Work Text:
The act of bringing one's partner to the height of pleasure is a chore for some…
Her arms are tight around me as her heavy breath heats my neck.
…but to others it's an act of reverence for someone they love more than anything.
I gently peel myself from her embrace and trail my way down, getting on my knees like I'm readying myself for a morning prayer.
I fall into the latter category.
Her hands are in my hair as I sling her right leg over my shoulder, gripping her soft thigh.
I love to hear her unaltered name from my lips - Celeste.
Her fingers curl tightly, tugging, nails grazing my scalp, and she sighs as my mouth meets her eagerly.
I love to hear my pet name from hers - Ath.
I taste her with a long stroke of the warm, wide, flat of my tongue. A gentle suck.
Prayers between and to only each other.
I gleefully lap her up. Salt and musk, faint notes of her bitter late night coffee and sweetness from the sun grown apricots I picked myself the morning prior.
Our secret religion built on years of clear denial smothered in loyalty that always meant more.
Her quickening, soft, whimpery moans are like a hymn to my ears. Her hips softly buck in my grip.
We once lied to ourselves that we'd simply connected.
I steady her as she reaches her peak, her standing leg softly buckling as she tips over the edge for me.
But we never connected, we became one far before we were honest with ourselves that we had. Working in tandem even when we were displeased with each other.
She's trapped by my gaze as I lick the trophy of my efforts from my lips, wiping my chin with the back of my hand and licking that clean too. The flush of embarrassment and release over her skin spikes my veins with pride.
It led to a spark that turned into a years-long smoulder.
I stand and hoist her up into my arms bridal style and take her to the bed, dropping her unceremoniously as she laughs and drags me down with her. Limbs mingle, skin slippery with dewey summer sweat.
A years-long smoulder that turned into a raging fire.
She infuses every press of her lips to my skin with "I love you."
A raging fire that nearly turned to ash.
She imbues every gesture with "I always have."
