Law refused to panic. He had survived worse things. He had fought Doflamingo, for crying out loud. But nothing—nothing—could compare to the absolute nightmare that was Monkey D. Luffy’s obsession.
And right now? He was completely trapped in it.
Luffy still had his arms wrapped around Law’s waist, holding him close like a damn teddy bear. His usual carefree grin was too wide, too pleased, too dangerously certain—like he already knew the outcome of this whole mess.
Like he knew Law was his, whether Law accepted it or not.
Law gritted his teeth. He was not going to let this idiot get the upper hand.
"I don’t belong to you," he hissed. "Now let. Me. Go."
Luffy only tilted his head, his grin widening in amusement. "Nope."
Law twitched. "Nope?! That’s it?!"
Luffy laughed, nuzzling into Law’s shoulder again, and Law physically flinched when he felt the warm press of lips against his skin.
"You're so funny, Torao~," Luffy murmured against his neck. "I dunno why you keep saying no when we both know you like this."
Law choked.
No. No, absolutely not. He was NOT blushing.
"Oi, oi, oi—what the hell did I just hear?" Ace’s voice was sharp, and dangerously close to outright murder.
Sabo exhaled a long-suffering sigh, rubbing his temples. "Luffy."
Luffy turned his head, completely unfazed by the seething rage from his brothers. "What?" he asked, all innocence, as if he wasn’t actively flirting with the man trapped in his arms.
"What do you mean, what?!" Ace threw up his hands. "You just said the creepiest thing in the world, right after kidnapping a guy you’re obsessed with!"
Luffy blinked, then turned back to Law, his grin softening—almost fond.
"I didn’t kidnap him," he said, as if that made it better. "I just made sure he couldn’t leave me."
Law’s eye twitched so hard he nearly gave himself an aneurysm.
"You just—that’s literally the definition of kidnapping, you absolute menace!"
Nami burst out laughing.
Robin sipped her tea, her eyes twinkling. "I have to admit, Luffy, I never thought I’d see you so… devoted to someone like this."
Sanji whistled, shaking his head. "Kid’s a natural at flirting. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say Law’s heart is already racing."
Law flung a death glare at him. "It is NOT—!"
"Your ears are red, Captain," Bepo said helpfully.
Law nearly exploded.
"Bepo, I swear—!"
Meanwhile, Shachi and Penguin were dying.
"This is gold," Shachi whispered, recording everything in his brain.
"Never letting him live this down," Penguin muttered, nodding furiously.
Franky, arms crossed, grinned. "Luffy’s got good taste. Law’s got that whole grumpy-but-hot thing going on."
"Franky, shut the hell up," Law snapped.
Luffy only laughed, completely unbothered by the chaos he’d caused. Instead of releasing Law, he tightened his grip, resting his chin on Law’s shoulder like they were lovers.
"I think it’s cute," Luffy said. "You’re all grumpy and mean, but I know you don’t actually hate me."
Law felt his heartbeat stutter.
Oh no. Oh no, oh no, oh no.
This was getting dangerous.
Luffy was too close. His breath was too warm. His grip was too strong.
And the worst part?
Luffy was right.
Law didn’t hate him. He wanted to—he should—but deep down, where he didn’t want to admit it, he didn’t actually mind.
That was the real danger.
"Shut up," Law muttered. "You don’t know anything."
Luffy hummed, completely unconvinced. "I know enough."
Ace finally snapped.
"Luffy, let him go before I punch you," he snarled, fists clenching. "You’re acting like a damn lunatic!"
Luffy’s smile dropped.
Just slightly.
And the air in the ship suddenly felt… wrong.
"…I don’t like that, Ace," Luffy said, his tone too calm, too soft. "You shouldn’t call me a lunatic just because I love someone."
Silence.
Ace froze.
Sabo’s grip on his pipe tightened.
Even the Straw Hats stiffened.
Because for a split second—just a second—Luffy’s presence was terrifying.
Law felt it too. The sheer, unyielding obsession behind Luffy’s words.
This wasn’t a crush.
This wasn’t some fleeting attraction.
This was full-blown, unshakable possession.
And it was terrifying.
Luffy grinned again, but this time, it felt wrong. "I don’t wanna let him go," he said simply, as if the conversation was already over.
Ace opened his mouth to argue—
And then Luffy did something that broke Law’s entire brain.
He turned back to Law, leaned in, and kissed his jaw.
Soft. Slow. Too gentle.
Law stopped breathing.
The entire ship descended into chaos.
"WHAAAAAAAAA—?!?!"
Ace nearly had a stroke. Sabo almost dropped his pipe. Usopp fell over screaming. Zoro actually gawked.
The Heart Pirates completely malfunctioned.
Law completely short-circuited.
Luffy, looking smug as hell, nuzzled into Law’s cheek and whispered—
"See? You didn’t even push me away~"
Law snapped out of it with an explosion of pure rage.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!?!"
Luffy just laughed, tightening his grip. "Loving you."
Ace lunged for his brother. "I’M GONNA KILL YOU, LUFFY!!"
Law tried to escape, but Luffy caught him. Again. Because of course he did.
The Straw Hats and Heart Pirates were either panicking, screaming, or taking bets.
And at that moment, Law knew.
There was no escape.
He was so, so screwed.
