Chapter Text
The rain was pouring down in a thick sheet, washing the blood off Hyunjin’s hands before it could clot. The knife was still in his tight grip, slick, dripping red onto the concrete. He stood over the body, watching the old bastard twitch less and less with every second, until the movement finally stopped. Hyunjin made sure to stare into his eyes the whole time, smirking once the light behind them finally vanished, leaving them empty like glass marbles.
The alley remained a lonely spot. Mostly silent, if he didn’t count the sound of rain droplets splashing on the disgusting, reddened puddles, or the distant thrum of bass coming from inside the club. Hyunjin crouched to wipe the blade on the dead man’s jacket; once it was clean, he sheathed his knife and grabbed the body by the shoulders, dragging it to the dumpster.
He lifted the dead weight enough to try and let it fall inside, but a rattle caught his attention. Letting go of the body, Hyunjin pushed the container towards the wall, closing one escape route, and jumped to the other side, knife in hand again.
A boy was hiding behind it; trembling, wide-eyed, breathless. His hoodie clung to him like a second skin, drenched by the rain. He couldn't be much younger than Hyunjin himself, but he was really thin. Emaciated, even.
Hyunjin pointed the knife at him, and the boy remained crouched in place, both hands raised as if that would be enough to halt Hyunjin if he decided to lunge at him.
“You saw,” Hyunjin said matter-of-factly.
The boy's pretty pink lips parted. He shook his head vehemently.
“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to,” he promised, pointing at the dumpster. “I was just—I mean, t-the food here, they—I promise I won’t say anything!”
Hyunjin’s jaw tightened. He stepped closer, huffing. The delicate features of the boy were accentuated by the neon glow coming from the main street. He was pretty.
Pretty things were the deadliest.
“That’s what they all say,” Hyunjin said, lifting the boy’s chin with the blade of his knife. “Then they take two steps and start screaming for the cops.”
“No!” the boy cried out; his voice cracked, but he didn’t back away. “I can’t do that, I swear, I have nowhere to go…”
Hyunjin saw him swallow. His big, round eyes shifted a little: still desperate, still glazed, but the plea hidden behind his damp eyelashes was replaced by something else. A little glimmer of what Hyunjin would dare call hope.
“I’ll do anything. Whatever you want. Just… just don’t kill me, please.” The boy bit his lower lip, letting out a gagged sob. “I don’t want to feel more pain…”
Normally, this wouldn’t make Hyunjin think twice. Hope was dangerous. Hope made people do things they wouldn’t do under other circumstances. Hope made them brave and stupid and that was a problem for him. Whatever problems he found in his path, he took out. Quick, efficient, easy. It didn’t weigh on his conscience.
However, he had just taken—stolen—his needed dose of life. He was feeling the cold rain on his skin, contrasting with the warm blood running through his veins. He stared at the boy, tilting his head and noticing how round his features were, incompatible with the borderline supernatural depth of his voice. He felt interest burning up inside his chest as he continued studying him, his plea hanging in the rain-soaked air.
Trembling, lean but taut, trying to make himself as small as possible. Offering himself for anything. Hyunjin noticed his throat had gone dry, and lowered the blade just an inch.
“Anything?” he asked in a purr. The boy nodded.
“Anything.”
There was resignation beyond the fear heard in his voice. It was as if he had been running from something far worse than a stranger with a bloodied knife cornering him against a trash can.
Something stirred inside Hyunjin. He took a deep breath, feeling a warm simmer expand down his chest: hot, oppressive, and dark. He’d never left a witness alive before, but this one… this one was different. Pretty. Broken in a way that could be useful. He was like a pair of sneakers discarded on the street, but still wearable.
Hyunjin grabbed the boy by the collar of the hoodie and dragged him deeper into the alley, pushing the dead body further inside the dumpster as he passed by. He stopped when they reached a narrow corner barely covered by the eaves of the buildings around, somewhat safe from the falling rain.
“Get on your knees,” he ordered.
He had expected some kind of resistance, but the boy did it without hesitation, dropping on the wet and cold concrete with barely a flinch. He looked up at Hyunjin, with his lips parted and breathing faster than before. The rain had plastered his dark hair to his forehead, and Hyunjin saw how dilated his pupils were when he used the blade to pull the black-ink locks off his face.
“Do you have a name?” he asked, genuinely curious. The boy nodded again, his breath hitching.
“I’m Felix…”
Hyunjin smirked. Such a beautiful, meaningful name felt like a sign. He would’ve said from God, if he still had a hint of belief, or trust.
He didn’t.
“Alright, Felix,” he said, guiding one of the boy’s hands to the zipper of his own jeans. “Show me how desperate you are, would you?”
This time, the diligence with which Felix worked Hyunjin’s pants open was no surprise at all. There wasn’t eagerness, at least not that of a man horny and desperate enough to suck someone in a wet alley, but he was determined; to what, Hyunjin couldn’t tell, and he wasn’t sure he even cared.
Felix pulled down the jeans and boxers, just enough to get a hold of Hyunjin’s cock. He stroked a few times, making Hyunjin sigh, eyes half lidded. Then, he leaned, his mouth open, and took the head between his lips without hesitation.
Hyunjin gasped at the sudden heat that enveloped him, contrasting with the cold night. Felix’s tongue was warm and eager, circling the ridge with too much skill. Hyunjin tangled his hand in Felix’s wet hair, guiding him to take him deeper.
“Good boy,” he murmured, his voice rough. “Just like that… Don't stop…”
Felix didn't stop. He opened wider, taking more; he gagged but pushed through it, groaning. His hands came up to grip Hyunjin's thighs, steadying himself as he bobbed his head.
The sound was obscene: slurping and gagging and Hyunjin's grunts mixed with the patter of rain. Hyunjin's hips bucked involuntarily, thrusting into Felix's warm mouth.
“Fuck,” he breathed through gritted teeth, letting his forehead rest on the wall in front of him. His fingers brushed Felix's scalp, almost like a reward. “You're good at this, huh?”
Felix hummed a reply, but Hyunjin could barely hear his own thoughts. Which was good. Anything that made that noise stop was welcomed. Whatever the boy was trying to say became meaningless once he sped up, his tongue working the underside and his cheeks hollowing every time he pulled back. His eyes were focused on Hyunjin's expressions, attentive and restless.
He wasn't just good at it. He knew exactly what he was doing, and was trying to prove his worth with every move.
Hyunjin better than anyone could recognize that.
He let out a breathy laugh, pressing Felix’s head against his pelvis, and then laughed again when panic flashed in those dark brown eyes.
“You’re so cute like this,” he purred, wiping a single tear that ran down Felix's face. “Think you can take a bit more?”
Felix's fingers—small, slender—clung to Hyunjin's jeans. He then nodded, and Hyunjin smirked.
He moved his hips forward, holding Felix's head in place, thrusting faster as he felt the orgasm building. His body shuddered as he came with a guttural groan, spilling over Felix's tongue, shaking as he pulled out.
Felix coughed. Hyunjin caressed his chin when he noticed he had swallowed every drop.
“Get up,” he said, tucking himself back in his pants. “You're coming with me.”
Felix didn't try to argue. He stood slowly, testing his legs and wiping his lips with his sleeve.
Hyunjin grabbed his waist and guided him out of the alley.
The rain had started to subside.
Hyunjin had never taken anyone home. Whatever home was that day, he always came back alone, so he wasn't really sure what to do once he got Felix there. That night, home was a dilapidated motel on the outskirts of the city. It rented by the hour, had a shower, and the clerk asked no questions as they both walked in, climbing the stairs to the second floor.
Felix walked slowly despite trying to match Hyunjin’s speed. He was silent, and had his arms around his own torso the whole way there. Hyunjin saw no point in hurrying him up, so he just waited until the boy finally reached the floor, grabbing him by the wrist before opening the door to his room to drag him in.
It was nothing fancy. A single bed, TV, a nightstand with a lamp and a sad pizza box on top, and the bathroom. The window was small and the curtains were drawn, but a sliver of streetlight bled through a gap, landing on the surface of a cracked mirror.
It was enough to crash for the night and maybe exist. Perfect for Hyunjin since he had no need for luxuries after all; his only need had been satiated in the alley already.
Now, all he had left to do was test and try this cute thing he had picked up.
Felix stood at the corner of the room while Hyunjin walked to the bed. He was about to sit, but hesitated when the damp cold of his jeans reminded him how wet he was. With a grunt, he grabbed the pizza box and opened it, taking a slice for himself. After giving it a bite, he looked at Felix, raising an eyebrow.
“Aren’t you hungry?” Hyunjin asked, chewing. He extended the box towards Felix, two whole slices of mushroom pizza waiting. “Here. I won’t charge you.”
Felix’s eyes were calculating. Hyunjin knew that look too well, having seen it in the mirror more times than he would’ve liked. He kept his arm steady, waiting until the urgency was stronger than his distrust. He took the box from Hyunjin’s hand, leaning against the wall and swallowing the first slice within seconds.
Hyunjin chew slowly, nonchalantly. He didn’t feel hungry himself. He rarely felt things like that, eating and drinking because he knew he needed to. Seeing Felix devour the pizza like a ravenous beast was eerie in a twisted way. Hyunjin could swear it was what a normal human would feel seeing a lurking ghost.
He finished eating and began undressing, huffing when the cold air hit his wet skin and gave him the chills. Felix had finished eating by then, and Hyunjin turned to face him, torso bare and hands ready to pull his jeans down.
“Wanna shower?” he asked. Felix pursed his lips, hugging himself again before nodding.
Hyunjin laughed, closing the distance between them.
“You’re so fucking terrified,” he hissed through a grin. His fingers gripped the hem of Felix’s hoodie to pull it over his head, and Hyunjin knew his shivers weren’t due to the cold.
“... yes,” Felix admitted once the piece hit the floor. His voice was low, deep, but barely a whisper.
Hyunjin giggled, going for Felix’s shirt next.
“It’s cute.”
He found a sea of freckles once he took it off. It matched the one on Felix’s face perfectly, and Hyunjin didn’t waste a second to admire it, holding Felix’s chin with one hand while the other played with the button of his pants.
“You’re cute,” he purred, his index finger tracing the boy’s lips. They were still swollen, reddened.
Felix didn’t resist Hyunjin when he leaned down to kiss him.
It’d been a long time since Hyunjin felt the warmth of a mouth against his own. He’d never felt it without having his stomach twist and turn… So the simmer in his gut caught him by surprise. Warm, intense, and addictive.
He hummed, pushing Felix against the wall. His body met the surface with a thud, and he gasped against Hyunjin’s mouth. His hands were shaking when he pressed them on Hyunjin’s abdomen, but his dainty fingers threaded into the belt loops, pulling him closer.
Hyunjin chuckled, the sound coming from the back of his throat. He pulled from the kiss, trailing his lips through Felix’s jawline down to the crook of his neck.
“You’re too eager for someone so afraid,” he teased, sucking on the tender skin. Felix held back a moan, and Hyunjin’s eyes met his.
Just as in the alley, he could see the tremor. The gloss of tears being held with all might. But the rest of his body was telling a very different story.
Felix’s hands brushed along Hyunjin’s ribs, nails raking on his skin and making him sigh over the wet spots his own mouth was seeding on the long, slender neck. In return, Felix sighed as well.
“Do… Do you like it?” he asked in a low whisper.
Hyunjin lost it.
He held Felix closer, pressing him harder between his own body and the wall. His teeth grazed the skin, ghosting over the pulse point, grunting once he realized how quickly Felix’s blood was racing through his veins. He bit the spot, not hard enough to draw blood, but the red mark would soon bloom purple.
Felix yelped, his body jerking forward. He gripped on Hyunjin’s arms, and dug his nails harshly. Hyunjin growled under the pressure, pulling away with a gasp. He stared at Felix, noticing his eyes were slightly darker than before.
“You…” Hyunjin’s gaze went down to his own arm, admiring the crescents blooming red on his skin. From there, they drifted down to the exact spot where his pelvis kept Felix pinned on the wall.
He moved forward, pressing just enough to steal a moan from Felix that was met with another one, the sound even stranger.
It took Hyunjin a few seconds to realize he was moaning too.
He held on to Felix’s legs, keeping them around his waist before turning on his heels to throw him onto the mattress.
Felix’s breath hitched, and he fisted the sheets when Hyunjin crawled on top of him. The bed creaked under the weight of both men, and Hyunjin tangled his fingers in Felix’s raven locks, yanking his head back to expose his throat. He sucked and licked the skin: soft, tender, warm. He pressed his hips downward, and Felix gasped, his hands flying up to hold Hyunjin’s head.
He didn’t push Hyunjin down or away, so he kept going. He held himself over Felix with one hand, the other working the boy’s pants open and sliding his fingers inside. He found Felix was hard, and Hyunjin sighed as he felt him tremble under his body. His fingers enveloped the girth of Felix’s cock, and he moved his hand down, then up.
Felix gripped his wrist, gasping.
“Wait…” he sighed. Hyunjin did stop, but his hand remained in place. The word didn’t correlate with the way Felix’s breath came in ragged gasps, or the waving motion his hips did trying to seek more of Hyunjin’s touch.
He leaned in, licking Felix’s earshell.
“You said ‘anything’, didn’t you?” he rasped. Felix took a second before nodding, and Hyunjin bit his earlobe. “I want this.”
Felix moaned again as Hyunjin resumed his ministrations. His hands laced together behind Hyunjin’s neck, moving slowly, in rhythm with him. Hyunjin rewarded him with more kisses to his neck, whispering into his ear as his fingers got slick with Felix’s arousal.
“‘s good, isn’t it?” he huffed, his own hardness pressing against Felix’s thigh. “You’re enjoying it as much as I am…”
In response, Felix let his hands drift down Hyunjin’s back, and then unzipped his jeans.
Hyunjin pulled back, admiring the collection of bruises he had painted on Felix’s long and slender neck as he yanked off his pants and threw them to the side. His own jeans joined them soon, and he took a second to caress Felix’s legs, tilting his head as the boy writhed slightly, humming.
Felix spread his legs without being told, and Hyunjin felt his mouth water and his cock twitch at the sight.
“Good boy,” he praised, smirking. He leaned down and held Felix’s face with one hand, letting their bodies flush together as he kissed those plump lips again, his tongue claiming the space inside Felix’s mouth.
Felix arched his back, shuddering, but his fingers yanked on Hyunjin’s hair as best as he could, his own tongue matching the game that was offered.
Hyunjin couldn’t remember a moment in his life where this kind of urge had been even half as bad… or as welcomed. He didn’t want to stop, didn’t need to stop feeling. Every inch of his body was awake, burning, and he was aching to feel even more.
He pulled away from the kiss, panting. Felix’s chest was heaving, his gaze unfocused, but his tongue didn’t hesitate to trail Hyunjin’s fingers when he shoved them into his mouth. The suction made Hyunjin grunt, the memory of the alley fresh in his mind.
He played with Felix’s tongue for a few seconds, and retrieved them only because his cock was starting to hurt.
He turned the boy over his stomach, kneading his ass before coercing him to raise his hips. He still took in the precious vision under him before pressing two slick fingers into Felix’s hole. Felix cried out, muffling the sound on the pillow. Hyunjin pressed his free hand on the small of Felix’s back, his nails raking gently on his skin while his fingers worked him open, earning himself little, deep whimpers that almost made him give up the task.
He didn’t stop until he felt Felix relaxing under his touch.
Hyunjin pulled his fingers out and lined himself up, pushing in without warning; one fluid thrust that buried him to the hilt. Felix let out a scream that filled the room and his body convulsed, clawing at the sheets.
Hyunjin didn’t move, his hand brushing over Felix’s spine.
“Hurts?” he asked, his voice rough. Felix nodded, letting his head fall to the front.
“A little…” he admitted in a ragged whisper.
“Breathe.”
Hyunjin stood still, giving the boy time to adjust, and only began moving once he heard him sigh.
He did it slow, each thrust dragging out before slamming back in. His fingers gripped Felix’s hips with bruising strength, keeping him steady despite the way his body shaked.
“Fuck…” Hyunjin muttered. The sound of skin slapping against skin was loud, but never louder than Felix’s moans.
“Please… please, don’t stop…” he cried. Hyunjin giggled, despite being almost breathless. He leaned down, licking a long stripe on Felix’s shoulders.
“You like this?” he asked in a rasp. “You like being used, little thing?”
“Y—yes,” Felix nodded. “Use me… I don’t care, just—ngh!”
Felix bit his own fingers as Hyunjin picked up the pace, his hand sliding under Felix’s body to grab his cock, pumping in sync with his thrusts. The bed creaked in protest, the headboard knocking against the wall, and Felix shuddered when Hyunjin’s fingers pressed on the tip.
“You’re mine now, aren’t you?” Hyunjin snarled into the back of his neck, biting down when Felix nodded once more. “Say it.”
“I’m yours…” Felix said, his voice broken.
In return, Hyunjin slammed deep into him.
“Again.”
“I’m yours!”
Hyunjin sped up, his thrusts becoming erratic, his breath hitching. Felix’s moans bordered on sobbing now, and Hyunjin let his other hand slide up to Felix’s throat, lying there without pressure, just letting him know he was there.
“If you ever dare try to run…” he began, but Felix shook his head, desperate.
“I won’t, I won’t!”
With one last push, Hyunjin came, groaning lowly as he spilled inside Felix. He felt Felix’s own climax wet his fingers, letting out a breathless gasp before collapsing onto the bed.
Hyunjin let himself lay on Felix’s back, breathing in the smell of his hair.
“Good boy…” he said, shuddering.
He stayed inside until his lungs remembered how to work, pulling out with a wet sound.
Felix lay on his stomach, breathing slowly. His eyes were half lidded, staring at the wall.
Hyunjin sat on the edge of the bed, looking at the mess he’d made. He reached out and brushed a strand of damp hair from Felix’s forehead. Felix flinched, but he cautiously turned to look at him. His eyes were reddened, but Hyunjin saw no hatred in his gaze. Only exhaustion… and something else.
A desperate, fragile hope.
“Are you satisfied?” Felix asked, his voice hoarse, barely above a whisper.
The question caught Hyunjin off guard. He stared at him, playing softly with the black hair. He didn’t know what he was expecting: anger, fear, a plea for mercy. But this quiet submission, this willingness to please…
He traced a soft caress down Felix’s cheek.
“Maybe,” he said, testing the word on his tongue. “Maybe I am. For now.”
Felix closed his eyes and lay there, letting out a shaky sigh without saying anything else. He looked so small, even smaller than before, when one of Hyunjin’s hands had been enough to cover half of his face.
Hyunjin wondered what kind of shit the boy could have been through to make a future in his hands seem like compassion.
He stood and walked to the bathroom, and came back with a damp towel. He cleaned Felix with patience, making sure there was no stickiness left before pulling the blanket over his naked body. Half asleep, Felix curled into a ball, his body still trembling.
“Sleep,” Hyunjin said, his voice softer than he intended. “I won’t hurt you.”
He scooted until his back leaned against the headboard.
When the cold against his skin made him shiver, he wondered if maybe letting this boy live had been a mistake.
