Fic summary: When a heartbroken Crowley gets drunk in St. James’s Park, a kind stranger intervenes before any real harm can come to him, and Crowley is smitten. He dreams of the man, waits for him in the park, and feels as if his heart will break without him. All from one brief encounter.

In the park late one night, Aziraphale hears a young man crying and it breaks his heart. The heart that he shouldn’t feel at all. He sits with the young man, walks him home, and he is smitten. He dreams of the young man, watches him from the shadows, and wishes he could make him his own. All from one brief encounter.

Ah, yes. The course of true love never did run smooth.
