Work Text:
Their glasses clinked together and Felix shouted something that Wolfgang didn't bother to try to hear as he took his shot. He had the noise of the club and seven other surroundings to work through and it just really didn't matter that fucking much to him. He set the shot glass down and took another drink of beer, humming as he looked around. Felix was chattering about, probably due to that woman who gave him an extra long look as soon as they entered the club.
It was a decent night, club packed but not too packed so he didn't feel like there was a layer of stranger's sweat coating his skin. He was sure it'd pick up in a couple hours, but if he got enough drinks in him soon, he'd be ready to go before it got annoying. Felix was another matter, but they didn't need to be attached at the hip every second, plus it would probably be easier if Felix was away from Wolfgang, so people didn't fuck up and think they were together, it'd happened more than once.
As that thought drifted through Wolfgang's head, he heard Kala gasp and then Lito was by his side with Kala beside him.
"Did you tell him what Lito said he did?" Kala asked her boyfriend.
"Why does it matter? They're all dead anyway." Wolfgang asked, the noise of the club drowning it out... but it wasn't like he really gave a shit if anyone thought he was crazy anyway.
"He should still know." Kala asserted, arms crossing over her chest.
"I agree, it does not matter who is around to spread the lie, he should know it was even said." Lito nodded.
With his whole "no more lies" thing, Wolfgang found it annoying but not in a mean way. He took an extra moment to think and drink.
"If you don't tell him, I will." Kala finally said, pulling the glass out of his hand. "If someone told lies about you, wouldn't you want to know?"
"No." Wolfgang answered honestly.
The two sighed and Wolfgang rolled his eyes.
"Fine, fine, I'll tell him."
He turned to Felix, settling his arm on the bar and his hip against one of the seats. It took an extra moment for Felix to stop talking, but when he finally did, he looked at Wolfgang with furrowed brows.
"Wolfie, you look serious. When you get serious, I get shot." Felix informed him.
He moved closer so they could talk better, leaning against the bar as well. He prepared himself for whatever trouble they had found themselves in again; he just hoped he wouldn't even up in a coma this time.
"Remember how I told you that I blew Steiner up with a rocket launcher?"
"Yeah, it was fucking awesome." Felix laughed and nodded.
"There is something I didn't tell you. I didn't think it mattered since they're all fucking dead, but I guess you should at least know." Wolfgang told him, sighing again.
"Ok...?" Felix said with furrowed brows. "You're freaking me out, Wolfie."
"I told Steiner we cracked the safe but he didn't believe me. He was beating the shit out of me and I just needed a little bit of room to get the gun I had stashed so I... let him think you blew the guy to get the code to the safe. He asked and I just said you did what you had to do."
Felix was not expecting anything like that. For a long moment he just blinked as he processed what was said.
Finally, a huge laugh left him. His head fell back and his entire body shook from the force of it. Wolfgang looked at his two clustermates before back at his oldest friend.
"Is this what we were expecting to happen?" Lito asked.
Kala just shrugged.
"That's so fucking funny, I wish I had seen his stupid fucking face, thinking I did what he couldn't, what he was too much of a pussy to do." Felix laughed.
She didn't mean to, but Kala took over Wolfgang to ask:
"You don't mind that they thought you had done that?"
"Why would I? I like having my cock sucked, why would sucking cock be a bad thing?" Felix asked like it was simple.
"You've called people cocksuckers before." Wolfgang pointed out, unsure how Felix had used it as an insult but didn't see it as one when used on him.
"Yeah, because they find it insulting. A guy who constantly talks about having sex will get called a virgin, an astrology chick will get called a Pisces, someone who always wears hats will get called bald. You have to insult the things people already find insulting, Wolfie, it changes person to person." Felix informed him, imparting wisdom onto his friend like some sage teacher. "Like, I'd never call you a cocksucker because you don't find it insulting and you do it all the time."
Kala flushed and Lito hid his laugh behind his hand.
"I don't do it all the time." Wolfgang rolled his eyes.
"Whatever." Felix waved it off as he turned back to the bartender.
He ordered more shots and sat on one of the stools. Another laugh took him over just as the shots arrived.
"Fucking Steiner, what a fucking moron." He chuckled and took the shot.
Wolfgang chuckled along with him as he sat next to Felix and took his own.
"I have such a time understanding that man." Kala sighed softly as she watched them.
Lito just nodded along.
