White is such a boring colour

Summary:

Coco wonders, if witches were so fantastical then why do the four of Qifreys apprentices wear the exact set of white dresses? Like really? Have some originality.

OR Coco's Quest to make everyone a new dress so everyone has a nice pop of colour.

Notes:

Guys this is just a cute dress up fluff with minor Agott/Coco. (I say minor as if you could ignore it. It is most definitely there.)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

White is such a boring colour.

Coco was bored, witches were supposed to be lively yet here she is, looking exactly like everyone else. Don't get her wrong, she loves the little witch coats and the flowyness of them, but it really solidified that she was a witch, and she understood it was the standard uniform…

But their flowing dresses with a high waistline was an exact copy of each other, down to every piece of fabric. A bit boring no…?

At the very least Agott styled hers with a belt often, and Tetia was even more creative and went at hers with scissors. Sloppy, yet it had character. You could excuse it as cute as they were so young.

Her and Riche though, plain, boring white robes. That they wore. Every. Day.

The four of them. Boring white dresses. Every. Day.

This was particularly noticed by Coco when they hung out all their washing on the lines outside. It was almost comedic.

Twelve identical flowing dresses, only distinguished by Tetia's ragged cutting, and labels for the rest of them.

Coco cringed when she saw it, witches were supposed to be magical, not look like they were doing prison duties. Though perhaps it was the seamstress in her, she was so used to her and her mothers creation of dresses and washing of fabrics that this boring whiteness was criminal in comparison to her old home's long lines of royal blue, shimmery gold and silk purples and embroidered stars. Dresses with lace cuffs, puff sleeves, layers of different fabrics to create one masterpiece. A dark red satin with embroidered gold, geometric patterns, paired with a sheer layer of orange silk, and even another layer of yellow to create a gorgeous sunset like dress. Or even—

Coco found herself doodling the design without thinking, it would be stunning. It would look beautiful on Tetia, her pink hair would only ever compliment a sunset.

Oh and Riche's hair would go lovely with a navy or possibly purple, Agott would suit purple, but her sharp, purple eyes clearly called for contrast instead of complementary, so a deep green for her. Coco already knew she looked best in Yellow or dark turquoise.

Olruggio's dark hair went with anything, but he does seem to favour the colour blue, while Professor Qifrey only ever stuck to white and black with gold accents, perhaps he would look good in the cyan if their cloaks? No, no, his blue eyes wouldn't work with that, then a bluish purple? Hmm probably something lighter, a muted rustic orange might work, or even yellow, but that doesn't work for his personality. A light blue paired with brown with hints of gold could work…? Oh it could work very well, with a base layer of white to tie to look together.

Coco’s hand was itching, not for a pen but for chalk and a needle, and a manakin.

Her mind had already been made up before she had gotten to the question, would she make new clothes for herself, peers and teachers? Of course she would.

But where to get the fabric…

No… that wasn't the question. The question is where to find a Job.

Finding a job was nowhere near as difficult as she thought it would be.

Coco had merely walked into the town close to the Atelier without her witch cloak and hat, and entered the nearest seamstress shop and asked for a job.

Dollys Dresses was a shop of miracles, how they had nearly everything Coco needed was amazing. Jaw dropping fabrics and patterns were at her fingertips. What was even more jaw dropping was the prices. A hundred and fifty gold for five metres of shimmery blue fabric embroidered with stars!?

Coco nearly passed out when she saw the price.

That was far more than the Ateliers weekly allowance of five gold a week, and it was only for one fabric!? By Coco's estimations she needed thirteen different fabrics to create these clothes.

Luckily, when browsing the other fabrics she could use, the average price was around seventy gold, starry night fabric was just too expensive.

Coco mustered up the courage to approach the lady at the desk, she barely reached eye level with the counter.

“Excuse me…” Coco blushed, asking for a job was actually quite embarrassing.

“Oh hello there dear, could barely see ya.” The lady's voice was kind.

Coco's eyes were drawn in by her long lilac dress and yellow knit cardigan. Her hair was a curly ginger and had gold cuffs and gems intertwined into a stylish updo.

“Names Mrs Dolly, what can I do for a cutesy wee pet like you?” the lady smiled, she was eating a tasty looking sandwich.

Cutsy wee pet!? Coco flushed furiously, "I'm not that cute!”

Mrs Dolly laughed, “Sure you are to me, anything I can help with?”

Coco floundered, “yes actually, I was wondering if I could work here? I need money so I can buy fabric to make my friends dresses…” the longer Coco talked the more embarrassing this was.

Mrs Dolly's brown eyes widened in surprise, as she put a hand on her waist, half leaning against the counter. She took a sip of her tea before replying. “The wee lass is a dressmaker is she?”

Coco fumbled with her hands, “Not really? Yes- but… um… my mother was a seamstress up north and I used to make dresses with her all the time.”

Mrs Dolly's eyes stared through her soul before she spoke again, “You wouldn't happen to be little Coco? Carla’s daughter? From Naakiwan Downs?”

Coco's heart nearly stopped, “yes I am, did you know her?” Coco smiled at Mrs Dolly.

“Of course I know her!” Mrs Dolly smiles warmly, “We both interned under the same Tailor to learn our skills, Carla was of course the best one there, and I’ve no doubt her daughter would be any different.”

Mrs Dolly's hand came down on Coco’s hair and she fixed it behind her ears, “My, the resemblance is there all right, exact same shape of the eyes and nose.”

Coco smiled up at her, it was nice to see someone who was a friend of her mothers. “So I can get the job…” she said hopefully, eyes lighting up.

“If you pass a test for me.” Mrs Dolly smirked, no longer leaning against the counter.

“Yes!” Coco fired up, she could pass this and then let her creative freedom roam wild.

“Ok,” Mrs Dolly smirked, “if you can help at least fifteen people choose what they want, cut and sell the fabric before 8pm tonight, you'll have yourself a job.”

By 8pm tonight, it was already 2pm! She could so do this! “Ok! When do I start!” Coco excitedly jumped.

Mrs Dolly walked over to the door, “about now, as my lunch break is over.” She said dryly, smirking over at Coco when she turned the previously closed sign, to say opened.

Coco fell to her knees in embarrassment.

“Youre looking for a red for a cape? Might I suggest a thick cotton with gold trim?”

“Hmm, for a sundress you should pick a lighter fabric, and a lighter colour as well, I could suggest this blue checkered linen blend?”

“Yes, that orange does pair beautifully with this ivory.”

“Wedding veils? Yes we have a variety of white and off-white sheer silk.”

“If the accessories are flashy, why not go with a simple cream gown?”

“Might i suggest you don't put that red and neon green together! Here I’ll help you choose something else.”

“When in doubt, always choose a muted tone of your favourite colour.”

“Imagine, if you were to pair a modern cut with this cool magenta, you’d be the flashiest at the party!"

“Diamonds and white go very well together, could I show you this tweed fabric we have?”

Twenty-six.

She helped twenty-six people.

She grinned smugly up at Dolly (she was no longer Mrs Dolly after the fifteenth person she helped).

Dolly stared down at her proudly, “You truly are your mothers daughter, Carla could sell like there's no tomorrow. And anyways, congratulations, you've got a job, you're probably the youngest shopworker I've ever met aside from family businesses.”

“I am very proud.” Coco closed her eyes and smiled, puffing up her chest.

Dolly pulled out the receipts of everything Coco had sold, “right, so you worked six hours…” she mumbled.

Coco looked over the paper Dolly had, what was she doing? Why was there so much math!?

Before Coco could even blink, Dolly was facing her and showing her her math sheet.

“You worked six hours, minimum wage for minors is 6 gold, 7 silver. So your wages for today would be 40 gold 2 silver. Pair that with your twenty-six sellings, which totaled to 2178 golds worth of fabric, 3 percent of that is an additional 65 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze.”

Coco couldn't keep up, but it seemed right…?

“Making your total of today's earnings being 105 gold, five silver and 4 bronze!” Dolly showed her the final total.

Coco stared aghast, it was more money she had ever made in her life. She sold so much fabric, and she got a percentage of the sellings!?

Was this normal?

“Easy Coco, lass you've got nothing to be worried for. You earned it fair and square.” Dolly ruffled her hair while she floundered at the amount of money she had made.

Coco nearly teared up and she stood back from Dolly, Dolly gave her a questioning glance before it turned to shock as Coco hugged her. “You are such a lovely person Dolly!”

Dolly laughed, hugging her back gently. “Dear wee Coco, take your purse and run along back home, I'm sure your guardian is waiting for you.”

Coco told Dolly as to where Coco had been the last few months, that she had been taken in by a nice man and had gained three new sisters. Dolly had been delighted that she loved them all.

“Bye bye Dolly!” Coco shouted as she ran out the door with her now jungling purse, looking behind her as she gave a grinning smile.

The figure of Dolly grew smaller as she ran to the edge of the village, ensuring no one saw her before she flew into the air with her sylph shoes.

Step one: job -Aquired

Step two: interviewing for designs

1.Tetia

“Would you say you love the colour of the skies Tetia?” Coco brought up as they were doing the dishes together. The window overlooked the dusking sunset, creating the perfect golden hour for the both of them.

“Right now? I think the sky looks amazing!” Tetia chirped, “like a mango and strawberry milkshake! But more vibrant!”

“So you definitely like these colours?” Coco tilted her head as she was drying another plate.

Tetia grinned, “I love all the colours!” Tetia splashed the water a bit before looking at Coco, “but yes, this combination is very heavenly looking!”

“I think it's perfect too.” Coco whispered, standing a little backwards to observe how Tetia looked with the sky behind her.

She was indeed radiant, the orangey gold glows shining through her hair as though stings of light were dancing around her head.

Coco’s seamstress instincts were spot on

2. Riche

Agott, Coco and Riche were doing some silent reading by the fire that night.

This would be a perfect time, Coco thought, looking outside. There were no clouds in the sky and the moon was bright and full.

“Hey Riche, do you want to go stargazing with me?” Coco asked the girl. She was dozing off in front of the fireplace with her book.

Riche barely let it known that she had heard Coco, but Coco knew she did.

“I’m unparticular.” Riche yawned.

Coco knew if she pressed on for an answer she would get nowhere, Riche was the definition of nonchalant in these circumstances.

“Will you humor me and go outside with me anyway?” Coco begged, getting off her seat and holding a hand out to Riche to make the decision easier.

“I suppose I can. This heat is making me too sleepy anyway.” Riche closed her book.

Agott watched them leave with suspicion. She then turned to her book without much fuss.

Maybe she was feeling left out? Coco dismissed it, Agott was higher than fickle feeling like that.

The two girls passed Qifrey and Olruggio in the kitchen before heading out into the Garden, a quick “Bye Qifrey and Olly, were going stargazing!” And they were gone from the cottage.

The two girls stand in the field looking up at the stars.

As Coco suspected, it was a perfect night for the stars. She glanced at Riche who was staring up with not boredom, but interest.

“They are lovely…” Riche whispered, tugging onto a strand of her hair. Coco had the feeling Riche didn’t spend much time thinking of how lovely the stars were.

She set out her cloak onto the grass, it was dry but an extra layer of protection didn't hurt.

She was glad Riche wasn't wearing her hat or cloak, sitting on the ground gave her the perfect view of Riche looking into the sky, her hair twirling around the gentle breeze.

Riche was as much the moon as Tetia was the sun.

Perfect parallels,

Coco solidified her choice. Starry and dawn themes for Riche and Tetia. Who is next?

Coco didn’t want to disturb either Qifrey or Olruggio, she didn’t think she needed too, they were perfect models that could go with many different colour schemes, she was quite confident in her choices for them.

She was on her way through the market for another day's work at Dolly’s Dresses.

“My, Coco, I thought you said this was your sketchbook? The ones with your friends' dress designs?” Dolly flicked through it confused.

“But it is?” Coco quickly came over only to be struck with horror. Dolly was flicking through pages and pages of incomplete circles.

Perfect circles.

There was only one person this book could belong to.

“Oh my god I took her book!” Coco snatched the decidedly not-sketchbook out of Dolly's hands.

“Give me twenty minutes! I'll be back with the right one!”

Dolly shook her head in amusement. As Coco sprinted out the door, through the village and flew through the air as fast as she could.

The Book was Agotts.

Coco grabbed her steaming cheeks, that means Agott has her sketchbook.

Lord save me, Coco wanted to claw out her brain just so she won't remember this.

Coco found Agott under a tree.

Coco ran up the hill, panting as she nearly threw Agott's book back at her.

Coco huffed, grabbing her knees, the fear when she couldn't find Agott anywhere. And she couldn’t find her sketchbook anywhere. This wasn’t good for her heart.

Coco looked up at Agott.

Agott was calmly observing the pages of Coco’s Sketchbook. Agott's own spell book, half open beside her.

“These are beautiful.” Agott whispered. “You truly have a talent for art.”

Coco walked over and slid down the trunk of the tree to sit next to her.

The embarrassment had majorly faded when she realised that everyone wasn't hovering over her book and laughing at it. They wouldn't. But the thought was there.

Agott flicked the page away from Tetia’s and Riche’s designs (designs that really just looked like elaborate artworks of her friends in pretty dresses) onto Qifrey and Olruggio’s portraits.

Qifrey’s light blue tunic style robe paired with white wide legged trousers with a blue and gold hem.

The hems of most of the outfit were blue and gold. With brown taking up the belt and finer designs.

The sleeves were short, Qifrey preferred short or tight sleeves, and she had added some decorative cuffs to tie the look together.

She made it with the intent to match his white Witch cloak.

Agott was reading through her notes beside it. Her hand fiddling with the different fabric swatches she had lying in the book.

Coco leaned more intently over her shoulder, enough to see Agott's face.

Hurriedly flushing and pulling back when she did.

Coco put a hand over her mouth, Agott had been looking at her designs with nothing short of reverence. What an honour!

She had switched to observing a design for Olruggio without her even noticing. This design held the most similarities to his usual outfits. In the form of embellishments and trim. It really made Coco realise that Olruggio was by far the most stylish of the group.

Coco more or less had just expanded the colour palette a little, Olruggio often went for royal blues and gold embellishments. Coco added more of a golden yellow fabric, with greens and mixed trim of blue and purple.

Can you tell Coco liked colour yet?

Agott went to flip the page again when Coco snatched the book out of her hand. “Um! That's everything so far!”

Agott looked sad when the art was taken away from her, before turning a suspicious look on Coco.

“There is more, I know there is!” Agott pressed. Reaching over to Coco and where she had her book pressed against her chest.

Coco pushed her hand back, red-faced and shaking her head. “How could you possibly know that! There is nothing!”

Coco's insistance of nothing being there only fueled Agott's want of getting the sketchbook.

“Yes there is!” Agott leaped at her, attempting to grab the book from her. “That last page of Olruggio has pencil indents from the page behind it! There is definitely something there!”

Coco was pushed to the ground holding her book far above her head, Agott leaned over and snatched it from her.

Agott quickly got up and grabbed Coco’s leg, yanking it hard.

“What are you doing Agott! Give it back!” Coco yelled. She scrambled to a sitting position, the redness in her face was hotter than the magma in the earth. Kill her now.

It was quickly evident what Agott was doing after she snatched one of Coco’s Sylph shoes, used her own to fly and disappear to the top of the tree with both Coco’s shoe and her book.

Coco cried out in mortification.

“Whats got you two in a tizzy?” were the first words said to Coco and Agott during dinner time.

Qifrey paused in his eating to get an answer from them.

Coco and Agott stared at each other from opposite ends of the table. Both with furious flushes and glares gestured towards the other.

Both of them were silent.

This brought on the attention of Orluggio, Tetia and Riche.

Coco stared at Agott.

Agott stared at Coco.

Finally, Agott sighed and looked away, “I'm sorry for taking your book.”

“Please don't do it again.” Coco nodded looking away, before looking up shyly, “so what colour…?”

“Green! Definitely!” Agott said sternly, ignoring the blush on her cheeks. “Now forget this all happened!" She shot a glare around the table.

Knives and forks immediately started clattering.

Later that night, Coco added the final touches of the deep green dress, adding purple and gold trim to compliment how her eyes sparkled.

It was a hard night of falling asleep, knowing that Agott knew she had been drawn more times than the others. There was even a sketch of Agott from the shoulders up, highlighting her eyes. God! Kill her now!

Job: secured

Fabric: half bought

Designs: completed

Onto the cutting and measuring!

“Coco lass, you should take a break, you haven't had one today and you've been working here for four hours!” Dolly cried out.

Coco shook her head, “No I need to buy all the fabric for the first dress before I start it! And I need money to do that!”

Dolly came up to the jittering Coco, placing a steady hand on her shoulder. “Sure what fabric do you need?”

“The starry one.” Coco pointed in the direction of it. This was a crucial fabric for Riche, and it was running low and Coco didn’t know when Dolly would get it in again.

Dolly walked over to the roll, counting out how many rings were still wrapped around the tube.

“Lassy, sure there's only a wee lock left?” Dolly glanced back at Coco before a gentle smile took over. She grabbed the fabric roll and held it out to Coco.

“Just take the rest of it, I'd estimate there's about six and a half metres left.” Dolly laughed.

Coco blubbered frantically, “I couldn’t possibly!”

Dolly shoved the fabric towards her, “Take it now and you can pay it back later! I trust you Coco.”

Coco clutched onto the fabric that was shoved at her. Her heart swelling up in her chest, “Thanks so much Dolly!”

“Theres nothing for it Coco, you need a place to make it don't you? You can make it here as well while your working. Lord knows a lot can be done in a dry spell if customers.” Dolly laughed to herself, heading towards to register as a couple approached.

Coco’s eyes glistened, “Thank you Dolly!”

Dolly sent a smile back.

Qifrey set his teacup down, it was teatime. And Olruggio, Tetia, Riche and Agott had decided to take tea with him.

“Where is Coco?” Qifrey questioned. Now that they were all together, he realised he has been seeing Agott more than Coco over the past few days.

Tetia shrugged, “She might be in her room practicing spells.”

“Or stargazing.” Riche finished, looking up at the wooden beams of the cottage.

Agott deadpanned at Riche, “The sun is still seven hours from setting.”

“Yet the stars are still there.” Riche continued to herself.

Qifrey smiled good naturedly, turning to Olruggio, “Have you seen Coco anywhere?”

Olruggio shrugged as well, “I haven't seen her for four days at least.”

Qifrey narrowed his eyes.

The Qiflings took this as a sign to say when the last time they saw Coco was.

“I saw her the night before last.” Riche volunteered.

“Yesterday morning, she ran to the town for something.” Tetia announced.

“Yesterday morning before she left our room.” Agott added.

Qifrey sighed, “Did she say what she was doing in town?” He removed his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“No, but she’s probably at her job.” Riche answered.

Qifrey looked nothing but baffled, “Coco has a job?”

Turns out. This was news to everyone else at the table.

“Yes?” Riche continued dipping her biscuit into her tea. “A Job at the Dressmakers. She's had it for quite a while.”

Qifrey leaned back and groaned into his hands, mumbling something along the lines of ‘I’m such a bad teacher.’ before straightening. “How long has Coco had a job?”

“About two months.”

“Two months!?”

“It's where she goes every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.”

“Right!” Qifrey announced while standing up. “Im heading to Dolly’s to retrieve Coco.”

Qifrey left the table, his tea long forgotten. Everyone was neglecting their tea. Everyone except Riche anyway.

Before you could blink, Qifrey had thrown on his cloak and slipped on his sylph shoes.

And just as he was opening the door, he nearly ran into Coco herself.

“What on earth!” Qifrey nearly tumbled over the little witch.

“Ah! Sorry Professor Qifrey! I didn’t see you!” Coco stuttered out.

“Didn’t see me!? Of course you didn’t see me! I haven't seen you here for ages! And we're only now learning that you got yourself a job!?” Qifrey let out a sigh of relief, “I was about to hunt for you myself before you showed up! Don't let us worry like that again!” Qifrey scolded lightly.

“But I told Riche where I was going, I told her I have a job too.” Coco looked over to the other witches.

“Anything you say to Riche will be kept secret. Even if you want her to spread the word.” Olruggio sighed.

“Regardless,” Qifrey sighed, standing up, “tell either me or Olruggio, or at the very least Agott.”

“I’m pretty sure Agott knows what I was doing though…” Coco mumbled.

“Dont pin this on me!” Agott huffed and outraged. “I didn’t have the faintest clue as to what you were doing!”

Coco laughed awkwardly, stepping backwards from the doorframe, “Well, since everyone's here, do you want to see the gifts I made you?”

That made every witch perk up, Coco inwardly rolled her eyes, they all were like cats with a new toy.

They all sat down in the sitting room, each awaiting their presents.

Tetia shuffled in excitement, eyeing the box in Coco’s arms. “Why did you get us all big gifts, Coco? There's no festival or even any of our birthdays?”

“Riche’s birthday is quite close.” Riche announced in her quiet voice.

“Riche,” Qifrey sighed, “your birthday isn’t for another eleven months.”

Coco set down a present before each of them, keeping one for herself. She snapped Tetia’s hand away from her box “No peeking!”

“Right.” Coco said. “I made these all for you, with the materials I bought with the money from my job." She paused, glancing around at everyone. "...I don't know what else to say, just that White is a very boring colour.”

Coco sat back down and gestured for them to open their boxes.

There was the brief clunk of cardboard boxs before the rustling of fabric.

And after various gasps of awe came from Riche and Qifrey, Tetia was much more vocal in her admiration.

“Coco, you made us dresses!” Tetia squealed, spinning while holding her sunset dress to her, "I'm trying this on right now!” and she ran from the room.

Coco felt giddy, proud of herself that Tetia loved her dress.

“I love stars!” Riche smiled before she too ran out of the room.

“God Coco, you didn't make all this yourself, did you?” Olruggio ran his hand down velvety gold fabric. It was the underside of the cape that shimmered whenever it caught the light but unnoticeable until then. It was a quiet sort of luxury he could appreciate.

“I did,” Coco blushed, “We all only ever wear the same plain white dresses and you need to expand your wardrobes."

Qifrey smiled while holding up his new clothes, "you've matched our personalities to colours and cuts quite wonderfully.” he observed the hem with admiration, soft brown leather with a diamond shaped gold embroidery.

“These no doubt took weeks, it's no wonder you’ve been gone so long.” Qifrey was enamoured, he knew she was a fine seamstress from how confident she was with fabric from their first meeting, but this had exceeded all expectations.

“I love it.” Agott mumbled as she touched the soft green velvet to her face. The cut was regal with a modern shape to it. It wasn’t too fancy but just about.

Green velvet with layers of other fabrics over it, a sheer purple that folded up behind the waist, with more lilac threading on the dark purple trim. It was one of the most beautiful things Agott had ever held.

“You like it!” Coco shyly asked her again, she was looking up at Agott from beneath her bangs, a slow flush making its way onto her face.

Agott knew this wasn't a moment to be dry or sarcastic or any other of those hard emotions she was. It was time for her to be as soft as the dress she felt beneath her fingers.

“Coco, it's one of the most lovely things I’ve ever laid eyes on.” Agott smiled sincerely, “thank you for making them for us.”

Coco couldn’t handle that much praise from Agott. The stern Agott that never showed much emotion. Coco jumped on her for a hug, "I'm so happy you love it.”

They were interrupted by the rush of footsteps of Tetia and Riche.

Riche stood onto the table, her many blue skirts flowing beneath her, “I am princess Riche. Princess of the Stars. You may bow before me now.”

Qifrey laughed and bowed graciously with Tegia, who was dressed in her ruffled fabrics that mimicked the sunset.

“You may bow back to me, Princess Riche. For I am not only a Princess! I am a Goddess Princess!” Tetia laughed and pointed at Riche.

“Riche is as free as the stars! And she will never bow to anyone.” Riche ran around the room with Tetia chasing her. Tail ends of yellow and blue, pink and purple chasing each other around the room.

“Careful girls,” Olruggio pointed out, “you might rip the dresses Coco made for you.”

Coco laughed lightly, “I'm sure I could fix it if anything went wrong, but do be careful.”

Agott glared at Riche and Tetia, “you don't want to destroy the gracious gifts Coco made, do you?”

Riche and Tetia promptly sat down. They loved their new dresses too luck to be able to bear the sight of them destroyed.

Coco’s face hurt from smiling, two months if work had been so worth it. Worth every stabbing needle and burned skin.

“You made the yellow dress for yourself didn’t you?” Agott stared at the last unopened box. “Can I see it?”

Coco nodded and pulled the dress from the box, it was similarly fancy like the rest of them, flowing layers and blue and purple trim to make the colours pop. The underside of some of the folded fabric was a light green, just like her hair.

Agott knew just from Coco holding it that Yellow was her colour. Coco must have known this too. She knew the best colour for everyone here Agott was realising.

Agott never knew how much she loved the colour green before.

“There are more dresses!” Tetia screamed in excitement, jumping up and down as she emptied her box.

“What?” Riche immediately looked into her own box.

“Theres nothing much, it's just some more simpler clothes that you could actually use for daily wear. Only some parts of the dress and the trim are made out of the main fabrics.” Coco explained.

Tetia was already holding a simple light pink dress with starry blue trim. The same fabric that made the majority of Riche's dress.

Riche hugged her other dresses, a white that faded into purple with a velvety green trim that matched Agott's dress perfectly.

“Your kindness knows no bounds.” Qifrey ruffled Coco’s hair, "you've given us your own type of magic today. The magic of pretty clothes!” Qifrey clapped his hands.

“Riche loves Coco’s magic.” Riche nodded.

“Oohhh can we wear them to the Silver Eve festival!” Tetia asked excitedly.

Agott, Coco and Riche looked to Qifrey longingly. Each with an imploring look greater than the last.

“Of course you can, it would be a shame if no one else got to see these outfits.” Qifrey agreed, he looked at Olruggio, who nodded complacently. He was still running his hands through the soft yellow underside of his new cloak.

Everyone looks far better in vibrant colours than in White.

White was such a boring colour.

Notes:

Yes most definitely i names Coco's mum Carla. After Carla Jeager.

The similarities of the first episodes of Aot and Wha were screaming at me the whole time i watched Wha.
