Steak for Dinner

Work Text:

Tired. She was so tired. It was one of those days, when nothing went right. Work was all kind of crazy, the traffic on the way home was even worse. A guy on one of those fancy sport grade motorcycles just had to get in the way. Anastasia maneuvered around to avoid the collision. Big as her car was, it was easy to control in emergencies or maybe Anastasia had been driving it long enough for it to feel this way.

Her fingers were still trembling when Nastya parked the car. She was almost home. Home… the best place in the world, the only place she wanted to be.

As she locked the door behind her Anastasia slid to the floor. To make things worse, her period started just to make her day go from bad to worse. The adrenaline wore off and she was feeling a dull, throbbing pain in her lower belly. She was so tired, so miserable.

“Rough day?”

Wriothesley was already home. He had changed out of his uniform and was now wearing a simple jeans and t-shirt combo. He looked good in it, the plain outfit framing his muscles beautifully.

“Oh, don’t get me started, Wry. It’s just one of these days. If I talk I’d be rambling for hours.”

“I’ve got the time!”

Wrio sat on the floor next to her and kissed Anastasia on the cheek.

“Tell me.”

“Are you sure you want to hear all that?”

“To every mind numbing detail, my sweet.”

“Well you asked for it…” Anastasia put her head on Wriothesley’s shoulder and told him all about the things that didn’t go her way that day. Wrio was gently caressing her head and playing with her hair, wrapping the ringlets and curls around his fingers as he listened intently to everything Nastya had to say. When she got to the part where her period started, Wrio’s face turned sad and serious.

“That sounds awful, but don’t you worry, babe, I gotcha!”

Wriothesley gently picked her up and carried Anastasia to the bedroom where he put her on the bed.

“Here, make yourself comfortable… and don’t you get up till I say dinner’s ready. I’m going to take good care of you, my Nastya.” Wrio’s voice was just as playful as it was dominant.

“I got a couple of nice steaks on the way home, that’ll work wonders to compensate for all that iron you’re losing with your period and all.”

As Wriothesley busied himself in the kitchen Anastasia took off her dress and stockings. She put her hair in a bun and got into bed, the coziness of blankets surrounding her like a warm hug. She was used to doing things all by herself, but it felt good, being taken care of, pampered even. The worries of the day slowly disappeared, leaving Nastya calm, quiet and at peace. Wriothesley had that effect on her. With his arms around her Anastasia felt almost serene, protected too. It was a strangely new sensation, not facing the world on her own, but a welcome one.

Anastasia could smell the delicious, homely smells of cooking coming from the kitchen. Wriothesley wasn’t a particularly versatile cook, but the things he was good at he did really well, steak being one of them. Wrio knew how to choose the best cuts and how to cook them perfectly, well browned on the outside, warm red on the inside, so soft that the meat almost melted in your mouth.

Wrio entered the bedroom with a glass of wine, and though he was smiling smugly, Nastya could see concern in the corners of his icy blue eyes. He handed her the glass.

“Dinner’s almost ready! Would you like to eat in bed or should I carry you to the kitchen?”

Anastasia laughed. “I’m not actually incapacitated, it’s just a bit of a tummy ache.”

“Hey!” Wriothesley leant closer, his eyes now on the same level as hers. “Don’t do that.”

“Do what?”

“Don’t downplay your pain. Not with me. Please.”

There was an awkward silence. Anastasia had to admit, he caught her off guard. With his playful jabs and shameless flirting it was sometimes easy to forget how dead serious Wrio was when it came to her health and safety.

It occurred to Nastya that it was one of those battles she couldn’t win, even if she wanted to. Anastasia had to remind herself, it wasn't a weakness to let him act this way. It was trust.

“Thank you. For reminding me… and if you insist on one of these two options only I’d like you to carry me.”

Wriothesley grinned from ear to ear.

“Now that’s what I want to hear!”

After dinner they had tea in bed. It was Wriothesley’s idea of luxury and Nastya knew better than to argue about something as minor as stained sheets if these odd little tea parties made him happy.

Anastasia could feel warmth growing inside her, traveling to her fingers and toes, her heart beating steadily and her mind finally silent. It was not an easy feat for a chronic overthinker like her to stop worrying, going through every detail of her day, trying to remember if she made any mistakes or said the wrong kind of thing. With Wriothesley by her side she finally reached the blissful absence of thoughts. Finally, some peace of mind… the best feeling in the world.

“Thank you Wry, it’s been a lovely dinner. I’m not sure if that’s the iron being replenished or the thoughtfulness of it all, but I feel a lot better now.”

Wriothesley put his tea cup at the bedside table as he wrapped his arms around Nastya and kissed her neck. He pulled out the wooden hairpin holding her hair together and it fell on her shoulders like a dark waterfall. Wrio buried his face in her curls, soft and fragrant, so unlike his coarse, unruly mane. Her hair always smelled like vanilla, as if she was a magical creature from some kind of a fairytale. His thoughts and feelings went in a very different direction, inappropriate for most fantasy stories. He kissed her over and over again with some gentle bites in between. Wriothesley wanted to go harder, to sink his teeth deeper, to make her gasp for air, moan and whimper, but he restrained himself. It was more fun to take it slow, something he learned from Anastasia: the sweet anticipation, the pleasure of not rushing into things.

“That was just the beginning, my Nastya! I have so many delicious treats for you” Wriothesley whispered in her ear. “My dearest, my sweetest, my princess, my love, mine, all mine.” Anastasia moaned. He could tell that she was getting goosebumps when he caressed her.

One of the things Wrio loved about Nastya was how sensitive and responsive she was, how little it took to get her in the mood, as if she wanted him almost all the time. Wriothesley thought of that day when they went to a goth and metal festival together. There was a huge crowd and to make sure she was safe Wriothesley stood behind Anastasia like a physical and metaphorical shield. When more and more bands took the stage the crowd went wilder with every passing minute. Anastasia’s butt kept being slammed right into his groin. He couldn’t do anything about it, he got stone hard and she must have felt it. It was so stupid, Wrio almost cursed himself for acting like a damn teenager. To his surprise Nastya didn’t think of it as a bad thing, in fact it was she who asked him to leave the crowd “to get some fresh air”.Wriothesley didn’t remember if the air was any fresher than usual, but he surely remembered the head she gave him.

It was a good memory, but Wriothesley had something way better right in his arms. His hands moved lower, his mouth followed. Wrio knew Nastya’s body almost as well as his own, but he reveled in exploring it all the same. Slowly but steadily Wriothesley reached that sweet spot that he loved so much, her cute squishy belly pouch. The fact that some people considered it a flaw was simply beyond him. Wrio thought that curves like that were the pinnacle of femininity and an absolute delight for the senses. Wriothesley didn’t really discuss things like that with anyone, but if he had to say something in defence of rounder bellies he would probably say that even statues of ancient goddesses had them, so it can’t possibly be a bad thing.

When he pressed his lips against Nastya’s stomach, Wrio could feel the heat radiating from her body. He could hear the raw, uninhibited desire in her moans too. However, Wriothesley knew it was wrong to assume things. He wanted her, but he wanted her to want him too. Wrio looked up at Anastasia, trying not to appear needy and failing miserably.

“Nastyenka, my dear, how’s your pain situation doing? Would you like me to?” Wrio bit his lip feeling self conscious all of a sudden.

“Would I like you to fuck me? Yes, damn!” She added softly “I mean, yes, please…”

“I don’t want to just fuck you, I want to lick you and kiss you down there until neither of us can hold back anymore.”

“But… there’s blood there… is that alright with you?”

“It’s more than alright, it’s absolutely fine, my sweet Nastya. Just like with steak, a little blood only adds to the flavor.”

“You’re such a weirdo!” Anastasia pulled Wrio closer and kissed him. “I love you.”

Wriothesley kissed her back hungrily. It felt so good, not only being wanted, but being loved. It made him feel invincible, almost godlike. Wrio did just the thing he said he would and he couldn’t get enough of it. His tongue moved from one spot to another making Nastya moan and gasp. Knowing that he could please her did things to him in a way that he couldn’t quite define. Wriothesley was sure of one thing, if she wasn’t having fun, he wouldn’t either. His pleasure didn’t even matter without hers, and though there were times when he treated her rough Wrio always made sure that she was enjoying whatever they were doing. It was a synergy of sorts, taking and giving, making love in the best way possible.

When they were done Wrio carried Anastasia to the bathroom for a light shower. He carried her back to bed too. It didn’t take long for Nastya to fall asleep, and her dreams were full of Wriothesley. She saw Wrio and herself together, laughing, dancing and pleasuring each other, their bodies entwined, their souls united, their hearts beating as one. Anastasia smiled in her sleep. Despite the world trying to beat her down, life just couldn’t get any better than this.
