’re so fucking tight, Jimin-ah. Did Eunwoo even open you up properly or did he just use you like a fleshlight?”

“Stop, mm- stop talking about him.” Jimin panted. His hands fisted in the couch cushions.

“Why? Does it bother you?” Jeongguk crooked his fingers, finding that spot inside that made Jimin see stars. “Want me to stop thinking about how his hands were on you? How he got to touch you and it didn’t feel like this.”

He cut himself off, jaw tight. Added a third finger instead, stretching Jimin wider. The burn was intense now, riding the edge of too much.

“Fuck, Jeongguk-” Jimin’s hips rolled down, taking him deeper. He was babbling, half-coherent. “Right there, don’t stop, please-”

Jeongguk stopped immediately.

Jimin’s eyes flew open. “What- why did you-”

“Say please.” Jeongguk’s fingers were still inside him, not moving. Just filling him, keeping him open. “Ask me nicely.”

“Fuck you.”

“Then I’m done with you.” Jeongguk started to pull out.

“Wait-” Jimin grabbed his wrist. His pride warred with the aching emptiness, the need coiled tight in his gut. Pride lost. “Please.”

Jeongguk’s eyes went darker. “Please what?”

“Please don’t stop,” Jimin whispered, hating how desperate he sounded. “Please, Jeongguk, I need-”

Jeongguk’s fingers started moving again, fast and brutal, hitting that spot over and over. “Yeah, you do. You need this. Need me.”

“Ah, ah- fuck, alpha-” Jimin couldn’t get enough air. His thighs were shaking, his cock was leaking onto his stomach and Jeongguk’s coffee scent was everywhere, drowning him. “Gonna- I’m gonna-”

“Yes,” Jeongguk ordered. “Come on my fingers, omega.”

Jimin shattered. His vision whited out, his whole body going taut as he came untouched, spilling across his stomach in thick pulses. He felt Jeongguk’s fingers still working him through it, felt slick gushing out around them.

When he came back to himself, Jeongguk was pulling his fingers out — slow, careful. They were coated in clear slick, dripping with it. Jimin watched, dazed, as Jeongguk brought them to Jimin’s mouth.

“Open it.”

Jimin’s lips parted automatically. Jeongguk pushed two fingers inside, and Jimin tasted himself — sweet vanilla, musky, wrong and right all at once. He sucked obediently, his tongue working between Jeongguk’s fingers, cleaning them.

“Fuck,” Jeongguk groaned. His free hand went to his crotch, palming himself through his jeans. “Fuck, Jimin, you’re gonna kill me.”

He pulled his fingers out of Jimin’s mouth — Jimin whined at the loss — and pushed them back inside Jimin’s hole. Two fingers, easy now, Jimin stretched and loose. Then Jeongguk brought them to his own mouth.

Jimin watched, breathless, as Jeongguk licked his fingers clean. As his eyes rolled back slightly, as he made this hungry, satisfied sound in the back of his throat.

“So sweet,” Jeongguk murmured. “Fuck, Jimin, you taste so good. Best thing I’ve ever tasted.”

Jimin’s face went hot. His spent cock twitched with interest. “Are you- are you gonna fuck me now or not?”

Jeongguk huffed a laugh. “You could barely handle three fingers. You really think you can take my cock, princess?”

“Don’t call me that. And I’m an omega,” Jimin said, breathless and defiant. “I was made to take cock. I can handle it.”

“We’ll see about that,” Jeongguk said and there was something dark in his voice that made Jimin shiver.

Jeongguk stood up, started working his belt open. The leather hissed through the loops. Jimin watched from the couch, still sprawled obscenely open, his thighs sticky with slick and come. He should feel embarrassed. He should feel something other than desperate want.

Jeongguk shoved his jeans down. His cock jutted out, thick and flushed dark, the head already leaking. Jimin’s mouth went dry. He’d imagined this — fuck, he’d imagined this so many times, late at night with his hand between his legs — but the reality was different. Heavier. Bigger. He was so fucking big that Jimin was almost scared it wouldn’t fit.

“Not that big, huh?” Jimin tried, his voice coming out breathier than he wanted.

Jeongguk laughed — actually laughed, this deep, amused sound. “You’re such a bad liar, princess.” He wrapped his hand around himself, stroking slower. His knot was already starting to swell at the base. “We both know exactly how big I am. We both know you’ve thought about it.”

Jimin’s face burned. He looked away.

“Hey.” Jeongguk’s hand came up to his jaw, forcing him to look back. “Eyes on me. I want to see your face when I split you open on my cock.”

“You’re so fucking arrogant,” Jimin muttered, but his hole clenched, empty and wanting.

“And you’re so fucking wet.” Jeongguk pushed Jimin’s thighs apart again, looking down at him like he was something to devour. “Look at you. Your little dick is already hard again. Fucking pathetic little cock begging to be touched.”

“It’s not that small-”

“It’s cute though.” Jeongguk’s thumb brushed over the head of Jimin’s cock — small, pretty and flushed pink, barely five inches even fully hard. “Perfect for a little omega like you. Everything about you is small. Tiny waist, tiny hands, tiny cock. Made to be fucked and filled.”

“Shut up, Jeongguk.” Jimin gasped, but his hips jerked up into the touch.

“Make me.” Jeongguk lined himself up, the head of his cock pressing against Jimin’s hole. Just pressure, not pushing in yet. Teasing. “Or are you too busy being a brat?”

“Just fuck me already- ah!”

Jeongguk pushed in — one hard thrust that buried him halfway. The stretch was immediate, overwhelming, burning in a way that made Jimin’s vision blur. He was still loose from Jeongguk’s fingers, but this was different.

“Fuck,” Jeongguk groaned. His head dropped forward, forehead pressed to Jimin’s shoulder. “So tight. You feel so fucking good, Jimin.”

“More,” Jimin panted. His hands clutched at Jeongguk’s shoulders, nails digging in. “Come on, alpha, I thought you were gonna split me open-”

Jeongguk’s hips snapped forward, burying the rest of the way in one brutal thrust. Jimin cried out, his back arching off the couch. He was so full. Too full. He could feel Jeongguk everywhere — thick and hot and pulsing inside him, stretching him wider than he’d ever been stretched.

“There,” Jeongguk growled against his throat. “Is that what you wanted? My cock all the way inside your greedy little hole? I prepped your little pussy and you’re still so tight for me.”

“Yes, fuck- yes- “

“Am I small?” Jeongguk asked, even though he already knew the answer to that.

”Oh, oh my god-“ Jimin rolled his eyes, he doesn’t even know if it’s from pleasure or from the question Jeongguk just asked.

“Won’t you answer my question, princess?” Jeongguk demanded, cock buried deep inside, his hand squeezing Jimin’s cheeks, locking his face in place, not letting him turn to the side. He then, inserts two fingers inside Jimin’s mouth, in and out deep, making Jimin gag and drool all over himself. “Answer me, omega.”

“Y-You’re so big.” Jimin said breathless, voice rough from the fingering. “So big I thought it wouldn’t fit.”

Jeongguk smirked, pulled his dick out almost all the way and slammed back in. Set a rhythm that was punishing, angry, perfect. Each thrust hit deep, dragging against Jimin’s walls, making him see stars. The wet sound of it filled the room — obscene, slick, mixed with Jimin’s high whines and Jeongguk’s rough breathing.

“You’re so small,” Jeongguk panted, his hands gripping Jimin’s hips hard enough to bruise. “Taking my cock like you were made for it. Were you, Jimin? Were you made for me, like a little slut?”

“Ah, ah. Fuck-” Jimin couldn’t form words. His hands scrabbled at Jeongguk’s back, his legs wrapped around his waist, trying to pull him deeper.

“Answer me. I won’t ask again.”

“Yes!” Jimin sobbed. “Yes, made for you. Fuck, just don’t stop.“

Jeongguk’s laugh was dark. “Wasn’t planning to, love.” His hips stuttered, his rhythm faltering for just a second. “But I keep thinking-” Another hard thrust. “Someone else was here. Someone else touched you.”

Jimin’s eyes flew open. “What-”

Jeongguk stopped. Completely still, buried deep inside Jimin, his cock throbbing against Jimin’s walls.

“No, please.” Jimin’s hands clutched at him desperately. “No- don’t stop, please don’t stop-”

“Was he bigger than me?” Jeongguk’s voice was rough, dangerous. His eyes were completely red now, his alpha fully present. “Did Eunwoo fuck you better than this?”

“I don’t- that’s not- “ Jimin tried to roll his hips, to get friction, but Jeongguk’s grip tightened against his waist, holding him still.

“Tell me.”

“Jeongguk, please-”

“Is. He. Better. Than. Me?”

Each word came with a thrust — hard, precise, brutal. Jimin’s head slammed back against the couch cushion, his mouth falling open on a wail. Jeongguk fucked him like he was trying to prove something, like he was trying to ruin Jimin for anyone else.

“No!” Jimin gasped. The pleasure was too much, too intense, wiping out every thought except Jeongguk, Jeongguk, Jeongguk. “I didn’t- I’ve never fucked him, never even kissed him. Oh, god-”

Jeongguk stilled again. “What?”

“I lied,” Jimin sobbed. His face was wet — when had he started crying? “I lied, okay? I just, I wanted to make you jealous, I wanted-” His voice cracked. “You’re the only alpha I want. You’re the only one I’ve ever wanted.”

The silence stretched out. Jimin could feel his own heartbeat, could feel Jeongguk’s cock still hard and huge inside him, could feel slick dripping down his thighs.

Then Jeongguk’s expression shifted. Softened. “Good boy,” he murmured, and kissed Jimin.

It was different from before. Slower. Sweeter. Jimin melted into it, his hands coming up to cup Jeongguk’s face. He could taste salt —didn’t know if it was his tears or Jeongguk’s.

“My good boy,” Jeongguk whispered against his lips.

”A-ah, alpha.”

“My perfect omega.” He started moving again, but gentler now. Rolling his hips in deep, steady strokes that made Jimin whimper. “Gonna fill you up. Gonna breed you so full you’ll be dripping for days.”

“Please,” Jimin breathed. “Please, alpha, want it- want you-”

Jeongguk’s pace picked up, his thrusts getting harder, more erratic. Jimin could feel his knot starting to catch on each thrust out, stretching him impossibly wider. The friction was maddening.

“Gonna knot you,” Jeongguk panted. “Gonna lock inside you and breed you properly. You want that?”

“Yeah, fuck, yes, please. Alpha- “

Jeongguk’s hand wrapped around Jimin’s cock — small and hard and leaking all over his stomach. Two fingers was all it took to circle him completely. “Come for me, princess. Come on my cock.”

Jimin’s orgasm hit him like a freight train. His whole body seized up, his hole clamping down on Jeongguk’s cock as he came in thin spurts across his own belly. He heard himself sobbing Jeongguk’s name, over and over, like a prayer.

“Fuck, Jimin-” Jeongguk’s rhythm shattered. He slammed in one last time and stayed there, his knot swelling huge, locking them together as he came. Jimin felt it — the hot pulse of come flooding him, filling him up, so much that it had nowhere to go. Jeongguk’s knot kept it all trapped inside, plugging him full.

“Fuck, princess,” Jeongguk groaned, his hips still making little aborted thrusts, his cock still pulsing. “You sound so beautiful when I breed you.” He bent down, his mouth finding Jimin’s scent gland, and sucked hard.

Jimin shattered again, a second orgasm ripping through him dry, his body shaking violently. Nothing came out of his cock, but his hole spasmed around Jeongguk’s knot, milking him.

“So fucking beautiful for your alpha,” Jeongguk murmured against his throat. His hands stroked down Jimin’s sides, soothing. “My omega. Mine.”

“Yours,” Jimin whispered. His body felt like liquid. He couldn’t move if he wanted to. Jeongguk’s knot was huge inside him, still pulsing, still filling him with come. He’d never felt so full in his life.

Jeongguk shifted them carefully — lying down on the couch with Jimin sprawled across his chest, still locked together. His hand came up to stroke through Jimin’s sweaty hair.

“I’m sorry,” Jeongguk said quietly. “For the fight. For all of it. I was scared.”

“Scared of what?” Jimin’s voice was hoarse.

“That you’d keep drifting away. That you’d realize you could do better than me.” Jeongguk’s chest rose and fell beneath him. “That you’d find someone who deserved you more. Someone who didn’t fuck everything up.”

Jimin pushed up on shaky arms to look at Jeongguk’s face. “You’re an idiot.”

“Yeah, I know.”

“I’ve been in love with you since before I even understood what that meant.” Jimin’s eyes were burning again. “You’re it for me, Jeongguk. There’s no one better. There’s no one else, period.”

Jeongguk’s hand came up to cup his face. “I love you too. Have for years. I just- I didn’t know how to say it without ruining our friendship.”

“Well.” Jimin looked down at where they were still locked together, at the mess they’d made. “Pretty sure we ruined everything anyway.”

“Yeah.” Jeongguk grinned; soft, fond, completely different from his usual cocky smirk. “But we can build it back. Better this time.”

“Better this time,” Jimin agreed, and kissed him.

After Jeongguk’s knot finally deflated, he’d carried Jimin to the bathroom — ignored Jimin’s protests that he could walk — and cleaned them both up with a warm washcloth. Gentle, careful, his hands soft on Jimin’s oversensitive skin. Then he’d disappeared into his bedroom and come back with pajama pants.

Jimin recognized them immediately. Gray cotton, worn soft from washing, the drawstring frayed at one end. He’d left them here months ago, back when staying over was normal. Back before everything got fucked up.

“You kept them,” Jimin said quietly.

Jeongguk shrugged, but his ears went pink. “Yeah, well. I kept thinking you’d come back for them eventually.”

Now Jimin was curled up on the couch in those pants and nothing else, sleepy but not ready to let this moment end. Jeongguk sat beside him, already pulling Jimin into his lap like he belonged there. His face pressed into Jimin’s neck, breathing deep, and Jimin felt the rumble of satisfaction in Jeongguk’s chest.

“His scent on you was pissing me off,” Jeongguk muttered against his skin. “Did you really not fuck him, hyung?”

“Oh, I’m hyung now?” Jimin’s voice was teasing. “A few minutes ago I was a pathetic greedy little omega. And no, I didn’t fuck him, we just hugged, stupid alpha.”

“I’m sorry I called your dick pathetic.” Jeongguk pulled back to look at him, his expression genuinely apologetic. “But I also called it cute. I got carried away.”

“I don’t mind it.” Jimin’s fingers played with the hair at the nape of Jeongguk’s neck. “I like when the alpha I’m fucking is rough.”

“The alpha you’re fucking?” Jeongguk’s teeth found Jimin’s scent gland, biting lightly. The possessiveness in his voice made Jimin shiver. “I’m hurt, that’s all that I am to you? You’re lucky you’re cute and that we’re famous ‘cause I would’ve mated you already without even thinking twice.”

The casual way he said it — I would’ve mated you already — made Jimin’s heart stutter.

“What are you then? My alpha?”

“Yes.” Jeongguk kissed the spot he’d bitten. “And even if I wasn’t, I’m pretty sure I would’ve ruined you for anybody else.”

“You did,” Jimin admitted softly.

“Am I better than the others, though?” Jeongguk’s hands slid down to Jimin’s waist, thumbs stroking over bare skin. “Bigger?”

“Stop being so insecure. You know you’re big.”

“Okay, but tell me.”

“Yes, Jeongguk, you’re the biggest one I’ve ever had.”

“Hmm. I knew it.” Jeongguk grinned and stole another kiss — slow and sweet, tasting like contentment.

Jimin melted into it, his hands coming up to frame Jeongguk’s face. The room smelled like sex and coffee and vanilla all mixed together. Like them. He never wanted to leave this couch.

“What will we tell the members?” Jimin asked between kisses.

“I don’t know.” Jeongguk’s nose traced along his jaw.

“Maybe we let them figure it out.”

“Sure.”

They stayed like that for a while — kissing lazy and unhurried, Jeongguk’s hands wandering over Jimin’s back and sides like he was memorizing the shape of him. Every few minutes one of them would pull back just to look at the other, like they couldn’t quite believe this was real.

“Your hair’s a mess,” Jeongguk said, trying to smooth down where it was sticking up.

“Your fault. You’re the one who kept pulling it.”

“You liked it.” Jeongguk caught Jimin’s wrist, pressed a kiss to the inside of it. “You like everything I do to you.”

“Cocky bastard.”

“Mm-hm.” Another kiss, this one to Jimin’s palm. His eyes were soft, dark, completely focused on Jimin like nothing else in the world mattered. “I think you love it.”

Jimin’s chest felt too full. “Yeah. I do.”

Jeongguk shifted them so Jimin was tucked against his side, head on his shoulder. His hand stroked through Jimin’s hair — slow, soothing. The kind of touch that said mine, safe, stay.

“Do you want to stay?” Jeongguk asked quietly. “Tonight, I mean. You don’t have to if you don’t want to, of course.”

“I do, but not only tonight. I want to stay forever,” Jimin interrupted. The words came out before he could stop them, raw and honest.

Jeongguk went still beneath him. Then his arms tightened, pulling Jimin closer. “Good,” he said, his voice rough. “Because I want you to stay forever too.”

Jimin tilted his head up, found Jeongguk already looking at him. They kissed again — deeper this time, Jimin’s hand fisting in Jeongguk’s shirt, Jeongguk’s fingers tangling in his hair. It felt like a promise. Like the beginning of something they should’ve started years ago. Which made Jeongguk remember something:

“Oh, fuck! Wait!” Jeongguk said suddenly, carefully extracting himself from where he’d been wrapped around Jimin on the couch. His knot had finally deflated and he needed to do this before his ADHD brain got distracted with Jimin’s lips again. “I have to do this right.”

He slid off the couch and knelt down in front of it, looking up at Jimin. Jimin was still sprawled there, gloriously debauched — his hair a mess, his lips swollen, his skin flushed. Jeongguk’s cum was still leaking out of him, and the sight was a masterpiece and it made Jeongguk’s swollen cock twitch with interest.

Focus, he told himself.

“Jimin-”

“What?” Jimin’s eyes went wide, then amused. “Are you going to propose to me? Isn’t it a little too early for that?”

“Shhh!” Jeongguk put his finger on Jimin’s lips, fighting a smile. “Let me talk.”

Jimin’s eyes crinkled with laughter, but he stayed quiet.

Jeongguk took a breath. His heart was hammering in his chest — harder than it had been during sex, somehow. This felt more vulnerable. More real.

“I know we already agreed that I’m your alpha but I have some things I want you to know. Do you remember our first trip together? Just the two of us. To Tokyo, for your birthday.”

Jimin’s expression softened. “Of course I remember.”

“I planned that whole trip,” Jeongguk continued, his hands resting on Jimin’s knees. “The restaurants, the shopping, the quiet little café you loved, Disney. I had this whole thing planned. I was going to take you to the park and tell you-” His voice caught. “I was going to tell you I was in love with you.”

“Jeongguk-”

“I chickened out,” Jeongguk said, laughing at himself. “I stood there with you, watching the fireworks and I couldn’t get the words out. You were so happy, and I was terrified I’d ruin it. So I just put all my feelings into that GCF.”

“I love that video, Jeonggukie.” Jimin’s hand came up to cup his face. “But you should’ve told me anyway.”

“I know. But there were so many times I almost did. That night we got drunk during Are You Sure. The morning after we got back from military service and you made me breakfast. Every single time you laughed at my jokes or fell asleep on my shoulder or-” He had to stop, had to breathe through the emotion clogging his throat. “Every time you dated someone else, I honestly wanted to kill myself but instead I just prayed for it to end soon. Sorry about that. Fuck, I’m not even religious.”

Jimin laughed, bright and surprised. “That’s so dramatic.”

“I’m serious!” Jeongguk protested. “You’d tell me about some stupid asshole and I’d have to smile and be supportive while my alpha was screaming at me to rip his throat out. It was torture, hyung.”

“Again, you could’ve said something.”

“I know. I was an idiot.” Jeongguk’s thumbs stroked over Jimin’s knees. “But I need you to understand something. I know you’re the most beautiful, talented, loving person to ever walk this earth. I know that logically, other people are going to want you. But me and my alpha? We can’t be reasonable when it comes to you. We just can’t.”

Jimin’s eyes were getting shiny. “Jeongguk-”

“I want to kiss you every day for the rest of my life,” Jeongguk continued. His voice had gone soft, earnest. “And if there are other lives after this one, I want to find you in those too. I want to be with you in every single one.”

A tear slipped down Jimin’s cheek. Jeongguk reached up to wipe it away.

“You never leave my mind,” he said. “Every romantic movie reminds me of you. Every love song on the radio is about you. When I write lyrics, I’m writing them for you. When I work out, I’m thinking about being strong enough to protect you. When I cook, I’m wondering if you’d like it. Everything comes back to you.”

“Stop,” Jimin said, his voice breaking. “You’re going to make me cry.”

“Good tears though, right?”

“Good tears,” Jimin confirmed.

Jeongguk smiled. He leaned forward, pressing a kiss to Jimin’s knee, then his thigh. “I love how small you are. How you fit perfectly against me. I love your vanilla scent and how it goes sweet when I’m close like this. I love your little nose, your smile and the way your eyes disappear when you’re laughing hard.”

His kisses were traveling higher now. Jimin’s breath hitched.

“I love your body,” Jeongguk murmured against his inner thigh. “Every part of it. Your thick thighs that I always want to mark. Your tiny waist. Your perfect and plump ass that was clearly made for my cock.”

“Jeongguk!”

“I love your little hole,” Jeongguk ignored him and continued, his voice going rougher. “How tight it is. How wet you get for me. How it clenches around my knot like it’s trying to keep me inside forever, begging for pups.”

“Of course,” Jimin said, half-laughing, full-breathless. “Of course you had to get horny in the middle of it.”

“It’s really not my fault, I can’t help it!” Jeongguk looked up at him, grinning. “I can’t stop thinking with my knot after experiencing being inside you. You’ve ruined me, hyung. I’m just a horny boy in love now. I want to fuck you every day.”

”Seven days a week?” Jimin asked, giggling shyly.

”Fuck, I sing that one thinking about you too. Maybe I’m obsessed with you.”

“You’re ridiculous.”

“I am whatever you say I am,” Jeongguk smiled. Then his expression turned serious again. He took both of Jimin’s hands in his. “So, Park Jimin. Will you be my boyfriend? And someday, when we’re ready, will you be my mate?”

The room went quiet. Jimin was looking down at him with so much love it made Jeongguk’s chest ache.

“Yes,” Jimin whispered. “Yes to both, alpha.”

Jeongguk surged up, kissing him hard. Jimin’s arms came around his neck, pulling him closer and they stayed like that — tangled together on the couch, coffee and vanilla mixing in the air, two hearts finally beating in sync.

“I love you,” Jeongguk murmured against his lips.

“I love you too,” Jimin said back. “Even when you get horny during your romantic speeches.”

“Especially then?” Jeongguk asked with a grin.

“Especially then,” Jimin answered and pulled him in for another kiss.

When they finally made it to bed, Jeongguk pulled Jimin against his chest and didn’t let go. Jimin fell asleep listening to his heartbeat, breathing in coffee and home.

When they finally made it to bed, Jeongguk pulled Jimin against his chest and didn’t let go. Jimin fell asleep listening to his heartbeat, breathing in coffee and home.

The company building was mostly empty. Everyone else had gone home hours ago, but Jimin and Jeongguk had stayed to run through the new choreography one more time. At least, that’s what they’d told themselves.

Now Jimin was pressed against the mirrored wall, Jeongguk’s mouth hot on his, hands sliding under his shirt to find bare skin. The kiss was deep and hungry, Jeongguk’s tongue sliding against his, and Jimin made a sound that was definitely not practice-room appropriate.

“We should-” Jimin gasped when Jeongguk’s teeth found his neck. “Someone could come in-”

“Everyone’s gone.” Jeongguk’s hands gripped his hips, pulling him closer. “It’s just us, love.”

Jimin’s head fell back against the mirror, giving Jeongguk better access. His coffee scent was everywhere, making Jimin dizzy with want. They’d been insatiable the past three days — stealing kisses between schedules, fucking in Jeongguk’s car in the parking garage, waking each other up in the middle of the night just to touch.

Jeongguk’s hand slid down to Jimin’s ass, squeezing, and Jimin moaned.

The practice room door opened and they sprang apart like they’d been electrocuted. Jeongguk stumbled back two steps, his lips swollen and red. Jimin’s shirt was rucked up, his hair a disaster.

Hoseok stood in the doorway, his dance bag over his shoulder. He looked at them. Looked at Jeongguk’s guilty face. Looked at Jimin’s kiss-bruised mouth. Looked at the very obvious bulge in both their pants.

“Oh my god,” Hoseok said flatly. “Seriously, guys? Here?”

“Hyung-” Jeongguk started.

“In the practice room?” Hoseok’s expression was somewhere between amused and exasperated. “You couldn’t wait until you got home? I have to dance here tomorrow. I have to put my face on that floor.”

“We weren’t-” Jimin tried.

“I have eyes, Jiminie.” Hoseok shook his head. “I’m happy for you. Truly. It’s about damn time. But please, please be more careful. And also I’m fucking disgusted, I might vomit. That’s where I do my stretches!”

He wasn’t really disgusted — Jimin could tell by the way his eyes were crinkling at the corners, fighting a smile.

“We’ll be more careful,” Jeongguk promised, his face bright red.

“Uh-huh.” Hoseok grabbed the water bottle he’d apparently come back for. “I’m telling Namjoon he won the bet, by the way. He said you’d get together before the end of the month. I said it would take at least three more months of pining.”

“There’s a bet?” Jimin’s voice came out slightly strangled.

“Obviously.” Hoseok headed for the door, then paused. “Lock the door next time, idiots. And for the love of god, don’t fuck on the practice room floor. I know you’ve thought about it. Don’t.”

Then he was gone, the door clicking shut behind him.

Jimin and Jeongguk stared at each other. Then Jeongguk started laughing — this bright, surprised sound that made Jimin’s chest warm.

“They knew,” Jeongguk said, still grinning.

“They knew,” Jimin agreed.

Jeongguk crossed back to him, pulled him in for another kiss — slower this time, sweeter. “Guess we’re not as subtle as we thought.”

“Guess not.” Jimin smiled against his mouth. “You okay with that?”

“Yeah.” Jeongguk’s hands came up to cup his face, thumbs stroking over his cheekbones. “I’m done hiding this. Hiding you. I want everyone to know you’re mine.”

“Good,” Jimin said. “Because I’m not letting you go.”

They kissed until their lips were swollen and their scents were completely tangled together.

“But Hobi-hyung had a point about the door.” Jeongguk locked the practice room door and they finished what they’d started against the mirror, the glass fogging with their breath, their reflections watching them claim each other again and again.

After their time at the company, they took a shower and went to Jimin’s house. It almost embarrassing to say they have their second round immediately after getting home and Jeongguk had already cleaned them up with a warm towel — wiped down Jimin’s thighs, his stomach, the mess they’d made on the sheets — and then promptly gotten hard again, already ready for their third round in less than one hour. His knot was still locked inside Jimin, swollen and pulsing, but his cock had gone fully hard again, thick and demanding.

“You’re insatiable today,” Jimin had gasped, but he was already rolling his hips, taking Jeongguk deeper.

“Can’t help it, princess,” Jeongguk’s mouth found his, kissing him deep and dirty. “You feel too good. Smell too good.”

Now they were a mess again — Jeongguk thrusting in short, brutal strokes, limited by his knot still stretching Jimin wide. Cum from the previous round was leaking out around where they were joined, mixing with fresh slick that poured out of Jimin every time Jeongguk’s cock dragged against his walls. The sheets beneath them were soaked, sticky and obscene.

Jimin’s vanilla scent had gone so sweet it was almost cloying, mixing with Jeongguk’s coffee until the whole room smelled like a coffee shop, sex and them. His hands scrabbled at Jeongguk’s shoulders, his back, trying to find purchase as Jeongguk fucked into him with his knot locked tight.

“Ah, alpha, Jeongguk-”

Jeongguk’s teeth found his throat, biting down over his scent gland. Not hard enough to mate, but enough to make Jimin’s hole clench around him.

“So fucking perfect,” Jeongguk groaned. “Gonna fill you up again, kitten. Gonna breed you full of my pups until you can’t walk.”

And then, Jimin’s phone started ringing.

The sound cut through the haze of pleasure. Jimin’s eyes flew open, his hand reaching blindly for the nightstand where his phone was buzzing insistently.

“Leave it,” Jeongguk growled, catching his wrist and pinning it to the mattress. He kissed Jimin again, swallowing his protest.

“Come on, baby,” Jimin panted when Jeongguk finally let him breathe. His hips rolled, trying to get more friction. “It could be important.”

Jeongguk didn’t answer. Just kept thrusting — deep, relentless strokes that made Jimin see stars. His knot was huge inside him, dragging against his walls, stretching him impossibly wide with each movement.

Jimin tried to reach for the phone again. Jeongguk stopped moving completely.

“No, don’t stop.” Jimin whimpered.

Jeongguk grabbed the phone from the nightstand. Glanced at the screen impatiently. His eyes went dark with something dangerous and amused. He swiped to answer and held it to Jimin’s ear.

“H-Hello?” Jimin’s voice came out breathless, wrecked.

“Jiminie!” Taehyung’s voice was bright and cheerful, as always. “Hey, are you busy? I wanted to ask about- are you okay? You sound weird.”

Jeongguk’s hips moved — one slow, deep thrust that buried him to the knot. Jimin’s mouth fell open on a silent gasp.

“I’m-” Jimin had to swallow and had to force his voice to work. “I’m fine. Just- just exercising.”

“Exercising? At eleven at night?” Taehyung sounded skeptical.

“Yeah, I- ah- “ Jeongguk had started moving again, his rhythm steady and brutal. Jimin bit his lip hard, trying to stay quiet. “I couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d- mmnh, do some, uh, some cardio.”

“Cardio,” Taehyung repeated. “Right. Well, I was calling because I wanted to ask if you wanted to come over tomorrow and have dinner with me, I invited Yoongi hyung too. Jimin, are you sure you’re okay? You sound really out of breath.”

“I’m running-” Jeongguk’s hand wrapped around Jimin’s cock — small, hard and leaking all over his stomach — and started stroking in time with his thrusts. Jimin’s vision whited out. “I’m fine, Tae, really-”

“Because you sound like you’re dying.”

“Just-” Jeongguk’s thumb pressed against his slit, smearing precome. Jimin’s thighs started shaking. “Fuck, I mean- I’m just really going hard right now-”

Jeongguk’s shoulders shook with silent laughter. His mouth found Jimin’s throat, sucking hard enough to leave marks.

“Okay, well, don’t overdo it,” Taehyung said. “Anyway, I was thinking we could-”

He kept talking. Jimin had no idea what he was saying. All he could focus on was Jeongguk’s cock splitting him open, his knot grinding against his walls, his hand working Jimin’s dick with practiced ease. Cum and slick were everywhere — on the sheets, on their thighs, dripping down to pool beneath them.

“Yeah, yeah, that sounds, Oh god- that sounds great, Tae.” Jimin’s free hand fisted in the sheets. He was so close. Too close. Jeongguk’s rhythm was perfect, hitting that spot inside him over and over, and his hand on Jimin’s cock was firm, tight and exactly right.

“Are you listening to me?” Taehyung asked.

“Yeah… Sorry. I’m listening. No, dinner sounds great, I-I can bring wine.” Jeongguk’s knot swelled bigger, locking them together impossibly tight, and that was it. Jimin came with a bitten-off cry that he tried desperately to muffle, his whole body going rigid as he spilled across his stomach, Jeongguk squeezed his cock slightly and Jimin almost screamed from pleasure and pain, all at once. He was so sensitive everywhere from fucking so many times in the same day — or the same week. His hole clamped down on Jeongguk’s cock, milking him, and he felt the hot pulse of Jeongguk coming too, flooding him with more cum even though he was already full to bursting.

“Jimin?” Taehyung’s voice went sharp with concern. “What was that? Are you hurt?”

“I’m-” Jimin could barely form words. His chest was heaving, his body still shaking through the aftershocks. “I’m okay. I just- I got a cramp”

“A cramp? Do you need me to come over?”

“No!” Jimin’s voice came out too loud, too desperate. “No, I’m fine, really, I just need to stretch it out. I have to go, Tae-”

“Are you sure-”

“Yeah, yes, I’ll call you later, I love you, bye!” Jimin ended the call before Taehyung could protest further. The phone slipped from his fingers, landing somewhere on the bed.

Jeongguk was still coming, his hips making little aborted thrusts, his knot pulsing inside Jimin as he emptied himself. When he finally stopped, he collapsed on top of Jimin, breathing hard.

“You’re evil,” Jimin panted. His heart was hammering against his ribs.

“You loved it.” Jeongguk’s voice was smug. He pressed a kiss to Jimin’s jaw, his throat, his collarbone. “Tae definitely knows something’s up now.”

“He’s going to kill us.”

“Worth it.” Jeongguk shifted his hips, grinding his still-swollen knot deeper. Jimin whimpered. “Besides, you sounded so pretty trying not to moan. I might have to fuck you while you’re on the phone more often.”

“You’re insane.”

“And you’re mine.” Jeongguk kissed him — slow and deep, claiming. “All mine, princess.”

Jimin couldn’t argue. Didn’t want to. He just pulled Jeongguk closer and let himself drown in coffee and in the feeling of being completely, utterly owned.

EPILOGUE

The seven of them were all sprawled on the floor after running the new choreography for two hours straight. Jimin was flat on his back, staring at the ceiling, his chest still heaving. Jeongguk was beside him — close enough that their hands were almost touching but not quite.

“You look good today, Jimin-ah,” Namjoon said from where he was stretched out near the mirrors. “Your skin looks great.”

Jimin turned his head, smiling. “Thanks, hyung. You look good too.”

“I think we all look good today!” Jeongguk said immediately, his voice coming out too loud, too defensive.

Namjoon’s eyebrows rose. He kept staring at Jimin with this thoughtful expression, like he was trying to solve a puzzle.

Jeongguk felt something ugly twist in his chest. Namjoon was staring at his omega. Namjoon, who was tall and smart and talented and perfect, looking at Jimin like that.

Jimin caught Jeongguk’s eye and mouthed ‘calm down’.

Jeongguk mouthed back ‘no’.

“I know what’s wrong with him!” Namjoon suddenly screamed, sitting up so fast he nearly knocked over Hoseok’s water bottle.

“What?” Seokjin said, perking up immediately. Everyone turned to look at Namjoon.

“Jimin is dating someone!”

Jimin coughed. Jeongguk coughed. Hoseok, for some reason, also coughed.

“Wait.” Taehyung looked at Namjoon like he’d grown a second head. “He would’ve told me. Don’t be silly.”

Jimin’s face went red. Guilt crept into his chest — Taehyung was his best friend. He should’ve told him. Should’ve-

“OH MY GOD!” Seokjin screamed, sitting up now too. “He is! Look at him! His face is doing the thing!”

“Hyung-” Jeongguk tried to intervene.

“Shut up, Jeongguk. I’m mad at you.” Seokjin pointed at him accusingly. “I know you’re dating some guy and you never told me either.” Then he turned back to Jimin. “Who is she, Jiminie?”

“She?” Yoongi said, laughing like he knew something no one else did.

“Well, it can obviously be a he too,” Seokjin amended, waving his hand. “He’s clearly bi.”

“What about me?” Jeongguk sat up, indignant. “It can be a she for him and not for me?”

“You’re the gayest person I’ve ever met, Jeongguk. Please, this is not about you.” Seokjin dismissed him with another wave.

“Jiminie.” Taehyung’s voice went soft, wounded. He was pouting dramatically. “Are you dating? I thought you’d end up with me. Or maybe you would’ve ended up with Namjoon hyung.”

Yoongi laughed again — this knowing, amused sound.

Jimin looked confused. “What-”

“Oh, definitely not me!” Namjoon said quickly, his hands up in surrender.

“Hold on! What?!” Jeongguk scrambled to his feet, jealousy running hot through his veins. “You wanted to date him, Taehyung?”

“Jeongguk, I’m gonna kick you out of the room,” Seokjin said. “I already told you this is not about you.”

“It is about me!” Jeongguk protested. “You just-”

“He’s dating Jeongguk!” Hoseok suddenly screamed, throwing his hands up. The rest of them looked shocked before realizing it was kind of obvious. “Oh my god. Everyone just shut up before Jeongguk kills half of us for also wanting his omega at some point!”

The room went silent.

“What the fuck?” Jeongguk said slowly. He looked around at the members. “What do you mean also wanting my-”

“Okay, okay.” Jimin got to his feet, grabbing Jeongguk’s hands to stop him from lunging at someone. “That’s enough. It’s a joke. Haha. Right, guys? No one wanted me.”

“I didn’t.” Yoongi said, simply.

“I did,” Seokjin said, shrugging casually. Jeongguk made a strangled noise.

“Fuck,” he said, looking at Jimin with wide, betrayed eyes. “Even the only other omega in the group wanted you. I can’t live like this, Jimin, you’re too hot.”

“It was like, five years ago,” Seokjin clarified. “Before I realized he was too similar to me and also you were so obviously in love with him that it would’ve been cruel to break your heart. He would’ve chosen the prettiest one. Me.”

“It wasn't obvious!” Jeongguk started.

“You were extremely obvious,” Namjoon said.

“Painfully obvious,” Hoseok agreed.

“I had to watch you two eye-fuck each other for years,” Yoongi added. “It was disgusting.”

“We weren’t-” Jimin tried.

“You were,” all five members said in unison.

Jimin and Jeongguk looked at each other. Jeongguk’s face was bright red. Jimin could feel his own cheeks burning.

“So you’re together now?” Taehyung asked. He still looked a little pouty, but his eyes were soft. “Actually together?”

“Yeah,” Jimin said quietly, squeezing Jeongguk’s hand. “We’re together.”

“Finally,” Yoongi muttered.

“About fucking time,” Seokjin added.

“Look at his neck. Oh my god, you’re a monster!” Taehyung pointed a finger at Jeongguk, accusatory. Jimin and Jeongguk both blushed.

“I’m happy for you two,” Namjoon said, and he meant it, Jimin could tell by his smile. “Just be careful, okay? We can’t let this mess with the group dynamic. No jealousy, no drama during schedules.”

“We won’t, don’t worry,” Jeongguk started.

“And please,” Hoseok interrupted, looking directly at them. “Please, Namjoon, tell them to stop fucking in the practice room.”

Jimin choked on air. Jeongguk’s hand tightened on his.

“We don’t-” Jimin tried.

“I caught you that day,” Hoseok said flatly. “Against the mirror. I’ve told you I have eyes, Jiminie. I saw things I can never unsee.”

“Oh god,” Jimin whispered, burying his face in his free hand.

“Not just the practice room,” Yoongi said, his voice dry. “I hope you two can stop fucking in every room of this company. I’ve caught them in almost half the rooms on this floor. Studio 3. That weird storage closet near the bathrooms. The vocal booth. They didn’t even realize I was there.”

“You didn’t say anything!” Jeongguk’s voice came out strangled.

“What was I supposed to say? ‘Hey, nice technique, keep it up’?” Yoongi’s face was deadpan. “I’m a little traumatized, honestly. I can’t look at the mixing board the same way.”

“Oh my god,” Jimin said again. He wanted the floor to open up and swallow him whole.

“The mixing board?!” Seokjin screeched. “I use that! I put my hands on that!”

“Wash it with disinfectant, maybe burn it.” Yoongi suggested helpfully.

“I hate all of you,” Jeongguk announced.

“No, you don’t,” Taehyung said, grinning now. He got up and pulled both Jimin and Jeongguk into a hug. “You love us. And we love you. Even if you’re disgusting and can’t keep your hands off each other.”

“We’re happy for you,” Namjoon said again. “Really. You deserve this.”

“Just maybe invest in a hotel room,” Hoseok added. “Or at least lock the door, like I told you.”

“We locked the door!” Jeongguk protested.

“Not all of them, apparently,” Yoongi said, his smile sharp.

Jimin looked at Jeongguk. Jeongguk looked back at him. They both started laughing — helpless, embarrassed, but also relieved. It was out now. Everyone knew. And instead of it being terrible, it was just… this. Chaotic, messy and exactly what they should’ve expected from their friends.

“I can’t believe you wanted to date him,” Jeongguk muttered to Taehyung.

“Get over it,” Taehyung said cheerfully. “You won. He picked you. Stop being insecure.”

“I’m not insecure-”

“You’re extremely insecure,” Jimin said, kissing his cheek. “It’s cute.”

“It’s not cute, it’s concerning,” Namjoon said. “Maybe you two should talk about-”

“We’re not having relationship counseling in the practice room,” Seokjin interrupted. “Can we please get back to work? Some of us have lives outside of your weird jealousy issues.”

“Says the man who admitted he wanted to date Jimin,” Jeongguk shot back. “I can’t let that go, hyung.”

“That was years ago, pup. I also had a crush on Yoongi at some point, it’s no big deal.”

“I don’t care if it was centuries ago. Wait, what?” Jeongguk stopped, shocked.

“Wait, what?” Yoongi repeated, his cheeks heating up.

“I won’t let you change the subject, Seokjin hyung. Don’t come near my-” Jeongguk frowned, not enjoying this whole We-All-Want-Jimin bullshit.

“Jeongguk-ah,” Jimin said softly, laughing and tugging on his hand. “Come on. Let it go.”

Jeongguk looked down at him. His expression softened immediately. “Fine. But only because you asked nicely, baby.”

“Disgusting,” Yoongi said, but he was smiling.

They got back to practice. But every time Jeongguk caught Namjoon, Taehyung or Seokjin looking at Jimin, his hand would find Jimin’s — possessive, claiming, making sure everyone knew exactly who Jimin belonged to.

And Jimin would squeeze back, his vanilla scent going sweet, perfectly content to be claimed.

Some things changed. Some things stayed the same.

And some things — like Jeongguk’s and Jimin’s relationship, only evolved, until the present moment became the future and the future became forever.
