Test#1 / Peace in Eternity with You

Summary:

Lesbians getting married, going home, and probably doing non-horny lesbian stuff (bc I'm not that type of writer (yet)). Probably spontaneously adopting something. Who knows? I sure don't. This work will be updated less often than Test#2, purely because I don't know how to write healthy relationships (or relationships at all).
It was supposed to be the first one released, as it is technically the first in the series, but I was more hesitant about this one as it was so much shorter, less edited, and less likely to be updated at a reasonable time.

Notes:

Before you read on.
I don't frequently read fanfics, therefore my formatting may be off from whatever's expected. This is not inherently a 'fanfic' (just creative writing tests). I'm partially seeking feedback from strangers, partially just posting for the sake of posting and using my account as intended.
I personally have been neglecting my writing for years, and this will (eventually) become a completed short story.
Because I have been neglecting my writing skills, they haven't improved very much, rather becoming worse than they used to be. And my dictionary's missing some pages. Also I only write in short bursts, so it will not be uncommon for me to mischaracterise my own characters, or to completely rewrite somebody mid-story. Or stop writing halfway through this one and only chapter.
Speaking of characters, they are deliberately unnamed just because I don't want to give them real names.
Keeping this in mind, feel free to tear me apart in the comments, it might be appreciated. Sorry for any poor grammar or spellings, I do write tired.
And I don't know how to format my writing on this website yet, plus the formatting of my own writing is... nonpermanent.
This specific work, I've got a lot to work on.

Chapter 1: In her arms

Chapter Text

The breeze is slow and gentle upon her cheeks, running through her thick, wavy hair like a comfort long forgotten. It touches her ebony skin like mother, though it feels less familial, more so like a sanctuary where she may lie for the rest of her life, and never have to worry again what the world forces upon her. Her eyes squeeze shut as she concentrates on the moment, knowing that it won't be forever, even if it isn't the last time she'll feel this way. Emotions bloom in her chest, a gentle tug over her heart as warmth and love spread through it like a friendly disease, crawling through her ventricles, the chambers of her heart, and leaking through her arteries with a precious speed. She can feel the tears well up in her eyes, though she didn't know why they dared form in this very moment. Relief bubbles up in her gut as she opens her eyes again and gazes into the safest, softest brown irises she'd ever loved.
Before her, stood the woman of her dreams, ivory skin under wraps of white, flowing fabric, the wind blowing lace and fold past her, veil fastened tight to her hair yet struggling to keep hold. Hands stretched out beyond her sleeves, rested on wet cheeks, thumb under her eye and wiping away the trickling love that both knew would never stop flowing anyway. The world is silent to the both of them, yet their ears are filled with heartbeat and choked out sobs of joy, synchronised heavy breathing as the day catches up to them. The day of an end and a beginning, new life with the only future either could imagine in this preset moment, and would ever be able to imagine ever again.
The wind picks up second by second, flowing around them like a miniature cyclone of grey petals and dust. The women don't break their gaze, leaning in, lips fractions of a second apart. Both pause, not in hesitation, but in gratitude of the other, appreciation of their futures, stood before them in the other's hands. And then they lock onto each other with vigorous passion, affection raging through them strongly enough to quite even the storm brewing around their bodies. To each other they cling, destined to never let go again. A black pant leg wraps around the pale woman's ruffles as she finds herself dipped backward, though the sudden movement does not startle her. She trusts in the muscles that hold her in place, both inside and out. Well, they do pilates AND gym together, after all.
