Work Text:

Aziraphale stood in front of the mirror, staring at his grey supreme archangel clothes. He hated them so much, they represented so much that he hated, including himself. Fixing the system or demolishing it was taking more of a toll than he thought it would. Some days it felt like there was nothing good left for him.

The other archangels we're still verbally abusive to him, and Sandalphon liked to try corner him to beat him up like he had done before the failed Armageddon. The last time the sleazy archangel tried though he got a surprise in the form of a 37th level scrivener walking in and asking questions that had distracted him enough for Aziraphale to get a good punch in so he could get away.

Muriel's arrival was accidental but a boon for Aziraphale to help him remember why he was trying to fix things. So angels like Muriel could get a chance to learn from humans, to learn what Earth was like, what love truly felt like.

Sandalphon had been avoiding him ever since. It looked like finally standing up to the bully made him fear more from Aziraphale. He didn't like to get violent but words hadn't been enough to get Sandalphon to stop.

Aziraphale was lost in thought staring at his reflection that he didn't notice the slight change in scent of the room, or the soft padding footsteps of his mate until Crowley was pressed up against him, and scenting him and wrapping his arms around his waist, and then dragging a hand up his torso.

Crowley's hand stopped at the jacket lapel, and he brought his other hand to grab the other lapel. Aziraphale laid his head back to rest on the demons shoulder.

"Angel, I think its time to take the weight of the world off your shoulders." Crowley said as he pulled the grey suit jacket off of Aziraphale's shoulders, and down his arms. "You've done what you can. Heaven and Hell are no more and all of us celestials now get to choose our own path."

It had taken a lot of work but Aziraphale with help of Crowley, Beelzebub, and Gabriel. With help from Dagon, and Michael of all beings had been able to force God away, and seal Satan in his pit never to mess with humanity and celestials again. Dagon and Michael had learned about stuff on Earth, and through interactions with some humans had learned that they too had free will. The more angels and demons interacted with humanity the more they learned and wanted to thrive alongside humanity.

There were some angels and demons who just wanted to destroy, and fight. Sorting out what to do with them was harder. They were currently blocked from their miracles, and on another planet at the moment where they couldn't actively harm anyone or anything.

Aziraphale shook the thoughts our of his mind. He let the jacket fall off his arms into a puddle on the floor as Crowley started undoing the shirt buttons while alternating between kissing and biting his neck. Aziraphale looked away from his reflection, the barbs he had gotten over millennia from the archangels who were supposed to be family still rang through his head.

Something in Aziraphale's scent must of changed because Crowley looked up into the mirror to see Aziraphale's eyes weren't looking at his reflection any more. Crowley gave him a light disproving growl "Angel look at the mirror, look at yourself. I'm going to show you how beautiful you are. I'm going to tell you what I find beautiful, what I know about you is beautiful."

Crowley's dexterous hands continued to unbutton Aziraphale's shirt and push it open.
