Chapter Text
As Exorspace ran through the forest, a bag slung over his shoulder, he was excited. He already had his fill of blood, but his sister hadn’t eaten yet. Adoptive, of course; his biological family had left him long before; But a woman, around 23 at the time, had found him in a cave. He was a pitiful thing then, only the age of 18. He’d outlive all his “families” in an adoption centre due to the blood thirst. This one, however, was different; She wasn’t one to want to kill vampires. She didn’t even know what a vampire was. How lucky Exorspace was, to have a sister so kind.. And not afraid to die! He’d protect her.
Only an hour later, he stood in the middle of a blazing inpherno, holding a woman away from the fire. Although the fire was strong, the woman's body was cold. She was only 26, only 3 years of raising him, and yet, the humans killed her. They killed their own kind because she had housed a vampire. Even as she told him that she loved him, called him her “little brother” for the last time, his ears had rung. His eye was full of tears that wouldn’t fall.
He’d flown her away from the remains of the house, eventually ending up in the Blackrockian mountains. She’d wanted to visit when she was alive.. So she would, even if she couldn’t see it herself. Eventually, Exorspace had found a small cave, with gemstones and crystal everywhere. He draped his coat over her body; Her lifeless eyes half open, if it weren’t for her lack of breathing it would look like she’d been alive and drowsy.
“Enjoy it here, Mel..”
“..My one and only big sister.”
Those were his phinal words before leaving the mountains for good. He knew what he had to do next; Revenge, it was only natural. He’d have to work his way in, though..
[idfk 9 years later, hes 30 ish now]
It had been many years since the incident. Eventually, he’d worked his way into a church. It hurt to enter, at first, but after a while it seemed to stop. As if the SFOTHs he’s been praying to had listened to him. “But why me?” He had thought; Vampires were strongly frowned upon, especially by the Heights.. “Holy SFOTH,” He had thought, getting down on his knees in a prayer stance. “Bless me my strength, a guardian angel, holy divination, and freedom from sin.” He pressed his hands together a bit more tightly. “Allow my sister to be okay in the Heights, under your protection, holy SFOTH.” His revenge plan, he suddenly realized, had already been executed; Unknowingly, he had essentially purged the whole town for food, only leaving a few children and 3 adults to take care of them.
So what now? He couldn’t settle down with a family; His immortality would surely end in more bloody messes and more grief. He could serve his life as the immortal priest, but surely that ought to get boring, and the hunters would surely kill him. Perhaps he’d continue his priest work, moving town to town..
Suddenly, the doors had burst open; A band of hunters once again. They all tried, one by one, getting stronger each time. Exorspace didn’t know how much more he could handle..
Eventually, after the battle, he’d won. The floor was covered in bodies and blood. He was out of energy, so he went to one of the bodies to feed. Suddenly, he collapsed. That town.. The one that burnt his home. They’d gotten too strong now, and in this town nobody knew about him being a vampire. He began to crawl, but had passed out. When he woke up, he wasn’t in the town inphirmary, nor was he in any of the church’s rooms.
He was laying down on a couch. He tried sitting up, but fell back down from his injuries. He lifted his shirt to see how bad it was, and.. They were bandaged? Even his rot was bandaged. Suddenly, he had felt it; His horns weren’t touching a mask, and there was no eyepatch touching his face. His rot was showing, disgustingly. Once again, he had stood, beginning to walk around, eventually finding a kitchen; only to be greeted by a tall figure. It had a helmet with three eyes, and two giant wings.
“Two giant wings?!” Clearly, it was a seraph. The angel had walked over to him in his stunned silence, picked him up, and put him back down on the couch. Eventually, the vampire snapped out of it; What was wrong with him?! He was a priest, and an exorcist, yes, but vampires were essentially demons. They couldn’t love angels. It was forbidden, wasn’t it?
The angel had left, and returned with some soup. Exorspace looked up at him. “Why? Who are you?”
“I am Seraphlaser. Your guardian angel.”
