sungho was against the pepero game for more reasons than one.
firstly, the thought of essentially kissing your bandmates on livestream for thousands to see and mark a point in his digital footprint forever might just be a little (a lot) bit out of his comfort zone.
its not like he was a prude or anything but there are certain points where he just has to draw the line.
not to mention knowing his members and the way they've been acting lately, he has no idea what they might do, regardless of the camera.
now when he says members there are namely two that hes the most afraid of.
myung jaehyun and han taesan.
during the entirety of their new comeback in the preparations predating it, those two would be all over sungho like he was their property. from teasing grabs of his butt to possessive touches to even trying to kiss him, they absolutely refused to give sungho a break. hell, taesan even claimed sungho's butt was his favorite! who does that?!
to make matters worse, they seemed to divert their odd affections to mocking his voice in their songs. but thats besides the point. the point is that han taesan and myung jaehyun have seemed to develop some unshakable infatuation in sungho. worse than it has ever been in the past.
and of course, when the camera directors brought it up on live that global fans had been asking for the pepero game, those two were the first to make comments.
"if we do the pepero game i'll make it to 0.1 cm with sungho" jaehyun had proudly said as soon as the staff member brought it up.
taesan, ever the one to tease replied "oh? should you both try it then?" right after he himself had muttered something about wanting to try the game with sungho.
sungho, who was well aware of the intentions of the two and the likely outcome if either of them actually tried the game with him on camera was quick to shut the idea down and tried to move on quickly.
sungho was fed up with their constant teasing and increasingly bold behavior when it came to him.

later, after the shoot, he decided to approach the pair away from the members and staff. he had managed to find a semi-secluded corner where they would definitely be left uninterrupted before he grabbed them both by the wrists and dragged them away from everyone.
"you two." he said, dropping their wrists and crossing his arms like a scolding mother.
"you two have got to learn some self control. its getting out of hand, seriously"
the pair glanced between each other and them to sungho in front of them.
taesan raised an eyebrow in a challenging manner, "what do you mean by that, sungho hyung?" a smirk dancing on the corner of his lips.
sungho, who was already frustrated spit out a reply,
"you know exactly what i mean! you and jaehyun have been all over me this comeback! on screen, at the dorms, wherever you feel like you both just torment me all the time."
jaehyun at least had the decency show that he felt the slightest bit of remorse despite the grin on his face, taesan however, stood there with that same teasing look on his face that always managed to get sungho riled up.
jaehyun placed a calm hand on sungho's shoulder "yeppi... im sorry but i really just cant help it. you look so so good this comeback its hard to keep my eyes off you, let alone my hands!" jaehyun said, attempting to put on his token sad puppy-like face he would always use to guilt trip sungho.
sungho quickly swatted his hand away "stop it! the only thing different about me is my hair. seriously, what do i need to do for you two to stop"
taesan and jaehyun fall silent, tension building so thick it was tangible as they both give eachother knowing looks. jaehyun gives taesan a silent signal, an unspoken agreement and sungho cant help but feel like hes walked straight into a trap.
"well for starters its not just your hair, but thats definitely part of it. i mean its so pretty and pink and long! but anyway..." he pauses, glancing back over to taesan who gives a nod of confirmation. sungho gulps nervously. "let us play the pepero game with you, it can be in private if you want. after that we'll leave you alone, pinky promise"
jaehyun says this with a sly smirk on his face, holding his pinky up. sungho glances over at taesan who looks all too relaxed as he stands there observing the two.
"seriously?"
taesan nods, breaking his silence
"we swear hyung. we just wanna test something out... nothing bad i promise." he says, jaehyun shaking his head in agreeance and sending sungho mockingly flirty winks.
and for the very first time since debuting, sungho wonders why he wanted to be an idol so bad.
