Shattered Jade and Crimson Silk

Summary:

"Jiejie," her voice purred through the quiet room. It was smooth as silk, dripping with a dark, teasing playfulness. "I'm back. Did you wait long for me?"

When San Niang promises her a surprise for the evening, Xie Lian expects something beautiful, perhaps a little extravagant. She does not, however, expect the Ghost Queen of Ghost City to return to Paradise Manor with such a striking and playful new look, complete with shimmering butterfly accessories that catch the light.

Work Text:

The underground palace of Paradise Manor was always insulated from the outside world, turning night and day into nothing more than arbitrary words. But tonight, the atmosphere inside the private bedchambers felt exceptionally thick, heavy with an underlying anticipation that made my heart race in a way it hadn't in centuries.

I had already finished bathing, the scent of fresh lotus lingering on my skin. I sat at the edge of our massive, silk-draped bed, dressed in my simplest, loosest white sleeping robes. As I slowly drew a wooden comb through my damp hair, my mind refused to settle. Just before dinner, San Niang had leaned close, her breath warm against my ear as she murmured a promise. She had acquired a new outfit, she said, her single dark eye glittering with a wicked, playful light. “I can’t wait to show Jiejie,” she had whispered.

My hands trembled slightly at the memory and my imagination had spent the last two hours running entirely wild. I genuinely could not wait to see what she had in store, yet the anticipation was making my stomach do nervous, fluttery flips.

The heavy, dark wood doors finally slid open with a soft, familiar click.

"Jiejie," her voice purred through the quiet room. It was smooth as silk, dripping with a dark, teasing playfulness that immediately sent a shiver down my spine. "I'm back. Did you wait long for me?"

I turned around, a welcoming smile already forming on my lips. "Not at all, San Ni—"

The words died instantly in my throat. The comb slipped from my fingers, clattering uselessly against the floorboards. My breath caught so hard in my chest that I genuinely forgot how to inhale.

I—uh... tgfxytgvhugvhkj...

My mind completely short-circuited. If my spiritual veins hadn’t been restored, I am certain whatever energy I had would have entirely imploded right then and there.

Standing in the doorway was the Ghost Queen of Ghost City, and she looked so breathtakingly, devastatingly sinful that it felt like a physical blow. She had completely discarded her grand, heavy crimson robes. In their place, she wore a sheer, gossamer-thin red dressing gown made of a fabric so light it seemed to float like mist around her silhouette. The robe draped incredibly loosely over her shoulders, entirely unbelted and falling wide open to reveal the stunning display underneath.

Beneath the translucent red silk, she wore a structured, midnight-black lace bra. The dark lace framed her pale, porcelain skin with scandalous perfection, highlighting the elegant slope of her collarbones. Lower down on her hips sat a pair of matching dark, low-rise briefs. But what completely shattered my last remaining shred of composure was the intricate, glowing jewelry draped across her skin.

A delicate silver chain rested against her collarbone, holding a tiny, polished blue butterfly pendant. Mirroring it, a highly detailed, multi-layered body chain was draped across her waist. It hugged the curve of her hip, adorned with a dozen miniature silver butterflies that shimmered against her bare skin with a faint, ethereal blue glow.

Her legs were encased in dark, sheer thigh-high stockings. The delicate fabric was held up by intricate lace garter straps that contrasted starkly against her pale thighs. Her long, dark hair fell wildly over her shoulders in a cascade of loose waves, framing her sharp, beautiful features. Because of her form tonight, her long, elegant, sylph-like elven ears peaked through her dark locks, adorned with delicate silver piercings that caught the dim lamplight. She wore her signature black eyepatch, and beneath it, her lips curled into a smug, deeply knowing smirk.

She stood there, casually adjusting a single, dark glove over her hand, tilting her head as she watched me completely freeze into a statue.

"Jiejie?" San Niang purred, taking a slow, deliberate step forward. The sheer red fabric of her gown fluttered around her legs like trapped butterflies. "You're staring so intensely. Do you... not like it? If it displeases Jiejie, I can change into something else immediately."

"N-No!" I choked out. The response came out far too quickly, my voice pitching higher than I ever intended.

A ferocious, burning heat rushed straight from my neck to the tips of my ears, and I knew my face had to be a bright, brilliant scarlet. I gripped the silk bedsheets behind me, my knuckles turning white just to keep my hands from shaking.

Seeing my absolute, utter meltdown, San Niang let out a low, melodious chuckle. It was a fond, vibrating sound of pure amusement and satisfaction that echoed from her chest, her pointed elven ears twitching slightly as her smile widened. She loved seeing me like this, completely undone by her very presence.

Unable to take the teasing for even a second longer, and needing to hide my flaming red face, I reached out. Abandoning all my usual restraint, I grabbed the lapels of her sheer red robe and firmly pulled San Niang down onto the bed with me.

With a soft gasp of surprise from her and a rustle of silk, we tumbled backward onto the mattress. Before she could say another witty, teasing word, I immediately buried my face deep into San Niang's shoulder, wrapping my arms tightly around her. The familiar, soothing scent of maple leaves and sweet incense washed over me, grounding my racing heart.

San Niang let out another soft, breathy chuckle, her initial surprise melting into pure warmth. Her gloved hand came up to gently stroke the back of my head, her long fingers soothing through my hair as she held me close against her chest.

"Goodnight, my precious Jiejie," she whispered tenderly, the sharp edges of her mischief completely gone, leaving only absolute devotion as we drifted off to sleep.
