It was late evening after the incident at the DaDa range. Qifrey, Coco and the other girls (save Agott) were eating super. Qifrey took this time to teach the history of the Dada range and while the initial lecture was out of the way. He decided to gently educate Coco about why it was dangerous this time of year.
“The Dada range is a collection of floating mountains that were a result of forbidden magic. One there was a king that grew weary of attacks. As a direct consequence to endless war, he cast a spell on the land, hence the floating mountains.” As he finished his sentence a small white form caught his eye. At first he didn't really notice, so concerned with the concern for his newest (and dare he say reckless) Apprentice. It was only a slight instance that he noticed it. He thought his eye was playing a trick at first.
Then suddenly, a small puff ball appeared in front of him, attempting to steal a piece of his bread.
“Coco… pray tell… What have you brought home with you?” He asked. He was fully aware of the creature. A little white brushbuddy, a creature attracted to conjuring ink. Coco froze a moment, and the other girls couldn't help but be in awe at the admittedly adorable creature.
“Uh… its a little brush buddy?” she meekly replied. Fidgeting in her chair, Qifrey couldn't help but notice the cute puppy eyes that were cast his way. A moment later, his two other girls joined her.
“I…See” He replied as he sweat dropped. “Did it come with you from the dada range?” He asked, as he watched the brushbuddy steal another piece of bread. ‘Sure likes my food, doesn’t he?’
“He was a good companion while I took the test” A blush of embarrassment appeared on her face. “Can…Can we keep him?”
He was about to argue that brushbuddies were wild and thus not a pet when suddenly the puppy dog eyes grew wider. He couldn't help but glance at the creature below him… as soon as their eyes met, his fate was sealed.
Two very big wide eyes stared directly into his soul amongst the puff ball. He gently lifted the creature to get a closer look only to have the brushbuddy cuddle up against his face.
There was no way he could say no when four pairs of eyes begged him otherwise.
He will take this as a loss in his parenting book of wins.
