Maybell goes missing into a dark forest next to the village.
Mike goes to forest where she went missing to try and find her during night as no one is willing to go in to search for her and it is to only time that he can go looking for her without being watched for unknown reasons to him that he guesses was a watch so that his parents also don’t lose him to entering the forest in going after his sister.
As he sneaks off closer a rustle startles him, he turns around panicked and catches sight of his best friend Jaylyn, says he knew that he would come this way and that to at least keep a look out for him he is coming along.
They travel through the eerie forest, get the creeps, feel disturbingly watched, paranoid, glimpses of something shadow following them brushes of as trick of the light. Spots through dark foliage a glitter that when cautiously followed revealed to have been his sisters pocket watch that she never takes off as it is a gift from their grandparents before they passed.
See this Mike panics and started hurriedly calling out Maybell’s name, and when they both hear a voice that is distorted but sounded like Maybell chases after it with Jaylyn calling back saying something is wrong and that they need to turn back, screaming that there was no way that the voice they just heard was human.
As reach clearing deep, deep into forest Jaylyn catches Mickes hand and say they need to run back now Mike says he’s not leaving without his sister and hears her voice just on the other side of the clearing happily calls out to her and starts walking forward with Jaylyn still holding his hand but stops as a face close to his sister steps out distorted, wrong, and molded, with its neck stretched out and arms lanky and unnatural that seems to be mimicking his sisters voice, slowly making is way towards them before screaming a wretched sound that resonates in their bones as it charges on unnatural fours and a disfigured clawed hand reaches and scratches Mikes arm badly.
Jaylyn then quickly drags Mike sideways as he screams run with a pale sickly face as the bolt between the trees, just escaping the beastly creature as it struggles after them as it keeps crashing into trees and logs showing how it is disorganized in movement and uncoordinated.
As a way to split up Jaylyn says to run another direction as he is faster and will have a better chance at out running it and getting Mike safely to the village first with him close behind. As they split up Jaylyn calls out gaining the things attention, as it screams and screeches at the same time following his path, not long after Mike keeps running, he hears a horrific screech that sound like his friend but can do nothing but keep running hoping to make it out.
As he run the sound of the forest get quiet and just as he starts to panic more, he sees the entrance of the forest that leads to the village and starts screaming for help and he gets closer to leaving, however he falls as a hand reaches out and starts dragging him back fast as he struggles screaming for help getting knocked unconscious and he ripped across the forest floor. Ravens then fly away as the sun returns to the village, a cold and daunting light of a start of a new day.
