A contractual one-night stand with the vampire lord led to what?!

Summary:

Xia Fei hadn't expected any of this. This, being his status of being kind-of-engaged-to-a-vampire.

Months had passed since their first meeting, and both parties were quite enthusiastic about the relationship's development. Soon, Xia Fei was intending to become a vampire himself. Then, if everything went according to a vaguely-defined plan, they could proceed with the mating ritual.

It was the first thing Xia Fei's looked forward to in a long time. Something he chose for himself, and not demanded of him. It was a pleasant change, and has given Xia Fei a few things to be grateful for. Mainly, his kind, eccentric partner. Luckily, there's more than one way for Xia Fei to show his gratitude.

Notes:

Happy birthday Vein! Here's your hot (but also very silly and cute) newly-turned vampire husband for 5.5k.

I think over half of my posted fics now are slightly kinky smut, which is somewhat embarrassing but also amusing. It's a good distraction from existential crises and depressing angst that I usually write, at least. Also, I'm gotta help feed my comrades in some of these tags.

Btw, I watched multiple videos on shibari for maybe three or four sentences, so I hope it's at least a little bit accurate. I tried, at least. The image of XF intricately tied up is... aesthetically pleasing.

Chapter Text

“Felix, enough sulking.”

Heh. “Easy for you to say...”

Vein did not deem that comment worthy of a response.

Xia Fei was in a mood. Not because of rude vampires, but because his father was throwing a hissy fit about the amount of time he’s been spending at the coven lately. Frankly, it was more than a little ridiculous, considering it had all been his idea in the first place. Xia Fei wasn’t expecting his father to suddenly acknowledge his son’s absence, and he already knew it was just for the political power-play.

The more Xia Fei thought about it, the more irritated he became. Hence, he was now angrily muttering as he failed to solve beginner-level physics and math problems; frustration building with each incorrect solution and proof.

Behind the wide desk by the window, Xia Fei slumped over in defeat. Fuck relativistic carts. Fuck relative frames. Fuck longitudinal forces.

“I think you’ll be pleased to hear this.”

“Is it evidence that the ground frame and cart frame are equal? If it isn’t, I’m not interested.”

“Better. Your father’s complaints have been... dealt with.”

Xia Fei’s eyes widened, and he spun in the high-quality swivel chair to face Vein, who had crossed the room in an instant to loomed over him. Xia Fei looked up after their knees bumped together.

“You mean...?”

“He won’t bother you anymore. We’ll start when you’re ready.”

“I’ve been ready. Can we do it now?”

“So forward~ You were never so demanding before,” Vein chuckled, not at all surprised by Xia Fei’s insistence. He’d been fixated on Vein turning him for some time now. No one in the coven had the guts to object, so the only obstacle left had been Xia Fei’s father. Now that that problem had been addressed, there was nothing stopping him from the first of two steps in becoming his lover’s mate.

The elder council agreed without a fuss after the initial three month pause in Vein’s “erratic behaviour” following his first night with Xia Fei. The human had made it a habit to hang around, and his effect on their leader was obvious to anyone with eyes or ears. Sometimes, painfully so.

Unfortunately, for reasons that did actually make sense, Xia Fei needed to become a vampire before he was mated. First, because the human body is fragile and mortality is a constant issue. Everyone found that out the hard way after Xia Fei had been jumped by a few fools from an extremist branch. No one wished to see a repeat of the bloodshed that followed. Vein had been all too willing to demonstrate the extent of his wrath to anyone who dared to harm Xia Fei.

Second, mating between two beings with significantly different lifespans was unadvised by all clans, as the death of one partner often led to the irreversible physical and psychological decay of the other. It was one of the few common points between the majority of species in the region. No one wanted Vein more “unstable” than he already appeared.

Luckily, Xia Fei was so enthusiastic about the idea that he pestered Vein for weeks after it came up in conversation. Anyone else would have had their tongue removed, at least temporarily. Vein’s blatant favouritism was... certainly something.

The next words in his mouth were halted by Vein’s next words: “And don’t try to blame me for it.”

Oops. He got distracted. What was it Vein had said? Something related, surely. Xia Fei wasn’t worried about the pain. He could handle that just fine.

“Is that a no?”

Vein’s light smile softened his eyes. “As if I could deny you.”

Xia Fei got a hold of Vein’s collar and pulled him down for a kiss. Xia Fei did not get back to the physics headache for quite a while.

“You’re joking.”

Vein simply stared at him, bemused, and it was enough of an answer.

“That’s literally a film cliché. You can’t be serious.”

“I’ll be sure to bury you gently.”

“Oh my god...” It was so cheesy. It was ridiculous. Newly-turned vampires had to be bitten, take in the blood of a vampire, then be killed and buried, only to dig themselves out of the ground like a horror movie.

“You’re willing to let me die temporarily?”

“Naturally. It’s part of the process. No one else will lay their hands on you, unless they want to lose them.”

So Vein was going to ‘gently’ kill him after biting him and feeding him his blood. Then bury him in his backyard. Xia Fei wasn’t even scared, just ready to burst out in laughter at the idea of it all.

Ridiculous, indeed.

Xia Fei lied. He was nervous. Not about the dying part, since he was supposed to come back to life after, and he has learned to trust Vein with his life (death?). But what if something goes wrong? What if he can’t dig himself out? Would he just suffocate underground? Would he get one of those little coffin bells? Would it mess with the process?

The weirdest part somehow, despite the general absurdity, was doing it all outside. There was a plain little area of land beside the rest of the coven garden that he would be using. Considering how most of Vein’s feeding occurred during sex, it felt odd to do it in a place where anyone could see. Xia Fei wasn't too enthusiastic about exhibitionism, after all. For all of his own shamelessness, Vein tended to respect Xia Fei’s limits.

There were a few windows nearby, and the moonlight meant that any passing vampire could observe the ritual. Or Vein could have started a rumour that he would pluck out the eyes of anyone who dared to do so. Either option seemed realistic.

On a cold October night, under a waxing crescent moon, Xia Fei wore a white cotton shirt and old jeans. The bloodstains would show on the shirt, and Vein was quite insistent on seeing it. Weirdo.

As the moonlight was momentarily blocked by clouds, Vein’s fangs pierced his neck. The familiar sting calmed his nerves, and he relaxed in his partner’s arms as if it were a normal embrace. It was for them, in a way.

Unlike his norm, Vein drank quite a lot. So much that Xia Fei felt dizzy by the time he pulled away. Vein didn’t let go of him, an arm secured around his waist, as he raised his own wrist to his mouth to offer his own blood to Xia Fei. It was cool against his lips, and the taste of iron filled his mouth as he swallowed it down. Some ran down his chin, dripping down his neck and blooming into scattered red petals along his collar.

Vein kissed him softly one last time. Then, he clinically snapped Xia Fei’s neck. It was so sudden that Xia Fei barely felt any pain before everything went dark. It was something he recalled later, after waking underground in his new form.

He breathed in some dirt, so used to the need to breathe despite his newly reduced need to do so. It’s not that he didn’t need to, per se, but it was less crucial for vampires than for humans.

Digging himself out of the shallow grave was taxing, especially for his newly transformed body. He was weak, too, not having fed yet. Plus, the dirt was heavy and hard to move from below. It took over an hour to surface. Even then, Xia Fei couldn’t stand—new blood still figuring out how to move through his body. After falling on his ass twice while attempting to walk, Vein made the executive decision to simply pick him up and carry him inside, directly to his room, where he bathed the half-awake Xia Fei and tucked him into bed to rest, sans garden dirt. Xia Fei would be embarrassed, but he was seriously out of it.

If only Vein’s enemies could see him now.

Xia Fei, in his semi-conscious state, wondered whether or not he was dreaming. It wasn’t that Vein never treated him gently—far from it. But he usually did it with an air of nonchalance, not with this... excessively doting expression. Xia Fei kind of wished he could take a picture, as proof that it happened.

Vein fed him a bit more blood before Xia Fei fully passed out. Really, was reanimation really supposed to feel like getting hit by a truck?

The real mating ritual, for what it’s worth, involved a cycle of mutual blood-drinking and a weird potion. Xia Fei wished he were making this up, but it turns out that vampire romance novels are more accurate than one would think. How ironic that he was pretty much living in one.

Nine days after Xia Fei woke up a newly-transformed vampire, he asked Vein to start. One day later, the vampire acquiesced, and Xia Fei worked up enough confidence to present something of his own. It was no expensive ring, as humans used. Instead, a silver accessory that would show just how formidable his partner was; immune to the effects of silver on most vampires. The crescent moon was to symbolize the night of Xia Fei’s turning and completion of their ritual.

Xia Fei firmly averted his gaze as he nervously held out the necklace in one hand. It was in a fancy little box, covered in a layer of crimson velvet. If he were more sappy, he might relate the choice to his partner’s pretty eyes.

“Oh? For me?”

“Obviously...”

“An engagement gift from my dearest... how fortunate I am~”

Vein was teasing, and Xia Fei knew it. That being said, he might just be softly declining. “You don’t have to wear it.”

“Nonsense.” The red-haired man snatched the box from Xia Fei’s hand in a blur, removing the necklace. He held it out, in a silent request to put it on for him.

“...” That’s that, then.

A little smile was on his face as he turned back around, and offered even more indulgent words. “Thank you, Xia Fei.”

Xia Fei’s own silly expression didn’t fade for the rest of the day.

During one memorable evening, Vein said something completely unhinged without a single qualm: “I wish I could eat you, sometimes. Consume you whole. Then you’d be with me forever, within my own flesh.”

If only Xia Fei could have hidden how flustered he became after hearing that. Perhaps being around Vein so much was turning him into a freak; so much that he found such terrifying words attractive, if not just embarrassingly arousing.

In fact, Vein had gotten rather bold with such declarations as of late. Pushing his limits, just a little, to see how far Xia Fei was willing to stretch them. For him.

“Heh. An alternative can easily be arranged.”

Xia Fei was embarrassed enough at the implication to want to dig his own grave, this time. It didn’t stop Vein from eating him out later.

Vein trapped a very-willing Xia Fei under him between his arms and the hardwood dressing table surface. A moment later, he used one hand to tilt Xia Fei’s chin up, to look at their reflection in the large mirror (as it turns out, vampires do appear in modern mirrors). Xia Fei’s flushed cheeks matched his hazy eyes as his partner finally entered him after what felt like an hour of teasing.

Xia Fei wanted to say he was used to it by now, but the feeling of being stuffed to the brim still overwhelmed him a little. He was granted a few seconds of reprieve, to breathe and adjust, before Vein started moving, slow and measured. It didn’t take long for the pace to quicken, pushing further and further inside every time. With every angle now memorized, the other man’s thrusts were relentless as Xia Fei trembled, each slide in and out nudging him a little closer to completion.

One particularly insistent thought reappeared in his mind. You see, Xia Fei did not have a womb, but with how much Vein was intent on filling him recently, it almost felt as if he were trying to give him a child. The thought was a bit scandalous, and not one that Xia Fei ever dared to imagine before recent changes in his life. But now, the concept was mildly intriguing. He didn’t think either Vein or himself would be interested in actually having one, and it wasn’t biologically feasible, but... They were both far from rational at the moment.

A rough, low voice entered his ear. “Still holding on, darling?”

Xia Fei’s eyes, framed by wet lashes, glanced up at Vein in the mirror. Behind him, his partner did not pause his movements as he stared back with an intense hunger that could never be sated. One that demanded all of Xia Fei, body and soul, in every way imaginable. To be the target of such intense desire remained a novel experience, and it certainly supported Vein’s claims of wanting him by his side forever. How could Xia Fei deny such a man?

Vein spoiled Xia Fei, and everyone was painfully aware of the fact. Xia Fei knew it best, and still couldn’t help feeling embarrassed at being doted on so shamelessly. It also carried over to their physical intimacy, because while Vein certainly enjoyed Xia Fei taking initiative at times, he also often liked to handle everything, ordering Xia Fei to lay back and take what he was given without lifting a finger, like some kind of prince. This treatment in their bedroom was sometimes more embarrassing than their occasional (accidental) PDA.

In contrast, something Xia Fei had noticed from even the first time they met, was Vein’s undisguised arrogance; the unwavering air of dominance over anything around him. As the leader of the vampire clan, a position gained only through blood and violence, it was not surprising. And he wore it absurdly well. So much that Xia Fei’s heart occasionally raced when he put foolish underlings in their place, or talked back to elders without concern for any form of retaliation or consequence. Vein was easily the strongest vampire, and everyone very well knew it.

No one could touch him. Except Xia Fei.

Between the two of them, Vein generally toned it down. He treated Xia Fei differently from the rest, for a number of reasons. One exception was during sex. Xia Fei slowly came to realize after several nights together that he liked Vein taking control.

He also liked those few times where Vein treated him a little more roughly after he turned; far less careful than he had been when Xia Fei’s weak human body would have suffered greatly from that strength. As a vampire, Xia Fei barely bruised with the same treatment. Even if he did, he probably wouldn’t dislike it. Thank the gods, vampirism also gave his stamina a boost. Now, they could go numerous times before one of them got too tired to continue.

Furthermore, they didn’t always reinforce their mating bond during sex, but it wasn’t infrequent either. Occasionally drinking each other’s blood was necessary to maintain the connection, and some of these occasions were far more gentle and mundane. But those that were sexual were often the most exciting.

A more recent discovery, perhaps a month ago, was Vein’s other name. Xiao Weiying. Xia Fei only dared to use it in private, and Vein clearly found the shy attempts cute. Calling him gege also got some strong reactions; not that Xia Fei ever regretted finding out. Just two weeks prior, he started calling Vein “boss” in humorous imitation of his many underlings. Vein enjoyed that particular address as well.

“Save your energy dear, we won’t be done anytime soon.”

Xia Fei half-laughed in response, as Vein drove into him over and over. Just as he felt like he would explode, his partner pulled him up and carried him to their bed without any sign of difficulty, not once extricating himself.

What prayer for salvation? In their moments of passion, all Xia Fei wished to chant was his beloved’s name, over and over. His beloved, with wild red hair and sharp eyeliner and physical intensity to match.

He laid Xia Fei out on his side and placed himself right behind. One of Xia Fei’s legs was lifted, held up in place by Vein’s arm, as the latter barely let him cool down for a second before continuing from a different angle. Snaking the arm holding up Xia Fei’s knee down to his cock, Vein did not forget his new favourite activity—denying Xia Fei the relief of release. Instead, he slowed his movements, letting them feel every millimetre of friction.

Each unhurried drag drew out more hints of pleasure hidden inside. Xia Fei ground his hips back to match Vein’s leisurely pace, to an approving grunt against the back of his neck. Vein’s forearm pressed into the back of his thigh as he held on. Xia Fei unintentionally strained against it with every groan spilling from his lips, bitten nearly raw at the slowness of it all.

“More. Weiying-ge, please.”

“So polite... You’ve been such a good boy today, so I suppose you deserve your reward.”

Xia Fei angled his head back against Vein’s shoulder. His eyes were glassy, and it seems that’s all it took for Vein to commit to ruining him. Again, he might add. Not that he had any complaints, of course. Familiar fangs pierced the skin of Xia Fei’s neck, and he couldn’t help but shudder at the heightened sensation as cool lips sucked blood from a large artery. Xia Fei’s new healing factor tried to close the wound, but Vein’s sharp teeth remained embedded within.

With his eyes closed, Xia Fei tried to let himself drown in the feeling until fingertips slid along his lower lip, and he didn’t even think before taking them into his mouth. He ran his tongue over them, then tentatively bit down on one. Judging by the way Vein exhaled against his neck, where he was now alternating between licking at the wound and drinking more, as implicit assent, Xia Fei proceeded to fully pierce Vein’s fingertips with his early-stage fangs. He broke the skin without much effort, and laved his tongue along them as he caught the first few drops.

Vein’s blood tasted far better than any refrigerated blood bag. The tang of iron coated Xia Fei’s tastebuds, but not so much as to conceal the subtle hint of sweetness. He nearly moaned around his partner’s fingers as they pushed just a little further back. Below, Vein changed the angle, and Xia Fei let those moans escape from his throat.

He was losing all of his shame, little by little. Hard not to, really. Vein’s found every single weakness Xia Fei had never even thought of, and used that knowledge to drive Xia Fei to the precipice of euphoria, over and over.

The climax hit far more suddenly than Xia Fei was used to, once his partner released his grip. The combination of Vein drinking his blood, fucking him with expert precision, and the cool blood dripping onto Xia Fei’s tongue drove him over the edge without a single moment of notice.

Vein let out a muffled curse into his neck, as Xia Fei unexpectedly clenched around him. He came too, a few seconds later, spilling inside Xia Fei; marking him with it just as much as their constant bites did.

“Like hell you’re recording it.”

“Young master, what can I do to earn your forgiveness~?”

“You... how shameless!” Xia Fei still wasn’t sure how Vein convinced him to do this... this being role-playing master and servant in their bedroom.

“This servant cannot help himself. His master is a great beauty, after all.”

Xia Fei’s blush intensified. It wasn’t the first time he’s been complimented for his looks, but the intensity of Vein’s affection guaranteed that the words were spoken with nothing but conviction, even in a role. The almost shy tone with which he spoke, so uncharacteristic, made it all the more flustering.

“Make yourself useful, then. Serve me.”

“It would be this one’s greatest honour.”

Alright, then. “Lie down and don’t move unless I allow it.”

Vein complied, acting as if he didn’t look like a model for some adult magazine. The front panels of his plain white shirt, unbuttoned, slid down from his well-defined chest to rest on the bed; wide shoulders slightly raised by a pillow underneath were pressed back against the headboard.

For his own act, Xia Fei crept onto the bed after him, standing on his knees just above Vein’s lower legs.

“Might this lowly servant assist the young master?”

Xia Fei decided to push his luck a little by really getting into character. “You think you’re worthy? How presumptuous. I’ll do it myself.”

Already placed on the bed was a well-used tube of lubricant. Xia Fei picked it up, trying to radiate an air of haughtiness as he squeezed it onto his right hand. After placing it down, he took a few moments to slowly move his hand back and down to his entrance. He didn’t even bother starting with one, having already semi-prepared himself earlier in the shower. Instead, two quickly became three, as he rocked back on his own fingers above Vein’s prone form.

Xia Fei had some difficulty reaching his prostate on his own, with the angle different from when his partner did it, but with some tenacity, he managed to locate it. As his thighs tensed, Xia Fei finally glanced up at his unusually-quiet mate. It was rather embarrassing, all things considered, but Vein was utterly fixated on the scene before his eyes. Entranced, he watched with the intensity of an artist memorizing a scene to paint. Or, perhaps, that of a predator watching its prey willingly prepare itself for consumption.

It didn’t take long for Xia Fei to deem himself adequately prepared to take something larger; visibly erect under black underwear in front of him. He proceeded to lean forward on both hands, both now free, yet one somewhat sticky, and crawl forward a bit until their faces were only centimetres apart.

“Can’t even hide your desire... pathetic.”

One of Vein’s hands barely moved, fingers curling up a bit, though his expression did not falter. Only his eyes showed exactly how he wanted to respond to that. Luckily for Xia Fei, he held back, clearly quite committed to his role.

Xia Fei reached down to push the underwear out of the way without even looking. He knew Vein’s body well by now, and the understanding was mutual. He only broke eye contact once, to drip some lube directly on Vein’s cock, which twitched at the sudden coolness. Xia Fei stared, or perhaps glared, into his partner’s eyes, holding the shaft in position, just barely brushing against his taint for an extended moment. With his other hand, he lightly dragged several fingers down Vein’s chest. Seeing his lover nearly shiver at the faint contact was incredibly gratifying. It was rare for him to get to tease Vein; usually it was the other way around.

Soon enough, due to his own impatience, Xia Fei lowered himself. It took quite a bit of effort to inch down, rather than seating himself fully in one movement. The veins (heh) in his partner’s forearms swelled, fists clenched at his sides, showing how much he was restraining himself. Xia Fei didn’t say he could move yet, after all.

Eventually, the back of his thighs came to rest on Vein’s hips. Without moving, he started talking again. “How many poor girls’ hearts have you broken? Surely even a lowly retainer must have had some suitors.”

“None that matter. This one only has eyes for you.”

A groan escaped his throat at the declaration, but he didn’t forget to play along: “So you admit you’ve been lusting over your master?”

“Who wouldn’t? But this unworthy servant seems to be the only one to see him in such a beautiful state.”

“Hah,” Xia Fei huffed, lifting himself again, “Flattery won’t get you anywhere.”

“It got me underneath you,” the red-haired man muttered, eyes burning with sheer want. The drop put pressure directly against his sweet spot, and Xia Fei did the opposite of shutting up. How was he supposed to respond to that? Vein’s flirting never really stopped, even during this little session. It had been subdued for a while, but now that Xia Fei was riding him, the restraint was fading.

“Enough talking,” Xia Fei snapped, rather unconvincingly. To make his point, he hooked a hand around the back of Vein’s neck, pulling him close to meet his lips for a moment.

“You want to be used so badly? Fine.” Xia Fei tried something new—tugging at Vein’s long red braid, which earned him a low groan in response. Oh? A bit harder next time, until Vein’s head tilted back. Xia Fei’s urge to mark that pale expanse of skin along his neck was too strong to resist, and with one hand already grasping his lover’s long hair, he sunk his extended fangs into a most delicious carotid artery.

Vein’s hands snuck up to grasp at his thighs, fingertips digging into firm flesh. Xia Fei wanted to call him out on it, but his mouth was busy. Trying to keep his hips moving while continuing to drink Vein’s blood was a bit of a challenge, but he’s had quite a bit of practice by now. Combined with Vein’s own subtle movements, a familiar feeling began to surge low in his abdomen.

“The young master is so tight... could it be that he has never been with a man?”

“What, you think you’re special? Keep dreaming.”

“Far from it. Unless this too, is a dream—I wouldn’t mind never waking.”

Xia Fei clenched down hard as he bit into his partner’s shoulder. “So depraved... show me what else you’ve dreamed of, then.” It was dangerous, but Xia Fei only felt excited for the possibilities.

“Whatever the young master desires, this one shall gladly offer.”

Apparently, that meant trying another new thing. Shibari. Vein placed Xia Fei on the bed, and left him there to go to the massive walk-in closet. In a number of conversations, Xia Fei had gotten Vein to reveal some of his interests. Now that they were both vampires, the physical imbalance was less dramatic. Now, Xia Fei was in the mood to let Vein tie him up. It’s not that they hadn’t explored some light bondage before, but Vein insisted on not rushing the process.

Red-dyed linen ropes; never used. Their previous attempts had only involved short silk ties. Vein’s delectation at finally getting the chance to use the expensive set was undeniable.

...

...

...

“This is called takate kote. Certainly not an easy form, but I have a feeling we’ll get lots of practice.” Doubled rope twice around each wrist, crossed up behind his back. Vein must have practised this on a mannequin or something, with how fluidly his hands moved; looping the rope around his arms and chest just tight enough to hold; around his hips, and then between his legs, barely enough to avoid becoming uncomfortable.

For each leg, a tie above the ankle, then three more above. Hooked around the top loop, then the rest below, repeated on the other side from the bottom-up. Finally, secured with a few passes between them.

“I don’t think you quite understand how beautiful you look, Felix. I might consider keeping you like this forever.”

“Weiying-ge...” Xia Fei’s throat was dry. Vein’s slow, careful loops around each limb had taken what felt like hours, and he was desperate for anything to quench his thirst. Vein trailed his index finger along each set of ropes, then down Xia Fei’s chest around each central diamond down his sternum and abdomen.

With no difficulty at all, Vein went and lifted him up, positioning Xia Fei on top of his thighs facing him. Xia Fei shifted his hips forward against his partner, and the resulting friction drew an uneven sigh from his lips. Vein’s hands soon moved, one to his waist, and the other on his rear, guiding Xia Fei into a steady, rolling rhythm. Up, back, down, forward, repeat.

The hand on his waist slid up to his neck in a possessive grip, leaning Xia Fei’s face down slightly so their foreheads pressed together. Vein’s red eyeliner was still immaculate, and Xia Fei distractedly considered ruining it to be a feasible goal for the night. The man’s eyelashes, too, were red, and Xia Fei was close enough to count each fine hair framing stunning eyes; crimson irises were split by cat-like pupils, wide and wanting.

“The young master has gone so quiet, except those pretty moans. What happened?”

Xia Fei, in very mature fashion, stuck out his tongue, too heady with pleasure to bother responding properly.

A quiet laugh shook Vein’s chest for a moment. Those deep lines of abdominal muscle vibrated below, and Xia Fei’s eyes took it in with undisguised appreciation. He wanted to touch, but his hands were currently tied behind his back, so his eyes would have to suffice. Vein was hot, and annoyingly aware of the fact. It probably only added to his aura of cockiness.

Both began dripping precum again at some point, and the resulting wet trails only made the slide between them smoother.

...

...

Vein placed several pillows down to make it more comfortable as he eventually nudged Xia Fei down on his shins and chest. Xia Fei laid face-down, shoulders over his knees, with his rear on full display for his lover behind him. Now, it was less embarrassing than thrilling, in anticipation for what could happen next. Vein gripped his waist with one hand as the other positioned his cock to finally get on with it.

Xia Fei gasped when his partner fully entered him again. He was already incredibly wound-up from fingers brushing against skin all over his body throughout the tying process. One of Vein’s hands found a place on the rope around Xia Fei’s wrists, and the other planted into the mattress beside the pillows.

He lost most of his coherent thought as Vein proceeded to drive into him, again and again. Each thrust was hard enough to punch out the breath in his lungs, and Xia Fei couldn’t, wouldn’t do anything but take it.

...

Vein’s movements stopped just before Xia Fei should have reached an orgasm. A frustrated groan, for the nth time that night. “You’re so mean...”

“You like it.” The certainty of Vein’s tone left no room for denial. It’s not like he was wrong, either.

“Laoban, you’re driving me insane...”

It seems that complaint was incorrectly received as praise, as Vein traced the outer shell of his ear with his fangs, narrowly avoiding getting caught on the helix piercing.

Unfortunately, it and Vein’s thumb running over his chest instantly reminded him of one of his adventurous partner’s recent ideas—nipple piercings. Xia Fei was not opposed to it, but silver still tended to cause some irritation since he was only recently turned. Continued consumption of Vein’s blood should eventually subdue such bodily reactions, but he needed to wait a little longer.

Luckily, as a vampire, his healing factor also meant that any future piercings did not require a months-long wait before any activities. Additionally, while Vein hadn’t actually asked him to do it, only mentioning it in passing, Xia Fei could tell he would like it. Perhaps it could be a birthday surprise.

Hands dipped to what was framed within the lowest rope diamond. “What’s got you so distracted?”

Words came out without thinking. “How to get revenge on you for this.” Anyone else would have been dealt with swiftly and harshly. Xia Fei could argue he was currently undergoing the opposite form of retribution.

“Naturally. But you’re still leaking.”

“Because you won’t let me get off!”

“Guilty as charged. I’m simply appreciating how delicious you look on the edge.”

It was basically confirmed now, Vein was turning him into a freak. Or maybe it was there all along, waiting for his arrogant, bossy, sweet vampire lord to draw out. Because Xia Fei came, only moments after Vein finally took mercy and slammed into him a few more times. His release coated segments of the red rope in translucent white, the rest either on his skin or dripping down onto the sheets. That annoyingly dear lover of his didn’t last much longer, driving deep inside as Xia Fei tightened further around him.

In a moment of what Xia Fei dismissed as incoherent post-nut rambling, he spouted some utterly absurd words that he would never again acknowledge. Vein vehemently disagreed with the decision, and teased him endlessly for it. Xia Fei’s face felt permanently flushed at times, but it was an acceptable price to pay for his Weiying-ge’s affection.

Notes:

My attempt at drawing XF because like I said earlier, he's even prettier tied up ;) + original post on Bluesky here.

Mild spoiler alert for S3e03:

Xia Fei is so darn adorable... the way he said "laoban" activated my cuteness aggression. And then there's Vein being a badass as usual, plus Li Tianchen being tired of these damn gay ppl everywhere. His reaction was hilarious. I was worried about VeinFei being too OOC in this fic but after seeing their reunion moment... all concerns have been dispelled.

Also hello A Yuan! Didn't expect their ability/activation eye colour to be light yellow, but cool! Bonjour Jae!

Then there's poor LG, who's trauma is like an onion with the number of layers it has... I'm rather surprised that "I'm perfectly well, why don't you believe me!?" line was actually from the previous timeline, though. And then the production team apparently decided we need to see Lu Guang crying at least once per episode, which is both a blessing and a curse.

S3 has been a real treat so far, as expected.
