Chapter Text
2 days...
2 whole days since he'd seen anyone...
Frak simply couldn't believe his mentor, his sensei, had passed on...
"Why... Why..." He sat with his head in his hands, sobbing, drenching his jacket with his tears. Each tear falling away in silence, exactly like how he wanted to hide from the world, a shattered soul swallowed by grief. His tail coiled around him tightly, the only solid connection between him and the world around him. But then...
Knock... Knock...
"Frak, Are you in there?" It was Arin's voice, his lifelong friend.
But Frak didn't answer...
Later in the day there was another noise from outside his room...
Knock, knock... Knock, knock...
"Frak?" It was Sora's voice, she spoke so comfortingly, yet she also sounded defeated. Frak blushes slightly when hearing her voice. "I know you might not be in the mood to talk, but I just want you to know that you're not alone... We're all grieving Lloyd... And we're all here for each other... So if you ever wanna talk, I'm here, we all are..." Frak stayed silent, listening to his crush's voice, then her footsteps as she walked away.
Alone again...
The silence evident...
You could hear a pin drop...
Frak couldn't really feel anything but grief in the moment...
And a slight knot in his gut...
"Mmm..." He mumbled, thinking he was probably just exhausted or maybe a bit hungry and dehydrated from the crying. He reaches for a protein bar in his pocket, taking a bite out of it with his sharp fangs...
Nothing...
He takes another bite...
Nothing again...
No sense of hunger receding or expanding...
Just a slightly stronger feeling of the knot in his gut...
Frak decides he must just be sleepy, and decides to take a nap.
He removes his jacket, revaling the tank top below, tossing it on the floor beside his bed. He lays down, staring at the ceiling...
Staring...
Silently staring...
Eventually, his eyelids grow heavy...
Heavier...
Silently heavier...
His eyes shut finally, sinking into sleep...
Sinking...
Silently sinking...
