Chapter Text

For Izuku, life sucked, well at least for the first 13 years.

It all started when he was four years old, that’s the age normal people get quirks. But Izuku, he wasn’t normal. At age four the doctors discovered that he was quirkless. They said that he had an extra toe joint in his pinky toe.

And for the first time in his life, he wasn’t happy, and though this was the first, it certainly wasn’t the last.

8 years later

“Dang nerd,” Oh no, it was Bakugo and his minions..

“…..”

“Cat got your tongue, speak up you damn normie”
Bakugo thought that would make him talk, but that wasn’t enough anymore. He’s numb.

Judging by Bakugo’s body language, Izuku had thought that Bakugo was finished today, but oh how wrong he was.

Just as he was walking away- “BOOM”

“That’s what you get bitch,” “Speak up for once, it’s pathetic seeing you this careless”

“S-sorry kacchan!” The boy with green, messy hair said. He hoped he would leave him alone, just this once?

It had already been a hard week, he hadn’t seen his mom in days. Plus there was so much homework that he needed to do, he’d ask the other students about the unusual amount, but they don’t like him. Heck, no one does…

“Tch, I don’t think you actually mean it.” The cold boy exclaimed.

“Maybe we need to teach you a lesson, you’ve been really sassy lately…”

“I-I really do!,” “I am sorry I am!” Before the boy could catch his breath, the group of kids started running at him, and it definitely wasn’t friendly.

.

.

.

He had been running for over ten minutes, thankfully the boy had a lot of stamina from running from classmates all the time.

Those extra gym laps must’ve helped too.

Eventually, he’d reached an alleyway, he hadn’t been there before, but he knew there was an apartment complex nearby. He decided to aim for that, maybe there would be a lobby to hide in, maybe someone would help him. But let’s be honest if anyone knew who he was, they’d leave in an instant.

Just as he started running out of breath he had reached the apartment complex. There were the dumpsters there, but while he catched his breath this would have to do.

“Uhh kid, do you live here” *Izuku jumps*.
That must’ve been one of the residents, oh no, they might think he’s a creep or something!

But just as the boy with a mop of hair got lost in thought, the voice called again.

“Kid, are you okay?”
“Y-yeah! Sorry I uhh d-don’t live in this complex…”

Izuku went to turn away. He knew what would happen, Bakugo and his buddies would be standing there, right beside the corner, waiting for him to come.

He was scared, who wouldn’t be. But he couldn’t bother this random man, he can’t be fined for trespassing, his mom would be so disappointed and embarrassed… I mean, it’s not like she wouldn’t be either way, but that’s besides the point.

“Hey kid, wait. You’re bruised, and clearly trembling.” “My husband is an amazing person, I know he wouldn’t mind.” “But you’re definitely not fine, I think in my 2_ years of living I would know.”

“Sir, I-it’s fine, I don’t want to be a burden, it’s almost dinner, you and your husband must have plans”

“I’m fine!” “..really..”
The boy exclaimed while fidgeting with his too large uniform. Obviously scared.

“Kid I know you’re kidding, if you don’t feel comfortable, that’s fine.” “But please, let me get my first aid kit, I live super close!”

And with that, he was suddenly waiting outside of a man’s house. He knew the man didn’t mind, but he couldn’t help but feel guilty…

“I shouldn't have come here..” the scared, trembling boy muttered.

“Pardon?” The man heard him, he just wanted to make sure.

“N-nothing, sorry!” The young man quickly realized that he must’ve heard…

The boy thinks to himself, wait a minute, he seems familiar…” eraserhead?”

The pro hero looked surprised, “oh I didn’t know people knew me, but yeah I am eraserhead but anyway I need to fix your wounds.”

The boy looked terrified, he had just met his second favorite pro-hero!

But, it just had to be now.

.

.

.

After the Pro stitched up his wounds, he realized he’d been out here for 1 hour. At least his mom wouldn’t be home to notice. It’s not like she would care anyway…

“Thank you eraserhead, again sorry for interrupting!”
The slightly less scared boy exclaims. “I hope you have a good night!”

“No problem, and call me Aizawa, I’m not on patrol so you can use my normal civilian name.”

“O-okay! Goodbye Mr. Aizawa, and again, thank you for bandaging my wounds!”
