It was a normal day in the armed detective agency, Dazai doing no work, only fucking around, Kunikida yelling at him. You know the usual.
Right about now, Ranpo should be waltzing in, complaining about something. He was not, that was unusual. Regardless of the fact that the agency's dear Ranpo was missing, if you were able to hear, you could hear him.
Yapping about something down the hallways, most likely coming into the most popular work room. The only problem was nobody knew who he was talking to. Atsushi, Dazai and Kunikida were the loudest in the room, working (if you call Kunikida yelling at Dazai, Dazai ignoring him work….)
The Tanizakai siblings at one of the many desks, Jun’ichiro working, Naomi doing her own things,,,.
Kenji was out on a mission with Kyouka, the mission being getting groceries for the agency's break room. Yosano was in her office, as well as Fukuzawa,
So, who was Ranpo talking to? Well, they were about to find out as the handle started to twist, opening, Ranpo walks in. Candy in his hand, noticeably in his pockets as well. While Ranpo is still yapping as walking in, they hear a second voice, a quiet one. Within seconds, they can see the mysterious person Ranpo was talking to, it was no other than the guild's own E.A Poe.
The taller man walked in shortly after Ranpo did, holding (Ranpo’s) snacks in his hands as well. With Poe of course, his pet raccoon, Karl. Ranpo leads Poe to Ranpo’s claimed desk, setting his candy down on the surface, then sitting himself down in his very own spinning chair. Poe sits next to Ranpo, pulling an empty nearby chair over for himself. “Hello, Ranpo, it’s nice to see you.” Kunikida greets Ranpo.Ranpo turns to face Kunikida, “Hi, Kunikida.” Ranpo replies, then goes back to doing his own thing. Ranpo taps Poe's shoulder, though that was not needed, as Poe was already focused on Ranpo.
“Edgar, would you like to try this candy? It's mildly sour, I think you’ll enjoy it!” Ranpo holds up a bag of candy, popping one in his mouth in the process. “I am not big into sweets, Ranpo dear..” Poe replies. “Please Edgar!!” Ranpo slightly raised his voice, pulling Kunikida and Atsushi’s focus off of Dazai for a second, they decided to watch what was about to unfold.
“Ranpo dear, I am not a fan of sweets. They tend to upset my stomach,” Poe tried to reason with the shorter detective. “Edgar! Even if you don’t like it, I'll just eat it please!! I bet you’ll love it!!” Ranpo was very determined to make Poe try this, Atsushi thought to himself, ‘why was ranpo so pushy about candy?’
“Oh, fine dear, but just one candy- I do not wish to upset my stomach.” Poe gave in, he always will give in to his dear Ranpo. “Yay!” Ranpo replies, joyfully. All of the sudden, Ranpo pulls the green sour candy out of his mouth and pushes it into Poes. Atsushi, surprised at the event that just happened, starts to turn red. “Ranpo dear! You can’t take food out of your mouth and put it into mine!” Poe’s face turns BRIGHT red. "At least not in public…” Poe adds, extremely quietly.
“Sorry, BUT is it good??” Ranpo, not particularly caring about if this is seen as ‘embarrassing’ asks. “I suppose, it is rather good,” Poe replies. “I Freaking knew it!! You always enjoy the sour candies that I give you!” Ranpo, almost yelling, points a finger at Poe. “I suppose I do, yes.” Poe, still quite embarrassed, replies to the shorter boy.
