Show Me How You Do It

Summary:

Picks up about a month after the events of Part 1 of the “And The Sky Was Made Of Amethyst” series, and takes place during the two months leading up to, and a tiny amount immediately after, the episode “Night”.

Despite all the evidence and everyone around them screaming at them to just please get together, Seven and B’Elanna are still telling themselves they’re just friends and the other person isn’t interested in more than that. Even with ludicrously obvious flirting.

When they enter a region of space devoid of stars or any stellar phenomena, consumed by darkness, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain that distance.

Notes:

This builds on Part 1 which was partly inspired by Synthwave/Electro. This is more 70s/80s, New Wave, New Romantics, bit of Goth, synth-pop, Electro, Industrial, Italo-Disco. I don’t know why, it popped in my head and I ran with it. No familiarity with those genres is required.

Title is from “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure. I added the playlist I was listening to as chapter 1 (actual story begins in chapter 2).

I have once again taken liberties, this time redesigning Tom’s holodeck garage. I grew up in garages so that had an influence. Dicked about with the timeline so “Night” occurs after “Unimatrix Zero”.

Second part in a series with a slow burn across multiple parts.

There is, however, uninterrupted smut in chapters 5 and 7.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)
