"I guess you never know someone you think you know." Marinette says simply, clenching her fist, leaning against her only friend.
"Can't see the knife when you're too close, too close..." Adrien tries to placate her temper slightly, hands on her shoulders.
"It scars forever when someone you called your friend shows you the truth can be so cold, so cold..." The shorter retorts, eyes filled with righteous rage and icy indifference, her eyes say; `Either your on my side or you aren't. If you aren't, don't expect me to forgive.` Adrien stays in his place behind her, supporting her silently.
"I'd wipe the dirt off your name, with the shirt off my back..!" She continues, glaring harshly at the apologetic class.
"I thought that you'd do the same..." Her voice echoes through the classroom, strong and angry.
"But you didn't do that!" The bluenette exclaims angrily, tearing up slightly, wiping away her tears.
"Said I'm the one who's wanted for all the fires you started!?" The 14-year-old asks, laughing without humor, leaning harder against the blond.
"You knew the house was burning down!" She continues, uncaring of the classes guilty and angry expressions.
"I had to get out!" She exclaims pleadingly, trying to make them understand.
"You led your saints and sinners and fed 'em lies for dinner!" Alya flinches when Marinette points at her, eyes filling with tears at the venom in the other's voice.
"You knew the house was burning down!" The blue eyed girl continues, eyes examining the class for any hint of genuine remorse.
"And look at you now!" She breathes out, anger hot but also cooling.
"And look at you now..." Adrien shakes his head at his classmates, disappointment clear.
"Mari... We're sorry.." Alya says, voice honey sweet, eyes hiding greed, everyone's eyes holding greed.
"How do you sleep at night?" Marinette asks, spitting out anger she didn't know she was capable of.
"No one to hide behind betrayed every alibi you had, you had, you had..!" She continues, eyes full of anger and rage, stepping forward slightly.
"Every chance to make amends 'stead you got drunk on bitterness and you still claim that you're innocent, it's sad!" The class steps away from the enraged bluenette, shying away from her disgust for them.
"Said I'm the one who's wanted for all the fires you started!?" She asks, only held back by the blond at her back, but it's clear he's not doing it for them.
"You knew the house was burning down!" Her voice rises, hands clenched into fists at her side, "I had to get out!"
"You led your saints and sinners and fed 'em lies for dinner!" Her words like acid, dissolving all the excuses her classmates tried to make for their behavior and betrayal.
"You knew the house was burning down!" She spits angrily, glaring harshly.
"And look at you now!" She continues, turning fully and walking out of the room.
"And look at you now." Adrien shakes his head, following after his girlfriend.
"Marinette!" Alix yells, the class behind them, "Talk to us!"
The bakery door opens, Marinette stepping out and leading them to the park, they were disturbing the customers.
"What." Marinette says, arms crossed over her chest, "I said all I needed to."
"Hear us out!" Alya pleads, none notice the black cat hiding in the trees.
"No." She says coldly, backing away, "You're just going to make excuses."
"Mari-!" The brown eyed girl reaches forward, grabbing her wrist.
"Used to tell me you'd pray for me, you were praying for my downfall!" The bluenette growls angrily, wrenching her wrist from the other's grip.
"You were digging a grave for me!" She continues, voice sharp as a knife, all previous indifference gone.
"We were sharing the same four walls!" Her voice is loud and hard, she's pissed.
"Used to tell me you'd pray for me, you were praying for my downfall!" She laughs shakily, tears brimming in her bluebell eyes, her smile manic.
"You were digging a grave for me!" The 14-year-old continues, her heart practically breaking at the classes- no her friends betrayal, why couldn't they just let her go!? She wants to heal!
"We were sharing the same four walls!" She spits, backing away from them, she backs into a tree, relaxing slightly when Chat Noir lands in front of her.
"And you- Said I'm the one who's wanted for all the fires you started." Marinette breathes, hands shaking violently with her emotions.
"You knew the house was burning down..." She continues, placing a shaking hand on Chat's shoulder, stepping next to him, "I had to get out!"
"You led your saints and sinners and fed 'em lies for dinner." Her voice is calmer now but it's still angry.
"You knew the house was burning down!" She says, wiping away her tears with a shaky hand, taking the superheroes hand and walking back home.
"Used to tell me you'd pray for me, you were praying for my downfall!" Marinette exclaims, angry tears falling from her bluebell eyes.
"You were digging a grave for me!" The liar just smirks angrily from behind the prison glass, green eyes filled with genuine hatred
"We were sharing the same four walls!" The bluenette continues, voice strong but not screaming about it's strength, simply letting itself be strong.
"Used to tell me you'd pray for me, you were praying for my downfall!" She spits with venom, wiping her tears angrily.
"You were digging a grave for me." She breathes in deeply, calming herself, anger still flowing through her but this girl doesn't deserve her anger.
"We were sharing the same four walls." The short 14-year-old turns, leaving the liar to her punishment for her crimes.
"And you-." Lila watches Marinette walk out of the prison, eyes filled with genuine hatred and malice.
