The sharp sound of china shattering beside him had momentarily snapped Sae out of his rage. What was once a beautifully hand-crafted vase, now lay scattered on the cold wooden floor in jagged pieces.

 

Before he had time to process, a pair of terribly scarred arms had already shoved him against the wall, pinning him to it with anything but kindness. He winced at the feeling, unable to move away from the tight grip on him.

 

Yet unfortunately for Sae, it seemed like the universe wasn’t on his side today, since silence didn't come after. Instead, a strong, pale hand had struck him.
