I'm not that Harry

Summary:

Dazai buried his past a long time ago, along with his name and the stupid lightning bolt-shaped scar on his forehead.

He hoped his life in the Port Mafia would continue as it was, far from any kind of magic, annoying Chuuya every day.

But of course, nothing good happens to Dazai, as an owl with a letter in its beak appears at his window.

Dazai hates being famous, someone please help him.

or,

Dazai was born with another name, he was called Harry Potter, who by some chance ended up surviving when Voldemort cast a spell that no one had ever survived, but which, due to his ability, didn't work. Now Dazai needs to go to a magic school, and everyone has to deal with the fact that the famous Harry Potter was completely different from what everyone thought.

Notes:

I've been reading some bsd fanfics, and I'm completely in love. A while ago I read a bsd fanfic along with Harry Potter that I simply read all in one night, even though I had class the next day.
I realized that there weren't as many Dazai fanfics as there were Harry Potter ones, and the ones that existed weren't complete and had few chapters, so I decided to write this story!
Please, if there are any spelling mistakes, tell me because English is not my first language (I'm Brazilian and I speak Portuguese).
Because of this, it might take me a while to release chapters, because I write the whole thing in Portuguese, and then I translate it into English, and that's a bit more work, but I'll try my best to release chapters regularly.
Maybe it didn't turn out so well because I wrote all this on a sheet of paper during my physics and biology classes, so I wrote a few words, and then copied the board.
Anyway, I hope you like it~

Chapter Text

Dazai is certain he's paying for something he did in a past life, this must explain why there's a damn owl on his windowsill with a letter in its beak.

The animal was large and had gray feathers, he realized it was a Barn Owl, a species not commonly seen in Japan, especially in the wild. The animal stared at Dazai with large eyes, without looking away. This reminded him of Chuuya, because when he annoyed him, Chuuya would stare at Dazai for a long time with irritated eyes fixed on him. The difference was that the owl was more pleasant because it didn't scream in his ear while looking at him (he'd have to tell the red-haired boy this later).

After staring at the owl for quite some time, in what seemed more like a contest of who could look away first, Dazai decides to end this game quickly and calls Mori.

"Dazai! I think this is the first time you've decided to call me of your own accord!" the man says in that fake kind voice.

“Stop it, Mori, seriously, could you explain to me why there’s an owl holding a letter at my window!?” Dazai ends up waiting a long time for an answer.

"It fills my heart with sadness when you think that everything strange that happens to you is my fault... Come to my office", says the man in a voice that can only mean he is excited and amused.

Deciding to go straight to the Mafia, he grabs the letter that was still in the owl's beak and walks a little too fast, after all, it's never a good sign when Mori adopts that playful tone of voice. Dazai is certain that whatever he has to say is definitely something far from good.

  Oh, if Dazai only knew…

—-------

"Dazai, I'm sure you remember that wizarding school I told you about a while ago, don't you?"

"Of course," it's no surprise that the Port Mafia always ends up discovering things that were initially meant to remain hidden and secret. Obviously, that magical community couldn't hide from them so well, they weren't the most discreet type. "Why are you asking me that?" Dazai hoped it wasn't what he was thinking.

“Great!” Mori smiles, “because you’re going there!”
