Summary:

What if Victor escorted Grace to the Ark instead of Zeno.

Notes:

Had this idea kicking around in my head for awhile and just needed to finally write it out.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Grace gazed out at the ruins of Raccoon City, she always had a fascination with the decaying metropolis, it was one of her favorite topics on conspiracy websites besides the incident that happened in Dulvey. She would have geeked out about actually being here in the past, but now she just felt numb. Emily was dead and she couldn’t save her, just like she couldn’t save her mother. Victor stood behind her, watching her take in her surroundings. Like a valkyrie on a battlefield. This was to be her kingdom as the Spencer heir and it was nothing but rubble. His heart broke for his Mistress. He could see she was suffering from the loss of Emily. He would kill Leon Kennedy for causing his Grace such distress.

Victor approached Grace placing a comforting hand on her shoulder, “All will be well soon, Grace.”

“I-I couldn’t save her.” She choked out trying not to sob.

Victor nodded, “You are not to blame, you did all that you could.”

Zeno approached, he was getting annoyed at the melodrama of it all.

“Enough of the histrionics.” Zeno lit a cigarette and took a hit, ignoring Victor’s sneer, “We have priorities. Go take care of Mr. Kennedy and I will escort Ms. Ashcroft to the Ark.”

Grace tensed up, she didn’t know this man and with how vulnerable she was feeling she didn’t want to be around him. Before Victor pulled away Grace reached out and grabbed his lab coat, causing him to stop and look at her.

“C-Can’t Victor take me?”

Victor was ecstatic, his Mistress preferred him over Zeno. He hadn’t felt this much eminence joy in quite some time. Not since the first moment he had found her. Turning back to Zeno, Victor smirked.

“My Mistress has spoken. You deal with the interloper, I have more experience than you in a lab anyway.”

Zeno glared, he was suppose to be in charge. He knew he couldn’t take Victor though. Especially when going against his obsession with the girl. He relented and left the pair to go find Kennedy.

“T-Thank you.” Grace felt a little more at ease now.

Victor smiled down at her, his gold plated teeth shimmering in the sunlight, “Of course, anything for you, Grace.” He held out his hand, “Now shall we?”

Grace nodded and took his hand, Victor held it gently and lead her away. They had been walking for a bit in silence. Grace’s thoughts were all over the place. Shooting between grief to confusion. Why did she feel safe with Victor? After everything that happened at Rhodes Hill, why did she find comforted in his presence?

As Victor assisted Grace over a larger section of rubble, she winced as pain shot through her shoulder. She whimpered and held it, but a larger hand gently moved it out of the way. When she looked up she saw Victor examining it, a look of concern on his face. She could tell despite the visor. He was surprisingly expressive even with it on. She wondered what his eyes looked like. She recalled that moment in Rhodes Hill when he asked her if she wanted to see what was under the hood, she kinda wish she said ‘yes’ now.

“It seems the pain killers I gave you are wearing off.” He grimaced, “Regrettably I won’t be able to help you until we reach the Arc. Most of the city has been picked clean I’m sure.”

Grace nodded, “I-I think I’m okay, I’ll try not to move it much.”

Victor shook his head, “That will be nearly impossible without a sling in this environment. Here.” Without warning Victor picked Grace up like a bride causing her to eep, the sound made Victor chuckle, “This way you can focus on stabilizing your arm.”

Grace nodded a light blush tinting her cheeks. Victor began carrying her the rest of the way through the city. The girl in his arms was finding it very difficult to stay focused on their current situation. Their close proximity should really bother her, but he was surprisingly gentle with her. Like she was a porcelain doll that could break at any moment. Then there was his scent. A mixture of sandalwood and mint. It was comforting. She didn’t even realize she had snuggled ever so slightly more into his chest. Victor did however. The movement made him all the more elated. She was drawn to him, even if she didn’t realize it quite yet. She would. They were fated to be together after all. When her breathing slowed, he glanced down and had found she had finally surrendered to exhaustion. His Mistress had gone through quite a lot in the past 24 hours. She deserved to rest. He couldn’t help but smile though, this meant she trusted him enough to let her guard down.

“Grace, we’re here.”

Victor’s voice gently woke Grace up, she felt a little groggy. She knew she couldn’t of been asleep for that long. Large hands helped her sit up and she took the room in. It was a sterile looking lab and she was on one of the examination tables. Victor was standing next to her, his hands still holding her steady as she woke up more.

“I-Is this the Ark?” She asked.

“Yes, part of it anyway, it’s one of it’s labs that’s fortunately still usable.” He grimaced then went to one of the cabinets, “Some fool seems to have set the lickers free.”

“L-Lickers?” Grace didn’t like the sound of that.

“One of Umbrella’s experiments. You needn’t worry though, Grace. I won’t allow anything to harm you.”

Grace gave him a skeptical look, “What about at Rhodes Hill?”

Victor chuckled, pleased to see her spunk was coming back some, “In my defense, my dear, I had you in a secured wing with the lights on. My plan was to take you with me once the preparations were complete. I hadn’t anticipated you leaving that room.” He grabbed a few supplies then made his way back to her, “Then Mr. Kennedy showed up and I had to deal with him. If he hadn’t I could have easily caught up to you and relocated you to a safer environment. Though I must admit seeing you dispatch those infected on the CCTVs was quite a marvel.”

Victor sat the supplies down next to Grace. There were a few injectors, fresh gauze, and a needle with surgical thread. The last items made her nervous.

“I’m going to have to move your shirt out of the way.” He warned her before reaching for it.

Grace felt her cheeks get hot, “W-What? B-But-”

Victor chuckled, “You have nothing to be shy about, I was the one who patched you up before after all.”

Grace felt even more embarrassed about the situation, she never even thought about who patched her up. Of course it was Victor. She was so lost in her panicked thoughts that she didn’t realize Victor had already lifted her shirt up and had taken it off, putting her blue bra covered chest on display. When she did realize her face felt like it was on fire and she felt a new wave of nervousness.

“You needn’t feel nervous, Grace. I wouldn’t do something untoward to you… Unless you wished for me to that is.” He gave her a lecherous grin.

Grace shook her head to stunned to speak. She wasn’t used to being flirted with, let alone by a man who could probably snap her in two. Victor chuckled and began unwrapping her arm, the state of the said wound made him frown.

“Just as I thought. You’ve popped a few stitches.” He sighed, “You really should have just waited in that room, or the reception area with Emily.”

Grace flinched at the mention of Emily, and Victor immediately regretted bringing the child up. Grace’s eyes had once again become sad. He carefully began working, first injecting her with something to numb the area before getting to work to fix her stitches.

“I-If I had,” Grace began, but then looked like she was scared to say it, “I-If I had stayed in that room, would you had also gotten Emily out?”

Victor didn’t want to answer, he knew it would cause her pain, but he couldn’t lie to her either.

“Yes, I had planned to take Emily with us as well.”

Grace broke down into sobs. It was all her fault, if she had just stayed put Emily would have been alive. Victor would have known how to treat her, he’s obviously a doctor. She had caused another death. It was her fault that her mom died too, if she hadn’t of hesitated that day, the killer wouldn’t have caught up to them.

She was startled out of her spiral by Victor moving closer to hold her. His large hand gently petting the back of her hair.

“It wasn’t your fault, Grace. You were not responsible. Sometimes there’s just to many variables for a plan to succeed. No one can account for every possibility.”

It had been awhile since anyone had comforted her. She didn’t realize just how touched starved she was. Grace couldn’t help but cling to Victor’s snake skin coat. The texture was comforting. When his hand moved to her back to rub there his cool skin also felt nice against her own. His hands were surprisingly soft. For the briefest moments, she thought about what they would feel like in other places, but she tried to shake that thought away. Victor however could smell her slight arousal. Gently pulling away he gazed down at her lost and confused face. She looked so vulnerable and fragile. He brushed the back of his knuckles gently across her cheek, the cool steel of his rings making her shiver.

“Allow me to comfort you, Grace.” He gently requested, “I can help it all disappear.”

Grace was unsure, but his voice, scent, and touch were overwhelming her senses. She wanted comfort. She wanted the pain to all go away. She wanted her mind to just shut off for awhile. So she softly nodded making Victor smile. He began slowly. His hands gliding down her body to her waist. Caressing the flesh there before one moved up to gently caress her breast on her uninjured side. Even with the fabric of her bra shielding it, when Victor’s thumb graze over her nipple she let out a small gasp making him smile more.

“I can feel your heart racing, little rabbit, just relax and let the Doctor make you feel better.” He teased and leaned down kissing her forehead. His cool lips helped calm her.

When Grace nodded again, Victor’s hand moved behind her where he undid her bra. He moved it away and tossed it onto the floor behind him, he then pulled back to take in the sight of Grace’s bare chest before him.

“You’re beautiful, Grace.” His voice was nothing but sincere, like he was in awe of her.

Grace blushed, she had never been in a situation like this before. Between moving so much when she was younger, school, and the FBI she never had time to date anyone. Victor laid her back on the examination table, making sure she was comfortable before continuing. With one hand he caressed Grace’s cheek while the other trailed down her body to her pants, as his fingers teased the hem of them he felt her tremble slightly.

“No one’s ever touch you here, have they, little rabbit?” He licked his lips.

Grace shook her head, “N-No.”

“That’s alright, I’ll be gentle.” He leaned down and kissed her head once again while his hand undid her pants.

Grace watched as he pulled her pants down slowly until they were off. His hand then slid up the inside of her leg slowly, causing goosebumps to appear in their wake, until it reached her matching blue underwear. He felt the dampness between her legs and smiled.

“Already so wet for me, little rabbit.” He rubbed the damp spot, feeling her folds through the fabric. Grace mewled and gasped at the sensation, “I’m so elated that I can cause such a reaction from you.”

Victor moved until he felt her small bundle of nerves through the fabric and rubbed it slowly in a circle, dragging out a moan from Grace’s lips. The doctor groaned in response, the sound making his leather pants feel tighter. He had to calm himself so he wouldn’t rush this.

When he stopped touching her clit, Grace whimpered and Victor hooked a finger in the elastic of her panties and pulled them down. She was now completely bare before him. Before Grace could react, Victor kissed her for the first time, snaking his forked tongue between her lips. He tasted like mint and a hint of smoke. Zeno wasn’t the only one with a bad habit it seemed. Grace moaned at the taste and kissed him back, her mind overwhelmed. She moaned again into his mouth when his hand went back to her core. His large middle finger slid between her folds, coating it in her fluids before sliding into her. Victor groaned at her tightness, and pulled away to look down at Grace’s flushed face.

“Saved yourself for me, my little rabbit. Such a good girl.” He smirked and began to gently pump his finger into her, “You were always meant to be mine.”

It felt uncomfortable at first, but the discomfort quickly melted away. Victor’s large finger felt wonderful inside of her. Like he knew just where to touch her. Then when he pushed in a second and began gently stretching she started to lose her mind to the new feelings. It all felt so good, but Victor was going so slow. Was he trying to torture her?

“P-please.” She tried, but whimpered in both need and shyness.

“Please what, little rabbit?” He smirked down at her, “You can request anything from me, your wish is my command.” He angled his fingers to rub up against the special spot inside her that he knew would goad her on.

Grace keened and moved against his fingers, “Please, fuck me, Victor!”

Victor grinned victoriously. At last, he had dreamed about this for so long. He pulled his fingers out with a sound of protest from Grace. With his clean hand he turned Grace’s head to look up at him. Forcing her to watch as he cleaned his fingers with his forked tongue. He saw her eyes watch him curiously as they darkened with need.

Victor then let Grace go and moved to the front of the table, before Grace could say anything Victor grabbed her ankles and pulled her closer to him so her lower half as almost off the table. He then got to work on his belt.

“My sweet, Grace,” He practically purred sending a pleasurable shiver up her spine, “How I’ve waited for this for so long.”

When he went for his zipper Grace suddenly spoke up, “W-Wait!” She sat up and looked up at Victor’s confused face, “I-I… I want to see what’s under the hood.” She blushed and as soon as she said it she felt like an awkward idiot, “I-I mean I-I want to see your face fully.”

Victor stared down at her for a moment, before he gave her a soft smile, “You really are like an adorable little rabbit aren’t you?”

Grace covered her face feeling humiliated, “S-Shut up.”

Victor chuckled and gently pried her hands away before pinning her back down onto the table. With one hand he pinned her on the table, her doe eyes staring up at him as he used his other hand to take his visor off. Grace had tried to picture what he looked like under there, her imagination didn’t do him justice. He wasn’t handsome by normal standards, but he was hauntingly handsome, like a love interest in a dark romance. She couldn’t stop looking into his yellow eyes. They looked at her intensely, but there was a softness in them too.

Victor smiled and caressed her cheek as he continued to pin her down, “Like what you see?”

Grace looked away shyly before nodding, Victor of course couldn’t have that. He gently but firmly gripped Grace’s face to look back at him, he then kissed her once again. She melted into it, becoming putty in his hands. When she was breathless he pulled away and shoved off his coat before going back to his zipper. As he pulled himself out Grace felt her body tense slightly, he was large way above average. How was he going to fit inside her? Victor noticed the shift in her expression and gently shushed her trying to sooth her worries.

“Just relax, we were made for each other, Grace.” He reassured, “Just breath.”

Grace nodded and tried her best to breath to calm herself. Victor moved closer guiding his head to her entrance, he rubbed himself against it before slowly pushing himself in. Grace whimpered at the ache as he stretched her. It was so much. When he was half way, he lifted her legs to rest on top of his arms as he held her thighs. He massaged them as he pushed further into her as far as he could go. He gave her a moment to adjust, allowing her walls to grow accustomed to his size. He wanted her to enjoy their first of hopefully many times together.

“How do you feel, Grace?” He gently asked, his voice strained from lust and restraint. How he wanted to pound her into this table.

“So full, Victor.” She moaned.

“Are you alright with me moving?” He rubbed her thighs.

As soon as Grace nodded he gave her a testing thrust. When she let out a gasp of pleasure he grinned and began slowly pumping into her, building up the pace.

“Fuck,” Grace groaned, “M-More, Victor, please!”

Victor smirked, his Mistress wanted it rougher? He would happily oblige. Holding her thighs more firmly he used them to making her meet his thrusts harder. The action caused her body to arch at the intense pleasure of it all. Her mind could think of nothing but how amazing her body felt at this moment.

“That’s it, Grace. Focus only on me and the pleasure I’m giving you.” He praised continuing to pound into her, “Come for me.”

As if her body obeyed his command she cried out and met her release. Victor slowed his pumping before pulling out, he was still hard and far from done with Grace. As she panted he gently picked her up and brought her to a wall, he kissed her before holding her legs again as he pushed into her. Grace groaned against his lips and he began to fuck her against the wall. Victor pulled away to watch her face contorted in ecstasy as he plowed into her.

“You’re mine, Grace.” He growled, a little bit of his nemesis side coming out, “Say it.”

Grace groaned her hands gripping his shoulders, “Yes, Victor! Yours!”

That’s all Victor needed, he was close, but he wanted to come with Grace. So he waited, but didn’t need to wait long, as soon as she cried out her release once again, Victor paused deep inside of her, pumping her full of his seed. They just stayed there. Panting and well sated. Victor kissed the top of Grace’s head and carefully pulled out of her. He then carried her back to the table to cleaned her up. Grace was a little out of it as Victor wiped her down with a cold wet wash cloth.

“My beautiful, Grace. Rest and we’ll finish what we came here to do. After that I’ll take you somewhere nice. Anywhere your heart desires.” He told her.

“W-Will you stay with me?” She timidly asked, “I don’t want to be alone again.”

Victor’s eyes softened and he bent down and kissed her lightly, “You’ll never be alone again, Grace.”

Once she was cleaned up and redressed with some fresh gauze on her shoulder, Victor lead Grace through the arc by her hand. She felt a little sore as she walked and could still feel some of his cum inside of her, a constant reminder of what had just transpired between them. Victor loved the why it seemed cause a permanent tint to her cheeks. It was lovely.

They ran into the occasional zombie or licker, but Victor quickly dispatched them with his tentacles. He had explained to her that he was infected with the nemesis parasite and that gave him specific mutations that had their benefits. Like decapitating lickers at the drop of a hat. She felt more at ease with him now.

They entered a spacious white room with an assortment of screens with one large one in the center. Victor lead Grace to it and began tapping away at the keyboard. He wished to find a safer route to Elpis. Yes, he could handle the infected, but he didn’t want to chance it. Grace looked around as Victor worked, her eyes soon landing on the disc drive attached to the counsel. The shape looked familiar. It then clicked, reaching into her pocket she found the disc that her mother had left behind.

“V-Victor.” She spoke up, and when he looked over Grace held the disc up, “M-My mother left this behind.” She glanced at the disc drive then back at him.

Victor took it from her and looked at it curiously before putting it in the drive. He was curious to know what Miss. Ashcroft was attempting to hide. When it loaded the pair saw an assortment of video files. Victor clicked on the first one. The image of a dark room popped up on the screen showing a man in a wheel chair and Miss. Ashcroft. Grace felt her eyes well up with tears as soon as she heard her mom’s voice. It had been so long.

Shutting yourself away in a dark room like this is quite the change for you… After the life you’ve lead.” Alyssa was addressing the man in the wheelchair.

Life takes unexpected turns, don’t you think?” The man replied.

“Lord Spencer…” Victor’s voice was soft. He recognized his Master’s voice.

“T-That’s Spencer?” Grace had seen a picture or two of him in the past, but they were usually younger portraits, not like this.

Victor nodded as they continued to watch the video. The interview went on.

So tell me, Lord Spencer what would you like the world to know?”

The truth.” Spencer answered, before requesting a short break.

The video cut off and Grace felt confused.

“Why would my Mom hide this?”

Victor was also confused, his eyes glided over the videos until he noticed one that was actually name. ‘Grace’. He clicked that one next. A video appearing in that same room.

What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?”

Spencer sighed, “My research opened Pandora’s box, unleashing disaster upon the world”

Except Elpis… the goddess of hope? Or so the myth goes.”

A blind hope.”

What do you mean?”

Humans cannot predict when death will come for them. This is why they have hope. I was wrong… And I am plagued by guilt. Happiness cannot be achieved at the expense of others.” He then tapped his cane a few times on the floor, “I think that’s enough for today.”

There was footsteps off to the side, as if someone was coming into the room.

Why did you accept my request for an interview?”

Spencer ignored her question and began to chuckle as a bundle was brought to him. He cradled the bundle in his arms, and they both realized it was a baby.

Who is th-? Is that one of your subjects?”

Of course not. She was alone in the world, I took her in to make amends.”

Is she…?”

Perfectly normal. Just an average child needing a home. She… is my hope. Aren’t you beautiful?”

Grace didn’t know why, but she began crying at his soft words.

Would you like to hold her?” He suddenly asked Alyssa.

Oh! Um...Okay.” She got up and made her way to them before picking up the child in her arms, “She’s adorable. What’s her name?”

Grace.”

Grace felt her heart clench. She suspected, but hearing it made her heart ache. Her mom, wasn’t her mom, and she was the adopted daughter of Spencer. She hadn’t just lost a mother, but a father as well.

Is there anything else you’d like to tell me?”

Spencer took a deep breath, “I’ve said my piece. I only hope it serves as a requiem for those who have passed.”

The video cut off. Leaving Grace in a spiral of emotions. She glanced at Victor who was just staring at the screen. It occurred to her then. Victor thought she was special. ‘Unique’ as he put it. His whole interest in her was because she was some sort of supposed ‘key’. Did this change things between them? It was making her spiral. It was to much. Was she going to lose Victor now?

“I-I’m sorry.” Grace stuttered, fresh tears in her eyes.

Victor turned his gaze to her, his face unreadable. Grace looked at the floor, she was scared to look at him, scared she wasn’t going to see his soft look that seemed only for her.

“I-I’m not special. I’m just normal. I-I’m sorry.” She felt like she wanted to disappear.

Suddenly Victor brought her close startling her. He held her firm against him.

“Do you want to hear about the first time I saw you?” He asked surprising her, “I had been searching for you for so long once I found out Spencer had an heir and that heir could be the key to Elpis. Yes, that’s why I sought you out, but then I saw you in person. You were at a cafe on your own. Completely focused on some novel you were reading.” He chuckled, “Your expressions kept changing as you read. It was entertaining to watch. You looked so adorable. Especially when your nose scrunched up, clearly upset about something that transpired in the story. I was so tempted to join you and ask you about what you were reading…” He pulled away to gaze down into her eyes, a soft smile on his face, “That’s when I realized you were more than just a key to me.”

Grace sniffled and felt shy all of the sudden, “T-That was pretty stalkery you know… But also oddly romantic.”

Victor chuckled and cupped her face, drying her eyes, “You mean the world to me, Grace. If you’re not the key, then we just need to search some more. It won’t change how I feel about you.” He took her hand and placed it on his chest, “My heart was yours the moment I saw you.”

Grace nodded feeling reassured, she then rested her head on Victor’s chest and he brought her close again. They just stood in that room holding each other for a moment before they continued on their way through the Arc. They were in the center of it now. The large room was intimidating, at least it wasn’t white though. Grace’s eyes were hurting in the other rooms. Zeno was waiting for them by the console in the center of the room. He looked a little worse for wear. His sunglasses were even cracked.

Victor smirked at his state, “Did you have fun with Mr. Kennedy?”

Zeno glared at him and growled, “Fuck off, Gideon.” He then glance between the two, “You both sure took your time.” He had a suggestive tone as his gaze lingered their joined hands.

Grace felt uncomfortable and Victor could sense it, he wouldn’t allow this pathetic excuse of a replacement to judge her.

“Look at her any longer, Zeno, and I’ll rip your skin right off your body.” He growled.

Zeno tried not to flinch, tried not to show fear when if came to Victor, but he could see the nemesis parasite moving under his skin, just ready to strike him at any moment. He tried to smirk, but Grace and Victor could see it falter a little. Zeno then turned towards the console and activated it.

“You’re up, Miss Key.”

Grace looked up at Victor, and he turned to her with an encouraging smile before motioning to the device. The girl nodded and stepped forward. This was the moment of truth. She looked at the screen and keyboard before her. There was one question prompted.

What does the creator desire?”

What sort of question is that? She just stared at it her mind racing. ‘Creator’? Would that be Spencer? What did Spencer desire?

“What are you waiting for?” Zeno snapped.

“Give her time!” Victor growled again, his parasite itching to just kill the man.

Grace ignored them. She thought about what she knew about Spencer, very little admittedly. The video then came to mind. ‘Elpis the goddess of hope’ ‘She is my hope.’ Grace took a deep breath and began to type.

What does the creator desire?”

H O P E

The machine sprung to life startling her, soon opening to show a set of vials. Zeno wasted no time he shoved Grace out of the way enraging Victor, but then he smirked. Based on his Master’s words he had a feeling he knew what Elpis actually was, and it was the perfect karma for someone like Zeno.

“I-I don’t think Elpis i-is what you think it is.” Grace tried to warn him, she had to much of a soft heart.

Zeno ignored her warning and injected himself with one of the vials. He felt himself healing from the virus and smirks.

“I give you both the honor of witnessing my new power.” Zeno smirked, but then that smirk faded. His strength, it was leaving him. He took his sunglasses off and his eyes turned back to normal. He was no longer enhanced. “But you released Elpis…” He turned to Grace, “What is it? Tell me!”

Grace flinched, “S-Spencer wanted to make amends, Elpis was his atonement, it’s an antiviral!”

The realization dawned on Zeno then. He was powerless now. Victor began to laugh cruelly.

“Amazing, I’m truly humbled by my Master’s genius.”

Zeno glared at him, “Your research was wrong. Elpis wasn’t a weapon. There was never a key!”

Victor shrugged, “Spencer’s paper was obviously incomplete. There was no connection between Grace and Emily.”

“Do you know how much time and money I wasted on this?!” He yelled, his anger overcoming his fear of the mutant.

“Don’t you see the genius?” Victor grinned, “With Elpis, all virus-based weapons are useless. The world order will be thrown into chaos.”

“We wanted a weapon!”

“Instead Spencer gave us anarchy. I will carry his torch and bring his vision to life.” He smiled to Grace who was just watching the exchange, “With Grace at my side.” Grace smiled back at him, liking that idea.

Zeno smirked, his anger making him crazed, “You can keep dreaming.” He then pulled out his gun and in a flash he shot Grace in the chest.

Time seemed to stand still. The white hot pain spread through Grace’s body as she staggered to the ground. Her ears were ringing and she couldn’t focus. She thought she heard someone scream her name. There was a lot of yelling and her vision was going black. Her last thought before blacking out was Victor. She didn’t want to leave him alone. They were suppose to be together.

Incident Report:

Raccoon City – Ark Incident

Agent Kennedy arrived at the Ark following a confrontation with a man known as ‘Zeno’. Agent Kennedy followed Zeno to the Ark’s entrance and investigated the inside. He was able to find the main chamber where he heard an argument between Zeno and former Umbrella scientist Victor Gideon. Miss Grace Ashcroft, the missing FBI agent, was there as well. That is where Agent Kennedy learned that Elpis is in fact an antiviral, not a weapon as our intel had first thought. Agent Kennedy tested this himself on the scene and it seems to be accurate.

During the argument, Zeno shot Miss Ashcroft which seemed to enrage Dr Gideon. He ripped Zeno apart limb from limb, revealing he is a nemesis class bioweapon. Dr. Gideon then left with Miss Ashcroft’s body before Agent Kennedy could intervene. The pair have yet to be seen. It’s presumed that Miss Ashcroft is deceased.

Grace felt like she was swimming in darkness. She was unconscious and suddenly it was like there was a spark had come to life inside her. She felt cold, but could could sense something in the back of her mind. Like she wasn’t alone in her own body.

Safe.’

Rest.’

Something spoke to her, but it wasn’t in words, but as feelings that she could interpret. She settled back down into the comforting darkness and there she remained, for how long she didn’t know. When she fully woke up though she found herself in red silk sheets. She was in a black silk slip that seemed to hang off her every curve. When she looked around she appeared to be in a bedroom she didn’t recognize. It was a decent size that had a balcony. She was trying to remember what happened, but her mind was clouded. She remembered Victor, then Elpis, then Zeno. When she remembered the gun shot she sat up and pulled the slip down enough to look at her chest. There wasn’t a bullet wound, but there was a scar. It went down her chest, but it was healed. How long had she been out for?

“You’re finally awake.”

Grace looked towards the voice and found Victor in the doorway. His visor was gone and he was in a button up shirt and dress pants. He looked so relieved.

“Victor.” She smiled also felling relieved.

Victor strode over and sat on the bed next to her, caressing her cheek.

“How do you feel?” He looked her over.

“I feel fine. Like I woke up from a dream.” She leaned into his touch.

“More like a nightmare, my love.” He kissed her forehead, “I need to tell you what happened, Grace.”

“W-What happened? I-I remember being shot, but nothing after that.”

Victor nodded, “You were fading so fast. I was terrified I was going to lose you. I rushed you to one of the labs in the arc, and did the only thing I could think to do.”

Grace tilted her head in confusion, and Victor gently caressed the scar on her chest. It caused her to shiver and that’s when she felt something slither under her skin.

“I implanted part of my parasite into you.” He spoke softly trying not to scare her.

Grace’s eyes widened, but oddly enough she didn’t feel scared. She felt comforted? She wondered if the parasite was calming her.

“S-So I’m like you now?”

“In a way, although your evolution was much more elegant than mine was.” He smiled and helped her stand.

Victor helped her over to a mirror and the Grace barely recognized herself. Her blond hair was longer and the closer it got to bottom the more sheer it seemed, parts of her skin looked opalescent almost like she had scales here and there, and her eyes resembled Victor’s but they were blue instead of yellow.

“You’re beautiful, my love.” He kissed the top of her head, “You remind me of a siren.”

Victor’s hands caressed her shoulders and the action sent a pleasant shiver up her spine. It would take some getting use to, but she had to admit. She felt so beautiful and powerful like this. Was this how Victor felt all the time?

Grace leaned into his chest wanting to feel his arms around her, “Thank you for saving me, Victor.”

“Always.” He turned her around and had her look up at him, “No one shall harm you again. Zeno is dead and I will take the rest of them down, they will all fall at your feet.” He took her hand and place a kiss on the back of it, “Lady Spencer.”

Grace looked at him curiously, “Lady Spencer?”

Victor nodded and smiled, still holding her hand he lead her to the balcony. What she thought was the sun blinded her for a moment, but then she realized it was an artificial one. The balcony overlooked what looked like an underground facility, with a courtyard that lead to a series of rooms and labs. Across from the balcony on the opposite wall was the Umbrella logo but instead of red it was blue.

“Welcome to your new Kingdom, my Mistress. We shall continue your father’s legacy and wish.”

As Grace looked over the facility. Her father’s voice spoke in her mind.

A requiem

Grace smiled. Accepting her new role.

Grace Ashcroft was dead.

Long live Lady Spencer.

Notes:

I'm tempted to write a sequel to this, but no promises. We'll see. I just love the idea of Nemesis Grace. I picture her like one of those cute smol white snakes while Victor's like a boa constrictor.
