Chapter Text
There is a mirror in the locker room. It hangs on the wall, floor-to-ceiling, just wide enough for one person. Alex stands in the reflection to admire himself. He’s bare naked except for a pair of boxer briefs strapped around his ass. His bulge is nestled snugly in the fabric. He raises his arms and flexes his biceps, thicker than five hardboiled eggs bundled up, and a grin forms at his lips. He flexes his shoulders and they bulge out like steel.
Pride wells up in his chest. A body like that is hard to not feel cocky about. He can’t help but feel proud about the size of his chest and shoulders, and his arms and legs. His pectoral muscles swell like mountains, his shoulders wide enough to crash through rock – the perfect body for a gridball quarterback. He weighs a massive 300lbs and all of it is pure muscle.
The guys call him many things. Stuff like “The Mountain” and “The Boulder” and “The Grizzly” are some of his favorite names. He stands immovable on the field like a mountain, breaks through opponents like a boulder. The last name came when he hadn’t waxed his body in a month and his body hair grew wild like a grizzly’s fur. The guys couldn’t stop patting and ruffling his furry abs and chest and legs. Then he had to shave it off. He doesn’t let himself get hairy normally; the girls don’t like hairy dudes.
“Yo, Mullner, do you think Coach’ll let me change positions today?”
Alex is pulled away from his reflection. He turns around to a red-haired teammate. He is dressed in nothing but his boxers, a body big like Alex but a little smaller overall, and he leans back on the locker room bench. That guy is Redfield. He’s part of the offense with Alex. He’s not quite as high-ranking as Alex, but he’s one of the best they have.
“I dunno man,” Alex shrugs. “There’s a chance. Prove yourself and maybe you will.”
“Leader doesn’t make that call, bonehead,” says a black-haired guy. That’s another offense guy, Harrison. He’s almost as tall as Alex, but not quite. Harrison and Redfield are two of his best bros in the team – not the brightest, but smart enough to drink beer, eat food after training and talk about women or porn.
“Broo…” Redfield sighs. “Coach Kent keeps not looking even though I fucking destroy those assholes. It’s like he hates me. He’s never going to put me any higher at this rate. You gotta put in a good word for me, Mullner.”
“I’ll see what I can do,” Alex grins with confidence. He really is not the person to make such calls, but he likes to imagine having that power. People looking up to him makes him feel good.
“You fucking better. You’re always always buttering him up into favoring you. Give us little guys a chance too.”
Alex likes how brash Redfield can be. It is a good trait to have in the pro-sports world, but also the type of behavior that’s punished when out of line. He steps over to Redfield, folding his arms into a mighty stance. His bare feet slap against the wet tile floor when he stops before him. “Ordering me around?” he asks, looking down into his eyes.
“Ah, uh… Shit, Mullner. Stop looking at me like that. It’s gonna make me so fucking sweaty.”
“Maybe it’s time to sniff my pits again?”
“Fuck, sure…” He gets up with his shoulders slumped. His eyes hide behind his red hair. They do it like they always do. Alex raises his arm and his steamy wet armpits are right in his face. Redfield presses in his nose, inhales deep, then sticks out his tongue and brushes against the thick bush of hair.
“Yeah, good boy,” Alex says, grabbing his hair to smush his head in with more force. “That’s right. I own you. Now siddown and get dressed, bitch.”
“Mnghff…” Redfield moans, gasping for air. His face is bright red. “Okay, leader…”
Everyone in the locker room watches quietly and keeps their heads down. They all have boners just like Alex. Alex feels a rush of dopamine burn through his body. It’s great to be with guys. They all respect him for his skill, for his muscle size, for his ability to lead. Sometimes Alex likes to call them his submissive bitches, grabbing them by their throat and watching them get flustered and weak in their legs. Sometimes they’ll get wet boners and everyone will laugh. A pack of bros can have a lot of fun in a locker room.
They’re all good guys. They’re not the brightest, but then Alex can’t say he’s that smart either. That’s why they’re playing gridball and working low-paying warehouse jobs instead of going to college and getting a degree.
And since they are dudes, they all produce a fine musk of male scents: sweaty pits, sweaty clothes, and especially sweaty underpants. The smell does something with Alex’s brain each time he walks into the locker room. It gets his cock hard. He doesn’t know why. He walks in every day with his fat dick pushing its way out of his pants.
It’s probably the cheerleading team just before he walks in. Alex is straight, of course. He’s dated Haley to prove it. What happens in the locker room is just bros being bros – fooling around like guys do. The cheerleading team is always standing by the entrance and he’ll greet them, and their boobs must be doing something to him. Straight guys like him love boobs.
“Broskis,” Harrison says, flinging a uniform shirt around his neck. “Did you see that boyfriend? Coach Kent has a new boyfriend. I saw him outside by the pick-up truck.”
“Boyfriend…?” someone asks.
“Yeah, coach Kent is like… gay or something. Said he’s dating a dude. Divorced his wife and now he’s with a guy. Apparently they like fuck and kiss together even though they’re both dudes. They’re homos.”
The whole room goes silent. Everyone looks down at the ground and furrows their brows. Alex feels a weird kind of tension, and even in his own stomach does he feel a bit queasiness soak his insides. Guys loving fellow guys is cool, of course. It makes a lot more sense than hanging with women, if one were to ask him, since guys smell so good and cocks are just convenient and good-looking. Gays make a lot of sense.
Alex decides to diffuse the tense energy. “So what about that? If coach is a homo, that's okay. We support gay people, right?”
There are careful nods and some nervous chuckles. Everyone seems cool with it. Alex isn’t gay or anything but he doesn’t like it when people are dicks against gays. As leader he won’t allow homophobia in his team.
“Yeah, sure,” said Redfield, rubbing his knees. His dick is still hard. Alex notices a wet spot forming at the tip. He’ll do his best to avoid mentioning that, for the sake of his bro. It’s kinda weird that Redfield is almost cumming, but oh well… Any dude can leak a little sometimes. It’s only normal for a healthy young guy.
Alex feels something wet in his own underwear too. He looks down and sees a glistening splotch soak his boxers. Something really got his body worked up. It’s like he could bust a nut all over himself this instant. What’s causing it? The heat in his body is so strong… It must’ve been the thinking about cheerleaders.
Alex continues, “So this boyfriend, is it that lardass who was waiting by the bleachers?”
“Oh yeah, that’s him,” Harrison nods. “That’s the thing, this boyfriend is fucking obese. His name’s Shane or something. Coach Kent said they met in some rural town's saloon. He’s got a gut that’s hanging out of his shirt. He’s like seriously fucking obese, bro. Like he needs to shop at fat guy store type obesity. It might even hang to his fucking dick for all I know. I wonder how coach touches his, y’know… Does he wipe his own ass?”
“Heh, really?” Alex chuckled. “My doctor said I’m obese.”
Everyone turned to him with confusion in their eyes. Several ask in unison, “What…?”
Alex flexes his chest and arms, and they swell with mass. Their mouths hang open and drool drips out as they watch him. They’re looking at him with full admiration. “It’s ‘cause I’m so heavy,” Alex growls through gritted teeth, flexing everything as thickly as he can. “His scale calculated my BMI automatically and said I was obese. It thought that weight was fat, but this here is all muscle.”
“Huh, makes sense…”
“Not many dudes are beefy like you, leader,” Redfield says with a strained voice.
“Yeah?” Alex tilts his head to the redhead. “You’d know since you're always drooling over my muscles. You enjoy this musk?”
“Mullner, fuck dude…” Redfield gulps. His body tenses up. His bulge pulses. His eyes glaze over as he looks up at Alex.
Alex lets out a hearty laugh and ruffles his head. “Just kidding, bro.”
They have a lot of fun around here. Alex loves messing with his bros. A little bro-to-bro bonding never hurts anyone.

Cockiness is a vice but what is Alex supposed to do when it feels so good? The eyes of everyone adore him as he carries the ball to the opponent’s side. Redfield’s smitten eyes watch him, Harrison is obsessed with the way Alex shows off. He can’t help but drink all the attention to the point he feels woozy and euphoric.
“Mullner, keep your head straight! Don’t go off on your own! Come back here right now!”
Coach Kent calls him back to the middle of the field and Alex restrains himself from clacking his tongue and rolling his eyes. He’s doing great and he’s doing the team a service by taking the initiative. The coach doesn’t like it when Alex does his own thing. If it weren’t for his impeccable skill, Kent would’ve thrown him out long ago. But who can resist Alex’ athletic might? He is the guy carrying the team to victory every match, the one fated to become a true pro player out of this bunch.
While Alex zones out Kent’s angry voice, he looks around the field. On the bleachers is the boyfriend. Just as Harrison said, it really is old man Shane from Pelican Town – the guy who works at Joja Mart. How fucking weird to see him here. Or, for that matter, to see him anywhere near a sporty place like this. He’s never been near the gym as far as Alex knew, evidenced by his massively obese frame. A giant gut rests on his lap. Love handles spill out over his waist band. He even has man boobs bulging under his upper arms. Kent is an athlete and it makes no sense for him to hang out with lardasses like Shane.
Maybe he came here because he is a pervert? All these sweaty fit dudes running around in skimpy sports uniforms; since old man Shane is gay, does that mean he’s into this sort of thing? Is he secretly jacking off right now? Alex squints but he can’t see Shane’s hands doing anything but holding a hotdog with both hands and stuffing it into his overweight face.
“Alright, that’s all Mullner,” Kent says, slapping Alex’s shoulders. “Don’t look at your friends while running. You’re not a stripper trying to seduce them. Look where you’re going, or you’ll crash into someone and hurt yourself.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Alex sighs, waving him off, looking hard at how his bros are laughing and gossiping at Alex’s reprimanding. He’s drunk on the attention of his bros. He wants all of them to talk and think about him.
With the ball in his hand, he starts running again to the opponents side. He keeps his eyes on his bros. His legs sprint harder as they cheer him on, as fast as he can. The wind brushes through his hair and blows under his shirt, cooling the sweat he’s been working up. With grace and nimbleness he jumps around all the obstacles the coach had set around the field to train his agility.
“Fuck yeah, Mullner!” Harrison cheers.
“Over here!” Redfield calls.
Fuck his cock is hard again. The same wetness is back and it’s dripping down his shaft. He doesn’t see Redfield standing before him, waiting for him to pass the ball, while Alex is adjusting the boner in his pants.
Redfield is right in front of him, running the same course as Alex. His massive body forms an unavoidable obstacle, and Alex runs into him at full speed. They crash into each other’s bodies, their skulls slamming like hammers.
All light and consciousness is knocked out of him instantly. He can barely hear their voices as they take him to hospital. Everything hurts so much he can’t think or feel anymore.
-
“A concussion… Concussion… How the fuck do you spell concussion?”
He sits in his grandparent’s yard in the sun at a little foldable table with a letter in front of him. It’s the back of a card Haley picked out for him, a card of a coyote pouring a beer with the text “Get Well Soon” or whatever, which he’s supposed to send to Redfield. That guy’s stuck in Zuzu City healing from the same injuries as Alex. At least he’s in Zuzu with all the bros. Alex is stuck in this shithole all alone.
“Huh, he’s really here,” a voice says.
“Fuck that looks bad!” another voice says. “I told you it sounded really serious!”
When Alex looks up he sees two guys approaching from the General Store. One has spikey blonde hair, running as fast as he can, and the other has dark long pants and a hoodie despite it being the middle of summer, walking slowly behind the blonde one. He vaguely recognizes them as two guys who live in his town.
“Hey, Alex!” the blonde one says.
They’re not admirers are they? Did they come for an autograph? He must be quite the famous celebrity in a small town like this. One day they’ll put a statue here commemorating the place where the greatest gridball player of all time, Alex Mullner, grew up most of his life. Then they’d have a real tourist attraction that’d put this shithole town on the map.
“What’s up, dudes!” Alex says with a proud smile. “What can I do for you?”
“We just wanted to check up on you! Are you alright!? That’s so many bandages! Even your face is completely bruised!”
“Oh, right.” Alex cocks his head. Harvey has patched him up a few days ago with several casts to get his broken bones back into shape, and he needed all sorts of bandages around his head to help with the concussion. They drugged him up with some pain meds too, so he feels great. But, who are these people? Why are they talking to him?
“My dad’s your coach!” the blonde one says. “He told me what happened to you! He said you almost died!”
“Oh shit, you’re Vincent? Coach Kent’s kid? Didn’t realize you were my age.”
“I’m Sam! Vincent’s my little brother!” He grabs the shoulders of the guy next to him and shakes him around. “This is Sebastian! He’s kinda grumpy and shy but I swear he’s a nice guy! We can be your friends if you want? It’s strange though… I swear we introduced each other at the Luau?”
“And the Luau last year, and the year before that,” Sebastian says with a smirk. “I think he just forgot about us, Sam.”
“Ah, shit, I must’ve forgotten,” Alex says, scratching his head. “There are many bros I meet as a pro-player, you know.” Alex does his best to wink and look charismatic, since that always gets any of his mistakes forgiven. The blonde one blushes and the emo one scowls. “Yo, I got a question for you actually. You gotta read over this card I’m writing. I’m sending it to my bro but I can’t spell for shit.”
Sebastian grabs it and reads it. “This thing is riddled with spelling errors. Do you even know how to read?”
“I mean, yeah, of course.” It was hard to say if he really did. The last book he read was in high school, which was at least several years ago, and he ended up reading a summary online instead. “How do you spell concussion? No way I write it looks right.”
“Hmm, you wrote it right three times, then wrong five times.” Sebastian looks at it closely. “The way it’s currently written is wrong. It’s hard to read anything, though, with the amount of times you’ve scratched through words and written above them.”
“Correct it for me?” Alex offers him the pen.
“Okay,” he says. He takes the pen and uses Sam’s back to write on. It’s pretty noticeable how fat both of them are. They’ve both got thick bellies that jut out under their shirts. Even the emo one with his hoodie has noticeable curves, especially thick thighs that rub against each other. Their faces are fat with double chins and plump cheeks. It seems that obesity runs rampant in Pelican Town. Old man Shane makes sense, but these young guys too? The fat emo turns back to Alex and returns the card, after looking at the coyote pouring beer for a moment and furrowing his brows. “Here you go, gorilla.”
“Hey, I like that. Gorilla. Sounds great,” Alex winks, taking the card and looking at the corrected text, written in a handwriting that’s not much more legible than Alex. At least it's spelled right. “Nicknames flatter me.”
“Sure, you’re welcome,” Sebastian says matter-of-factly.
“Are you stuck here alone?” Sam asks. “Do you have no friends or something?”
“Oh yeah,” Alex shrugs. “They’re all in Zuzu City. They don’t wanna come over here. I can’t really take a bus there like this either.”
“You must be so lonely! Wanna join us tonight? We’re gonna play games and order loads of pizzas. We can order a few extra if you’re coming too!”
“Pizza, huh?” At least he can see why these two are so fat and squishy. If playing games and eating pizza is the way they spent their free time, they’d balloon with fatty blubber and get obese like Shane in no time. Maybe Alex should tell them to go on a diet and start working out. Or he could say nothing and watch as they get bigger. An unexpected part of him is curious to see what that’ll look like.
Sebastian looks at Sam for a moment with hesitation in his eyes, but then he seems to give in. “Eh, why not. Join us tonight, gorilla.”
“We’ll have loads of pizzas! Just come to the Carpenter's Shop in the mountains, if you can make it there! If not, maybe we can move to my house too… But Seb has a really nice basement where we can be as loud as we want without bothering anyone!”
“Alright,” Alex nods. “I’ll join you guys. I’ll eat pizza too, and play those games or whatever.”
Sam smiles and gives two thumbs up. They turn around and walk off. Sam flings his arm around Sebastian’s shoulders and hugs him… and kisses him on the cheek? Their soft bellies wobble with every step. Their asses look even plumper from behind. A strange sensation wells up in Alex’s gut. These two are gay too? Are they boyfriends? That’s pretty fucking cool. He wants to see what that looks like. Maybe he’ll also go see and look at what Coach Kent and Shane are like together. Gays are so cool.
A different breed of bros, to be sure. Not as stupid as the straight guys he usually hangs out with. They seem smarter than Alex if anything, which is a little intimidating but also exciting. Alex trusts they’ll be interesting.
