Trafalgar Law was a name highly adored by people around the world. If a normie were to question why he was popular in the first place, they’d assume that Trafalgar Law is some famous Lawyer or maybe a Singer who blew up. But really, the reason why is as simple as taking candy from a baby. He was a model.
Trafalgar Law was mentioned in several magazines, web posts, articles, basically everywhere. The story of how he became a model in the first place was no mystery. If you were to search it up, it would show several results of the story being retold and it wasn’t anything shocking, honestly.
It went like this:
Law had gone on a trip with his friends and pictures were taken. It wasn’t anything drastic– it was just a casual photo taken by one of his friends. Except, his friend must’ve been blessed immensely on his hands because the candid photo he took of Law was ethereal. Too jaw-dropping that it started to gain attention from more people because obviously if you had a photo like that you’d 100% share it to the world… (god forbid someone to not post in his socials or even take a selfie of yourself)
And so, as it started to gain attraction from several people online, Law eventually caught the eye of a Model Company and asked the owner of the post (Sachi) for details about Law. Now, for someone like Law who was struggling against the world and barely making any money, he simply wasn’t the type to care for his appearance. So when his friends excitedly told him to try the job out, he immediately declined.
“Come on, Law! Just check it out, please?” Penguin begged Law over the phone.
“I told you, no.” Law grunted.
There was some shuffling over the phone before a different voice spoke instead of Sachi’s voice, “Pretty pleaseeeee??? With a cherry on top?? We checked the person and the company– it’s not a scam! It’s a real fucking company,” Ikkaku said.
If it was Ikkaku who double-checked everything then Law guessed it should be the real deal… Still, it doesn’t change the fact that being a model was something Law hadn’t even imagined in his younger days.
Bepo took over the phone this time, “Law… we won’t force you but please try it out? This could be big for you and there’s no harm in trying, right? I mean, you were looking for a job after all.”
Shit. They released The Bepo.
Law knew he couldn’t let Bepo down… he’ll never admit the soft spot he has for his friend. No one needed to know that. Not even the person himself.
“Ugh.. fine. I’ll check it out. When did he say I should go?”
In the background, Law could hear the other three simultaneously cheering. “In two days! 1:30 PM! Don’t be late!”
Law rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”
“Yes! Thanks Law, we love you!”
“Bye. I’ll update or something.” Then, Law ended the call without giving them a chance to respond.
So there he was trying out for his Model run and it was safe to say he passed in appearance-wise in flying colors. His poses needed a little work but that was normal for a first timer. Thankfully, the photographer saw the potential Law had. He never gave up in Law, teaching him how to pose, walk, and express. Slowly but surely, the name Trafalgar Law was out in the world and it was a name where millions of thousands adored.
Okay… Maybe he’d admit it only one time that he was grateful to his friends for pushing him to get the job.
Everything had gone absolutely great for Law after agreeing to model for them.
Cue: Mugiwara Luffy. A part-time streamer disguised as a vlogger.
He was an absolute wrecking ball, exaggeration needed. Mugiwara Luffy started out playing games online and streamed it to make money. He didn’t have talent for it. He didn’t have any records broken. What he did have was personality. The clips of him from his streams were either hilarious or unbelievable. Mostly both at the same time.
Mugiwara Luffy gradually rose to fame because of his personality. The off-hand comments he made, his naive honesty, but most of all his bravely hilarious personality that made people smile. He was the extroverted person. Always making friends no matter the contrast they had to Luffy.
But what really made Mugiwara Luffy stand out wasn’t just that, it was the sudden outdoor streams he did. They were dangerous and out-of-pocket adventures. Luffy said it was because he was tired of sitting at home all day but he still loved to stream so he just streamed outside.
And while the idea had been wild at first because Luffy admitted that he didn’t really plan on anything for the stream— just that he wanted to stream outdoors, the adventure itself was wild enough.
From random encounters, random lore drops and commentaries, to gang fights and pure joy and laughter.
Everything with Luffy was just so... unexpected. You could never guess what would be going on in Luffy’s day. He was the literal definition of “never let them know your next move.”
Over the course of his adventures, he started to form a group. Inviting people in his neighbourhood to join him for adventuring, or so he calls it.
There were some quarrels about it within the group of course. Luffy explored the world with his friends little by little. Not one day went without chaos following them. But the members knew they willingly chose to join and liked the chaos too.
They started a YouTube channel called “The Straw Hats”. It started with just Luffy and at the end it became a ten-member group. There are also bets about it increasing in the future. But Luffy wouldn’t mind it anyway— he had genuine fun with them. Exploring the world had always been one of his dreams and finally he was able to do it with so much fun.
He still did gaming streams though when the Crew was busy with their own life.
So anyway, that sums up for Mugiwara Luffy. Now… it was time for the latest drama between the two.

“Hey guys! Tough crowd today, huh? That’s fine! I don’t care anyway!” Luffy laughed as he took a bite out of his donut. It was as true as he said it, Mugiwara Luffy didn’t care about hate comments as long as it wasn’t directed at his friends. People who ignorantly hate on Luffy’s friends are genuinely just dumb. Try it and you wouldn’t live to tell the tale. Luffy cares insanely about his friends. He does NOT play about loyalty.
“Hmmm.. I’ll just do a Q&A today! I’m feeling chatty again”

Instantly, the chat went wild, everyone trying to get the chance for Luffy to answer their question. Donations came pouring in one by one.

“Oh! Traffy? You bet I do!” Luffy’s eyes visibly lit up at the mention of his name. His screen switches from Twitter to Instagram as he quickly searches up Trafalgar Law’s account. He clicks on the newest post and instantly goes silent from the sight.

But the chat goes even wilder. They’re entertained by the sight of Trafalgar Law’s new shoot, that’s for sure. Though, what was even more entertaining was not the post itself but the sight of Luffy’s expression the moment he saw it.
“What the fuckk… he’s so hot.” You could see Luffy visibly blush from the sight.

Luffy ran his hands over his face. “My boyfriend is so handsome.”
If the chat wasn’t crazy before, it was definitely crazy after that statement.

Luffy spends a good full five minutes staring at the post before he snaps back to reality and continues his Q&A. Strangely though, he was distracted and he had even ended the stream early.
From then on, Luffy was found with Law content all over his feed. Even the mentions of Law was lurking somewhere in his daily life. But he never failed to compliment the Model. Everytime he saw him, he’d compliment basically anything about the model. He even had multiple nicknames for him.
Although, curiosity was always within the cat. So someone eventually found it strange for Luffy to keep calling Law as his “boyfriend” or “lover” even though he didn’t seem the type to call a random stranger endearing names.

It has been bugging me ever since. Why do you call Law “boyfriend?” From what I remember, you don’t call any of your friends affectionate names/labels but for this random model, you do.

Luffy’s composure changed at the donation message. He furrowed his eyebrows before responding. “Well… cuz it’s true? Torao’s my boyfriend.” He said, without any further explanations.

The topic was brushed off as Luffy got distracted by his game and screamed from the jumpscare. Everyone moved on from it.
Sometimes, Luffy mentions off-handed comments about Law like he personally knew the guy. People obviously asked him but Luffy had never answered it because something else always interrupted him from answering.
One time, he said Torao was being a dummy and ate bread. Trafalgar Law apparently dislikes bread a lot. Luffy huffed and complained why he didn’t just give the bread to him.
Another time, Luffy listened to one of his teammates' experience with their lover and Luffy joined in laughing while recalling his memory with Law. “Traffy does that too! He’s grumpy about it but I know he’s being serious. Shishishishishi”
Luffy mentioning Law as his boyfriend was one thing. Fans decided that it was just a fan thing to do. But Luffy actually telling memories about him and Law was a whole other planet.

The reveal was very sudden. In the midst of the drama between Law & Luffy’s actual relationship, the appearance was unexpected. Luffy was streaming outdoors this time. He said he wanted to bother Sanji in the new restaurant. Sanji had opened his own restaurant some time ago and it had been going wonderfully. Business was booming and Sanji seemed happier, aside from the obvious stress he was having from the amount of people but nevertheless, he was happy with his job.
Luffy mentioned he was coming to eat there with another person, but he didn’t say who. His viewers assumed it was just one of the usual Crew. Little did they know it was someone entirely new…
“Hey Luffy, table for two, right?” Sanji greeted him with a smile.
“Yup! He didn’t tell me but I know he’s excited to taste your cooking,” Luffy laughed.
Sanji half-heartedly rolled his eyes at him, “Oh c’mon. He’s tasted my cooking before,”
“Yeah, but that was before! He’s been waiting to try out your dishes in your brand new restaurant.”
“Ughh seriously… It’s not like my style changed. Anyway, come with me upstairs. I got you a private room, just for you two.”
“Thanks Sanji!”
The two chatted for a bit before Sanji had to go back to the kitchen. After all, he still had work to do. Sanji’s restaurant wasn’t fully booked for no reason. Even though he had just opened a few weeks ago, the dishes he made weren’t any less amazing as the first time customers had tried it. Words spread fast when it came to food and with the help of the Straw Hat channel for posting a video about Sanji’s opening, he gradually received more customers.
Since Sanji left, Luffy went back to talking to his viewers. He waited for a bit longer before someone opened the room.
For a regular fan who knew all the members, the voice didn’t seem the slightest familiar to them.
“Hey, Luffy-ya,” a deep and rich voice greeted Luffy. The man sat beside him and the camera Luffy was holding leaned out of view so that the people watching didn’t see what they were doing.
A moment later, Luffy turned the camera back to him. The viewers could see the genuine love in his eyes and if the wide and affectionate smile wasn’t enough, then nothing was enough.
“Hey, Torao.” Luffy said, his eyes googly.
Then, the camera was adjusted to capture the both of them side by side.
Lo and behold, the Trafalgar Law sitting beside Mugiwara Luffy. Just imagine the surprise of the people. And take note– this was all done live.
Luffy grabbed the menu and gave it to Law. “Which ones have you tried?” Law asked as he viewed the choices. Luffy snickered beside him. “Right… Wrong question. Of course you’ve already tried everything.” Law rolled his eyes.
“Shishishi. My favorite is all the meat dishes!” Law huffed fondly at him. “But I think you’ll like this one, Torao!” Luffy pointed at a dish.
Law raised an eyebrow. “Hm… interesting. Sure, I’ll have that.”
Luffy cheerfully raised his hands.
They called Sanji shortly after deciding what to order. After Sanji left, it was like Luffy had completely forgotten he was filming the whole interaction. They kept talking to each other, not knowing that the whole world was exploding just by the two of them interacting with one another.
Though, to be fair, they looked like they didn’t have an ounce of care about the world at that moment. The two looked like they genuinely enjoyed the other’s company.
Later on, someone served their food to them. Just from the first bite, Law could already tell this was gonna be one of his favorite dishes in the restaurant.
“Wow. Give my compliments to the chef, Luffy-ya.” Law said as he happily took another bite at his dish. Luffy grinned beside him, also happily eating the several dishes he ordered.
“You can tell him when we go to Nami’s party! It’s her sister’s birthday and she was planning to surprise her… don’t tell her, okay?” Luffy said nervously.
Law scoffed. “I haven’t even met her sister yet. How could I spoil her surprise?”
Luffy shrugged. “Just sayin’!”
It was hard to ignore the stares they received as they exited Sanji’s restaurant. Law wasn’t dumb. He knew that Luffy had undeniably revealed their romantic relationship to the world. It wasn’t like he was keeping it a secret— no. He was more than happy to announce it to the world.
“Torao…” Luffy said in disdain.
Law raised a brow, “Yeah? What’s up?”
Luffy looked up at him in horror, “I completely forgot I was streaming.”
Law numbly stared at his lover before bursting in laughter.
He had nothing to be ashamed of. He had a stable job now. He made more friends, and even found someone to love and give love to. It was the least he could do for Corazon. He wishes Cora could see how far he’s gotten in life. From the depressing dump he was before who was living between low checks to this sort of luxury, past him would 100% say he was high. High and living in a different dimension where he dreamed of nice things.
“Luffy-ya… It’s fine.” Law gave him a soft smile and kissed him.
“No! I completely forgot to introduce you to my viewers.” Luffy pouted but didn’t lean away from the kiss.
Law grabbed his hand, “Then, I’ll join you again next stream, okay? You can introduce me then.”
Luffy brightened up. “Yes!!”
Law will never forget his past– it was what shaped him to how he is today. And Law was finally happy. He was happy with life. And that was all he needed.
