Work Text:
Callum stood nervously at the door, it had been fourteen days since him and Madison broke up. Usually he wasn't the type of guy to get so attached to what some may call, "A fling". But really he couldn't help it. Madison was something special, even if he had trouble admitting that.
He hesitated for a moment before ringing the door bell, in an instant the door was opened by a black haired girl, Madison. "Did she expect me?" Callum thought to himself because saying hello. Madison stared him down for a quick moment before opening the door to let him in. Callum always liked Madisons apartment, it was cozy and charming. Madison gestured for him to sit down on the couch opposite of her. "Nice seeing you here" she says in a saracist tone.
Callum fumbles with his words before replying "I know this is a bit unexpected but I really needed to talk to you." Madison nods so Callum continues to speak. "Firstly I wanted to apologize to you. When I first met you I was too overwhelmed by you to even consider the problems that would come from us dating." he pauses for a second, "over the past 2 months I've come to realize that you are an amazing women and that our breakup was really nobody's fault." Madison processes what Callum said to her. "Okay, yeah I get it. Maybe some people just aren't compatible." Callum gives up a small smile, "Maybe we could remain friends?". "Yeah I'd like that" Madison replies with an expression that's hard to read.
"Alright we'll see you at Cassandras baby shower" Callum and Madison both stand up. She guides him to the door "Yep. See you then."
Callum leaves the apartment relieved.
