How to Date Han Jisung

Summary:

Jisung paused. “How are you feeling so far?”

“I like this. All of it. Very very much. I want to put my hand on your leg. And as soon as possible I’d like to make out with you.” Minho’s tone was all business.

Jisung laughed in surprise before his smiling eyes fell back to Minho’s.

“PowerPoint kink, huh? Noted.”

Han Jisung writes a PowerPoint on how to date. Lee Minho follows every instruction to the letter.

This is a story about two hot nerds that agree to follow a few simple rules and accidentally communicate their way into a healthy relationship.

Notes:

Thank you so much for checking out this fic! It’s my first ever attempt so please be gentle. ‪‪❤︎‬

I’m so in love with Minsung I honestly couldn’t help myself.

Please join me in the cuck chair. It’s nice here.

And a huge thank you to my incredible, amazing, glorious beta readers who did so much more than read and give awesome advice. They stopped me from chucking my laptop out the window in a rage more than once. Why is writing so hard? It’s the good pain, though. Never had to use my safeword. 😂 They also performed remote CPR when I almost died of embarrassment after writing my first smut scene. True heroes!

P.S. Things go full-hot-nerd in chapter 12, please stick around until then 🙏🙏🙏💖💚💖💚

Chapter 1: Prologue: Roomates

Chapter Text

Jisung cared for Hyunjin, but knew it wasn’t forever.

Yes, he loved him completely, and couldn’t imagine a life without Hyunjin in it, but their love wasn’t that kind of love.

He knew Hyunjin wanted K-drama love, thick with yearning and all-consuming, kisses that felt like slow motion, and sex that felt like addiction.

Sure, the sex, although only occasional, could be superb. Hyunjin was a generous lover and their sex life was beautiful, like a silk scarf on bare skin. A sweet, soft slow dance. Teasing. Blindfolds and fingertips, but not much fire. He knew that Hyunjin really needed someone that worshipped him, body and mind, consumed by his lithe beauty, his dancer’s body. Someone who would carry him to bed in awe and hang on his every word.

And if Jisung was being really honest, he wanted to be thrown around a little. Bitten. Told he was pretty, then held down and marked.

Hyunjin wanted drama and art. He wanted to be taken out and shown off.

Jisung wanted to curl up on the couch every night and watch Howl’s Moving Castle or the latest nature documentary.

Although they weren’t exclusive, they never stopped trying to be what the other needed and wanted. But it always felt like playing a role that didn’t quite fit. They both felt it deep down. They had something precious, but not permanent. A temporary haven where they both felt safe, but also wouldn’t grow. Both wanted to take more than give, wanted to be taken care of.

A game of rock, paper, scissors to decide who had to top.

Whispered pouting over who got to be the little spoon to cuddle to sleep.

Minho and Changbin were almost the opposite. Their relationship was more like a close friendship with the occasional mountain-moving fuck. They would help each other scratch that itch when it got itchy, but there was nothing lovey-dovey. Absolutely no gazing-into-eyes, lacing-fingers-together, or cherishing of any kind. Minho would never bother, and if Changbin did, Min would’ve laughed him out of bed.

They didn’t play rock, paper, scissors. They wrestled naked until one of them conquered the other. Sweat-slick. Lungs heaving.

It was obvious to both what they had, and neither expected loyalty beyond friendship from the other. Minho had spoken openly to Changbin about it. Min knew that Binnie ultimately wanted to feel needed, loved, more than anything, to cherish and care for someone that would let him. Bin read the slowest of the slow-burn fan fics on AO3. He watched the most achingly romantic eternal-love dramas.

Min was a good friend. The best. But he wasn’t who Binnie really needed and wouldn’t pretend to be, and that was ok for now.

Minho wanted freedom and no strings. He found the idea of a relationship heavy and restricting. He didn’t like the idea of having to mould himself into the shape someone else wanted. He mostly found people irritating. He thought a rhythm of occasional-flings-plus-Changbin suited him just fine.

But without Changbin knowing, Min was always on the look-out for Bin’s someone. He loved the guy and wanted to see him happy, even if it meant no more benefits.

Worth it to see his friend live his best life. And Min liked being single.
