the elpis effect

Summary:

Elpis has some... unconventional side effects.

It turns out it's really not as bad as it sounds.

Notes:

yeah sorry it's been a few years. these two are so endearing that i can't NOT write for them...

- i'm assuming it's been long enough that it's not a problem for anyone, but i'll still mention that this has crazy re9 spoilers!!
- i didn't think it was worth tagging, but leon experiences what could maybe be seen as minor body dysmorphia for a little bit as he adjusts to new body parts, so be aware if you're worried, but it's very minor and only comes up once or twice before chris sets him straight (lol)
- if you care, in my world chris and leon met after code veronica, when they were both in their twenties. there's only one line about this, and it has no actual impact on the story, i just. like the thought of that.

enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Leon’s chest was burning up. The edges of his vision were fuzzy and impossible to parse, but he sucked in another shaking breath even as it tore at his lungs. He watched as Grace took a step back from the machinery containing Elpis, and braced himself to watch it crumble. Instead, the center cylinder raised from the console, the glass vials of golden liquid becoming accessible, and the cold feeling of betrayal swept over him.

“What’re you doing, Grace?” he asked in a warning tone, wanting to trust her, but worried he already knew.

Grace swiveled to face him, more confident than he had seen her so far, starting to tell him, “Spencer regretted what he did! He n-” before Zeno roughly pulled her out of the way to examine the newly-freed Elpis. The man’s eyes swept over to Leon, and he stalked closer, injecting himself with the contents of the vial.

“Mr. Kennedy,” he began, and Leon forced himself to look up, even as it made his whole body cry in pain to move. “I give you the honor of experiencing my power firsthand.”

How generous of you, Leon thought, but couldn’t summon the energy to say. Breathing was taking too much of his focus right now, and he felt the way the T-virus was consuming his body, eating away at him from the inside out.

He distantly heard Grace trying to speak over Zeno, who seemed to be rapidly experiencing some sort of reaction to whatever it was that was in Elpis. The man turned to face Grace, and even though Leon was struggling to understand what they were saying, he recognized the murderous intent with which Zeno was closing in on Grace just fine. Leon gathered all of his strength, rising to his feet and launching himself at Zeno, trying to tackle the man to the ground. It caught the man off guard, but he easily overpowered Leon, turning to hurl him to the floor and-

Fuck, that hurt.

Leon couldn’t quite contain the pained noise that he made as he hit the ground, white-hot pain lancing through his body, every nerve ending lighting up in agony. He exhaled hard, faintly felt someone’s hand on his hip - Grace - and fought not to black out with how much it all hurt.

He was trying, really, but Leon knew he was missing moments, wrestling to control his body, lightheaded with the effort it was taking. There was a sudden sharp pain in his forearm, and he felt the way every cell in his body narrowed down to that one point of contact. It was like a shot of pure adrenaline, and the immediate way his mind was able to focus again was almost overwhelming.

Every part of him was tingling, the sensation so intense it was almost burning. He forced his eyes to open, centering on his hand, the way that the black bruises and markings seemed to fade, leaving only raised white scars behind. Jesus Christ, Elpis was a cure. Leon was hyper-aware of the way the substance raced through his veins, and he felt just a little out of touch with his body, feeling his strength return to him all at once.

He pushed himself up, settling into a low crouch, and glanced over at Grace who was clutching her side, bright crimson leaking through her fingers. Shit.

“Grace, what happened?” he asked, trying to regain his bearings, looking briefly around when no answer was forthcoming. Was that Gideon? Why wouldn’t anything in Racoon City stay dead?

The platform beneath them was groaning alarmingly, and there was a crack as the walkways fell away, the center structure crumbling. Leon reached for Grace, but as the platform tipped at a sharp angle, he slid past her, tumbling down to what looked like a lower level. He braced for the impact, only to find that it barely hurt when he hit the ground. His body was practically buzzing, and for as much as that confused Leon, there were more pressing matters. “Grace. Grace!” he yelled, striding through the rubble, scanning for any signs of her. Can’t lose her, not now - not when we’re so close -

He rounded a pile of debris, only to come face-to-face with Gideon, one of the doctor’s arms now a horrible tentacle, flicking through the air in a way that promised to be painful. Not who I was looking for, Leon groused silently, reaching for the Requiem, slotting two more bullets into the magnum’s chamber.

“Spencer’s vision lives through me,” Gideon declared, lumbering towards Leon, tentacle flailing. “And I will see that it is brought to fruition!”

Leon only had time to fire once into the doctor’s form before he had to roll away, out of the tyrant’s range. The familiar anger was starting to bubble up in him, though. No matter how many times he faced down these fuckers, the utter lack of humanity never ceased to infuriate Leon. “And how many more will have to die for that ‘vision’?” he snarled, firing three more heavy slugs into Gideon.

The doctor growled in pain, lunging for Leon. “You don’t have the power to save anyone!” he cried, and Leon grit his teeth, burying the memory of the note he had found only hours earlier in RPD. He didn’t justify the insult with an answer, and fired the last bullet in the Requiem’s chamber into Gideon’s chest before sprinting away as the doctor lurched for him, tentacle slamming into the concrete where Leon had been seconds before.

Gideon made a noise of frustration and leapt away, to the edge of the platform, where four new mutated tentacles burst from his back, blue volts of electricity encircling the man’s body. Leon narrowly avoided one of the bolts, the air crackling as the blue lightning sliced through it. “You insufferable…fool,” the tyrant groaned, tentacles lashing for Leon, his voice gravelly and thick, like he was losing himself to the transformations he was undergoing. “My master’s future…is absolute,”

“Seems you’re reaching your limit,” Leon taunted, switching to his shotgun, firing at the man who was stumbling for him, disoriented but still deadly. Once Gideon became a little too close for comfort, Leon slung the shotgun back over his shoulder and ran again. His whole body was still thrumming with the effects of Elpis, and as he dug through a hip pouch for ammo, he tried to take stock of himself. The tingling that had started in earnest when Grace had injected him hadn’t really gone away, and Leon was rapidly realizing he had almost no sensation from his waist to his knees, the prickling sensation strongest in his thighs, in his groin.

There was no time to think about it, though, not when one of Gideon’s flailing tentacles hit Leon’s shoulder, bruising force behind it. Leon exhaled sharply at the pain and ducked away, slamming five new bullets into the Requiem, spinning the revolving chamber back into place as he scrambled away from the lumbering doctor.

With enough distance, he whirled around and fired two more rounds into the tyrant, who stumbled back with a guttural noise of pain. More mutated, flailing tentacle-like limbs burst from his body as he shrieked wordlessly, staggering backwards until he lost his balance and tumbled over the edge.

Leon exhaled slowly, only lowering the Requiem fractionally, before there was a deep groan from the void, and two massive, mutated hands curled around the edge of the platform, a disgusting amalgamation of flesh and infection pulling itself up.

“A Nemesis,” Leon breathed, things starting to make sense about his encounters with the strange doctor. “No wonder you’re so damn relentless.”

The thing bellowed, unfurling to reveal its core, pulsating red sacs emerging, obvious weak spots. Leon holstered the Requiem and swung the shotgun out to fire into them, some bursting open and causing the Nemesis to howl in pain.

The satisfaction was short lived, however, and Leon gasped in pain as he was swept up by the claws of the mutated creature, too fast to avoid. It was crushing him, squeezing him in its grasp, and for a delirious second, Leon was glad he couldn’t feel his lower abdomen, because he was sure this would hurt way worse if he could. As it was, he struggled against the iron grip he was trapped in, just barely able to get a foot up and push the claws open, slipping free. He glanced up to see the massive vulnerable core of the Nemesis, and made a split second decision, running up the mutated arm that was trying to kill him, before he made a desperate leap of faith towards it, his hatchet outstretched. There was a painful heartbeat where he was suspended in the air, uncertain that he would be able to make it.

Then his axe met flesh, sinking into the defenseless heart of the Nemesis, and he held on tight, his weight dragging the blade deeper, sending the monster thrashing in pain. Leon’s hatchet came free at the movement, and he grunted as he hit the ground, but the damage had been done - the Nemesis was writhing angrily, strength clearly dying.

Leon stood, drawing the Requiem and firing once at each of the arms reaching clumsily for him, blasting the limbs off of the Nemesis. He strode forward, looking up at the injured, pulsing core of the Nemesis, leveling the magnum revolver at it, ignoring the way it howled at him, desperate and angry.

“This time, you ain’t getting back up,” he told it in no uncertain terms, before shooting it with the last bullet in the chamber.

Leon was filled with grim satisfaction as the Nemesis exploded into chunks of mutated flesh and a torrent of blood, although he didn’t spend more than half a second to bask in the feeling, glancing up at the ceiling, which was creaking ominously where it had been hit by the Nemesis.

“Grace,” he called immediately, turning to scan the rubble again. “Grace, where are you?” Nothing. A cold panic was taking root in his chest, and he fought to keep it down, to remind himself that he was a fucking professional.

“Sherry?” he tried instead, reaching for his earpiece. “Sherry, come in. Sherry!” No answer, just the crumbling of the ceiling, the walls starting to give.

“Grace!” he called again, louder, his voice sounding more scared even to his own ears. He came around another huge piece of metal and finally spotted her limp form, unmoving. “Grace, hold on,” he breathed, jogging to her, dropping to her side and reaching for her shoulder. He shook her gently, mindful of the wound in her side that was still slowly oozing blood. He wanted to cry when she stirred, blinking up at him confusedly and whispering his name as a question.

“Yeah, it’s okay,” he said a little breathlessly, not fully sure who he was convincing. He hadn’t felt this out of his element in ages, and the combination of Elpis running through his veins doing God knows what to his body as well as being back in Raccoon City was making his hands shake in a way that made him feel off-center.

The ceiling groaned again, and he tried to shake the feeling off. “We need to get you out of here,” he told Grace quickly, hooking an arm under her knees and the other behind her back, moving to pick her up. “Let’s get you up,” he encouraged, only to be brought up short as she cried out in pain, the movement clearly tugging at her wound.

Huge chunks of concrete and rebar were tumbling to the ground around them, and Leon looked around, standing up, trying to find an escape route. He scanned the platform, but it was covered with debris, and the entrance was hundreds of feet above the ceiling that was slowly giving way.

“There’s no way out, is there?” came Grace’s voice, soft and hesitant behind him, and Leon felt his chest constrict. There wasn’t. He didn’t even have contact with Sherry or anyone at the DSO to get an evac team. Something cold and dark was curling up in Leon’s chest as the reality started to set in. All these years fighting, and this is how it ends? He wondered, looking up through the gaps in the ceiling, unable to even see the original walkways they had been on.

All these years, and it was going to be fucking Raccoon City that killed him after all?

Leon swallowed down the fear that was burning in his chest, and slowly turned back to Grace as more of the ceiling crumbled around them. “Well, I’m not gonna leave your side,” he said quietly, walking back to her and sinking down next to her. “I’m gonna sit right here with you,” he assured her, forcing all of his own emotions down to offer some comfort to her in what was becoming increasingly obviously their last moments.

The lights went out, one by one, plunging the area into darkness. Leon took a deep breath and let his mind wander. He hoped Sherry wouldn’t be too upset, that Jake would take care of her. He thought of Claire, and hoped she would keep taking care of his plants, the ones she had gifted him and he kept accidentally killing.

He thought of Chris, and his heart ached something fierce. Oh, Chris…

Chris would be furious, and more than that, he would be gutted. In the pitch black, Leon reached into his pocket and fished out his wedding ring, sliding it onto his finger, wanting one more moment of comfort. Leon’s chest was burning, and at this point, he couldn’t even tell if it was from the antiviral or the thought of Chris’s face shuttering when he was contacted by the DSO to tell him that Leon S. Kennedy was M.I.A., presumed dead.

Minutes passed, and suddenly the lights came back to life, flooding the platform with bright white light. Grace gasped and Leon shielded his eyes, watching as ropes fell from the gaps in the ceiling, masked soldiers sliding down them. He had half a mind to reach for the Requiem where it was holstered against his chest, but with the sheer number of men, it would be suicide. One soldier landed in front of Leon and Grace, and said, “Leon S. Kennedy?”

“Depends who’s asking,” Leon said, eyeing the man warily.

“Alpha. Do you read me, sir?” the man said, clearly speaking to someone through a radio. He  approached Leon and Grace, adding, “Yeah, they’re safe. I got ‘em…Yes, sir.” He came right up to the bruised and bleeding pair, sinking down on one knee to their level, the concrete crunching under his boots.

“I have a message from Captain Redfield.”

༻𐫱༺

Topside, Leon made his way through the throngs of BSAA agents, his connection to Sherry re-established above ground. “Can’t believe that antiviral actually worked,” he marveled to her. “I’m going to have Rebecca test it before I send it your way, but I feel better than I have in ages,” he said, carefully not thinking too hard about the way his lower stomach was still prickling and he felt just a touch warmer than he had before. He had been infected and cured before, if the worst of Elpis was a strange feeling and a low-grade fever, Leon was more than happy.

“Thank you, Leon,” Sherry said, like she didn’t know damn well Leon would go to the ends of the Earth and back again for her.

“Would have been a lot smoother if Chris hadn’t been so late to the party,” Leon sighed, coming to a stop as he scanned the wreckage of Raccoon City, overrun with police cars and armed soldiers.

“Where is Chris anyway?” Sherry asked, her voice tinny in Leon’s earpiece. He scoffed, shaking his head with a smile.

“No idea. I’m sure I’ll run into him at some point,” he said, rolling out his shoulders. Chris was almost certainly chewing someone out for how long it took to extract Leon and Grace, and would be thundering through the evac site to find his husband in no time.

His gaze landed on Grace, sitting in a helicopter, wrapped in a shock blanket and nursing a styrofoam cup. “I’ll call you back,” he said absently into his earpiece, and Sherry chirped an affirmative before the line went dead as Leon approached Grace.

“It’s over, then,” he said, offering the FBI agent a smile, lopsided and easy, hoping to make her feel better.

Grace looked up from her cup and returned Leon’s smile, murmuring, “Yeah. Elpis really was our last hope,”

“I’m sorry I doubted you,” Leon said seriously, wanting Grace to understand how much he meant it. Although she hadn’t followed his instructions, he felt bad for immediately assuming she was out to betray him, especially after how much he had seen her handle just to get to Elpis. “You were right, and I never would have known that it was a cure.”

“I-I’m sorry I didn’t get to explain it to you before it all happened,” Grace said, dropping her eyes.

“We made it out. That’s what matters,” Leon said, rubbing her shoulder affectionately, giving her another little smile, which Grace mirrored again.

“Leon!” came a yell from across the clearing, and both Leon and Grace turned to see the unmistakable figure of Chris Redfield jogging towards them, a massive silhouette, all broad shoulders and powerful legs.

Leon didn’t even hesitate, pulling away from Grace and letting Chris run right into him, hugging him hard. It squeezed the air out of his lungs, but he wouldn’t have it any other way - less than an hour ago, he had come to terms with the fact that he would never get a hug like this again.

“I cannot fucking believe you, Leon,” Chris growled into his ear, not easing up an inch. “You end up back in Raccoon City and you didn’t even think to call me?” he continued, clearly upset. “You nearly die from your infection, don’t think we’re not going to talk about that, and you would be buried under this fucking city if you hadn’t stumbled upon a cure,” he went on, still holding Leon tight to his chest like he wanted to make sure he was real.

“Well, it doesn’t sound good when you say it like that,” Leon winced, and Chris pulled back to look at him, brow furrowed, his brown eyes sharp with worry and frustration.

“You are going to get looked at by Rebecca, right now, so help me God,” Chris demanded, and Leon privately thinks that his Captain Redfield voice is a little undercut by the tender way he runs his thumbs over Leon’s face, brushing his hair back.

“Okay, okay,” Leon relented, dropping his gaze, dirty strands of hair falling over his face. Chris turned, finally acknowledging Grace, who had gone a little pink, trying not to stare at the way the two men had embraced each other. “You must be Agent Ashcroft,” he said, sliding easily back into his professional voice.

“Yeah, that’s me,” Grace said with a shy smile, waving awkwardly from where she sat.

“Anything you need? We should be starting evac within the hour, but if there’s anything I can get you in the meantime…” Chris trailed off, and Leon had to bite back a smile at the way his husband fussed over the FBI agent in his own way.

“Oh! No, that’s- I’m fine,” Grace stammered, pulling her shock blanket a little tighter around herself. Chris nodded firmly, and one big warm hand settled on the small of Leon’s back, steady and comforting.

“Just let us know,” he told her warmly, before turning back to Leon, frowning again. “And where is your jacket? Why do I even bother buying you things anymore?”

Leon smiled tiredly as his husband fussed over him, walking him to the medical tent, lifting the flaps for him to enter. “I need to debrief my team,” he said, looking torn at the prospect of leaving Leon’s side again.

“Go take care of them,” Leon insisted, waving him off. “I’ll talk to Rebecca, and you can come find me when you’re done,” Chris gave him a pained look, and swept him into a quick kiss before he disappeared into the crowd of government agents and soldiers, leaving Leon outside the tent.

“I heard you took a mystery pill,” Rebecca greeted Leon as he entered, looking up at him with a smile, her eyes glinting playfully.

“More like a mystery needle, but yeah,” Leon said a little sheepishly, rubbing a hand over the back of his neck, offering her a wry smile.

She snorted, snapping blue powder gloves on and pulling a butterfly needle out of its sterile packaging, connecting the tubing to a small plastic collection vial. “Well, you’re still upright,” she said, nodding towards a makeshift exam bed. “Let’s see whatcha got.”

Leon sank onto the folding bed, rolling the filthy sleeve of his shirt up above the crook of his elbow, and Rebecca came over, sliding the needle in with a flick, practiced and painless. The collection vial filled with blood rapidly and she removed it from the tubing, replacing it with another, which filled just as fast. “Anything feel strange since the injection?” Rebecca asked, glancing up at him while she collected her samples.

Leon shrugged. “I’m a little warm, I think. It burned a little when Grace gave me the dose, and everything’s still a little…prickly, but overall, fine,” he reported, watching as Rebecca set her now-full vials aside and gently remove the needle from his arm, covering the spot with a cotton ball before it could keep bleeding.

She slid the blood vials into a portable analysis machine, the apparatus whirring to life, and spun back to face Leon. “Other injuries?” she asked expectantly, looking him up and down.

“Got a nasty bruise, but honestly, I kind of feel like I’m twenty again,” Leon said, smiling at her cheekily, earning himself an affectionate scoff from the scientist.

“Yeah, well, you’ve been slowly dying for several years, so I’d imagine it’s a little strange to feel healthy again,” she reminded him drolly. “I’m still going to check for internal bleeding, though. I’d rather find out sooner than later,” Rebecca hummed, reaching for a handheld ultrasound wand.

Leon tugged his shirt up dutifully, leaning back on the bed, exhaling slowly as his muscles went lax for the first time in days. Rebecca pressed the probe into his upper abdomen, firm but not painful, moving it slowly towards the purpling bruise across Leon’s stomach.

The pressure was constant and grounding, and Leon almost found himself dozing off before he caught Rebecca make the smallest noise. It wasn’t much, just a sharp inhale, but Leon glanced up at her, and her brows were furrowed, frowning down at the ultrasound’s display. She carefully moved the probe another few inches, and only seemed to frown deeper.

“‘m I bleeding?” Leon asked unconcernedly, his voice a little hoarse, already mentally resigning himself to the weeks of bedrest Chris would be sure to enforce. He was no stranger to recovery from internal bleeding, but sitting around doing nothing got old fast.

Before he could get too lost in self-pity, however, Rebecca looked up to meet his eyes, looking equal parts worried and confused. “No, it’s- uh… I’m not quite sure how, but you’ve got some new equipment, Leon,” she said haltingly, wincing a little at her own words.

Leon stared at her, bewildered. “What?” he finally said dumbly, feeling very lost. “What does that even mean?

Holding the probe still against his midriff, just under his navel, Rebecca spun the display around to show him what looked like a lot of nondescript gray blobs, and he stared at it blankly, unsure if he was supposed to be seeing something obvious that he was missing. Before he could open his mouth though, she jabbed a finger at the central shape, light gray and fuzzy and vaguely shaped like an upside down triangle.

“I’m…maybe 90% sure that’s a uterus, Leon,” Rebecca said, her voice a little hysterical.

“Fucking- what?” Leon spluttered, choking on thin air. For the first time that he could remember, the DSO’s poster boy found himself genuinely at a loss for words, gaping stupidly at the screen while Rebecca shifted the probe from side to side, scanning the organ from multiple angles to confirm her suspicions.

“How is that- even possible?” he finally asked weakly, looking back up at her, feeling a little bit like he’d just been hit in the head with a 2x4.

She shrugged helplessly, shutting the ultrasound machine off, pulling the probe away and wiping the gel off of his stomach, finally meeting his desperate gaze. “I don’t know,” she sighed, tugging her gloves off one at a time and sinking into a stiff folding chair. “Maybe Elpis works through a hormone imbalance? And it’s just too strong of a drug that it changed your body’s genetic makeup?” she guessed, crossing her arms over her chest and regarding Leon like he was a particularly challenging petri dish. “Spencer wasn’t exactly well-versed in developing antivirals, so it doesn’t seem like a stretch to assume even Elpis has flaws.”

The blood analysis machine chirped, and Rebecca turned to scan the results that had populated the system’s screen. “CBC is normal,” she noted to herself and Leon scoffed dryly, his mind still spinning.

“Thank god for that,” he muttered, defaulting to sarcasm, even though he couldn’t have identified the acronym to save his own life. Rebecca snorted humorlessly and continued to scrutinize the readout.

“Honestly, Leon, you’re really healthy,” she said, scrunching up her nose sympathetically. “Chemically, you’re completely back to normal. You just have- some new organs,” she finished helplessly.

Jesus, Kennedy, you really know how to get into it, huh? Leon berated himself, running a hand through his hair tiredly, the grease and dirt slicking the strands back and only making him feel more disgusting.

“Look, I’m gonna keep looking at it, but you should go home, get some rest,” Rebecca suggested after a few seconds of silence. “I need a proper lab, and you need sleep,”

“I- yeah, okay. Fuck,” Leon exhaled, acutely aware that he had just been staring blankly at her, trying to keep up while fatigued and running on fumes of adrenaline.

“I’ll go find your big dumb brute,” she said, standing up and brushing her fringe out of her eyes.

“He does have a name,” Leon protested numbly as she strode out of the medical tent, his heart not really in it. The quiet in the tent became oppressive as soon as he was alone, left with his thoughts.

So he had a…uterus. Was that the only new part, or had the reproductive organ come with the whole set? Leon discarded the idea as soon as he had it. I think I’d know if I had grown a vagina, he thought wryly, only…his groin was still numb, and sensation was only just beginning to return to his lower abdomen, so would he really have known? Was he paranoid, or did the space between his legs feel a little more empty?

He was torn from his spiraling thoughts by the crunch of gravel as boots approached the tent, Chris appearing and ducking in, offering Leon a grin that made his chest feel stupidly fuzzy and warm. “‘Becca said you were good to go?” he checked, and made no indication of being told about Leon’s new predicament.

“Yeah, she just told me to get some rest,” Leon replied, hoping that his face wasn’t betraying the way his mind was racing.

“Grace is already gone,” Chris told him, offering Leon a hand to get up from the exam table that he accepted gratefully. “We’re cleared to head out, too. Higher ups are handling the rest of the wrap-up here,”

Leon nodded slowly, taking in the information, still thinking about what the fuck was going on in his body, and Chris’s eyes narrowed with concern. “What did Rebecca find?” he asked, eyeing Leon closely. “Is your infection gone?” he checked, his voice tight with poorly-suppressed worry, and Leon immediately felt bad.

“Yeah, she said I’m super healthy again,” he hastened to reassure Chris. “I feel like I’m in my twenties again.”

The anxiety melted away from Chris’s face, a sly little smile tugging at his lips instead. “I loved you in your twenties,” he hummed, pulling Leon close. “I love you now, too, but you were so cute when we met,”

Leon pushed him off with a playfully offended squawk and grumbled, “Why don’t you go bag a twenty year old, then, if I’m not cute enough anymore?”

Chris just laughed and held him a little tighter. “Because now you’re just plain hot,” he purred, sliding an errant hand down Leon’s stomach, towards-

Leon sprung away like he had been burned, wrenched right back into reality, feeling like a bucket of ice water had just been dumped down his spine. For fuck’s sake, he didn’t even know what was going on below his own belt, and it was putting him on edge, out of touch with himself in a way that he wasn’t used to. His body was thrumming, just slightly too hot all over, and he nearly missed the quiet way Chris whispered his name, teasing gone from his tone. “...Leon?”

“Sorry, I just- sorry,” Leon muttered, looking back up at Chris, a fresh wave of guilt crashing through him. “It’s just- adrenaline, still. I think,” he added lamely, and when Chris just nodded sympathetically, he felt even worse.

“Let’s go home,” Chris decided, and took a step back, holding the flap of the medical tent open for Leon to step through, watching him attentively. “Unfortunately, they found your Porsche in perfect condition,” he said, his teasing distaste for Leon’s car shining through.

Leon laughed at that, honestly pleased to hear it. “Take me home, then, you big stud,” he said playfully, leaning into Chris’s side as they made their way through the temporary base, leaving the wreckage of Raccoon City behind.

༻𐫱༺

“I’m gonna take a shower,” Leon said, dropping his things to the floor of the bedroom, brushing his greasy hair out of his face. “I don’t even want to know what kind of shit is on me,” he winced.

Chris just laughed, knowing the feeling well, and swooped in to give Leon a kiss, soft and slow and gentle, like he was reveling in the ability to do it, reminding himself that Leon was here, not trapped under the rubble of a long-dead city.

Leon let his eyes flutter closed, soaking the affection up like a sponge, exhausted. When Chris pulled away, he sighed, bone-tired but so grateful to be home. “I’ll be back,” he said softly, pulling a clean pair of boxers and a comfy set of pajama pants out of the dresser drawer, and giving Chris one last worn out smile before he slipped into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

He flicked the lights on and blinked at his reflection, taking in the tired lines of his body, the grime caked on his skin, in his hair, and the dark bags under his eyes. The sight wasn’t much of a surprise, and Leon couldn’t quite focus on it for long anyways, his body buzzing with anxious anticipation. Finally alone since being dosed with the antiviral, Leon could finally see the extent of what Elpis had done to his body.

He tugged his shirt off, grimacing as he saw the deep purpling bruise across his lower abdomen, undoubtedly from the crushing grip Gideon had managed to get on him near the end of their fight. Leon traced careful fingers over it, relieved when it only twinged faintly in discomfort, not the overwhelming pain he was worried it might be. He was acutely aware that he was stalling, however, and dropped his dirty shirt on the counter, undoing his belt and flicking open the button on his jeans, tugging them down along with his boxers all at once, and-

Fuck.

Holy fuck.

Leon stared at his reflection, entirely aware that his jaw had dropped, but unable to do anything about it at this point, because that was a fucking pussy. There was absolutely no getting around it, his dick was gone, replaced with an honest-to-god cunt.

“Oh, what the fuck,” he hissed to himself, finally getting his breath back.

Leon smoothed a hand up his stomach, pressing so that he could get a better look at it. Two fat juicy lips sat proudly between his legs, framed by a mess of dirty blond curls, and when he flattened a hand over his abdomen, they parted softly, revealing a hint of pink flesh. With his other hand, Leon hesitantly reached down, brushing his fingertips along the outside of the- his- pussy, and immediately jolted back like he had been burned, caught off guard at the way the sensation ran through him like a lightning bolt.

He gazed helplessly at his reflection, feeling a little bit like he had just been slammed into a concrete wall by a Tyrant. His thoughts were slow and heavy, like his brain was swimming in molasses, and distantly Leon knew his body was shutting down, exhaustion weighing him down now that the adrenaline had faded. He blinked hard and forced himself to turn away from the mirror, kicking his pants and boxers off to make his way to the shower on unsteady legs.

Water streamed from the shower head, steam already slowly filling the bathroom as Leon turned the temperature up as high as it would go, stepping in with a deep exhale. The water cascaded down his body, soaking into his hair, drops trickling down his face. It was almost too hot, but all Leon felt was relief, finally feeling the god-awful layers of grime and blood starting to melt off of him. He took the soap and started to scrub, rubbing his skin raw and letting the steam fill his lungs until the water ran clear.

He stepped out of the shower, drying his hair messily with a towel, before he dried the rest of himself off, flinching minutely as the cloth brushed up against his- pussy. He shook his head physically to get rid of the thought, banishing it from his mind. It was too late to be thinking about this mess - it was definitively tomorrow’s problem. He was incredibly grateful for his forethought to bring clean clothes into the bathroom with him, because he didn’t think he could handle trying to dodge Chris’s gaze and questions while attempting to hide his body from sight. The softness of the pajama pants was absolutely luxurious, and Leon was so tired, finally slowing down enough that fatigue could catch up to him.

He opened the bathroom door, turning the lights off and looking up to see Chris in bed, reading something on his phone, squinting endearingly at the screen. “You should be using your glasses,” Leon chastised him half-heartedly, tossing his towel into the hamper and pulling the sheets back on his side of the bed.

Chris looked up and set his phone down on the bedside table, grumbling, “I can see just fine,” as he watched Leon climb into bed, sliding over to meet him in the middle. “Shower help?” he asked, tugging Leon close.

Leon hummed a quiet affirmative, his eyes sliding shut as he soaked up Chris’s touch. Firm and warm and grounding, everything in the world that felt like home felt a little bit like Chris’s hugs, and although he wasn’t sure when that had happened, Leon didn’t mind it one bit. He was a highly-trained, seasoned professional, but Raccoon City was something that always made him feel off-center, a little less sure of himself, and to know he had Chris to come back to after returning to such a wretched place was a balm to his soul.

Chris was rubbing slow, absent-minded circles into Leon’s skin with his thumb, and he craned his neck to press a kiss into Leon’s hair, murmuring, “You did so good out there,” and Leon’s throat went tight at the praise.

“Grace was the one who saved my ass,” he mumbled, voice low and sleepy, almost missing the dismissive little noise Chris made at that.

“Sherry sent me the debrief, you did so well,” Chris maintained, his fingers still moving gently over Leon’s bicep, tracing shapes into it. “I wish you would have called me earlier,” he added, quieter.

Leon made a quiet noise of assent, fighting not to drift off. There hadn’t been much time to make contact for reinforcements, but he was quite certain that had Chris not brought his squad as soon as Sherry made the call, he would be dying under the rubble of a ruined city tonight instead of laying here.

Chris seemed to sense Leon’s bone-deep exhaustion and just murmured, “We can talk about it tomorrow. Get some sleep, Leon.” He smoothed a big hand down the back of Leon’s head, tender and caring, and Leon was helpless against the pull of sleep, finally letting himself sink into oblivion.

༻𐫱༺

Soft morning sunlight streamed in through the sliver in between the curtains, bathing the room in a gentle warm glow as Leon slowly, groggily came back to himself. He was warm from sleep and the throbbing soreness of his muscles from last night had faded into a significantly more manageable low-grade ache. He rolled over, and realized slowly that he was also alone in the bed, Chris nowhere to be found.

Leon took a deep breath in, savoring the feeling of being home, of being able to let his guard down, and for two blissful seconds, everything was perfectly, wonderfully normal. Then, his mind caught up, and he registered that the way he was laying should be crushing his cock, except- well. That wasn’t a problem anymore, was it?

He groaned into his pillow, a little dramatic, but he felt like he was within his rights to. What the fuck was he supposed to do about that? He knew he should tell Chris, but something treacherous in his mind was whispering, what if he’s disgusted by you? Will he really still want to touch you, knowing you’re tainted by Spencer’s work?

Leon tried to shake the thoughts off. This was Chris. Chris’s view of Leon wouldn’t be swayed by something like this…right?

He pushed himself up, exhaling through his nose as the new position made him acutely aware of the dark bruise across his stomach. Taking stock of his surroundings, Leon could now hear the faint sounds of music playing from the kitchen, and bubbling like something was sizzling on the stovetop. He swung his legs over the edge of the bed, standing up and only swaying a little before he wandered out of the bedroom, following the soft sound of Pearl Jam’s 90s hits playing over the speaker in the kitchen.

As Leon rounded the corner, he was met with the painfully domestic scene of Chris cooking breakfast, tending to what smelled like bacon in a frying pan, humming along to Eddie Vedder's baritone vocals. His flannel pants hung low on his hips, and his shoulders flexed as he adjusted the heat of the stove, every part of him ridiculously broad, and Leon was mildly alarmed at the way heat pooled in his gut, concentrating between his legs.

He tried not to pay it any mind, instead slinking up to slide his arms around Chris’s waist, reveling in the way the bigger man startled, clearly not aware Leon was awake yet. Leon hooked his chin over Chris’s shoulder as his husband covered Leon’s hands with his own, setting the spatula down.

“You’re up early, baby,” he murmured, taking the pan off the heat and shutting the stove off before turning around to face Leon. “How’d you sleep?” Chris asked, looping his arms around Leon’s waist, thumbs brushing back and forth over the soft skin right above the waistband of his sweatpants.

“Fine,” Leon hummed easily, letting his husband pull him in by the hips, resting his head on Chris’s shoulder, still just a little sleep-hazy. He was startled awake rapidly, though, by the way Chris leaned down, tilting his head to press hot, open-mouthed kisses to Leon’s neck, moving so insistently that Leon had no choice but to tilt his head, bearing more skin to Chris’s mouth. “What’s gotten into you?” he asked, laughing a little breathlessly.

Chris kissed over Leon’s pulse point, sucking the sensitive skin for a moment before he pulled away to meet Leon’s eyes. “You’re just- I’m so fucking glad you’re here, Leon,” he breathed, pupils blown wide, lips parted as he looked down at his husband with an intensity and hunger that made heat crawl up Leon’s neck, spreading like a fire through his body. “You scared the shit out of me yesterday,” Chris added sternly, but it was hard to take him seriously when he still looked like he wanted to eat Leon whole, restrained want visible in every line of his body.

The warmth that was creeping through Leon was concentrating in between his legs in an entirely foreign way, and Leon could swear he felt his fucking heartbeat there, between his thighs. “Sorry,” he murmured, pressing a little kiss to Chris’s stubble-scratchy jawline. “Didn’t think it would get that dicey,”

Chris just huffed at that, tugging Leon into a searing kiss, tongue sliding against Leon’s. It was so easy like this, so familiar it hurt and Leon let himself melt into it, to meet Chris with the same languid heat he always did.

When Chris’s hand snaked down to squeeze his ass, though, Leon was abruptly reminded of his current- situation- and tensed up, taking a hasty step back.

Chris stared at him, clearly lost. “Leon? What’s up, you okay?” he asked, and Leon knew it was a fair question - Chris deserved to know what kind of bullshit Leon had become tangled up in now, if only because Leon wouldn’t want Chris to keep things from him if their roles were reversed.

Leon swallowed, trying to decide how to phrase this. “I’m fine, I just- Elpis had some…weird side effects,” he landed on, a little halting and hesitant.

Chris’s eyes narrowed at that, asking, “Weird how? I thought you said the infection was gone,”

“It is,” Leon assured him, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, wishing he wasn’t so afraid to just spit it out. “It just- changed some stuff in my body,” he said.

“What, did you grow a pussy?” Chris snorted, joking, but Leon froze like a prey animal. Chris’s jaw dropped in disbelief. “You fucking- what?”

Leon was a seasoned soldier, an absolute weapon in the field, and all he wanted was for the floor to open up and swallow him whole so that he didn’t have to watch his husband realize that he had a fucking cunt.

“Leon.” Chris said, meeting his eyes. “Are you- seriously?

“I- yeah,” Leon admitted, exhaling slowly. “I don’t know-”

“Can I see it?” Chris interrupted, and there was something new glimmering in his eyes, something that matched the way he took a step forward, intent on closing the distance that Leon had created. Leon spluttered in surprise and one of Chris’s hands found his waist again, warm and firm and uncompromising. “Please, baby,” he added in a raspy tone, as if Leon wasn’t already fit to implode.

“Chris…” he started weakly, only to be cut off again.

“Come on, Leon. Bet it’s so pretty, hm?” Chris purred, and Leon couldn’t fucking think with the way his hands were moving, massaging the skin right above his sweatpants. The building heat that had dimmed when Leon had pulled away came back in full force, concentrating heavy in his lower belly, not helping in the slightest.

“O-Okay,” he said, embarrassed by the way his voice wavered around the word. “Can we- not do this in the kitchen, though?” he requested, smiling weakly as Chris snorted at that.

“C’mere,” Chris said, tugging Leon to the couch instead, and Leon was a little gratified to see the hints of his husband’s franticity in the way he held Leon just a bit too tight, coming close to tripping over his own feet.

Leon sank into the couch, leaning all the way back, spreading his legs out as he did, and nearly choked on his own spit as Chris sank to his knees in front of Leon. “Lemme see it, baby, please,” Chris murmured, his grin wolfish, sharp and dangerous.

“I don’t know- we can just wait until Rebecca figures out how to fix it,” Leon hedged, half genuinely self-conscious and half teasing his husband, feeling a little bit like he was holding a bone in front of a very large hungry dog.

Chris groaned at the suggestion, laying his head down against Leon’s thigh, looking up at him plaintively. “Why the hell wouldn’t we take advantage of this?” he demanded to know. “I want to see,

Holy shit, Leon felt a little dizzy with the way blood rushed out of his head down between his legs. It had been months since he and his husband had been intimate in nearly any capacity, what with work and Leon’s slowly worsening infection, so being abruptly reminded what it was like to have all six-foot-one of Chris Redfield kneeling at his feet was a heady rush.

Like he could read Leon’s mind, Chris’s grin reappeared, and he slowly dragged his hands up Leon’s thighs until his fingers were hooked under the elastic waistband of his sweats. He tugged down, slow and giving Leon every opportunity to pull away, to stop this like the self-conscious part of him was begging to. But Leon stood his ground and Chris slid his pants and boxers off all at once, eyes fixed on his prize.

Chris discarded the clothes without a second glance, and Leon’s heart stuttered a little as his heavy, warm palms came to settle on his inner thighs, pressing them open gently but firmly, and made a noise like he had been shot in the stomach at the sight waiting for him.

Leon could feel the pounding of his heart deep between his legs, and when he chanced a glance down, he was met with the same visual as last night. Two soft puffy lips were parted, and to his horror, there was a sheen of something wet trickling out from them. Holy shit, his pussy worked?

The slow simmering burn of arousal was so different from what he was used to - it felt even more intense than usual, like it was humming under his skin, pulsing in his cunt. Was that another effect of Elpis, or was that just how it felt with a pussy?

“Holy fuck, Leon,” Chris rasped, pulling Leon from his thoughts. His eyes were wide, and he wet his lips with his tongue while he stared almost unconsciously.

He inched his hands closer slowly, daring to stroke one thumb over the folds, looking enraptured. The contact made Leon’s leg jolt slightly, and he exhaled shakily, all new nerves lighting up.

Chris leaned in, hot breath fanning over Leon for all of a second before his tongue pressed up against his cunt, rough and slick. Leon gasped at the feeling, his hips jumping a little, and he looked down to see Chris’s face buried in between his thighs, eyes shut and looking positively blissed out. His tongue traced up and down Leon in messy stripes before he paused at the top and circled the little bud sitting there.

Jesus, Chris-” Leon choked out, bringing one hand down to sink his fingers into Chris’s hair, trembling a little bit. Chris just hummed, and the vibrations rumbled through Leon’s stomach, making it feel like it had been turned inside out.

Chris’s hands moved to the backs of Leon’s thighs, encouraging them up, making his pussy bulge obscenely between them, and Chris only seemed to press closer, entirely unconcerned with coming up for air.

“F-fuck,” Leon whispered, squirming under Chris’s mouth, unable to sit still with the sheer amount of pleasure racing through his body.

Chris pulled away for a moment, looking up at Leon with dark eyes, his whole fucking chin coated in Leon’s slick, which really should have been embarrassing, but Leon could only manage to feel stupidly turned on by it. “You taste so fucking good,” he said, voice gone husky and reverent.

Leon felt his face go hot at that, but before he had a chance to try and formulate a response to that, Chris just dipped back down, making a downright filthy noise as he sucked against the folds of Leon’s pussy. He pressed his tongue flat against his entrance, where the mess of slick was coming from, before moving up and flicking the pearl of his clit with his tongue.

The sensation was intense in a way he had never experienced before, and Leon was helpless against the way his hips lifted up in little circles, seeking more of the wet, all-encompassing friction that Chris was providing him. He would have felt bad about the way he was grinding up on his husband’s face, but Chris groaned heartily at the feeling and pressed impossibly closer.

“God, Chris- that’s so good,” Leon said shakily, scratching gently at Chris’s scalp with the hand he had buried in his hair. His body was running hot, like his desire was thrumming under his skin, and Leon couldn’t stay put to save his own life - the feeling was so good that he didn’t even know how to handle it.

Chris had latched onto Leon’s clit, sucking on the little bud, swirling his tongue around it and holding Leon’s thighs down, making it impossible for him to do anything but stay pinned to the couch cushions and whine as he drowned in the pleasure. Something was building in his gut, warm and somewhat familiar, coiling tight in his belly. “Chris- baby, I can’t- ‘m gonna-” Leon gasped, suddenly daunted with how big the impending release felt.

His husband didn’t answer other than tightening the hold he had on the backs of Leon’s thighs, still maintaining the same insistent, devastating rhythm of his tongue. Leon let his head fall back, staring at the ceiling and trying to remember how to breathe as he felt the heat in his stomach grow, his pussy fluttering helplessly against Chris’s tongue.

It happened in an instant, and Leon felt as if he was suddenly plummeting off a cliff, his stomach dropping in a way that had him shivering in pleasure as his muscles tightened, the climax sweeping through his entire body, like being struck by lightning. The feeling was immediate and all-consuming, nothing like he had ever felt before. It left him shaky and wrung out but somehow he found himself still wanting more, his cunt clenching on nothing but empty air as slick oozed out of him with each wave of the orgasm.

Chris slowed his assault, and eventually pulled back, his thumb rubbing little circles into the back of Leon’s thigh as he floated back down from the peak. When Leon chanced a look up at Chris, he felt the way his cheeks went a little warm. Chris’s hair was ruffled from Leon’s grabbing, and his lips were swollen from making out with Leon’s cunt. There was slick glistening all over his chin and in his beard, for fuck’s sake.

“You’re a mess,” Leon grumbled, trying to hide how much the visual was affecting him.

Chris grinned at him, using one hand to swipe some of the slick off of his chin and suck it off of his fingers, much to Leon’s embarrassment. “It’s your mess,” he pointed out gleefully. “And I’d be happy to clean you up,”

Leon knew his blush was only getting darker, and he huffed, bringing his knees together to hide the mess of his pussy (and maybe to indulge in the friction of his thighs against the sensitive pearl of his clit). “You’re way too good at that,” he groused instead of addressing Chris’s obvious attempt to get a rise out of him.

“It’s been a while since I’ve done it,” Chris said, still with that smug grin that made Leon just want to kiss him stupid. “Glad to know I’ve still got it,”

His eyes traced down over Leon’s legs, pressed together, down to where Leon was trying and failing to be subtle about grinding them together against his cunt. “You’ve got the prettiest pussy I’ve ever seen, though,” he said, voice lower now.

Leon whined at that, breath catching as Chris leaned closer, running the tip of one finger down Leon’s slit, barely brushing over the folds. “Chris- shit, it’s- sensitive-” he hissed, twitching at the touch.

But, fuck, Chris’s eyes just lit up like it was the best news he had heard all morning. “Yeah? Jesus, Leon, you have no idea how fucking good you sound,” he breathed, and stroked over the pink flushed mess of Leon’s pussy again.

His touch lingered lower this time, tracing around Leon’s entrance, which was still lazily drooling slick drops of arousal. He made a noise that sounded like a rumble of appreciation or maybe amusement as his touch grew heavier, a little more insistent. “You good for it, baby?” he murmured, dark eyes darting up to Leon’s face.

Leon was sure he looked a wreck, positive his cheeks were flushed and his hair was messy, disheveled and a little frizzy now. The slow, searing burn of arousal was still humming under his skin though, so he swallowed down his hesitation and nodded, watching the way Chris’s pupils blew wider at the answer.

Chris was gentle, more than he usually was, slowly pressing his fingertip to the soaked hole, barely breaching it before he pulled it back, and Leon dropped his head back to the cushions again, exhaling shakily as he took in the sensations of being touched in a completely new way. After the third time Chris removed his finger however, Leon groaned quietly, his hips tilting up to chase the intrusion.

Fuck…” Chris breathed, almost too quiet for Leon to catch, and when he lifted his head back up, he felt dizzy with arousal to see that his husband was using his free hand to palm himself, massaging an obvious erection through his sweatpants.

Before Leon could start whining about the teasing in earnest, Chris pressed his finger back up to his cunt, circling the dripping entrance before he pushed it forward, sliding in to the second knuckle. The movement was easy, and Leon wanted to burn up as his pussy made a wet noise as Chris started a slow rhythm of back and forth with the finger.

It was overwhelming and still nowhere near enough, but Leon made a noise from deep in his chest as Chris’s stupidly thick finger pushed into his needy cunt. He clenched around the digit instinctively, and Chris made a punched-out noise, staring in awe at where his finger disappeared in Leon’s body.

“Perfect fuckin’ pussy, Leon, of course you have a perfect pussy- can’t do anything halfway, can you?” he groaned, pulling his finger out slightly to slide it back in, all the way to the base. He had rapidly abandoned his own pleasure, his other hand coming up to rest warm and heavy against Leon’s lower stomach, thumbing over his clit.

The smartass remark on the tip of Leon’s tongue dissolved at that, and all he could manage was a choked kind of whimper. The dual stimulation, so soon after his first orgasm, was nearly devastating and Leon felt that he couldn’t be responsible for the way his hips twitched into his husband’s touch, soft and warm and needy.

Chris’s finger slipped out of Leon for a bereft moment before twice the pressure reappeared at his entrance and Leon moaned as two thick calloused fingers forced his cunt to accommodate them. Chris murmured something quiet and reassuring that Leon couldn’t hear over the pounding in his ears, only able to watch his lips form words that looked like beautiful and so good. All he could focus on was the way Chris moved two fingers inside of him, slow and unrelenting, thumb rubbing against his clit and stoking the fire in the pit of his stomach.

The pace was steady and unhurried, and Chris was watching him hungrily, almost confidently, as if he knew exactly what he was doing to Leon. Fuck, of course he knew, how could he not when Leon couldn’t even sit still, squirming on his fingers and breathing too hard, chasing the sensation-

“Chris- Chris,” Leon groaned, not even sure what he wanted to tell Chris, just needing to say something, to tell him how fucking good it was.

“I know, baby, I know,” Chris breathed, and it was a little consoling to hear him just as affected as Leon was. “You’re so pretty, Leon, so fucking good for me,” he added, rambling a little as he took in the image that Leon could only imagine he made.

Chris was heavy-handed with praise, always had been, but even years of hearing it hadn’t dulled the way that the words made Leon’s stomach swoop, his cheeks heating up. Something about the way he spoke, as if he was the luckiest man in the world just to see Leon, just to have a chance, set his blood aflame.

All of his thoughts about Chris’s tender words were rapidly dispelled as his husband curled his fingers inside of him, the rough pads rubbing against something soft and spongy and so fucking good. Leon’s hips lurched forward and he gasped a little, his head falling back and eyes sliding shut.

“‘S that good? Right there?” Chris rumbled, rubbing up against the same spot on every slow press in. His thumb rolled over Leon’s clit again and again and Leon made a choked noise as he felt the coil in his stomach wind tighter and tighter, threatening to sweep him away in the pleasure.

“Fuck, you’re gonna- make me-,” Leon gasped out, laughing sharply, breathlessly.

Chris made a pleased little noise, leaning closer, and Leon groaned as his second climax crashed over him, his pussy squeezing tight around Chris’s fingers, his release dripping down his thighs and coating Chris’s hand, trickling down his palm to his wrist. His ears were ringing a little as he came back to himself, the white-hot rush of pleasure dissipating slowly.

“Shit, Leon, you’re so-” Chris breathed, and Leon forced his eyes open, sitting up just enough to see his husband’s big brown eyes fixed on him, pupils blown wide and dark. The hand that wasn’t two fingers deep in Leon’s cunt was shoved down his sweatpants, moving unmistakably.

Leon wasn’t really listening, dazed from his orgasm and watching the way Chris was touching himself, trying to recall the last time he had been fucked by his husband, his cunt fluttering in renewed interest. The essentially nonexistent refractory period was almost overwhelming. He hadn’t been this continuously horny since he was a teenager, for fuck’s sake.

He had come twice and his whole body was still thrumming with heat. Leon was used to feeling loose and sated after an orgasm, but these were just winding him tighter and tighter, leaving him feeling almost too good, needy and raring for something more. His cunt squeezed around nothing, clenching on open air, messy and flushed and swollen, and it was impossible not to see the way Chris’s eyes darted down to the soaking pink folds, the way the muscles in his forearm tensed, obviously squeezing his erection in turn.

Maybe he was even imagining how it would feel to be enveloped in that slick heat. Fuck, Leon was thinking about it, trying to imagine the sensation of Chris’s cock sliding up against him, stretching him out and filling this new, needy part of him.

“Are you gonna fuck me, or what?” Leon grumbled, glaring at his husband, although he had a feeling that his annoyance was undermined somewhat by the way his pussy was drooling slick onto the couch cushion below him.

Chris’s eyes went wide, like he wasn’t sure it would be allowed, like he didn’t expect it to be on the table. “Fuck, you want - are you sure?” he asked, even as he fumbled to tug his sweats down, to pull his cock out, fat and heavy, precum dripping down the head as he gripped it tightly.

“Don’t be an idiot,” Leon snapped, eyes caught on his flushed erection, throat gone dry at the sight. “Obviously I want you to fuck me,” he muttered, painfully aware of the way his face was heating up.

Chris groaned at that like he had been gutted, sharp and wanting. “Okay - okay, baby, okay-” he breathed, and he pressed Leon further into the couch, making room for himself between Leon’s legs like he fucking belonged there, and shit, if that didn’t make Leon’s stomach swoop a little. Chris was big all over, broad and built like a tank. If he wanted Leon under him, there was nothing Leon could do about it, not that there was anywhere else he’d rather be.

One of his massive arms came to rest against the cushion next to Leon’s waist, holding his weight up as Chris used his other hand to press his cock up against the drooling slit of his cunt. The contact was electric, and Leon’s hips jolted at the feeling, overstimulated but still wanting moremoremore-

Chris’s cock was hot against him, and Leon wasn’t entirely sure what sort of noise he made as it dragged up and down the length of his pussy, teasing at his entrance and nudging at his clit. “You’re soaked,” Chris marveled, sounding breathless, and Leon was sure he was going to burn up, if not with arousal, then just from embarrassment.

“Shut up, Chris, please-” he tried to say firmly, but his voice broke as Chris’s hips rolled forward again, the tip of his cock catching on Leon’s clit , and the words came out as more of a breathless whimper.

“I gotcha baby, don’t worry,” Chris murmured, his voice a little husky, laced with something hungry. “Such a pretty pussy, Leon, you’re driving me crazy,” he whispered.

Chris pressed his cock up against Leon’s entrance and pressed forward, slow and soft. His cock sank into Leon like a hot knife cutting into butter, slick and wet and so fucking easy. Leon gasped helplessly at the insistent stretch of his cock sliding home in one motion, but Chris was louder, making a noise like he had been shot, eyes squeezing shut for a second.

“Holy fuck, baby- Leon,” he stuttered, stomach visibly tense. “You feel- goddamn, baby,” he settled on, opening his eyes again to stare down at Leon. Leon couldn’t string a fucking sentence together, entirely too consumed by the way that Chris was filling him, thick and unyielding, but a frisson of heat rippled through him at the way Chris was fumbling over his words, just as affected as he was.

He shifted in place, squirming against the couch as he tried to adjust to the sensation, and Chris groaned, pulling back a few inches before sliding forwards again, grinding in slow this time, hips flush to the backs of Leon’s thighs. He was so deep like this, Leon could swear he felt it in his stomach, sparks shooting up his spine, making his toes curl as the breath was pressed out of him. His eyes were wet, reflexive tears burning at the sensation, and he couldn’t catch a full breath with the way Chris was grinding his hips in lazy circles, taking up all the room in his body.

“Taking it so good, baby,” Chris said, sounding awed. Leon moaned shakily at the praise, and Chris hooked his arm under one of Leon’s legs, pressing it to his chest, effectively folding him in half to get an even deeper angle.

“Jesus- fuck, Chris, I’m not twenty,” Leon gasped at the new position, but Chris just grinned, sharp and knowing and a little sadistic, only pressing down harder.

“You’re so flexible, though,” he said, tone dripping with faux innocence before adding, “And I felt you get even tighter around me,”

Before Leon could even defend the way that his cunt clenched at the manhandling, Chris pulled out halfway and drove himself back in with a grunt, and Leon’s blood went hot at the feeling. Chris built up a slow, steady rhythm, fucking Leon like he was planning on doing it for hours, his pace deep and unwavering.

Leon’s pulse was skittering, his heart slamming against his ribs like it was trying to escape, and he wanted to sob at how fucking good it was. The relentless slide of Chris’s cock was addicting, and his cunt was making humiliatingly wet noises on every push in, slick oozing out of him and dripping down his ass to the couch cushion that might just need to be burned after this. Every thrust rubbed up against something that was turning Leon’s stomach inside out, leaving him shivery with pleasure.

“Chris-” he whined, and Chris swooped in, leaning down to capture Leon in a filthy kiss that was all spit and teeth, his tongue slipping into Leon’s mouth like he wanted to taste the desperation that Leon was trembling with.

“So good, Leon, so fucking perfect,” he murmured when they were finally forced to part for air, his rhythm unfaltering. “Best pussy I’ve ever had,” he said, because he couldn’t resist teasing his husband, not even when he was spread out underneath him.

Leon laughed breathlessly at that, but the sound was sharp and a little strangled as Chris pressed a hot open-mouthed kiss to the underside of his jaw, sucking at the skin there. The heat in his gut was burning bright, white-hot and malleable like molten steel, amplified by the feeling of Chris’s massive body caging Leon in, pressing him into the couch and fucking him with strong steady strokes.

The arm that he wasn’t using to pin Leon’s legs up to his chest snaked into the hot sticky space between their bodies, and Chris nipped at Leon’s jugular as his rough fingertips found the swollen pearl of his clit.

Leon keened at the feeling, his hips rolling into Chris’s body, meeting him at every thrust as his head fell back. Chris groaned against Leon’s neck, attacking it all the more fervently now that Leon had exposed the stretch of creamy unmarked skin, laced with the barely visible white scarring from Elpis.

He rubbed rough circles against Leon’s clit, and watched hungrily as Leon squirmed under the touch, hips pushing into the stimulation as his skin flushed pink. “Want you to cum for me,” he breathed, not letting up for an instant. “Cum on my cock, baby, please,” Chris whispered, transfixed with the way Leon was moving under him like a fucking wet dream, all rosy skin and choked whimpers and warm, slick heat.

Leon’s world narrowed down to the blinding pleasure burning through his body, before it all went off like a hand grenade, instant and devastating. His stomach dropped and the heat in his gut went supernova, ecstasy racing through his body as he came hard. He was vaguely aware of wetness coating his inner thighs, splattering against Chris. Blood was rushing in his ears, and he could barely hear the sounds he was making over it, wrecked and downright sinful.

Finally the sensations started to ebb away, and Leon became aware of the way that Chris was fucking him, his steady measured pace abandoned in favor of hard sharp thrusts that were messy and desperate. “...so good, Leon, love you so much baby, fuck-” Chris was babbling as Leon’s hearing returned. One of his hands was resting against Leon’s belly, and Leon grabbed it, interlacing their fingers and squeezing, trying to convey everything that he couldn’t put into words.

Chris groaned, squeezing back and his thrusts faltered from one moment to the next before Leon felt warmth spreading in him, some oozing out of the space around Chris’s cock. “Fuck,” Chris breathed heavily, his hips lazily rolling through the aftershocks of his orgasm before slowing to a stop, dropping his body on top of Leon with a winded noise.

Leon sank his fingers into Chris’s hair, rubbing absently at his scalp as both of them caught their breath together, reveling in the intimacy of being so close after so long. Chris’s breath was warm against Leon’s neck, one heavy arm slung over his waist, grounding and so tangibly safe that it was twisting Leon’s heart.

He only lasted a few more moments, though, before he grinned and said, “Best pussy you’ve ever had, huh?”

Chris snorted sharply at that and pushed himself up, sliding out of Leon gingerly and making them both hiss slightly at the feeling, before he replied, “Damn straight. Maybe we should tell Rebecca not to worry about fixing anything,”

Leon laughed at that, stretching his legs out finally, letting his muscles uncramp from the position Chris had folded him into. “You’d miss my dick too much,”

“Yeah, I would,” Chris admitted easily, sinking down into the couch next to Leon, tugging him close. “I’ve already been missing it for months,”

“Maybe next time it can be your turn with a magic pussy,” Leon suggested lightly, resting his head against Chris’s shoulder.

“Maybe,” Chris laughed, pressing a sweet little kiss to Leon’s forehead, sounding delighted by the idea.

Leon’s mind wandered to the image of his husband, thick and powerful, all defined muscles and broad shoulders, spreading his legs to reveal a soft, wet, pink-

Maybe, indeed.
