Chapter Text
Ziggy stumbled into his apartment, tearing off his name tag and carelessly throwing it to the side as he kicked off his shoes, before he slinked into his bedroom, where he ripped open his wardrobe and pulled his bong down from the top shelf.
"Oh, water," Ziggy mumbled, lazily walking out to his bathroom to fill it up with water before slinking back into his bedroom, sitting down on his floor next to his mattress, the 19-year-old grabbing his 'hidden' stash from its spot under his pillow, wasting no time as he packed the bowl full, pulling his lighter from his jeans pocket and lighting up.
God, it was a good night to not have a roommate, seeing as Ziggy almost immediately started coughing, gasping for air like he'd been submerged in water.
After a few seconds of coughing, Ziggy caught his breath and resumed. Normally, he would've stopped after a few bowls, but something was different tonight; he just kept going, taking hit after hit until his weed stash ran out. Despite willingly doing so, Ziggy dared to swear under his breath as if he wasn't the one who smoked it all.
Ziggy managed to get up, staggering a little as he walked back over to his wardrobe, holding his bong like it was a beer bottle, going so far as to take a swig of the water as he used his free hand to rummage around, looking for something else to take until he managed to grab a pack of gummies he had tossed in there months ago.
Ziggy downed the rest of his bong water before haphazardly putting it back up onto the top shelf, before fumbling like an idiot with the packet until he got it open without reading any of the labels at all, the young man taking a handful and shoving them into his mouth.
Was it good to take all this weed on an empty stomach? No. Did it feel great? Oh absolutely.
He sat back down on his bedroom floor, edible packet resting on his mattress next to him, and scrolled on his phone for a little bit, still buzzed from the bong, but waiting for the edibles to kick in. Ziggy's brow furrowed as he was sent an email for the shift schedule for the next two weeks...And he didn't see his name on it at all.
Ziggy stared at his phone before throwing it across the room, inhaling sharply as he heard it hit the wall and clatter to the floor, the screen breaking upon impact.
He didn't wait a second before reaching over and grabbing the packet of edibles and eating the rest of them.
After about 30 minutes or so, Ziggy felt the edibles begin to hit, and hit they did. At first, it was normal, fun, he was just high as a kite and chilling, but as the minutes ticked by, it worsened, he felt shaky, and he was so dizzy that every time he turned his head, it felt like his vision lagged before catching up. He'd never gone too overboard with weed before, so he figured he just had to lie down for a little bit.
Ziggy unzipped his hoodie a little bit before lying back on the floor, staring up at the ceiling. He was sure he was paler than normal now.
Ziggy let out a pitiful noise before his vision started spotting before it went dark.
He didn't know what he did to piss off any of the gods that day, but whatever it was, it was enough for him to remain partially conscious for a few parts of what happened next... Most of it was a blur.
But what wasn't a blur was the sensation of bile creeping up his throat. He could feel his body jerk a little as it began to choke on his own vomit, maybe it's cause he was already passed out, or at least partially, but he felt himself writhe on the floor,
Ziggy had lost most of his awareness now, at least he wouldn't be able to remember his body convulsing on the floor, going into a seizure due to the lack of oxygen, unfortunetly the only sense of awareness he still had was his hearing, he could hear the life outside his apartment.
Cars, people, the stray cat that'd sit outside his window and meow and yowl, he could hear it pawing at his window...
Before Ziggy could hear or feel anything else, it all...Stopped.
---
Ziggy stumbled backwards and hit a wall behind him, his ears ringing and his vision blurred as he felt his knees buckle, the 19-year-old allowing himself to slide down the wall, sitting on the floor as he blinked a few times to try and clear his vision.
"Excuse me? Are you alright?"
Ziggy groaned at the sound of someone talking, but looked up anyway. Squinting as his vision cleared a little, he was still high as hell, unable to open his eyes fully. He saw someone who looked to be wearing a military uniform, "Wh-What happened?" Ziggy asked, looking up at the person.
"Hey, it's okay, you're okay, I'm Guest 1337, can you see alright?" Guest 1337 asked, carefully helping Ziggy up, pulling the 19-year-old up by the forearms, helping him over to a nearby chair, "Here, sit down...Guys! We have a newcomer!" He yelled, eyes softening a little as Ziggy winces at the yelling, "Oh, sorry."
"...It's fine." Ziggy mumbled, leaning back in the chair, looking around a little, taking in his surroundings a bit more now that his vision wasn't blurry, "Where am I?"
Guest 1337 opened his mouth to answer, but looked over as a few of the others walked in before recovering, "So, from what we know ourselves, we've been taken by an entity that puts us into rounds of a game where we have to survive as we have a killer after all of us. Now, what's your name?"
Ziggy swallowed, "Ziggy," He answered, looking around at the others, "...Hey...Uh...Any of you like anti-drugs?" He asked, the 19-year-old immediately getting his priorities straight.
Everyone shrugged, giving their own different mumbles on how they didn't really care.
However...One of them caught Ziggy's eye, the one who seemed to be hiding away from everyone else.
He looked older, but not too old, maybe around late 30s, early to mid 40s, but god, Ziggy was instantly interested.
"Hey, uh, what're your names?" Ziggy asked, eyes flickering away from the man he was staring at, he didn't even know the guy's name, yet he was borderline leering...Okay, there was no 'borderline'. Ziggy was absolutely leering.
Ziggy had to admit, he wasn't even listening to anyone's answers properly. Sure, he was listening, but his attention was not on them.
"Oh...I'm 007n7..." The man, now known to Ziggy as 007n7, answered timidly once everyone else had introduced themselves.
Ziggy nodded, staring at him for a bit longer. He was high, sure, and yeah sure, he was being a bit of a creep by staring, but he bit his tongue to avoid saying anything, yet, instead just settling on the couch, "...Cool," He mumbled, "I'm gonna sleep now," he added as an afterthought before he curled up, he didn't have his shoes on as he died, so it seemed like he was just wearing socks as protection for now. Ziggy decided to worry about footwear later, opting to rest for now, he needed it.
