Rhaenyra's chambers smelled heady.
He supposed the proper way to say it would be the Queen's chambers now, but for all of his life there had only ever been one queen, and that was his mother. She was a queen in ways of the historical queens, though - an obedient wife, birthing heirs for the King. Rhaenyra wasn't that type of Queen.
He knew he was focusing so hard on semantics because he still felt like he was days dead. That fact that he lived long enough to see their father's crown rest on Rhaenyra's brow still shocked him, though he was one of the first to take a knee for the new queen. Perhaps she knew he had never wanted it. Perhaps he was so pathetic she didn't even see him as a threat now.
Perhaps Aemond - of all people - betraying the Greens had shocked her just as much as it had the rest of Westeros to the point that she had forgotten about him until here, tonight, almost a sennight after her coronation.
Would she really kill him now? Everyone knew Helaena was never in danger and Aemond had more than bought his own freedom and pardon by fighting for the Queen and, somehow, managing to make her son fall madly in love with him underneath everyone else's noses. But Aegon? He wasn't lovable like his little sister or fierce and unexpectedly loyal like his younger brother. Aegon was useless. Had always been.
Evidently not useless enough to spare.
There was wine on the table and Aegon filled a goblet, though as he raised it to his mouth the smell of it soured before he could take a sip. He scoffed, setting it down on the table with a clang. His hands didn't shake but he couldn't bring himself to indulge in his only comfort. Ridiculous.
He had no idea what Their Graces were doing that took them so long after he was announced and left alone in their sitting room, but he was weary and wary and his abdomen was cramping in that way that he loathed. He had no wish to play these games with Rhaenyra and Daemon. If they brought him here to kill him then let them be on with it. His life buying his siblings' isn't a terrible deal, and with his grandsire and mother imprisoned and his only wretched purpose kicked neatly aside by Rhaenyra's stockinged feet, he was quite rudderless these days.
Finally the doors to their bedchamber opened and Rhaenyra strode out, hair long and loose around her shoulders and clad only in a nightgown and an open robe. He swallowed quietly; he had never seen his older sister in anything other than court finery, perfectly polished and put together even when she was days away - or days from - the birthing bed.
"Aegon," She said, smiling, and if he wasn't excruciatingly aware of how sober he was (had been, for the past two weeks, though he couldn't fathom why wine suddenly disgusted him) he would've thought she said it with warmth.
"Your Grace." He nodded his head in a bow.
"Such sweet manners, nephew." Daemon appeared behind her as if a ghost, giving him a second shock by also being dressed for comfort in a loose tunic and trousers, feet bare and hair hanging down in his back. He shifted where he stood, suddenly feeling stuffy in his jeweled tunic, still deep black in mourning for the King.
"Thank you for coming, little brother." Rhaenyra said, coming over and clasping his hands in her own. It wasn't until hers were wrapped around his that he realized how cold his own hands were.
"You have need of me?" He kept his voice inflectionless, though not bleak. Let them not think him miserable. This was the best future available to all of them, for the good of the family; what did it matter if he was the only one left unhappy?
"In a way." Daemon chuckled, walking up to join the conversation, both of them standing in front of him closer than he thinks he had ever been to them in his entire life. The force of their attention on him was staggering. He could feel his cheeks flushing against his will.
"First, I wanted to thank you." Rhaenyra said, distracting him from his shame with bewilderment. "For holding so steadfast over these last days. Your loyalty has been a boon and has strengthened our House immeasurably."
He was silent for a moment, but something about the closeness of them, the softness, and the late hour had his mouth opened, words pouring from him. "I never wanted it." He said, words rasping, stomach cramping, and if hadn't grown used to them over his life it would've doubled him over. He had always been weak to pain. "You have to know I never wanted it."
"Oh," Rhaenyra said, reaching up to rest a hand on his cheek. The force of emotion that brought in him made him want to gag; the sweetness was too much. "I know, sweet boy. But I also know what destructive loyalty feels like. How ruinous it can be to want to please those that cannot be pleased."
Her words pierced him like a dagger to the heart. Daemon stood, just gazing at him, silent and listening and the steadiness of him gave him the courage to open his mouth again.
"I knew I would never be enough for her." He said quietly. "I've known for years. But as hard as I tried, I couldn't stop…trying." He said, helplessly, and looking into Rhaenyra's eyes he could see she understood in a way no one else could.
"I should've been here for you." She whispered, guilt in her voice and her eyes. "I was your big sister. I was supposed to be here."
He didn't have anything to say to that.
"It's over now." Daemon said, and Aegon could barely see him lifting a hand to rest on Rhaenyra's lower back. "Now, we have time to fix things."
"Will you help us fix things, Aegon?" Rhaenyra asked, and he could see why so many went to war for her. Risked their lives for just a chance to be in her presence, to have that placid, magnificent gaze turned upon them. It almost felt like benediction.
"I-" He started, stuttering, and licked his lips. "I can't…do anything. I don't know how I can be of help to you."
Daemon and Rhaenyra shared a glance, one of those quick, secret things that only long-married and long-loved couples could manage.
"Aegon the First did not conquer the Seven Kingdoms on a whim." Rhaenyra said, and then the whole bloody story was told.
He found himself fairly reeling as she finished her explanation, barely noticing Daemon's hand on his shoulder and pushing him down into a chair. A prophecy, a dagger, a lie. The ruin of their house; the ruin of the world.
"I don't understand." He finally whispered. "How can I…" He trailed off, because what could he even say? This was so much bigger than him. He felt as small as most mortals must've felt under the shadow of Balerion. "How can I serve?" He said, for lack of a better word to use.
Rhaenyra dropped down to kneel in front of him and, panicked at her doing such an action while so heavy with child, he reached out as if to steady her. Daemon smiled over her shoulder but he barely noticed, too distracted by the intense look on his sister's face.
"We don't know when the Long Night will come, brother. Only that it will." She whispered, and he shivered with a cold that he knew wasn't actually real. "Our family must sit the throne, and there must be many dragonriders prepared to fight the dark."
Another cramp rolled through him, and he understood.
"You wish me to marry." He said, a touch dull.
A beat of silence. "Not exactly." Daemon said.
Rhaenyra pushed herself to her feet with her grip on his wrists, having taken them in hold while she whispered to him. He held them steady out of instinct.
"We do need more Targaryens. A sprawling lineage, if we can manage it. As many dragons and riders as possible." Queen Rhaenyra I said, as if they were gathered around the Small Council table. "But make no mistake in that we almost went to war. The Greens did have allies, both bold and secret. I do not trust any family in Westeros enough to marry anyone outside of the family. Perhaps in the next generation, but not you and your siblings, nor my remaining children."
Aegon blinked. That did seem reasonable, but now he was lost again. "Then what-"
Rhaenyra tucked her fingers under his chin, a soft pressure that had him rising to his feet before he even realized he was doing it. She stepped close, Daemon following, until they were pressed into three points, sharing breath.
"We know, brother." She said, softly, but panic skittered down his spine regardless. The pains his family had gone through to hide the fact that he was an omega were immense. Intricate and hypocritical plans that dictated much of his life of hiding, and shame. For a time they rested all their hopes on Aemond, until he followed in step. Queen Alicent was only able to bear omegas, it would seem.
"There is no need for shame." Daemon said quietly, firmly, as if him saying it could make it so. "Your sister is an omega, and just as strong and fierce as any alpha, any King."
"What do you want from me?" He whispered, hoarse and defeated.
Rhaenyra pressed her body to his, and he felt a heat in his belly that had nothing to do with his cycle. She rested their foreheads together.
"Will you serve your Queen, Aegon?" She whispered, and then he suddenly felt hands on his waist. Rhaenyra's hands were cradling his face, so they could only be Daemon's. "Will you provide for your House?" A strong chest pressed against his back, the barest whisper of lips on his neck.
"Give us hatchlings, brother." She swayed with him, her hands creeping down to the laces on his tunic but not unlacing them, not yet. "Daemon's seed is strong. He will give you fierce, dragonriding children."
His throat went dry. Daemon's hands hadn't moved from his waist but they were a heavy, forboding presence. A haze crept into his mind though he knew he wasn't drunk on anything but the Queen and King.
"But-the court-"
"Let me handle the court." She said, soothingly, and for a moment he thought she could do it. Could wave away all rules of propriety and decency so he could walk around the Red Keep, heavy with their uncle's children, and not be accosted by even the whisper of gossip and scandal.
It was impossible to imagine. It was impossible to deny her.
"Mandia." He said, helpless, and her smile was like the rising sun. She heard the acceptance in his voice, his loyal cedeing to her wishes. She untied the knot of his tunic with fingers just as Daemon crept his hands around to the ties of his trousers.
They undressed him not slowly, but gently. They were treating him like a shaking foal, like to run, and he knew if he were anyone else in the world that treatment should incense him. It should insult him, being treated like glass that might shatter at any moment.
He wasn't anyone, though. He was soft, pathetic Aegon, and he couldn't help but bask in being treated gently.
Rhaenyra pulled his tunic over his head, running her hands over his chest. He wasn't as plump as an omega who had beared a child, rather skinny in most respects due to never having the mind to eat when he needed to, but Rhaenyra seemed to find no fault in him.
He was so distracted by her hands skimming his chest, his nipples, that he didn't notice Daemon had unlaced his trousers until he slipped his fingers underneath the waistline, ready to pull them down.
"Wait!" He blurted, and to their credit, Daemon and Rhaenyra froze immediately, their hands ceasing any movement.
"Aegon?" Rhaenyra whispered, asking without words, and he was already shaking his head to deny her silent question.
"It's not that, it's just-" His face enflamed. "My…my moonblood is-" He cut himself off out of sheer embarassment, and Rhaenyra's face relaxed a bit knowing she hadn't given unwelcome touch upon him.
Daemon chuckled next to his ear. "Worry not, nephew." He pressed a kiss to the back of his neck. "Fire and blood, hm? It will not scare me away."
Daemon always spoke with such conviction. Aegon could only bite his lip and let his uncle push his trousers down. Daemon set a steadying hand on his hip so he could step out of them, and he deliberately ignored the blood-stained cloth set into his underclothes. He could feel it dried, tacky, between his legs. He had never felt more exposed in his life.
Then there were hands on his face, and Rhaenyra was kissing him.
His mind went blank. He had practiced kissing with both of his siblings, all of them too curious and all forbidden from brothels or dalliances, so he knew the general mechanics. Those were educational, though, empty of passion. Rhaenyra kissed him like a firestorm; hot, overwhelming, and gripping him so tight he couldn't escape if he wanted to.
He barely felt the wet cloth between his legs as Daemon cleaned him off, obviously having noticed his discomfort just as Rhaenyra had and seeking to relieve him of it. Tears dotted his eyes. What a petty discomfort, and still he relieved him of it.
He would be tasting Rhaenyra for days, and he chased after her for a moment after she pulled away. "Come." She said, pulling at his hand, and he followed, helpless.
Their bed was much larger than his own. He was relieved to see it was completely different from the bed their father had died in; even the frame had been replaced. Rhaenyra shed her own clothing, and he couldn't help but marvel at the sight of her, swollen with child and glowing from within. Rhaenyra was beautiful always, but there was a certain magic about her when she was with child. As if this is how she was always meant to be. A giver of life, blessing them with her presence.
She climbed onto the bed, propping the pillows up just so so she could recline on them, curling her legs underneath her belly to lounge. She held her arms out.
"Come, valonqar." She said. "Rest your head in my lap."
He could hear Daemon doing things behind him as he crawled onto the bed, likely pulling his own clothes off, and his heart crept into his throat as he laid his head on his sister's plush, firm thighs. She leaned over him, hair forming a curtain hiding him from the rest of the world. The bed dipped as Daemon set a knee on it and he gasped involuntarily.
"Shh," She said, tracing her fingers down his face like one might to soothe a babe. Hands gripped his thighs, not harsh, but heavy. "Daemon and I enjoy a bit of roughness in bed occasionally, but he's under orders to be gentle with you, little brother." She bent down to kiss him upside down, lingering as Daemon lifted his thighs and pillow went under his hips, before she finally pulled back and he had to face it.
Daemon loomed over him, body corded with scars and muscles alike. He was a perfect Alpha, strong and domineering, and a throb of want rippled from between his legs. Aegon had always had a stronger appetite than his mother said an omega should. Through lack of better options he and his brother had rolled around in bed together occasionally, but Aemond's libido was much lower than his own, and he was never truly satisfied.
Daemon's hands were on his upper thighs, spreading him, and he realized that by now he must have bled more, blood mixing with slick to stain his cunt. Daemon had already said he didn't care, but it didn't stop him from holding his breath as he slid two fingers between his folds, petting over his hole.
Rhaenyra rested her hands loosely on his chest, and when he glanced up he saw her gaze hungrily devoring what she could see of his cunt, watching as Daemon eased a finger inside. Her nipples were hard, and as he squinted in the low light he could see two tiny beads of moisture beading from the tips. His mouth suddenly felt unreasonably dry.
Daemon added a second finger and his back arched without his permission, the stretch being felt in earnest now.
"Shh," Daemon shushed him this time, his other hand coming forward to rub his sweet spot, and this time Aegon couldn't hold back a moan. His hips canted up into his uncle's hands, and Daemon's chuckle sounded more appreciative than mocking.
"That's it." Rhaenyra soothed, shifting her legs under them, and Aegon knew if he checked she'd also be dripping.
Daemon stretched him thoroughly, knowing it was his first time taking both cock and a knot, but soon enough he was lining himself up.
"…big." He muttered, trying not to sound afraid, and Daemon's smirk was wicked.
"Hush, uncle." Rhaenyra scolded, stroking his cheeks. "Do not worry, Aegon. You will enjoy it, I promise you."
And Daemon pressed in, reaching so deep inside him he thought he could feel him in his throat. He let out a moan more like a sob, hands coming up to grip Rhaenyra's thighs.
"Good boy." She breathed, reaching down and brushing her thumbs over his nipples. Daemon kept one hand always rubbing at his sweet spot as he eased himself in and out, intentionally slowing himself for Aegon's comfort. He felt delirious. The first time such consideration was shown to him and it was while his uncle fucked a baby into him while his wife, Aegon's sister, watched and encouraged them.
Eventually something in him loosened, unclenched, and the glide was smoother, Aegon's cunt stretching to take him easier. Daemon sensed this changed and let out a groan, leaning forward to really start to fuck into him now. The bed jostled under them, causing Rhaenyra's hair to sway above him, and he could feel her breathing heavier as if she was the one getting fucked.
"Fuck, Aegon." Daemon hissed, and another helpless moan tumbled from his lips. His hips were rolling clumsily into Daemon's trying to match his movements, and he could feel his pleasure building to a peak with every snap of Daemon's hips.
The first time he felt Daemon's knot starting to catch on his rim, he threw his head back and came with a wail.
Rhaenyra held him through it, pinching his nipples and squeezing his teats to draw out the pleasure and for a moment he could swear he blacked out. When he came back his body was still jostling with Daemon's thrusts, his uncle seeking to breed him with a single-minded determination.
Eventually, an eternity later, his knot caught. Aegon whined at the feel of it, and Daemon half collapsed to claim Aegon's lips himself this time, holding him still as he seed unloaded inside him, filling him so full he thought he might burst with it. Surely this would be enough to put a pup in his belly.
Eventually Daemon pulled out and pulled back, putting gentle hands on Aegon's knees and guiding them up to his chest, directing him to wrap his arms around them and keep them there.
"Only for a little while." Rhaenyra promised. "To make sure the seed takes."
And, as Rhaenyra gently extracted herself so Daemon could pleasure her with his mouth, he hoped it did. He hoped his belly would swell with Daemon's babes, little dragons to come and make their house even stronger. He hoped, after he gave birth, they would pull him back into this room and into this bed so Daemon could breed him again, and again, and again, as many times as he could handle.
He walked into these rooms expecting death. This, he thought, as Rhaenyra let him lower his legs but left the pillow to elevate his hips, pulling the covers over all three of them so they could cuddle together and rest, was much more than he ever could've hoped for.
