Chapter Text
Katsuki adjusted his glasses, bouncing his foot as he finished with the last of his papers to grade. He sighed, adding them to the stack with the red pen marks, leaning back in his chair. His back cracked at the movement and he groaned, dropping his arms by his side.
"Fucking finally." He muttered, too exhausted to even drag his hands down his face. His kids- well not his kids, but the kids he watched 8 hours a day five days a week- they were exhausting. Especially on Friday's when all he could do was think of his nice warm club waiting for him.
"Bakugou-Sensei?" A small voice said and Katsuki shot up in his seat, making eye contact with the small black haired child still in his seat. "My Eji says fuck is a bad word!" He yelled, his hand waving in the air frantically.
Katsuki stared at him, his eyes narrowing. "Chikara." Katsuki said slowly, realization dawning on him. "Your Eji is right. It is a bad word." He said slowly, standing up from his desk. It wasn't the weirdest name he heard a parent be called. And Chikara was still fairly new. "I shouldn't have used it."
Chikara nodded, grinning up at Katsuki as he moved to kneel by the boy. "My Eji is really smart! Shit is also a bad word!"
Katsuki glanced down, resisting the urge to look at the kid's face. First rule of kids: if you laugh at their bad behavior, it continues. And he was already struggling not to laugh at the 4 year old's pronunciation of swear words.
He grabbed his bag instead, rifling through the mess of papers and crayons, a smashed sandwich that Katsuki knew had been sent back two days prior. "Do you know where your Eji is, Chikara?" He asked, frowning as he took the bag to the trash.
He dropped the sandwich inside before he zipped the bag back up. "That was my sandwich!" Chikara yelled, going to grab it out.
Katsuki grabbed the kid's hand gently, spinning him around himself. "Hold up there, Chikara!" He yelled, spinning more before he let the wobbly child go, the sandwich forgotten about. "Want some fruit snacks? I have a pack just for you!"
By the time Chikara managed to walk in a straight line, his face lit up in a large smile, Katsuki already had the pack out, holding it for the kid. "I wanna open it!" He yelled, snatching it quickly.
"I know." Katsuki said, ruffling his hair. He took his glasses off, dropping them onto the table. "Did your Eji say he might be late today?" Katsuki asked, leaning back against the desk as Chikara struggled to open the pack.
He was ready when he thrust it at him, a deep scowl on his face. "Open it!" He yelled as if he hadn't just wanted to do it himself.
Katsuki huffed, taking the package and tearing into it. After a few moments of him happily eating them in silence, Katsuki finally sighed. "Alright. Let's head up to the office and see if we can call him. Now that it's- 30 minutes past pick up."
Chikara nodded and Katsuki grabbed the bag as a small hand gripped his pant leg. He set a hand on the kid's hair, frowning as he felt the knots in it. He could be understanding. Children didn't listen and mornings were hard. However, this wasn't the first time Katsuki had noticed red flags.
"Does Eji do your hair?" Katsuki asked, fighting to keep the anger from his voice.
Chikara nodded, nibbling on the last fruit snack. "Yep! He says its so thick!"
Katsuki nodded, biting his cheek as they continued through the deserted halls. Their school wasn't big by any means, his kindergarten class one of only two. Only because his admin weren't pieces of shit and understood that 30 5 year olds was not doable to one teacher. The other grades were- less lucky.
Katsuki had no doubt it was because it was him in the kindergarten rooms. Hitoshi never told him no after he had maybe accidentally broken the printer in his frustration at a kid being denied the proper testing for an IEP.
He paused as he reached the front office doors, a man with longer black catching his eye. Chikara saw it a moment later, his eyes going wide. "Eji!" He screamed, running full force at the man jogging up to them.
The man scooped Chikara up easily, throwing him into the air as he laughed. The fruit snacks wrapper dropped from his hand and Katsuki snatched it from the air, shoving it into his pocket. "Kirishima." Katsuki said softly, fighting away the anger he felt, his gaze narrowed at the man.
The father, Kirishima, paused, holding Chikara against his hip. "Bakugou-Sensei! I'm so sorry!" The man said, rushing over. Chikara wrapped his arms around his neck, grinning at Katsuki.
"You're 30 minutes late, again. Chikara's only been enrolled for a month and this is your fifth time." He said, crossing his arms. "We need to have a serious meeting."
Panic flashed across the man's face as Katsuki glared at him. Chikara wiggled slightly and Katsuki sighed, dropping the kid's bag from off of his arm. "Uh- I can- yeah. When do you want to?" Kirishima asked, his voice panicked.
"You free tomorrow? We need to solve this issue now." He stated, handing the bag over to Chikara who hung off of his father's hip to grab it.
Kirishima nodded, running a hand through his hair. Katsuki could see specks of red on the roots before they were covered by the black again. "Yeah. I can make that work. Sure man." He said, bouncing Chikara as he laughed. "I want to say sorry again. Time is just getting away from me and it's- I know its the middle of the school year and all so thank you for accepting him so late. Really, dude."
Katsuki resisted the urge to sneer at the "dude", focusing instead on Chikara. "Make sure there's no old food in his bag again. It will start to smell."
Kirishima's eyes went wide and he nodded, glancing over at the bag. "Yeah right. Course. Man, where's my head at?" He laughed like it was some joke, something Katsuki did not find funny.
Before he could voice his annoyance though, Chikara spoke up, leaning back in his father's arms. "Bakugou-sensei said a no no word today." He declared loudly and Katsuki's gaze shot to him. "He said-"
"Alright!" Katsuki said loudly, cutting off the rest of his sentence. "Tomorrow at noon in my classroom. Gates are open till 2 for meetings. Don't be late this time." He said sharply.
Kirishima sighed, nodding quickly. "Course! I'll see you tomorrow then, Bakugou!" He yelled, dropping the sensei, already scrambling off with his kid.
Katsuki watched the black hair disappear around a corner before he groaned, dropping to rest on the steps to the office. "Fu- fudge." He quickly corrected himself, too tired to see if there were any more kids who shouldn't be there.
The door opened behind him, cold air rushing at his back. "You're in the way, Kats." Kyoka said, tapping a knuckle against his head.
"Fuck off." He snapped, twisting to smack at the music teachers hand. She was faster though, already down the steps in two bounds. "I'm going to murder that dad. Who the fuck forgets about their kid for 30 minutes over 5 times?! Especially one as sweet as Chikara!"
Kyoka paused at the bottom, putting her hands on her hips. "You look like you need a drink. I have to go clean up my room, then I'm heading out."
Katsuki looked up at her, glowering at the stupid headphones she always kept draped round her neck. He'd warned her before that some kid was going to break them. "I have a meeting with him tomorrow. I can't get fucking hammered."
Kyoka laughed, shrugging slightly. "Sounds like a you problem. See you in an hour." She nodded, walking away. "You're driving!" She yelled over her shoulder when she was far enough away Katsuki couldn't reach her.
He flipped her off instead, before shoving himself to his feet. The kids, he loved. The parents, they could all go burn in a hole.
"What happened to not getting hammered tonight?" Kyoka asked, laughing as Katsuki tossed back another shot.
He ignored her, staring down his opponent. The kid who had decided to challenge him already looked ready to pass out, his head lolling forward as he grabbed for the next one. "Man, just call it quits." One of their friends said, smacking their shoulder.
The kid took a moment to right himself as Katsuki grabbed for his. He tossed it back quickly, slamming it back down as he licked his lips. "You should listen to them." Katsuki said, his eyes narrowing. "I'm just getting started." He teased, leaning forward onto his hands.
The kid went to grab the next one but missed the glass, their eyes glossing over. "Alright! I'm calling you!" The bartender yelled, grabbing the shot and sliding it over to Katsuki.
He grinned, downing that one as well with a satisfied grin. "C'mon man. Pay up." The kid's friend grumbled, hitting him on the shoulder.
"You have to stop taking advantage of the poor teenagers who wanders in." The bartender said, shaking his head as the kid forked over the money.
Katsuki shrugged, leaning back in his chair. "Not my fucking fault they all underestimate me." He said with a shrug, grinning at Kyoka's annoyed expression. "Fastest way to get drunk and get it all free." He said and his coworker laughed slightly, sipping her drink.
"So, this kid-"
"No work talk." Katsuki said harshly, glaring at her. "I'm not a kindergarten teacher right now. I'm a bar goer who just wants to get fucked up."
Kyoka hummed. "Thought you were going to say you wanted to get laid."
Katsuki grinned, shrugging. "One can hope."
Before she could say anything else, her eyes lit up. Katsuki followed her gaze to the waitress, rushing around with a tray under one arm and a menu under the other. "Don't flirt with the workers." Katsuki grumbled and Kyoka shot him a glare.
"If you can trick teenagers out of their money, I can flirt with the hot woman." She chided before she grinned. "Isn't your show about to start?"
The lights dropped suddenly and Katsuki spun around, his eyes finding the largest stage. "Who's on?" He asked, turning to the bartender.
"Same one every Friday night, Bakugou." He yelled, waving his hand as he rushed away for someone else.
"Have fun flirting." Katsuki said, quickly dipping out of his chair.
Kyoka yelled something after him but he ignored her, pushing to the front of the crowd starting to gather. It was bigger than last week's, growing every time he was back. "Move." He said harshly and someone ducked out of his way.
He slid into an open spot at the front, leaning on the wall as the music started. Usually he would have been here sooner for the seats, but the kid had held out longer than he had thought he would. Which meant now he had to be content by the wall as someone came from behind the curtain.
Cheers started up as the dancers moved out, their hips swaying in their outfits. Different shaped masks shifting around each other. He ignored them, scanning the crowd before his eyes settled on the final one, the heart mask over his face. He danced as he walked, an easy and relaxed smile painting his face.
Katsuki whistled along with everyone else, watching as he grabbed the nearest other dancer, facing each other as they body rolled in time with the music. It was a new routine this time and Katsuki leaned forward slightly to get a better look.
The one he couldn't stop staring at bent backwards, holding the wrist of the other dancer to stay up. Katsuki whistled lower and the man's eyes found his, a large grin painting his face. Katsuki held up his bill, before he tossed it forward onto the stage. The redhead spun around his partner, grinding on each others legs as the audience cheered.
Katsuki licked at his lips, watching the leather corset top caught on the light, shimmering like stardust. Long red sleeves were attached, leaving a large heart motif to show off the man's pecs and defined v-line that the corset pushed. It led down into a deep v-cut crotch on the pants, the man's ass and thighs perfectly shaped by them.
He finally pushed away from his dance partner, grinning wildly as he suddenly dropped, eliciting cheers as they all pressed their hips against the floor, bouncing in time with the song. "Take them off!" Someone yelled from beside him but Katsuki it no mind.
He watched, transfixed as the redhead, sat up onto his knees, leaning back to grind at the air. His breath only came back when the redhead made his way to the opposite side of the stage, far away from where Katsuki could reasonably see.
Still, even his ass from this angle had Katsuki watching. It wasn't the body. Well- it was. But the other dancers had equally as fit bodies. The redhead had something more though. A delight to be up there that made Katsuki want to see more.
He threw more bills onstage, grinning as the redhead made his way back around. He bent down dramatically, his ass stretching the pants as he picked up the money to shove it into the heart window. "Don't go anywhere." He said, his eyes dancing in the bright lights.
Katsuki grinned, nodding as he danced away, grabbing his partner again, dropping down around a pole together, their faces brushing past each other, moving in perfect harmony. Katsuki might feel jealous if it wasn't for the fact this was their job and the redhead wasn't just his. Plus, his yellow haired dance partner hadn't been able to look away from the purple haired man in a seat across the way, his face obscured by the dark lights.
The dancers dropped off the stage, all except for his redhead and the yellow haired one who moved to the two poles on the main stage. The others all either moved through the crowd or to the poles on either side of the room. Katsuki took a chair as soon as one opened, leaning forward to watch the man.
The mask on his face never moved, the curves of the heart mask moving from his forehead to a point on his chin. Only the eyes were cut out, letting Katsuki catch glimpses of the red makeup beneath the red mask. The sharp point made it easy to see the man's smile though as he grabbed at his pole before he dropped down on beat, his hands above his head.
Cheers and whistles shot through the crowd and Katsuki jumped before he joined in. He took the moment to look around, realizing all the other dancers were in the same pose. Which meant their joint dance was over now.
"Welcome back." A voice said from in front of him and he turned back to find those red eyes staring out at him from under the mask. "Miss me this week?"
Katsuki grinned, nodding. "Always, Red. Your show is the highlight of my week."
He laughed, the sound sweet. "Glad I have such a loyal fan in you, blasty." He said, Katsuki's nickname rolling off his tongue. He had gotten it after one too many yelling matches. "See you after my sets." He cooed before music started up again.
Katsuki leaned back in his chair, content to watch Red Riot work. He twisted around the pole with ease, holding his body up in positions that made his muscles bulge and sweat glisten on his sparkly skin.
Every few minutes he'd pause to tease at his audience, his fingers twisting in the waistband of his pants, revealing more before he'd pull them back up. Every time Katsuki slipped a dollar onto the stage he played at his corset front laces, undoing them painfully slow before he went back to his dance.
By the end of his second song, his shirt was off, just the sleeves and a thin leather band covering his nipples left, the money he had collected shoved into it. Katsuki grinned, holding up a bill instead of sliding it forward this time.
Red Riot grinned, dropping to his knees to crawl towards Katsuki. He stood to reach the man better, sliding the money into his waistband as he leaned back on his knees. "Like seeing me here?" He teased and Katsuki grinned.
"Over here, heart!" Someone yelled and Katsuki glared at him.
Red Riot laughed goodheartedly, sliding his body forward before he nodded softly at Katsuki. Katsuki sighed, taking the man's hand and helping him drop from the stage. "My hero." He cooed, his finger running along Katsuki's chest before he headed for the man with his money raised.
Katsuki dropped into the chair again, watching as Red Riot straddled the man with the money, his hips working slowly as he continued to move his exposed upper body. The man slid the money into his mouth and Katsuki grimaced in disgust as Red Riot pulled it from his mouth with his lips, before he took the bill with his own hands.
"If you want a more private one, find me after." He said, before he was back at it, dancing between people.
Katsuki watched him go, his body moving in tome as he twirled around someone, trailing a hand over their shoulder before he made it back down the line.
He made it back to Katsuki, his sleeves off now, leaving just the leather band around his torso. He grinned, straddling over Katsuki's lap, shoving him back against the chair. He trailed the hand up Katsuki's chest, undoing another button on his shirt, messing with the mesh undershirt Katsuki wore.
He ran his fingers through Katsuki's hair, pulling his head back slightly. "Same time next week?" He asked with a smile and Katsuki could only nod, his eyes locked on the little bit of the man's face he could see.
Then he was off again, to others yelling for his attention.
Katsuki watched it all, tampering down the jealously the threatened his thoughts. It was all a job to Red Riot. Katsuki wasn't dumb to think he was more than the person who had gotten the lap dance.
Still- he was a sucker for it. He'd be back next week at the same time. And he'd stick around as long as he could tonight to watch the man move.
He sat there until the program ended, a dancer with a star mask taking his spot on the stage. "Your drink." The waitress said, handing over one. "Your friend bought it." She said with a smile before she was off again.
He turned around and Kyoka waved, taking a drink of her own. He sighed, nodding at her slightly before she headed for the door. He'd be fine for tomorrow's meeting with the fucking parent.
His grip on the glass tightened and he stood up, taking a big drink before he headed for chairs further away. If he was lucky, Red Riot might make his way through the crowd. If he wasn't already booked out for private dances as he tended to be.
Ejirou twisted his hands on his bag strap, his shoulders tucked up in his large hoodie. The collar brushed against a bruise he had gotten last night and he groaned, rolling his neck to get rid of the feeling. He was going to kill Denki for actually giving him the hickey.
Like sure, it was what had been paid for but it was not something he wanted to be forced to hide from his younger brother's kindergarten teacher. Especially since it was already obvious the man's disdain for him. "You got this." He muttered to himself before he pushed his bag further on his shoulder, tucking his hair back into the bun.
He knocked gently on the door, jumping as it slid open without much effort. "Bakugou-sensei." Ejirou said, bowing slightly. "I know I'm a little late but-"
"Come in." He said, his voice hoarse as he waved a hand, not even bothering to look up at Ejirou.
Ejirou quickly rushed in, shutting the door behind him. "I got caught up in some traffic and-"
"Sit." He said, gesturing to the chair across the desk from him.
Ejirou did so, dropping his bag to his feet. He was grateful the man seemed to accept his excuse at least. It was easier than having to explain he had been at work till 5 in the morning and had barely remembered to drop Chikara at the neighbor's apartment after his alarm didn't go off. So he was now fifteen minutes late to a meeting about being late.
"Listen," Ejirou stared to say before the man finally glanced up.
He wore a black sweater, white cuffs and a collar. It was decorated with pins though and small hand prints covered anywhere the pins didn't. His red eyes peered from over the top of his glasses, his lip curled in disgust he couldn't hide. Ejirou leaned back into his chair, the words he wanted to say going dry in his mouth.
After a moment, the teacher sighed, taking the glasses off. "Surely you know what this is about." He said, setting the glasses to the side. Ejirou shook his head, not trusting his voice at the glare. "Chikara can't keep showing up late and leaving even later. I don't know if you're aware but I have a life outside being your son's teacher."
"Brother." Ejirou said quickly, regretting it when the man's eyebrow raised. "Chikara is my brother."
This seemed to shock the teacher who sat up slightly, his eyes narrowing. "Sorry." He said after a moment, clearing his throat. "Are you his primary caretaker?"
Ejirou nodded. "I am. That's uh- that'd why he transferred in so late. It was kind of an emergency thing. I'm still trying to get it all figured out with my work- well not that I work- I do overnight stuff- stocking-" He fumbled over his words before he gave up and just went quiet.
Bakugou raised an eyebrow before he nodded slowly. "Chikara needs to become a bigger priority for you however. I understand it can be hard to juggle but he's missing out on class time because of you. He hasn't formed any bonds with the other kids."
Ejirou sunk into his chair, nodding. Chikara never talked about school at the apartment, except for his teacher who he kept wanting to invite over. He had to admit it was nice to see the man care so much but it didn't make it feel better. "I'm trying. I am. My neighbor is watching him now but she's elderly and can't often."
Bakugou huffed, looking back down at his papers. He dropped his head into one hand, rubbing at his temples as he squinted to read the paper. "His lunches. Have you looked into the free and reduced program?" He finally asked, glancing back up.
Ejirou slowly shook his head. "No. I'm sorry. I barely managed to figure out how to get him into the classes and even then it took me a few months." He stomach sunk at the thought of this man being disappointed in him. He might have only known the teacher for a month through limited interaction but Chikara loved him.
He felt the man studying him for a second before he groaned, trailing a hand down his face. "Heres the deal." He said, sitting up. "If I offer you a deal here, you need to take it. Its the only one I can give you and if you don't, you will be facing child neglect charges due to truancy. Is that fu- clear?" He stumbled over the last word but his gaze remained steady.
"Yes." Ejirou said quickly, nodding. "Yes, sir." He said it more out of habit at the tone of the teachers voice but his eyebrow raised slightly before his expression went back to the furrowed brows and small scowl.
"I've look at your record. You live 20 minutes from school. I live about 20 minutes further than you." Ejirou leaned forward as he realized the seriousness of what the man said. "If you can have Chikara ready to go by six in the morning, I can pick him up. I can also take him to my place if you're running late."
Ejirou shoulders relaxed slightly. "I would-"
"If-" Bakugou continued and Ejirou nodded. "He is fully ready. No moldy sandwiches in his bag and his hair needs to be clean. No one wants to play with the kid that smells."
Ejirou nodded, biting his lip. He didn't realize how much went into raising a kid. He had just assumed Chikara would take showers as Ejirou caught up on his sleep. What little of it he got.
"Can you do that?" Bakugou asked, his gaze piercing.
Ejirou nodded before he laughed slightly. "Yeah. Yeah, I can do that."
Something flickered across Bakugou's face but it was gone just as fast, replaced by a small smile that somehow looked perfect on the man who had been scowling this entire time. "Good. I'll see you Monday morning then."
Katsuki groaned, rolling over to face plant into his pillow. His head was pounding and it was all he could do to not silence the stupid fucking alarm blasting right by his head. "Remind me again why I wanted to be a teacher?" He grumbled into the pillow.
No one responded which was for the best. If anyone responded when his apartment was meant to be empty, he would be in jail for manslaughter. Instead, he was forced to drag himself from the bed, fumbling for his glasses on the nightstand table.
Technically, he needed them for everything yet he usually only wore them for reading. His dad's crummy eyesight had rubbed off on him. He stumbled over the entrance to his room, his foot catching on a wriggling lump. "You mother fucker!" He yelled, catching himself as he hit the opposite wall, his glasses still clenched in his fist.
"Gem." He grumbled, turning around. The little wiener dog stared at him, her tail spinning in almost full circles as she looked up at him. "What the fuck are you doing out of bed?" He asked, putting the glasses on so he could lean down.
He scooped the dog up with one hand, her body shaking violently with her tail. She licked at his face and he grumbled, holding her up above his head as he headed for the bathroom. She tried to wiggle free as he dipped her under the doorway, dropping her on the top shelf.
He got halfway through brushing his teeth before the fucker bounced off the shelf, heading like a missile for his face. He dropped the toothbrush, snatching the devil from the air. "You're going in air jail." He mumbled, tucking her under his arm as he finished brushing his teeth, combing his hands through his hair.
By the time he had finished, she had already wiggled her way down, barely held in his grasp. "Okay. Let's go out." He mumbled, setting her down.
She bolted for the door, and Katsuki followed, rubbing his neck as he sighed. His ac still wasn't working and the damn fans weren't helping. He just felt nasty which made the fact he had to actually look presentable before he got to school so much harder.
Katsuki clipped the pink leash onto her, cracking open the door. Gem darted forward, tugging on the leash as Katsuki draped it over his wrist. He ignored her, locking the door before he followed her downstairs, yawning slightly.
His phone buzzed in his pocket as he reached the small dog park, and he unclipped Gem before he turned it on, watching it slowly light up. "Piece of shit." He muttered, tapping it against his palm before it lit up fully.
"Deku" flashed across the screen and he scowled, debating ignoring it before he actually opened it.
"Mom wants you to bring a date this time."
"No more excuses."
Katsuki's nose wrinkled up before he sent back the middle finger emote, shoving the phone in his pocket. Auntie meant well but she was being over bearing and annoying. So what if he hadn't ever had a serious date before. He had a good job and he liked what he did. His mom had no issues with it.
Well-
He groaned, shaking his head before he clicked his tongue. "C'mon, Gem." He muttered tapping his hip. The little brat just watched him before she raced to the other side of the park, ducking into the tunnels. "Brat." He mumbled, already crossing the park to grab her.
He had too much to do to bother being late.
~~~
The apartment was nothing special. Tucked into the second story, one of four doors on the landing. The only thing that really told him it was the right on was the large "Kirishima" plastered on a sign in blue paint. Not the color he would have expected from the family.
He adjusted his outfit, pushing his glasses up on his nose, too lazy to have put in his contacts yet. He'd do it at school. He knocked gently, before he stepped back, shifting his computer bag on his shoulder.
The door opened quickly, Chikara standing with a big smile. His hair was dripping wet, his uniform messily adjusted, tie just slung over his shoulders. Katsuki sighed, glancing down at his watch before he looked back up. "Your brother here?"
"Eji!" Chikara yelled, bouncing on his toes. "Bakugou Sensei is here!" He grabbed Katsuki's hand and Katsuki let himself be dragged into the apartment, nudging the door shut with his foot.
It slammed right as the man appeared from around the corner, drenched in water. His too tight white shirt clung too his muscles, leaving nothing to the imagination with how wet it was. The small ass booty shorts didn't help the fact that Katsuki now couldn't look away.
Not until the man laughed and broke the silence. "Hey! Sorry man! Was trying to dry his hair when you knocked!" Kirishima said with a laugh, running his hand through his hair that was sticking in every direction.
Chikara grinned up at Katsuki, still holding his hand tight. "Want to see the kitchen?" He asked, dragging Katsuki forward before he could answer.
He followed the boy, glancing back at Kirishima who's face grew flustered as he followed. The kitchen was- for lack of a better word- an absolute shit show. Peanut butter sat open on the counter, a squeeze bottle of jelly laying flat on the surface, dripping grape jelly. The bread was slightly smushed in the bag, sitting beside an empty bag of dino chicken nuggets.
"Sorry!" Kirishima said, squeezing past him and Chikara to grab at the mess. "I got home late and tried to make lunch for him but I burned the nuggets and the bread got squished in the shopping cart and-"
"It's fine." Katsuki said, adjusting his bag.
Kirishima sighed, shaking his head as he leaned over the counter to grab a half empty water bottle. Katsuki choked slightly at the red "Bite Me" plastered on the man's bottoms, his ass barely contained by the fabric.
"Are you okay, Bakugou Sensei?" Chikara asked, pulling his arm.
Katsuki nodded, turning away from the kid so he could regain his bearings. This was his student's guardian. Sure the situation was a bit out there but his work came first. Especially in this case where there were concerns for the kid.
"Fine." He said, coughing into his arm. "Kirishima, where's a towel? I can get Chikara's hair dried and styled before we head out if you can focus on the lunch?"
Kirishima stood up, his ass literally falling out of the pants. "Oh yeah! Chikara can show you where they are!" He grinned, laughing slightly. "Sorry I'm such a mess! I got to head to work once you guys head out! Had to pick up an earlier shift as well."
Katsuki did his best to hide his scowl, setting his bag by the counter. "C'mon, Chikara. Why don't you let me finish getting you ready?"
Chikara was already sprinting down a hallway, leaving Katuski to follow behind. He paused suddenly, turning back to look at Kirishima in the kitchen. His head was down, held in his hands as he let out a small shaky breath before he looked back up, matching Katsuki's gaze.
He smiled, the exhaustion washing off his face quickly. "I'll have him ready to go every morning! Promise!" He said with a small laugh and Katsuki just nodded back before Chikara appeared, handing him a towel.
Katsuki went back to the living room, ruffling Chikara's hair with the towel until he got it to stop dripping. He re buttoned his shirt, tying his tie before he flattened the collar against his shirt, straightening it all out.
Chikara had a large grin, bouncing on his heels before he jumped at Katsuki, tackling him on the couch. Katsuki groaned, collapsing back onto the couch as Chikara grabbed a pillow, setting it on Katsuki so he could lay on him.
After a moment, Katsuki phone vibrated in his pocket and he sighed, grabbing and tossing Chikara onto the couch so he could stand up. "I don't have any major plans tonight, so as long as you keep me updated, I can keep him in my classroom." He said, doing his best to switch back into professional mode. Which was always hard when his kids wanted to just play with him.
Kirishima nodded, shoving an apple along with the Tupperware into a bag. "Yeah. Yes please!" He nodded. "I'll keep you updated! Is uh- is email best or-"
Katsuki handed him a piece of paper and the larger man took it with wide eyes, scanning over it as if it was treasure. "Just text me. I don't check my email all that often."
Kirishima nodded, tucking the paper into his hand. Which was probably for the best since his shirt was still wet and showing everything. Shit the man was toned. Whatever he did for a living, it was working for him.
Katsuki tore his eyes away, taking Chikara's hand. "Want to help me set up the activity today?" He asked and Chikara quickly nodded, threading his hand into Katsuki's.
Kirishima led them to the door, standing awkwardly in the small opening before his eyes went wide. "Behind your head real fast!" He said and before Katsuki could move, the man was reaching over him, his chest pressed into Katsuki's face.
His breath stopped, his hand tightening on Chikara's, (the man's fucking brother) before Kirishima backed up, grinning at him with that stupid smile. "Here bro!" He held out a small wad of cash, all ones with a few fives. "If twenty bucks a day isn't good, I can pay more!"
He didn't take the money, wiping his now wet face on his free arm, doing his best to not show how flustered the fact that this man was now towering over him made him. "It's fine. Just- " he coughed slightly, opening the door.
Kirishima scooted out of the way, leaning on the wall as Katsuki managed to fully open the door. "Just keep me updated?"
Kirishima grinned nodding as he held up the small piece of paper. "Can do! Got your phone number now!"
Katsuki nodded sharply before he pulled the door shut, leaving him and Chikara alone. He sighed, clearing his throat as he fixed his glasses on his face.
He was not going to fall for a parent- or guardian. Whatever. He was above all that and if he was going to fall for one of them, it wouldn't be the one who couldn't even prioritize the kid. This was all for Chikara.
Chikara's eyes lit up and he launched himself forward, not waiting for Katsuki to say go. Katsuki grinned, chasing after him. This is why he loved his job.
