Chapter Text

High school, the biggest scam known to man, and here he was now, forcing himself up and ready for his fourth and final year. Even though it has been only four years, to George, it’s felt like a century

same boring routine as always, for the last four years. Get up, get dressed into his uniform, take the bus to school then zone out for the day just to get by.

And since school canceled the guitar band due to lack of members for the cost of running it, George truly had nothing left to make him truly care for his participation in class. Today was just more of the same. Same annoying teens, same idiot teachers, same zoning out and hoping people would leave him alone.

But when did people ever leave him of all people alone? He was quite possibly the weird kid of their school, not for anything to do with his personality, no, these people where too shallow and down right idiotic to dare and attempt to try and judge people on personality, no, instead it was always honed in on his physical appearance, which was relatively normal all things considered, but not to these people, because when where teenagers not pieces of shit? They would mainly focus on what made him seem unnatural to them. Of course they were right, he wasn't human, but they didn’t know that. The fangs, how pale and thin he always was, and his avoidance of the sun were all just seen by the people around him as just weird quirks that maybe with enough bullying and down right harassment they could knock out of him.

George doesn't remember when he turned, or more so, he refused to remember. He knew who, how and when it happened. He just can’t bring himself to remember the scene himself.

After hours that felt like years he finally was able to leave, to finally be left alone in the solitude of his room.

he walked home, he always did on rainy days like this it was safer and it left him alone more often. He again, preferred to be completely alone, even at home. He had no memory of what happened to his parents, but he doesn’t really care to know or not know. He hasn’t cared for much in a long time.

during his slow, long walk home he tripped over a seemingly random rock and stumbled into a hole, causing him to black out

when he had awoken he wasn’t in the same, slow, drab world he was used to. This world was bright, filled with colour, emotion, and was far more lively then he had been in a long, long time. As he attempted to get up, a man in a pink uniform offered his hand out to assist “who… who are you…?” George asked, “I should be asking you that, we don’t get new people here often.”

”alright- can just at least just give me your name” “Ringo. And yours is…?” “ah- um, George.”

“Say George, you don’t seem to be human to me, so what exactly might you be?”

”i’m human!” “are you now?” “yes! What else-” “Open your mouth.”

George took a pause “pardon..?” “you heard me. Open your mouth.” knowing that refusal would only bring him more suspension he complied, allowing the other man to investigate his mouth “I knew it. You’re not human, haven’t been in a long time” “don’t.. Don’t say anything… no one was supposed to know…” “did you not choose to become one? Most do.” “I don’t remember..” another pause “you can stay with me and a few friends” “pardon?” “we can’t allow you to just wander around pepperland un supervised, so you’re staying with us, got it?” “lead the way i suppose…”
